Chicken fajitas burrito (queso on side)

Absolutely fantastic! A hidden gem. Total hole in the wall. We'd never have found this place if a friend hadn't recommended it. Glad they did tho, cuz it was outstanding. Very authentic. Huge portions. Reasonable prices. Good food. And probably 75% of the patrons I saw were Hispanic. That says something! The sopes were my favorite. I got El Pastor and Carne Asada (one of each). Holy cow they were good. As a result, I ate like a third of my monster burrito. They have a salsa bar, which is unusual, but I love that I can doctor up my tacos to taste. Try the pineapple salsa. My wife order shrimp tacos and said they were incredible. They sure looked good. Ima need to try those next time. And we will be back. Don't go during the lunch rush, cuz seating is limited. But they also have a food truck selling tacos a little ways west down RT 76. Across from Starvin Marvin's.

SOLID! Found this gem through yelp and google reviews. Service was amazing, in and out in no time. Food was too notch. No gluten issues after eating. While I didn't see the pozole, it is a weekend special and must be a hit. While we were there, I watched bowl after bowl go out to tables.

3 tacos - chicken, beef, and birria

Absolutely delicious! Ordered the beef, chicken, and birria tacos and they were amazing! Also got the queso and it was some of the best I've ever had. Service was superb. Intimate setting and the salsa bar was great!

A nice little spot hidden along Hwy Country Rd for solid authentic Mexican food. As we walked in we knew it would authentic as the place was packed with local Mexicans. I got the Carne Asada Burrito and my wife got the three tacos plate. My burrito was packed as were my wife's beef tacos. They have a salsa bar with great authentic choices. The taqueria is also conveniently in the middle a bunch of attractions so you can eat and play.

"Chips" to munch on instead of tortilla chips. Yummy and crunchy.

Food was alright. Not spectacular. Food was overcharged for what we asked for. Our waiter was nice. Cashier lady was rude. She sucked.

I was skeptical about a Mexican restaurant on the outskirts of Branson, Missouri, but we were pleased to find this hidden gem. If this restaurant was in San Antonio it would be on my short list of top choices, at least based on the one experience. We all agreed it exceded expectations and if we're ever back in Branson, we'll return. The parking lot was empty when we arrived, not a good sign, but it was 2:00pm on a weekday, in the off season (early May with temps in the upper 50's) so we decided to chance it. We walked in and were the only customers there. Everything only got better from there We received a healthy servings of chips with a small carafe of salsa, so no need to ask for refills. We ordered an appetizer of guacamole. It was on point. We repeatedly remarked how fresh and tasty everything was. My wife had a mango margarita. It came with plenty of mango flavor, including some fresh mango chunks. I had the ground beef chili relleno with a side order of cactus (nopales). I've had many disappointing chili rellenos, but this one was perfect. The ground beef was well seasoned and not to dry or too sloppy like you sometimes get. Is was very lightly breaded, so if you really like a lot of batter, that might be a negative for you. It was served "open-faced ", sliced open so the ground beef, topped with plenty of cheese, was on top of, not really stuffed inside the poblano chili, but it was awesome. The cactus strips had been stewed with onion, tomato and jalapeños, so it was almost like a spicy warm salsa, or if you've ever had spicy green beans cooked with tomato and jalapeño, it was kinda like that - really good. My wife had enchiladas with a side of fried ripe plantains (maduros) and our grown son had tacos. Again, everything was great. The server was attentive and food service was quick (to be fair, we were the only customers). This is a small place They have a patio but it was chilly so we sat inside. There were only 5-6 booths and 4-5 tables but the decor was nice. They played mostly mexican pop music ( incl. Selena - Bailey Este Cumbia) with some American pop - a nice mix. I almost never post to Yelp. I had to recover my password to post this, cuz its been years, but I didn't want to let this pass without giving these folks credit.

I ordered the birria tacos and they were phenomenal. The margaritas were the highlight though--the blueberry margarita was the bomb and one of the best I've had. Marcus is a man of his craft, knowledgeable, concerned about our table and those around him. After we reserved a large table and had our reservation fall through they were nothing but kind. While we shut down our mishap we had the honor of trying a marg and some of their tapas. 100/10. My only regret is I did a live margarita instead of spicy chili mango as my marg base. Spicy chili mango is a house made creation - with the creator himself staffed the same night. Our experience was not at all good and I cannot recommend the place at all. When the server brought our margaritas, flaming with sugar cubes on fire on top of a dried orange; a fly committed suicide on my sugar curbs. The server got me a plate on which to put the orange with dead fly--noting else. The food was cold and my wife's tacos fell apart before she touched them. We order guacamole which came after our lunch and only because we requested it from the delivery person, who did a good job. The server disappeared and I had to go looking for someone to help us pay the bill. As terrible as this experience was, the manager on duty watched the whole event and did nothing, said nothing, and looked sad--not a good customer service perspective. The marketing gentleman who had nothing in the game was the only person who cared; the both of them were good. The restaurant was not!

I have also eaten at their Branson location before, and this one definitely has a different vibe. The Hollister location feels calmer and more relaxed. The restaurant is very clean, and I really like the open kitchen concept where you can see the cooks working. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which always makes a difference. My only personal complaint is that I wish the food had a little more flavor and spice. Their hot sauce is not very hot compared to what I usually expect from a Mexican restaurant, and I personally like Mexican food with more heat and bolder flavor. That being said, I think a lot of restaurants in the Branson/Hollister area tone things down for tourists, so that may just be the local style. The prices are a little high, but that seems pretty normal for the area. Parking can also be a little tricky depending on when you go, since it is on a narrow street with street parking. Overall, it is a clean, friendly, and nice little restaurant. I like the concept and the atmosphere. I just personally wish the food was a little spicier and had more authentic Mexican flavor.
