I had three tree companies give me a bid for the removal of a large dead cottonwood tree in my back yard. Arborscape was one of them and their bid was by far the least expensive. I made an appointment for the work, they called the day before to confirm the work and said what time they would be here. I watched much of their activity, and having retired from a job where safety was a big concern, I was impressed with their safety standards. They were quick, attentive, no damage to any surrounding structures and most of all they cleaned up. A great experience with this company. There was a bit of miscommunication at first (mine included), but I feel they followed-up correctly to make sure I was getting the service I was looking for. I contacted ArborScape via email over their website requesting a bit for some tree trimming. I did receive a response to my initial email. I responded by asked some questions about scheduling a estimate and communicating to the estimator about the work I was needing. After a week I had still never heard back from ArborScape. Ironically I started receiving spam email from ArborScape but never got a response to my questions about a bid for work. After a week of no response I phone ArborScape. After expressing my concern with their unresponsiveness to my bid request -- and me having to pursue them to get the bit -- they became upset at me. They acted as if my expectations were to high. The best I can describe it is that they seem to feel entitled to my business. They can make mistakes, be unresponsive and blame others ...and those things should not matter to a paying consumer. An "I am sorry. We dropped the ball." would have gone a long way. read more

Tree trimming and stump removal crew and service was great, but their office and billing customer service was poor.

This is the worst landscaping company! I hired them to lay sod and it was a total mess. There were weeds growing in between the seams. Such a horrible job! They don't communicate or return phone calls. They admitted that the people that laid the sod were brand new and inexperienced but they never did anything about it. The owner offered to come by and spray my lawn with weed killer. Unbelievable! read more

I needed two branches that grew over my house trimmed back, so I called two places to give me an estimate. The first place came out and gave me a quote no problem. Then Arbor Scape came out and sent a man by the name of Marcus to my house to write an estimate. As it turned out Arbor Scape was slightly cheaper so decided to hire them. When they came to my house they stated that only one branch was quoted, the other one was not in the quote, so now they would like to charge me more for removing the second branch. I was very clear with Marcus when he came, not sure how he just got confused or if this is just an upsell scam they use. Clearly it would make no sense for me to remove one branch over my house and not the other. I would not do business with them, I am now going to hire the other company who is not interested in playing these games. read more

I give one star only because they showed up when they said they would for a site visit for a quote. I am unclear how a company who has a physically running office with people who actually answer the phones can stay in business when that's about all they do. Showed up, saw the job, promised pictures and a quote. That was 5 weeks ago! I gave them 10 chances (yes, I said ten) by calling to follow up "where's our quote" - answers: "oh we are so sorry, we will have Nick get back to you", then no call back, no email, no quote. Let me repeat 10 times I followed up just on principle at that point because I could not believe all these people actually work there and not one person ever followed up. Shocking they are in business at all. Competitor showed up, gave a quote next day, made additional recommendations which were approved - job is done to our satisfaction - never heard one reply from ArborScape. I recently had ArborScape out to trim our old (probably 60-80 yr.old) maple tree, that sits in front of our West Highlands home. I had contacted three tree service companies, and ArboScape was unbelievably low with their bid. I even called them after receiving all bids, and asked if they were sure they could do what I wanted to have done (especially trimming the overhang above the house) for the price they quoted. I was assured that they would provide the service I'd requested. I gave the okay, and they came out and began work. Suffice it to say, everything I'd hoped would be accomplished was. At one point--after several hours--I stepped out front thinking they were done, and was surprised to see that they were simply repositioning their equipment (and climbers) to take care of the overhang. I do believe the good work they did will only serve to prolong our beautiful old maple's life for at least another seven to ten years. Thank you! ArborScape. read more

We chose Arborscape because they had such generous reviews. They came out to do the estimate as requested on three trees, two in the front and one in the back. Not knowing anything about tree care, I requested that the trees be cleared of any dead limbs and to be trimmed as needed, I figured the "professionals" would advise us as to what needed to be done. The appointment was scheduled, in quite a rush by Arborscape I might add, and they came out to do the work. When I arrived home, a neighbor immediately came out of her home to tell me that Arborscape had done really nothing to one of our trees. They trimmed 4 branches. That's it! They did great work on the other two trees but to charge us full price for clipping 4 branches off of a tree is ridiculous! I called to discuss this with Arborscape (Megan) and was told that they would be out to review the work and would get back to me the next day. I waited. A weekend went by and still no return call. I called them the following Monday to find out if a resolution had been reached. Megan's response was "We can send a crew out to trim more off of the tree." I had to ask if the tree needed further trimming. She replied that Arborscape recommends a trim every three years. I had to ask again if the tree needed trimming in the first place. She finally replied that it did not. Honestly, why would we want to pay for an unnecessary service? We relied on the professionalism of this company to advise us. I had to explain to Megan that a professional would have advised of the lack of need for the one tree in the first place. They, however, offered nothing in return, just a sad reply that she would " take that into consideration in the future." No refund for the tree was offered. Arborscape saw an opportunity to put a little money in their pocket immediately rather than looking at the situation and saving a relationship that would have generated not only a lifetime of business but a lifetime of referrals. read more

I was referred to them to bring down a large dead tree in my backyard that had some wires around it. Their estimate was $300 lower than the closest one and I wouldn't have to have the line dropped. The estimate I was left had 3 different prices for different work, so I responded to their email with a request they leave the big pieces so we could use it for firewood and to take all the little scrap. Also to cut the trunk just below where it v'd. They cut down the tree, several inches above the v so we have to go back ourselves to re-work that, but they took all of the large logs and left a large space covered with twigs and splinters basically. I emailed and asked if there was anything they could do since what happened wasn't what I requested and was told that "since they did what the estimate said, I could pay them $100 to come clean up the mess they left.". Since I'm already out over a year's worth of firewood & will have to buy that now, I decided not to pay them more money to increase my losses. So if you have a very general job, sure, they're economical and others have had good luck. If you want to pay for a specific type of task though, do so at your own risk. You may spend a few days bagging tree refuse and buying firewood. In follow-up, they did offer to come back and fix the trunk, and offering to send me multiple copies of the estimate I approved. It listed 3 different services, and what we wanted was "in between" a couple of them. Their responses have basically meant "don't approve it if it wasn't perfectly what you wanted", and that is my lesson learned unfortunately. No matter how clear it seems to be communicated, don't assume a vendor understands and less they send you a new estimate. read more

I recently hired ArborScape to trim several trees in my yard, and they did an excellent job. I got four quotes from various companies and their's was the most thorough. ArborScape's price estimates were similar to the other companies' quotes. The customer service was excellent - the estimator came out a second time when I had a question about a specific branch. I was able to line up the trimming fairly quickly and the guys came on time and did a terrific job, cleaning up everything and making our overgrown trees look neat and taken-care of. The guy in the tree was a pro. Oh my, the tree came down swiftly. August 24th, the tree was on the ground..."we'll be back to remove the tree." It is October 5th and the tree still sits on my front yard. The crew must have left on a very long vacation. On August 29th, the grinder arrived. What joy, they brought an even larger log from a neighbor's yard down the street. yah, they ground out the stump. I am sad I met you folks. read more

I hired Arborscape to remove two dead aspen trees in backyard. Their estimate for tree/stump grinding came in considerably less than another well known company. Arborscape also had a smaller stump grinder to get through gate. Other company only had a large machine so they couldn't complete stump grinding project unless they did it by hand at increased costs. Workers arrived on time, completed project and were gone in a few hours. Definitely recommend. read more

We've had a great disappointment with ArborScape. They came in and gave us a quote for cutting down our tree, which was $1,200. That totally beat out the completion (we had 2 other quotes). We were happy to schedule a cutting 3 weeks out. We were on notice with our HOA and had to extend the time to get rid of the dry tree. On the date when they were scheduled to come in, I got a call from them, telling me that that quote was too low and they'll have to do the work for 2 days instead of one and they can't cut our tree for lower than $3K! Which was more than double the original quote! I asked bewilderingly why they won't honor their original quote (which we had in writing). They just told me that it won't be worth their time. The guy who called me said that he's an expert.Then I promptly asked him if the guy who came in originally (Andrew) is not an expert since he agreed to cut the tree for $1,2K. There was no reply. Andrew eventually called and apologized for misquoting. Kudos for that - facing an angry home owner and all. Well, we found someone to cut our tree soon and they did it for $1K. So I guess the time and money is much more valuable for ArborScape than a good business reputation. I work with businesses and I know that sometimes you have to eat the price in order to keep your reputation. This was disgraceful. Never again. read more

We had arborscape trim 2 trees in our yard, & both times they did a fantastic job. The first tree I thought they may have taken a little too much off, but hey, they're the tree experts. The second tree we got trimmed right before we moved, so we asked them just to do the minimal work so it would look good, & they were really understanding & did exactly as we asked. They even picked up extra sticks lying around our yard. Both times their prices were MUCH better than other places we got quotes from (like hundreds cheaper!) so even after we move we'll definitely use them!! read more

Arbor Scape came in with the lowest big to trim the dead branches off my front Ash tree and clearing the branched from the back sumac tree near the garage. They did a good job on the front tree, but the back they only trimmed a few branches. For $130 in the back it did not seem like such a good deal. I called them to take off more of the branches that were hanging over the garage roof, but would be charged an additional $110. Not such a good deal after all. read more

I've been using this Tree Service for about 10 years, trimming, removal . advice etc.. I've always had super service. I will continue to use them as long as I have trees to take care of and I highly recommend anyone who need great tree service to uses these guys. read more

Work was fairly good for the most part, a few branches were left behind. $500+ to cut and remove 4 small trees in 45 mins. Next day forgot to send someone to stump grind as scheduled, but did return later in week or so to do it for free, a $65 savings. read more
