She was very outgoing, friendly, and willing to find suitable substitutions with the coffee menu that would accommodate my dietary needs. I was also thrilled when I learned that the cardboard sleeve on my coffee had artwork by children from a local elementary school! What a great way to get children involved in their community. While I was conversing with the person next to me in line the young man who was "Mike's Way"-ing my sub decided that more vinegar and oil wasn't enough, so kept adding more. When it came time to pay we clearly stated that I wanted chips and a drink, my wife only wanted a drink. They rung us both up for chips and a drink, so we ended up with a bag of chips for both of us because the person who rang us up wasn't listening. I went back to try the door 2 or 3 times, but the employee was still in there (my wife was sitting facing the restroom.) Waited 15 minutes to use the restroom. Never was able to because I got tired of waiting. I want to thank that employee for being considerate of the customers. (#sarcasm) While it wasn't an entirely bad visit, it's nowhere near what we normally expect from Jersey Mike's. This particular location is in the fern creek community just off bardstown road. Penn station to me is my favorite fast food type sub place. They are on the expensive end but to me there subs are then best tasting, they have top notch fries and a great cookie. My personal favorite and favorite sub of all time is there pizza sub. Thai particular location is a pretty good one. Usually processes orders in a timely fashion and is upkept pretty well. A little smaller dining room on the inside then other locations. However we usually use the app and pre order and just pick up the food. Overall I'm a fan of all Penn stations. There are some locations I prefer over others based on location or customer service. That said this location is a good one. There hasn't been anything to keep me from being a frequent visitor.
