All of the games are operational and in wonderful condition. Galaga, PAC Man, super Mario, virtua fighter, street fighter - you name it from your youth, and it can be found here. This place truly harkens back to a different time, and I had a sense of nostalgia during my entire stay. The 80's music definitely helped! The staff were absolutely wonderful, and were attentive, kind, and courteous. If you're craving a trip down memory lane to the arcade era, look no further!

Space is large and open with several rows of arcade cabinets, pinball machines, and gaming consoles. Machines were in generally good shape with only a few being out of order or needing attention. Marcade has a good selection of the usual machines you'd find at a retro arcade, along with a few unique machines, including several sit down racing cabinets. I personally enjoyed the Rampage World Tour and Terminator 2: Judgment Day machines. Space was very clean and prices for an hour were reasonable. Marcade is a average but solid retro arcade that is absolutely worth a visit if in the area.

Eh, hit or miss all around…read more Claw games and anime collabs are fun for the kids, and the pool tables are almost always available, which is great. Food (when they actually have stuff in stock) is usually good. The bad: Some of the workers could use some customer service training. Bad. A guy named D*ll*s was unnecessarily aggressive and actually MEAN when we asked why they weren't able to combine our points into one card. (We've got points scattered about over a dozen cards over the years.) He insisted that in order to redeem them, we'd have to use them one by one but that points can't even be combined during the transaction to exchange for a higher point item. He shook his head angrily when I asked to speak to the manager to confirm this, bc that's odd - why make it harder for customers to redeem points especially when each card costs $2 before credits are even added. One of the managers explained that the inability to combine cards is a point of service system issue that they've been dealing with but is ultimately TEMPORARY and is location-specific so it isn't a problem at the Danbury location. But like, it's not that serious- we're just going to hold onto the points until this location's POS is updated. The fact that D*ll*s was unnecessarily rude and aggro is more annoying than the points thing. Jeez, he acted like answering STANDARD customer service questions is a burden. So... yeah. He could've just told us that? We're not in a rush to use our fake arcade money.

I…read moreonly found it strange that score control boards were missing from several lanes as if owners opted not to repair those to save money but it didn't hinder usage of the lanes or the fun I had there. Overall a solid bowling alley I'll certainly return to. Pricing is not bad with an unlimited bowling price per hour. If you have a small group it's a fair value since you can probably get about three games in per hour coming out to about $5 per game which is the average cost at other alleys. If you have large groups then I'd split the groups up in multiple lanes to get a bit more for your buck but otherwise fairly competitive pricing in my opinion. My only complaint was the lack of air conditioning on a hot summer day which made for a little uncomfortable experience otherwise I would have stayed longer.

I asked for a refund since we wouldn't even be able to finish our game in the hour and they said nah. They could give us an extension but that was it. They didn't care that our only hour to play in the day was wasted just sitting around waiting for their machinery to work. Honestly super lame experience and a big vibe kill. I wish this wasn't our local bowling alley.

However most of the games weren't working. There were games that looked to be worked but it turns out they weren't. So basically any money I had on my card got eaten up and when I went to customer service they claimed to put it back but when I checked the balance it wasn't true. Perhaps it was the card but it was just a terrible experience. A lot of the people working seemed very inexperienced.

Are there better places to play pinball? Maybe. Okay, yes…read more Assuredly. But I drove hundreds of miles out of my way just to come here and play pinball. Why? They have a Rick & Morty machine. Thank you Pinball Maps for leading the way! The hardest part about playing pinball here is finding an entrance to the dead/dying mall in which it's located. The anchor stores are mostly closed. The mall road encircling the building is in disrepair. Signage isn't great. But once inside I appreciated the low level of lighting to minimize any glare on the glass. The machines were loud enough to hear all the call outs, which is also not always the case. I have to say, I've never been a fan of the swipe card system of payment. And I prefer arcades where there is an on staff attendant. However when I had an issue with one of the machines, I saw there was a number to text, so I put it to the test. Almost instantly I was in touch with a person who was able to remotely turn off the broken machine and put replacement credits on my swipe card. That's great service, especially considering the person was remote. They said they would be in the next morning to fix the machine. And guess what? They were! I probably should have let him know that the switch in the Rick and Morty garage did not seem to be functional. But the last thing I wanted was for that machine to go off line. I'd rather play a slightly befouled version of that game than not get to play at all. Anyhow, consider yourself lucky if you live within the area. Finding someone who takes pride in their machines, is harder than one might imagine. There's a good mix of new and old tables, all for a dollar a pop. Certainly this is way more fun than those other blinking lights, bells, and whistles at the casino in town. One can either throw their money down the toilet, or scrape together a few quarters and learn the ins and outs of pinball. Just make sure not to come hungry. The food court in the mall is a bit of a ghost town. But fortunately Old Forge Pizza is just a short drive away.
