the shop is small but really cute and clean inside. there are only about five tables, and they were all taken when i came during lunchtime. the parking situation is also tough. the lot is very small, and if there are no spots, you can't wait by the entrance since it's on a busy street. they do offer some really unique specialty flavors that i haven't seen elsewhere. i ordered the strawberry shortcake matcha latte and creme brulee matcha latte, and the presentation was beautiful. unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't live up to it. both were overly milky and lacked a matcha flavor. the creme brulee cream top was essentially just whipped cream with torched sugar, nothing really memorable. overall, i loved the concept and creativity, but the execution just wasn't there for me. maybe the flavors and cream tops fit more with their coffees. read more

This cafe popped up one day on the corner of Market and 14th street. It has a small parking lot and is always filled whenever I'm in the area. Luckily, on a weekday morning, I managed to get a spot. There are a few tables outside the cafe. Inside, the cafe looked clean, bright, contemporary but plain. Just a typical looking cafe. There were a couple people seated inside. The tables are along the window and wall. There is also a couch. While waiting for my turn, I looked at the menu. There are a variety of lattes and matchas as well as a monthly special menu. There is a pastry shelf within bagels and croissants. No sandwiches. I asked the barista is what they had in regard to food was all they had. She said yes. I just ordered the earl grey bouquet matcha with oat milk. It came out to $9.24. I didn't have to wait long (less than 5). Staff is friendly. Lids and other coffee condiments were on a small table. I tried my matcha and it was very good. The early grey and matcha complement each other in a sweet way. They added a foral decoration to it. Looks aesthetically pleasing. There is not really anything that makes the place unique. I'm pretty sure parking would be tough, since it's a small parking lot and there is only so many spaces. But overall, it's fine. read more

This has to be one of the best coffee shops in Riverside. I've been to a lot near downtown and around but this one tops all of them. To start off, customer service is amazing. you can see the entire staff show off their own personality & ALL are extremely professional and have a warm welcoming smile. A cozy new gem right by RCC! A brand-new coffee shop just opened up a short walk from Riverside City College, and it's already one of my favorite spots. The interior isn't overly extravagant, but you can tell the owner hand-picked every decorative piece. Everything meshes together nicely, and the Christmas décor adds a warm, festive touch that makes the space feel extra inviting. The barista who helped me was amazing. She really knew her stuff--she explained what goes into the drinks and even told me where their pastries are locally sourced from. Her recommendations were spot-on. I ended up ordering the iced ginger snap latte and a coffee cake, and both were delicious. On top of that, her friendly and welcoming attitude made the whole experience even better. I had a few question of their monthly menu and she kindly explained it all to me very detailed. Have never been disappointed here, they make their syrups in house and have some great variety. The prices are far better compared to some other specialty coffee shops in Riverside. The service is friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and giving suggestions. They offer pastries and treats from Simple Simon's and have some seating inside and out. I've been wanting to try this new local coffee shop that recently opened up. Am I happy I did! It's a little space, but it's super quaint and comfortable. I can see myself coming here to read or do some work. Definitely a great alternative option to the busier coffee shops. Tasty drinks, albeit on the pricier side. My saffron cloud dirty chai with almond milk (heavy cream used for the cloud...no vegan option) was $9.50. I think this is more expensive than some of the fancy matcha drinks I've gotten from Koreatown in LA. I forget if that included tax already. Drinks are pretty and robust though! I like that they have seasonal specials for the month. The saffron was perfect and not too strong for my drink. The matcha and honey cinnamon drinks are good also. I've been to Luxuriant Coffee several times now to get my London Fog latte. I love getting it with extra lavender syrup and it always tastes perfect! The staff is friendly and love the decor inside. There's not much parking out front, maybe like 6 spots, but you can always park around the block and walk over. It's not an issue for me since it's by my work and I usually walk over. They have a regular menu and also a monthly specialty menu. They sell different pastries, bagels, cookies, cakes. When I stopped in today, they had bagels, coffee cake, snickerdoodle cookies, gluten free cookies, and some sort of muffin. I love that they make their own syrups. Finally was able to check this place out and it was super cute! I got the earl grey bouquet matcha from their February menu (which I assume they have a different menu every month). It was delicious one of the best matcha I ever had, everything blended in perfectly even though there was a layer of syrup/sweetener at the bottom, matcha and then the blueberry cold foam! I loved that they added like dried freeze blueberries to the top! Pretty spacious inside has seatings and wifi to work or study as well as outside but it was raining so outside was closed off. this is my second time coming, the matcha was good it's more of a milky sugary matcha. maybe it was the portioning or the way it was mixed. The male in the mexico jersey was nice and attentive. The caucasian female that wears her hair in pigtails, never smiling, the first time i came i asked if she had banana matcha and she rudely pointed to the menu and said "right here" didn't ask for any milk preference. I only write this review because when i first came it was very passive aggressive never a thank you or an attentiveness to want to take/make my order. this time i was helped the male was friendlier, when i picked up my drink i said thank you nothing crazy, only after i walked away and another customer got their order does the female respond with "have a nice day" it just feels passive aggressive and the female looks like she hates her job, or talking to people. I was in the area and wanted to check out a new coffee spot that I've never tried and saw that this was within 5min from where I was. When I arrived I was greeted promptly. I opted to try a monthly special drink that was the creme brûlée coffee. I waited a few minutes as I was the only customer waiting for a drink. I believe they were having trouble with the torch to sugar on top. The drink itself was $8 dollars for a small size. Creme brûlée: 7/10 it was good but not worth 8.00 Maybe I am biased but I do not understand how a small cup of coffee is being sold for eight dollars maybe if it was a large I'd feel better about paying $8 but I definitely would not pay eight dollars again. read more

Blueberry scone was more like a biscuit texture and tasted good when I dunked it in the latte. It was more of a orange blueberry flavor, to me. I counted 3 outlets at the high tables so you could plug in your laptop or phone charger and get some work done. It's small inside so I wouldn't have a study group here. The vibe felt more light jazz and instrumental than hipster here and it's all windows so you have a nice view of Mt. Rubidoux in the distance. I would come here if I was visiting someone in the hospital across the way and needed a coffee break. I would recommend this over Starbucks, however I'm not sure if they have an app or if you can order ahead of time via a website if you need a quick stop to pick up coffee and go. I notice any new coffee shop opening up in L.A., O.C. or I.E. has the same or similar interior design, a coffee with a good cold foam top and some sort of flavored coffee as the standout, here it's raspberry, other places it's orange. They also almost always have a merch section with a dad hat and t-shirt with branding. The monthly specials are refreshing and exciting, I always look forward to it every month. All the women servers I've talked to are really nice and friendly. It's very cozy inside as well. I have been waiting for quite awhile for Martha's coffee shop to open and it does not disappoint. The barista's are nice and accommodating to specialty requests. Some syrups are crafted in-house and the coffee beans are roasted at Lift. My favorite drink is the Golden Latte which is an even balance of ginger and turmeric giving it a subtle earthy flavor with the ginger waking up your taste buds for a nice finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Classical music plays in the background and seating is comfortable for a visit with friends. Tables with outlets nearby offer a place for folks to work or students to study. The small front patio gives you a perfect view of Mt. Rubidoux. Luxuriant is located on the corner of 14th Street and Market Street, there is traffic roaring by throughout the day and parking is limited. Yet, it is a place that offers reprieve from the daily grind of basic coffee where you can sit and watch the world go by. read more

I added a photo of this months lattes that they offer and i ordered the salt toffee latte. let's just say that it doesn't disappoint. truly a yummy latte that's slightly salty with a nutty/warm aftertaste. I strongly recommend coming here if you're in the area to try their new monthly flavors. The cashiers are always nice, very patient and also quick in producing the drinks themselves.
