First of all I will start of saying that my husband and I absolutely loved Arcade Dowtown. Note that I stated loved. Much like most restaurants specifically in DTR they start out great. Food is great, service is great then they build a customer base and service and food go to crap. During our stop in on a weekday at the end of the busy morning shift we were ignored for a good 15 minutes while the employees behind the bar were busy stamping paper cups and doing other tasks. We got frustrated and walked out the door. Maybe it was because it was a weekend and the C team was there or maybe service is just going downhill like every other DTR restaurant. read more

I went today (Sunday @9:30am) and my mushroom tartine and draft latte were very good. My friend had the avocado toast and a cold brew and said they both were good. We both commented on how tasty the bread was. My draft latte tasted like a Vietnamese coffee which was a pleasant surprise because that is my favorite coffee drink. I don't know if that was intentional, but I enjoyed it. I ordered the draft latte at the Canyon Crest location last month, and I don't remember thinking it tasted like a Vietnamese coffee. I had made reservations for 9:30am from their instagram account. The person who took our order and seated us was very friendly, and it seemed like our coffee and food came out fast. So me and my friends actually came here finishing a hike from mt.rubidoux and wanted to try some new breakfast. We walked all the way to Arcade to try it out. By the time we got there we had no clue what to order. The place was clean and very calming. This lady was generous enough to explain the menu to us and gave us coffee samples which were extremely delicious. I ordered a vanilla yogurt bowl with seasonal fruit and my friends ordered the French toast. The yogurt itself was very good, a little on the sour side though. I wish they had options to add honey or additional sweeteners on the side. Even though it came with a very sweet almond butter it wasn't enough to cover my sweet tooth but it's okay. The fruit was delicious. I wouldn't pay that much for a bowl of yogurt but if you have the money go for it! My friends both shared the French toast and said it tasted good but didn't expect the citrusy flavor and didn't find it too pleasing. I on the other hand rather enjoyed it but it did cost a little bit. I understand there is quality fresh ingredients but you could buy more food at a dennys or something for that price. I payed over $40 dollars for everything on the two pictures. I'll definitely be going back for the coffee and teas, just not for food. read more

Unsanitary and lacking in cleanliness. I visited on May 15th and a young women working there kept touching her nose, clothes and running her hands through her hair. During my entire visit she did not wash her hands once after all this and continued to bring out dishes to the customers and handling the equipment in the coffee bar. read more

Went here for breakfast with my sister. The food was amazing! The avocado toast is another level. The service was great. We had questions about their baked goods and we were given the answers to our questions with no haste. The ambiance was a vibe. Even though it was full in there, it still felt roomy. Insanely excited for this location. If you live in Riverside you might know a bit about arcade coffee roasters. Compared to the other locations there is much more seating. We came in on a Sunday morning around 9am. There wasn't a rush so we approached the hostess and asked how long the wait was for the 4 of us. She asked if we had a reservation. We told her we did not and she straight up chuckled at us. She then said it would be around 20 minutes with no reservation. We were like ok that's not bad so we left her our name and number and walked around. We came back about 20 minutes later and noticed a long line had formed. I approached the same hostess and asked her how long more it would be and that it had been around 20 minutes. She basically doesn't care and tells me well you can stand in this line and we can see what we can do. She goes I told you that you would need to order at the podium so you'll need to stand in this line now. This is a total lie as nobody in our group remembered her telling us this and it's very odd because why would you take down my name and number then in the first place? The only reason we hung out in that area was because she told us the wait would be about 20 minutes. If this was not true then don't get our hopes up. Instead of accommodating us like you were supposed to, your response is to unapologetically tell us to stand at the end of the long line that has now formed. The hostess was not friendly at all, lied to us, and overall we did not feel welcome and appreciated as potential customers. I'd rather give my business to a place that actually cares about customers, no matter if the food tastes good or not. If the business owner is reading this you need to hire more friendly and welcoming people and train them to be more upfront with customers about how your operation works. Don't get people's hopes up and then crush them and be mean about it on top of it, you are asking for a bad review. Thanks read more

Arcade has really good coffee and a gourmet menu for a reasonable price. My friend and were glad to finally make it to this location. I had the new Arc Burger and loved it! Cooked well with unique flavors. My latte was crafted carefully as usual and Ai enjoyed every sip. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The environment was clean and trendy with lots of benches, chairs, counters, and tables to sit at. Great coffee but enjoying coffee from Cali to the Pacific Northwest, I have NEVER paid almost $10 for a small cup of coffee. Seattle has a higher cost of living and the most I've paid for a large is $8. As a business minded professional, some need to realize that taking a couple of dollars off brings in more customers, and doesn't cramp their style. This place is soooo good and clean inside I just moved downtown and I've been walking over here basically every day. Love their brunch and their lattes are 10/10. The only thing I wish is they had more vegan options! This place could thrive even more with some more vegan food/pastry options. Service is always great too.
