I live in South Florida and was on a trip through the Southwest. It was 8:00 pm at the Grand Canyon when to my dismay I broke my front veneer! Having a small window of time driving the next day to the Phoenix airport I had the good fortune of finding my way to Dr Byers! I asked for a temporary since I thought I would need to have a new veneer made in Florida. What he delivered in less then 2 hours was remarkable and honestly looks better then the original veneer! My old crown broke in half last night and by 1:00pm today I had a brand new beautiful crown. Wow! Dr Ted Byers was fantastic. Explained everything. Didn't try to sell-up to some expensive alternative ... They laid out the pricing and I felt no pressure to go one way or the other... however, the minimal increase in price to 'get er done' in house and have the crown made then and there was a no brainer. The staff is all Amazing, knowledgeable, and super friendly! My favorite so far is the incredibly gentle dental hygienist. I always have a great experience here. I moved to Phoenix area last May and (having to wait for insurance) needed to find a new dentist. Did my research and what my insurance allowed me to go to and found this gem down the street from my house. Immediately walking in, it was very clean and organized and was greeted right away. Able to complete the paperwork online prior to appointment so just a couple of signatures and I was set. Dr. Ted Byers came out to greet me (never had the doc come out first!) and was surprised to sit down with him in his office prior to even starting my appointment - he got to know me on a personal level and really made a good rapport. X-rays and cleaning went smoothly - Daniela is AMAZING. Never over sold me on procedures that I don't need and was super gentle. I went in for a new patient visit. The office and the staff were very nice. However, the reason for the poor review was that I was told all charges would be discussed BEFORE beginning treatment. After they checked my insurance, I was told that I would owe $0.00. The standard teeth cleaning and xrays were performed. I get to the end of the visit and I suddenly now owe $100.00. Dr. Moe and her team, Gabby and Nicole, are awesome. Dr. Moe was understanding and made my dental visit a much better experience than I anticipated, especially when I learned I needed a crown. Gabby, explained the crown process, what to expect during the procedure and possible side effects after I left. Nicole, front desk, helped me navigate the insurance company, and called and asked if I would like to come earlier to get the procedure started. I just recently moved to Phoenix and needed to find a new dentist. Not going to lie, I first chose Arcadia Modern Dentistry because of the proximity to my house and the clean and inviting exterior. Every person on staff there is amazing. They're knowledgeable and understanding and make sure to explain what processes they need to take and what work they'll be doing. I had to get my X-rays, deep cleaning, plus a couple fillings. Dr. Moe and team did an awesome job making me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. They take most insurances and so that helped tremendously with costs for all the work I needed for a first visit with them. I expected to pay much more. I am so happy and pleased with AMD and would recommend them to everybody. read more

This is an excellent place for cosmetic dental procedures. I lost a tooth in a food frenzy accident, and they were able to accommodate me in a moment's notice. Not only did Arcadia Modern Dentistry make me a near-perfect temporary the same day of the accident, but the actual crown was made to perfection, and installed in a timely manner. My Dentist's name was Dr. Byers; his work was so proficient and inexpensive that I purchased a set of veneers for a perfect smile. Staff was friendly, although the both times I was there, it was a different dentist. Both dentists recommended $5000 worth of dental work. They did tell me my insurance wouldn't pay for it, as it wasn't an emergency, but I did need it done. II then went to my previous dentist to get a second opinion, and he told me the dental work did not need to be done. I would not recommend this company. read more

I came here for the first time for a routine dental cleaning. The staff there is very nice and take great care of you. The dental hygienist was very accommodating and made sure I was comfortable with everything. She also made sure that I was satisfied with the cleaning as per my expectations! Even though I had issues with my insurance, they had a great offer on a dental cleaning for only $39! Overall a great experience. The people at this office were very nice and the place seemed new and clean. However I went to this dentist as a second opinion from a Dentist that I went to see a couple of months earlier that wanted to replace a crown on one of my teeth. Arcadia said they not only wanted to replace that crown but also wanted to replace 2 others and a tiny cavity they wanted to drill as well. My main concern though is that they quoted my twice as much for a crown replacement as my other dentist. Only after I questioned it did they mention their is a less expensive option I could do but they wouldn't warranty it. I understand that businesses are in business to make money. I just hate that a Dentist needs to be that way. Why do they have to try and do as much work to you as possible in the most expensive way. Healthcare shouldn't be done this way, but all to often I think it is in this country. So hard to find a dentist that isn't concerned with their pocket but rather with what is best for the patient. read more

I come here every 3 months to see keely their hygienist. She is the only reason I continue coming here. Plus shes the only consistent person I've noticed. Every time Ive seen a dentist I've been told the previous one no longer works there. Keely is great about planning out my cleanings based on what I can afford but their dentist always try to pressure me to spend thousands of dollars right then and there on painful procedures that I would like to plan in advance for. Their office staff changes often as well but I have noticed the new girls are much more friendly and attentive. read more

I gave this establishment 5 stars 3 yrs ago. I recently scheduled dental work to remove a wisdom tooth. This office attempted to over charge me 3x. Office staff Deanna was the first staff to quote twice the correct amount. She always seemed to be overwhelmed, short and annoyed by my questions. Then after I insisted the office begin collaborating with my insurance company the quotes slowing decreased. At the day I arrived for my oral surgery, Deanna again attempted to overcharge me. I called my dental insurance to ensure they were following ethical billing practices. That goodness my insurance company was able to catch their unethical billing practices. I scheduled the oral surgery with Dr. Madi. I was provided instructions right before my surgery, same day and followed the instructions. Nowhere in the instructions does it mention the risk of developing a dry socket. After a week of painful recuperation, I spit out a piece of bone. I scheduled an appointment the next day with Dr. Hamataj who informed me that not only did I have a dry socket, but the piece of bone I had spit out was actually a piece of my jawbone. She packed the socket and directed me to continue over the counter pain medication. Two weeks have passed, and I still have a hole in the back of my jaw and continue to experience pain. I suggest you find an ethical dentist to avoid the frustration. read more

He was through, explained everything very clearly, and answered all my questions with a heart felt bedside manner not usually felt from a dentist. From the front desk staff to the relaxed atmosphere, Arcadia Modern made me feel very welcome. While traveling to California I cracked a back tooth, which was giving me lots of pain. I called the office and got the next available date and time to get into get checked. I drove the four hours and made my scheduled appointment. I was met by two friendly staff members. With a quick checkin I was ready to see the Dr. I had done the "history pre check" online. The dental assistant greeted me and took me into the X-ray lab. Digital X-ray . Finally no more radiation... after 2 quick X-rays I was ready to get checked by the Dr. I was offered a cup of water or juice, so relaxing, since the dental office can be stressful. Doctor Byers was so super nice found the problem and explained some options for the procedure, crown and or root canal. But would check it all and let me decide. One of the front desk staff car over and explained the money options. So I wouldn't be surprised by a big bill at the end of treatment. Actually it was a quick treatment, I only needed a crown, which Dr Byers made right in the office within 30 minutes. Got it all fit in, polished, cemented in, color matched perfect. Today I'm back to work no pain. I can bite down on food again. So, if you're looking for an amazing,effortless,painless,comfortable Dentist Look no further then Arcadia Modern. Takes all the anxiety out of going to the dentist. Oh yeah. Btw, while waiting for that short 30 minutes for the crown to be made. The hygienist cleaned my teeth. This is the first time in 54 years that I have felt comfortable with a dentist office. I spent many years letting anxiety and fear stop me from taking care of my teeth. I now have a plan to correct all my dental problems and no longer have fear or doubt about continuing with this care. Just sorry it took so long. From the moment I walked in the door this office felt different somehow. I felt relaxed starting with the staff. The dental assistant was wonderful, and funny and put me at ease. The hygenist was super as well. This office did not have that dentist office smell that freaks me out. The mannerism in which I was treated was soothing and caring. The dentist Dr. West, explained my course of treatment so I fully understood what was a priority and what was long term care. Guess what? I already had some major work done. I was (am) shocked at how I felt no real discomfort. No tears needed !! During the procedure everyone made sure I was fine. And you know what? I was just fine! So I deciced to write this review, which I never do, and let others know that if you are scared and put off dental care due to bad experiences, pain or other reasons - you no longer have to feel that way. Give this office a chance to prove to you that dentistry has changed so drastically from what you may have experienced in the past. No more fear of dentists. I absolutely loved my visit to this office. I went in for a check up and to get my wisdom teeth out. Nikole was really great, specially with helping me with my financial factor. My treatment plan with Dr. Moe was easy and all lined up, and Dr. Lamb was such a trustworthy surgeon! First time getting any serious work done on my mouth, and I couldn't be more happier and safer! I was so impressed as new patient that I returned for a second visit! Someone from the office phoned to set up an appointment. We confirmed date and time, and also price, since I'm a cash pay. My teeth are in great shape, and always have been. The cost was quoted for cleaning exam and x rays at $150. Upon arrival the attempt to sell me into a plan for $200 wasn't a success for the gal at the front desk. She kept trying sell me up, I declined, she became indignant, stating my visit was going to be in excess of $240.when I questioned her about whom I had spoken to on the phone, she then became rude. Several key things to be aware at this business are the bait and switch of prices on services to be provided. Note the switch comes when your in the office! And buyer be ware with these dental plans, they aren't real long for benefits for the patient, but bring a fine profit for the Dr. Unfortunately my teeth didn't get cleaned, and I'm looking for a new Dental office to call home! I should have looked these guys up on yelp first as there are plenty of similar reviews. I will up date if I hear back from this Co, but doubt it highly. There are 4-5Dental offices with Arcadia in their title, avoid this one! read more

Not impressed. The staff was super friendly but everyone is trying to up sell services. All I wanted was a cleaning but never received one, instead I left with a tooth brush, jar of sweets and an estimate of $1900 for work that needed to be done. Also, they wanted to complete a crown on a tooth and was $300 higher than the previous dentist I went to 6 months ago. Why is it so hard to find a good and honest dentist? I had a tooth that had a large filling. The filling was large and old and upon my routine, 6 month cleaning the dentist said i should be replaced. I've had the crown for 1 year and it come off several times. On my last routine visit the dentist who examined my mouth said I should have asked if the dentist had experience with the offices new technology. My crown fell off again and I went back and this time I was told I need a root canal and that would give me something for the crown to hold onto. I was informed when I complained about the dentist that did my crown examined the "company is not responsible for the dentist work. I would never use this "company" or dental office again. read more

I initially had a great experience. I was having problems with a filling. They got me into their office quickly. I ended up getting all of my metal fillings switched. They took my insurance and gave me a quote. I paid them in full before I left the office. A couple weeks later they sent me a bill for about $170. I was confused because I thought I had paid in full. I went in there to figure out why they are trying to charge me an extra $170. They said that they forgot to charge me the entire amount. A few weeks after that they sent me a bill for $550. Wow! I couldn't believe this. I went back into the office to get an explanation. They said that my insurance company wrote me a check, instead of them. So, I owe them the amount of this check. This is not true. I never got a check from my insurance company. Now they sent me to a collection company. Recently I got a letter from a lawyer. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST OFFICE!!! They're totally scamming me. I wish I never went there. read more
