I was locked out of the house due to this malfunction. We tried tightening the screws, but it didn't help. I reached out to Cory via the Thumbtack app messenger and asked to have the problem rectified. He didn't respond. I send other messages via phone, text, and email with no response (using the same methods as I had used in the past). Now, we are stuck with a screen door that doesn't lock properly, and no response from the company. This is bad business, and I would never recommend this company.

The framing was sloppy, out of plumb, and required a ton of rework to finish the work on the interior. The attitude from the second crew was poor. However, the first crew did marvelous work and cleaned up after themselves. So, it really depends on who is sent out. Hit or miss.

Pricewise, from the companies we interviewed, Tacheny was in the upper mid-range. One of the reasons we opted to go with them is we have Solar panels and they have their own Solar contractors to remove the panels. That saved us about 2K based on pricing from Solar companies that do the same work. There were a couple of issues we noticed after the initial roof repair was completed. We talked to our site manager, Mahkobi, and he looked over the areas of concern and got those fixed. The drywall repair was exceptional and there were no issues whatsoever. Even though we had to address some of the roofing issues, I felt the office and site manager kept us in the loop, listened to our concerns and addressed the issues to our satisfaction. I would recommend this company for any exterior work you might need on your home.

While they were not the lowest in price, and certainly not the highest, their customer experience throughout the process was overall positive and ultimately what won us over. Jan arrived to our home on time, assessed the home, and provided a quote to us promptly. He showed us some samples he brought with him but invited us to the showroom to get a better look and understanding of what we were choosing. I appreciated his no pressure sales approach and I valued the ability to look at all of my options before making the ultimate decision. After we made the selection, we signed the contract and were told it'd be 8-12 weeks before the windows came in for installation. We had another short appointment where JJ arrived to make the exact measurements, and paid half of the total cost of our windows. At week 10, we got a call from JJ to get our windows installed by week 11. Mike and Mikey were our installers and we would 100% have them back at our home! They were very respectful, careful to mind our belongings, efficient, and effective in installing our windows/door. They were sure to prep things neatly before they got the installation done. Everything structurally surrounding the windows and door were left undisturbed and our new windows look amazing! We did have one screen with a small tear in which we were informed the office would be reaching out to schedule a replacement for that.
