Maple French Toast Latte With Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich
    Steve A.

Best place to get coffee in St. Charles. It happens to be one of a few in downtown so there's plenty of options for espresso and more around here. Arcedium Coffeehouse is a good place to come at breakfast. Lunch is pretty good too as there's also options. The prices are kind of high, which is the only bad thing. A popular place in the mornings because it's always busy. It's got a lot of places to sit inside including the bar in the middle. This is a bar with coffee though. Coffee is the main item of course. It's about $6 for one of the specialty coffees including the Maple French Toast Latte. This has a cinnamon and maple flavor so it's like the real thing. Also there's food. Breakfast options include quiche and yogurt parfaits. It's about $6 for a sandwich. Has a few at lunch but most are meaty like the Ham And Cheese. One vegetarian option is the Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich. A pretty standard one to be honest. There's also things like salads at lunch. For sure it's a popular place at breakfast. It's located on Indiana Street close to the parking garage. The only thing not likable about it are the kind of high prices.

I wanted a cup of joe after lunch at Chef Abdul, and Arcedium came up in my search. I like trying boutique coffee shops rather than big chains, so I didn't give it much thought and popped in. Arcedium is located in the quaint downtown of St Charles. There is an okay amount of street parking. Inside of Arcedium is more spacious than I expected, as the place kind of loops around and there's a room in the back, along with plenty of bar seating around the front counter. I didn't spend much time there, but the ambiance was nice and service was good. I got a cappuccino to go. The milk foam was excellent, but the coffee flavor was kind of weak. Not bad overall, though. Pricing was on the higher side, as I've gotten a comparable size of cappuccino elsewhere for a dollar less.

I LOVED THIS PLACE! Lots of seating and parking. Plenty of food options. I got a breakfast sandwich that they were kind and gracious to make accommodations for me to make a vegetarian one. It was great! They have a ton of different lattes! I had a campfire latte iced and it was SO GOOD. I also tried it hot, and didn't like it as much. And I also got a hot Claire's latte that was SOO good!!! All the workers were so kind and friendly. 100% recommend !!

Cute little coffee shop. The barista was friendly and service was quick. I got the coffee of the day with 2 espresso shots. They offer fresh daily pastries but I'm on my no unnecessarily baked goods diet :) so I didn't get to try them, although they were very tempting! Seems like a lot of regulars here, which tells you a lot!

The perfect coffee shop ! This coffee shop is nestled into the cute town of St.Charles right by the river . They have tons of specialty drinks which I love all the different latte options . I have tried a few and they've all been great! They have a great selection of pastries & other breakfast . The breakfast sandwich is delish! All the workers are very kind and they know what they're doing, they're quick on their feet ! A bonus with this coffee shop is they have a ton of seating and if it's nice out , they're so close to the river you can walk the river with your coffee

There is ample lighting and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The food is BBQ and they have a little bit of everything to offer. That is great, but makes it hard to choose what you want! We certainly had that problem but ultimately were very happy with our meals. They pretty much cover all the bases as far as BBQ and the sides. The flavors were very tasty! Having one in Glen Ellyn won't have us running back to this location but that is only on account of circumstance.

These days the price hikes are expected, nothing new, and the day Nobel started to impose a penalty for paying via credit card (which initially they were ALSO taxing, and at a rate no less that was higher than Geneva's local tax percentage) was when I started only paying with cash. Hey, I like(d) their food and love(d) their employees, I'm willing to pay out the nose and jump through hoops for the experience. I'll admit, I went from eating there almost every day during Covid to maybe once a month, but when my family asks me where we should go out, Nobel is ALWAYS the first that comes to mind. Within the past week I've visiting Nobel for the last time. Prices notably up again, check. Many new employees, slower service, and uh oh, what's this, the food quality is in the toilet? Couple that with another service by Kelli and her terrible attitude, and things aren't looking great. Portions. Like everywhere else, as I said, at Nobel the prices are up and portions are down. My wife's favorite though, their lobster roll (formerly one of the best I've ever had in the United States, and I travel along the east coast quite a bit), has taken a hit harder than anything else on their menu from what I can ascertain. $31 now, which isn't new, it's been $31 since the beginning of 2026 from what I can remember, but $31 and it's probably 30% smaller than it used to be. For $31 you get a lobster roll that literally looks like a piece of Texas toast folded in half now, a 30% smaller portion of lobster, and if by some off chance you order the side salad, the side salad is also smaller. I can go on about all of the other cuts that are evident, but the $31 lobster roll is about the best display of the dismal direction Nobel House is headed. Sad... Nobel House, you'll be missed.

Our waitress greeted us warmly and quickly brought out water and coffee. She did a great job of keeping both glasses and mugs full throughout the meal. I got it with bacon as my meat and dipped it in the chipotle vinaigrette on the side as I ate it. It was awesome! I really loved that instead of black beans, there were refried beans in it, as they added a great creaminess to the meal. The fruit bowl was also impressive to me, as it was full of diverse fresh fruit. It was better than the normal assorted melons I am used to at restaurants. I got an iced salted caramel latte to go before leaving since we had a long car ride ahead of us. It was on the sweet side, with little espresso flavor coming through, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I would love to come back on a busier weekend when the place is more lively and try their huge lunch menu!

It was really bitter. Not my type at all. I ordered the short stack of gluten-free pancakes with strawberries and hash browns. But also the hash browns said seasoning on the ticket when they came out with none. I did tell the server I had a gluten allergy. I was just so suspicious that I didn't eat much at all.
