A group dinner at Nobel House left us hungry for more (in a good way!). This is a pretty sizable restaurant with a bar along half of one wall and plenty of tables of varying sizes that can accommodate whatever you throw at them. There is ample lighting and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The food is BBQ and they have a little bit of everything to offer. That is great, but makes it hard to choose what you want! We certainly had that problem but ultimately were very happy with our meals. They pretty much cover all the bases as far as BBQ and the sides. The flavors were very tasty! First time at Nobel House in a LONG time and after today I'm not too sure why because this place is awesome (it was awesome before too though). I think the last time I visit was before the renovations. Inside feels much more spacious and the menu feels more well rounded white a few more healthier options to choose from. I opted for the BYOB with grilled salmon. At first, it looked pretty small but the portion size was just perfect where I felt full but not overly stuffed. Thought we give Noble another shot, post visi from anniversary where we ordered drinks to start and didnt know if we were dining or not, was asked a few times in the case of dine or leave attitude. Today, 5/30, we had a large part celebrating a birthday. Resturant half empty. Kelli our waitress, not the most pleasant. A toddler spilled water and ice, the eye rolling and the other waitress gossip while looking at our table. Not appreciative. To flag Kelli down, was a full time job. Those PEI mussels were awesome and I really liked the cauliflower steak. Neither of which exist on the current menu. I just don't feel the food is as good as it used to be. She came back about 5 minutes later to tell me they didn't have that beer after all and then she asked my husband if he wanted something to drink. The food was okay. We both had the brisket sandwich. The meat was tender, but not very flavorful, and not much smoke flavor. After adding the pickles (these are outstanding) that come with it and the sauce (a Carolina style) the sandwich was good. For bar food the quality of meat was very unexpected and it's because they age their meats and smoke them to prepare your meal. It was packed when we got there for dinner and a little loud but not to the point that we had to yell to converse. I also got 2 sides so I chose their onion rings and sweet potato fries, both were very good as well. My buddy got the cubano with tots and let me taste. I've been to many Cuban restaurants but this was one of the best cubanos I've tasted. The smoked ham makes a difference and they added more lemon to have a more distinct taste. We tried Noble House for the first time based on the high scoring yelp reviews and we were extremely disappointed! There were only two positives about our experience; Kim who waited on us was very good and the smoked chicken wings. One note about the wings, nice flavor but if you prefer your wings spicy none of their sauces have heat. My wife ordered the chopped salad which came with smoked chopped chicken. The salad greens were average but the unacceptable thing was she found one bone and one piece of gristle in her chopped chicken. I ordered the 2 meat/2 sides dinner. I chose brisket, pulled pork, mac & cheese and onion rings. The smoked brisket had an off taste to it. Almost like the meat was on the verge of being spoiled. The M/C was subpar. The pulled pork was tender but didn't have much flavor. The best part of the dinner was the onion rings. I mentioned my concern about the brisket to Kim and she brought me Turkey but it wasn't any good either. She did remove the charge for the salad after seeing the bone and gristle. It was really good when I had it that time, so I got it again this time but just honey garlic. You can taste the smoke from it being smoked. The wings were a bit salty. It wasn't coated in the honey garlic sauce as much as last time. I also tried their side Mac and cheese last time and it was delicious. It was super creamy and rich, but not overpowering. We tried the NoHo burger this time. I liked it, it's not a terrible burger, but nothing crazy note worthy. I feel like I would have like it better with an aioli or something. Their side Caesar salad is great! You definitely can tell they used anchovies in their dressing. I mean if you don't like anchovies then this is probably not your jam, but this was great for me! Hanging out on a recent evening, we checked out this nice but expensive bar and grill. It was a pretty sweet place except for the high prices on most stuff and the lack of affordable vegetarian items. Nobel House has a couple locations with this one being in Geneva in downtown where most stuff is going on. Gets pretty busy but it's never been anything crazy. They have pretty expensive food but rather than being upscale, it feels more like a casual sports bar than anything fancy. First thing we got were the drinks. It had some interesting ones except for the high prices. They have a quite limited happy hour and not that many things on either the drink or food menus are on special. Knowing this, it took awhile to choose something, and then we got the cheapest stuff that also sounded good. There was limited choices for sure. I had a Geneva Mule. It's $10 for a cocktail that comes in a typical copper mug, which was kind of a lot but still pretty good though. This is made with Tito's Vodka, and has ginger beer, ginger liqueur, and lime like a typical version. It surely wasn't bad tasting. She had some kind of wine. For the food I suggested getting the Build Your Own Bowls. It's $16 each. These have a choice of meat or vegetables, and a choice of a sauce. Each of us got it with vegetables and the adobo lime. Fairly good except there could have been more, especially for how much these cost, which is a lot. They also have veggie burgers but veganness is questionable and they're also expensive so we passed on these. Good things to drink and eat. It's fine on an occasional visit but unfortunately it's not a regular place with these high prices. There's another location in Glen Ellyn so go there if you're over there or wherever. read more

I took a pill before eating this and picked out the cheese. For my meal I got my favorite Nashville hot chicken. It was amazing. The chicken breading, sauce, and bread all have dairy in the mix. I took a second pill before eating this. This Nashville hot chicken is amazing. This is early one of my favorite sandwiches in all of the Fox River area. It tastes tangy, sweet, smokey, it has a kick, it's great. I also had one seasonal beer. The place has been remodeled since I've been there last and I was amazed by how nice it looked. They've done a great job. The dramatic portrait of Alfred Nobel in the front is amazing. In all the food was great and so was the decor. My family and I are looking to order from curbside restaurants only, and since on Google Noble House says this option is available, we were excited to eat their food again. When we walked inside, it was crowded, the only people wearing masks were the staff. There were no empty tables, no single patron was wearing a mask, not even those waiting for a table. We stooped here after the Fox Valley Folk Festival and the waitress was great and the food was fine. When the bill came, the management had tacked on a 3% credit card fee. While I believe that is part of the cost of doing business and it is wrong to pass it on this way, the problem is that it was never disclosed upfront. There was no indication on the menu nor did the waitress inform us of such. We asked that it be removed because of the lack of disclosure but the management refused. Came here on a Saturday night around 6 o'clock knowing that they don't take reservations. We expected more people here, but it wasn't as crowded as we expected. To sit inside there was a 20 minute wait or we could be seated outside without waiting. We were seated on the back patio. There were eight tables back there and at no point they were all full (so you never had to wait for outdoor seating). Our waitress Jayme was very nice and friendly. We ordered a beer to begin with and it was brought out within five minutes. When it was brought out we were ready to order. We had a lobster roll and bbq tacos (with brisket). The food was delicious. They offer an adult Mac n cheese menu item too that you can add extras like salmon, lobster, sausage and chicken too for additional up charges. For an appetizer the dynamite shrimp is AMAZING! Tried this little cute place out on a Sunday for brunch. It's a cute little space with a very nice brunch menu. I went with the Rise and Shine, two eggs with breakfast potatoes and i chose the brisket for my meat. The brisket was good, and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. They were served on some chips (that I think they make in house). There was a lot of flavor- kind of spicy, kind of sweet. The brussel sprouts were just okay. They were made with some kind of balsamic sauce. I probably wouldn't order those again. They had a large selection of beer; however, I did not try any. The service was nice and quick.
