I don't know where to begin with. they never said a diagnosis would be $135 I called and asked for a free scan just a scope look of what could be wrong if they kindly can and if so and I agree will move forward Ryan said Yupp no problem bring it in. I bring in my car and I told them dont touch my left window it's child proof no problem. also again they never said anything of paying $135 for a look or any signature. I said please call me right away I have a baby can't be without a car no problem. no call in the day and I called to follow up no one called me store closed. next day I call and Ryan answers again I said what's wrong with it etc ok I said I have to get maybe a second opinion since a lot he said no problem can come get your car after you pay $135 my guys don't work for free. I said what? you never told me $135 to just scan a look on what could be the issue and give me a estimate that's what I asked for. no you have to pay. I said sir I'm sorry there's a misunderstand you never told me in person or on the phone. he said it's on the website meanwhile yes I never went on it but they should've told me. on the phone he goes what do you do for work nasty and have you ever worked, have you ever owned a car ?! like degrading and belittling me i never felt so upset this was terrible serious and even the owners son Matt talked nasty back to me mocking me all 5 men there to me about this. I worked in customer service my whole life and this was strange this isn't good business I would never recommend this place especially if a women how they talk to you. they said pay or cops will come real big guys and so we paid and yet my window they touched and messed up and let me drive off like that terrible business of all! read more

Absolutely avoid this place at all costs. I took my son's car there to check on some codes from a check engine light knowing if the next step was a timing belt. I told 2 different people twice what was already done. They call back the next day with "it needs a camshaft position sensor" and it's going to be just under $600 before tax and they can have it done for me tomorrow. I said, again, it's got a brand new Camshaft Position Sensor. 1- this tells me that the have no idea what's going on. 2- they were willing to overcharge me $600 on a misdiagnosis. 3- they didn't open the hood (since I have the new CPS labeled) 4- there no communication there. Even though I told the mechanic that worked on it that it's got this new part in it, I told the counter guy who wrote up the ticket the same thing and I told the person that set up the appointment over the phone that it's been replace as I know the code it's going to show and that would likely be an assumption. Also, I get people have to pay the bills, but retail on a CP Sensor is between $20 and $50 (and they are not paying retail). Installation is one easily accessible plug and a 10mm bolt that is extremely accessible if you just open the hood. We all need to make money. It took me 11 minutes to replace it as a novice $580 is steep for 10 a minute job (likely much less time for them) And the fact that not only would I be $600 in, this would NOT fix the issue. I said, ok, timing belt it is since again, it's got a new CO Sensor in it. I said thanks but I'm going to hold off I'll pick up the car. I get there. It turns out they left the keys on the hood for 2 days and had some difficulty finding them. So after they found them they have the nerve to give me a quote on a timing belt and a bill for $140. How are these people still in business? I feel sad for all the people that think this shop is honest and knowledgeable and the $140 I spent. Counter guys rebuttal was "I'm just the messenger". It's a shame that I have to give these opportunistic crooks even one star. read more

Archers is the worst auto garage in the area. They said my vehicle was ready to be picked up and found they did not reassemble the fender moldings correctly. And then told we will just use double side tape to fix the issue. Then noticed as well scratches on molding piece in attempting to remove it. They don't return phone calls. These guys are as shady as can be. Basically got the money paid and couldn't care less about the outcome. There is a reason 93% of customers rate them as dishonest and shotty workmanship. Believe me I will never nor refer this garage to anyone. Infact just the opposite. The owner and his henchmen are everything you hear about bad auto garages. Go anywhere but here. I even have pics how my vehicle looked prior to them working on it. Stay Away from archers. First pic shows how it looked when first brought to them. Others show the shotty repair they did. Was having some battery issues. They fit me right in. So friendly and helpful when I called twice before coming over. They took care of everything while I ate lunch in the customer area. Explained the service and what was needed. Can't wait for their new building to open. Just moved here and so use to having someone to trust to go to. Found that!!! Archers Auto has done services such as numbers of oil change ( without asking what type of Mobil oil so they just decided to put the highest amt of Mobile oil, which was $70),as well as a new battery, tires, A/C compressor & it seems since they saw an elderly woman bringing her car in for service they pretty much charged the highest amount. Besides that, Ryan the owner was very abrupt when asked any questions regarding prices for the services they provided (still not sure exactly what they provided for the extreme amount they charged) so you would think he would not speak to his customers in the RUDE way he spoke) I have him on video if anyone has any questions regarding how patronizing he was. I have never heard any business owner who has made very good money from customers speak to them the way he did. Regardless I would not recommend anyone going there but that's up to the individual. read more

My sister had her car towed here for an alternator replacement and they left the car out unlocked of which all her belongings we STOLEN (CDs, Registration, Gloves, 3 pairs of designer sunglasses, Handy Cap tag and several other items of which the owner did nothing. I have a 2008 Chevy uplander that had an oil and water leak. It went in for repair in November. I just had cancer surgery and was unable to do any of the work. It went in 3 times and still leaks oil. Paid over $3000. to have it repaired. The service department rep said it was repaired and if it starts to leak againits because it is old. It has only 80000 miles on it. I got it home and still leaks. The oil pan gasket is where the leak is coming from. They took advantage of a senior citizen when the could not do the work because of illness. They replaced parts that did not need replacing. After picking it up second time, they did not plug in the starter wires and it died on the way home. No recourse they got the money. Don't use them for repairs. read more

Arrived at 9 am for my scheduled appointment and dropped off my car to have the air conditioning coolant refilled. Told 1 1/2 hour job. 6 hours later no call from them. I call them and was told because I didn't stay there and wait for the car to be done, my car was put to the back of the list. Didn't get my car until 8 hours later and was never told this "policy" of theirs when I dropped off the car. Who the hell does that?? Terrible customer service. Very disappointed with the mechanics at this business. Said quite expensive work needed to be done without a definitive diagnosis given to us. Brought our vehicle to a different business and they road-tested our vehicle and told us it was the brakes making the noises due to rust on the rotors. They replaced the rotors and pads and flushed the system. Problem solved. I do not recommend this business!! Nice people, but I'm not sure about their diagnostic abilities. read more

DO NOT USE, I had the ac compressor replaced on my car by them and I had the car up there multiple times after it was done (8-10) and they kept saying nothing was wrong with it, and kept trying to charge me (actually did once), after taking it to a different mechanic I find out that they tried to modify (cut)the plug on the compressor to make it fit but was a failed attempt and just tried to force it in and every time I was driving it would go in and out bc it was not making good contact and they said they replaced the ac compressor bc they thought it was bad, if they did this They would have seen the plug did not fit, they kept telling me that it was different things and all they could do was guess what the problem was instead of fixing the problem and on top of all this ryan (owners son) said his best guy matt was the one working on it after it was brought up there several times, one of there mechanic actually seen it had no AC and he said the compressor was kicking on even though it was not, that is just to show you that they had no idea, I would also like to add one day I went and picked up my car when they had it done and I still had parts sitting in my car on my seats with dirt and grease on them that they forgot to put back on, I was very patient with ryan and matt, but enough was enough read more

I do not recommend this place to get your car serviced. I needed my radio fixed because it wouldn't shut off while driving. Just getting them to understand that was a major feat! In the end, they just found an alternate way for me to turn it off each time I start the car. I asked to have an oil change. I noticed when they were finished (both issues took a day and a half), that the oil change sticker was not on the car. When asked about it, it was determined that the oil change had never been done! In the end, I got a whopping $25 refund. Should have gotten the oil change for free. I was told that it's rare that they even do refunds, as though they were doing me a favor for their mistake. read more

Took my vehicle in to be checked for oil leak told them it could possibly be a rear main seal on 3/18 picked up on 3/22 said wasn't main seal charged me 1000.00 and sent me on my way! Got home oil still leaking brought back 2 other times still was not fixed correctly!!! the third time had for a week before leaving on vacation told them on 4/5 need by sat the 4/10 and never took look at it until fri the 9th still not fixed!!! Took on vacation still leaking on 4/19 took back at 9 am by 1030 tried telling me they need to charge me another 500.00 to fix same problem. I told them i refuse to pay more money when problem was never fixed to begin with. I have been using Archer's for 12 years now and have always found them to be HONEST, accommodating and affordable. My daughter now uses them too. Being a college student, it was hard for her to find an honest shop near campus, so she services her car whenever she's in town. If you leave your car, it will take longer than staying and waiting, but that's a personal choice. read more

Got a quote from another place for over $1,000 and was going to wait 2 weeks for an appointment. Called archers on a Tuesday afternoon , they said they could drop it off Wednesday afternoon work and they'd work on it Thursday! Dropped it off and they called me Thursday morning at 8:15 to give me a quote of $500, half of what the other guys quoted me. They had amazing customer service and it was ready by 11am. Scheduled an appointment with them 2 days in advance. I needed 1 known issue resolved, and prices for two other projects. I made it clear that I would wait the two days for the appointment, bring my car to them first thing in the morning, with the understanding that I would have my car back the same day. I communicated everything very carefully and deliberate, so there could not possibly be any misunderstanding about my expectations, and what needed to be done. I arrived as scheduled, 7:30 AM when they opened, dropped off the car, communicated my expectations to them, and left, Needless to say, I did not hear back from them untill 20 minutes before they closed. I had called 3 times during the day for updates, and got nothing. The individual that called me back seemed completely in the dark as to what I wanted done, and he mentioned the known issue I brought to have resolved, was not an issue at all. I was of course confused, seeing that they were the ones who diagnosed the issue to begin with, and gave me a written estimate to repair????SMH. SO I had to wait till the next day for a repair that I didnt need??? In these confusing and troubled times, its very disheartening to have to deal with disingenuous companies. Its a shame. We were traveling from out of state and our check engine light came on. Went to Mercedes Thursday afternoon and they wouldn't even see us Friday knowing we had 700 miles to drive home on Saturday. Archer's squeezed us in this morning in case it was something urgent that required repair. Thank goodness it seemed to be a moody sensor. Honest, good hearted people here. Archer's Action auto service center does not know how to work on foreign cars or at least Honda's for sure. They kept my Honda for almost a week with horrible communication on what was going on with my Honda but claimed it was a unique circumstances of having to change the same power steering pump 3 times. They didn't want to admit they didn't diagnose the problem before working on it. Of course I still had to pay almost $400 for them to play with my car for almost a week and then tell me it still has the same issue it had when I brought it to them. At this point I'm over the situation as a whole I did take my car elsewhere and it was fixed properly. It just sucks to waste money when all they had to do was admit they didn't know what they were doing. Beware if you take your foreign car here ! Went in to have flat tire plugged or patched, whichever. They plugged it and later that night it went flat so I went back and they said it couldn't be patched and tried to sell me a new tire. I told them I was going to go to the shop I normally go to in Conway for 2nd opinion. Sure enough, they patched it with no problems and also found another piece of metal in the tire right beside the plug. I drove around four 5 days before I decided I was going to stop back in archers because I wanted to be sure the patch held and archers diagnosis was wrong. Debated also because it was only $20, $15 plus I tipped the guy $5. but it was more principal. I go in there and the gentleman that "helped" me before was there and i showed him receipt with the patch repair and he gave me a hard time acting as though I shouldn't have come back and said anything, and said I could driven over another piece. As I live 2 miles from archers and went directly home, highly doubtful for another shard to lodge in tire right where they plugged before. That point wasn't even relative, as the point was it could be patched. He than said he wished they didn't fix flats and was trying to convince management not to. I had my third oil change there today. They always put in conventional. This time, they randomly put in synthetic. When I questioned the price, they told me to pay it or have them drain my car and put the other oil in but they couldn't do it today! Keep my car overnight! What was I supposed to do! read more

Do not take your car to Archer auto. I took my car in for an alignment for $75 and when I left it's still pulled the exact same way. They tried to tell me my sub frame would need adjusted it would cost about another $200 if not more. If that was so, why wasn't I told the day before when I took it to have it aligned. I took it to Harry's discount tires and they said it was completely out of alignment. For $60 they aligned it properly. Archer refused to refund and I was not even permitted to speak to the owner which is the father. To top it off their emails started bouncing back. They wanted me to bring my car back in to put it on their machine. My ex-husband is an auto mechanic and he said do not let them put your car on the rack after Someone else aligned it properly. I would not trust them to put my car on the rack after their unscrupulous behavior for fear they would Sabotage it. One of the sons was extremely rude. This was done just before Thanksgiving and it is now just after New Year's so I gave their father plenty of time to return my call and refund their mistake before writing a review. If you take your car here you will be told you need things that you don't. and chances are they won't even fix the problem. Good luck. as a former shop owner for years i now take my car to archers when needed my jeep quit running archers came and towed it as a mechanic i told archers what part to install i no longer have access to a lift to make the repairs picked car up on friday at 11.00 had it back at 930 saturday they called and said it also needed another part which being inthe auto repair business for years is recommened i understand this for all you negative review people archers is in business for one reason to provide a life for there family and the people that work for them you have no idea the constant equipment which is constantly needed in this business to repairs cars and trucks and this never ends for those that complain go to your national chain stores get your car repaired there and see how much your a-- hurts when you leave there your the same people that go to a bar and spend 100.00 bucks and dont complain i always said my repair shop was like a garden you need to pick the weeds out i side with archers pick the weeds out of your garden you dont need this small percentage of negative people i always said you cant survive in the auto repair business if you cant fix cars or your dishonest this doe not pertain to archers dont even respond to these people there not worth the response these people complain about everything except the bar bill thanks al miller read more
