I was looking for a last minute shop that could bleed the Magura brakes on my mountain bike... called around and all the shops I tried either didn't have the correct fittings for my brakes or they were booked out a couple weeks. Finally called Archers and Randy told be to bring it right in! They got me in and fixed my issue within an hour. Even sold me a new blade for my brake that I needed for less than 1/2 the price I could find it for online. Randy gave me a tour of the shop and was super helpful and friendly. I bought an eBike from an online bike shop and thought it might be nice to upgrade the fork. I took it to Archer's to have the new air fork installed and they called me back to tell me it was not compatible with my wheel. I told them to put the original fork back on and I would return the new one. When I got there they did not test ride it. I got the bike home and the steering was all wrong. I brought it back to them and they loosened the headset bolt. Still did not feel right, so I thought I would take it home and make some adjustments. Turns out they put it back together without the bottom race and the bearings were not properly seated. I am having difficulty finding the correct parts for my bike. Basically I now have a 3000.00 paper weight. If you value your life or your bike don't let them work on your bike. read more

I went there thinking I needed a new charger for my ebike. I actually had them order me one which wouldve been over a hundred bucks. When I brought my old one in the owner said I can fix this one and did fix it for 10 bucks. I was happy they had the integrity to not try to sell me stuff I didn't need. Such a great experience! Came in on a Sunday to check out bikes for my two teenagers and left with one for me as well. The staff was so great. We were able to find two bikes that perfectly fit my kids needs and one trike for me. We also loaded up on a few accessories that were installed for us right there. We even got help loading our bikes in the truck. I can say enough about what a fun experience it was. The kids and I immediately rode our bikes when we got home. The cloud: my wheels, a seat post, and seat were stolen off my bike, which was locked in a bike rack on our van in front of a restaurant in Albuquerque at 10:30 am. While we ate breakfast. Unbelievably poor service. Came in for a helmet for my grandson, asked the young sales guy for assistance. He replied that his hands were dirty so he couldn't help. What? Really? We went to look at the bikes, sales guy followed but offered no advice. We had to get the bikes out ourselves while he just stood there, Finally he suggested that both grandsons looked like they would fit in a 15" frame (there is a HUGE difference in their heights). We went somewhere else to purchase the bikes and ended up with 2 different size bikes way bigger than 15". read more

I came in to buy my wife an electric bike (we already knew what we wanted). We selected a Averton Pace 350 E-bike, and they assembled it and had it ready to go in less than an hour (no charge for assembly). We like the Pace 350 and the service at Archers that i returned my Sixthreezero electric cruiser and went back and got a Pace 350 for myself. This bike had been sold out from online retailers but they had plenty in stock. The staff had my bike ready to go when i got there. Great store and a really Awesome E-Bike. Thanks guys. read more

Not pushy but not helpful. I walked in with hopes of going home with an e-bike but walked out completely overwhelmed and confused with no bike. I was hoping one of the experts there would tell me what I needed and why in terms of ergonomics, physical assessment, activity level, etc. I was able to try a few in the parking lot, but nothing very exciting to feel confident enough to make the investment. I had some legit concerns I noticed while testing and he just kept saying it's how you feel and it's up to you. I actually learned more about e-bikes from the other customers in the store. Hmmm. So I get it, the bike builders / technicians are not sales people and he was very nice, patient and friendly - no complaints there! As a novice wanting to get started, I'm just saying to anyone out there to do research ahead of time on the internet or with friends/neighbors and become the expert to understand what type/size/shape/style you need. Great showroom, tons of accessories, they can build anything you want and really great place overall! Wish I could have found something there to support local business! read more

Great experience at Archer's. Went into a few other shops that day and was turned down to get walk in assistance with a simple tune up for my wife's bike and had my three year old son with me. This was the first shop that said they would throw it up on the rack anyways and help out even though they were obviously busy. As a result, ended up purchasing a bike for myself and two helmets, a little help goes a long way, they earned my business for sure! read more

My husband and I bought some bikes here yesterday. I enjoyed that we were able to test ride them around the parking lot and the sales men were very willing to assist us with our (many) questions. We walked in with only a very basic idea of what it is we wanted and limited knowledge. However, they did a great job of matching us up with a set. We didn't feel pressured to buy above the price range we had in mind either. Their used inventory was great but we ended up buying new. I ordered a new bike from Archer's after they patiently answered several of my questions. My new Masi bike arrived in Florida a few days later and had been expertly packed for shipping. Having never purchased a high end bike, I was concerned about how hard it would be to assemble. Turned out it was easy to put together, but I was unsure of which components to lubricate and what type of lub to use. Archer's once again quickly responded to my questions. They are great to deal with, shipped my bike quickly, and provided excellent after sale service. I highly recommend them and would easily buy from them again. read more

A very disappointing experience, I would give zero stars if I could. I bought a used bike and took it to Archer's on a Saturday for a tune up. I told them I just bought it, I didn't know anything about it, and I wanted the whole thing looked over and for them to tell me what I needed to fix. I myself, not knowing a thing about bikes, was able to tell that it wasn't shifting correctly and pointed that out to the mechanic. I picked the bike up the next day, eager to ride, and they told me that it was good to go. The next morning I went out to ride, and the bike was in the exact same condition as it was when I dropped it off! They were closed that day, so I ended up taking it to another shop, where they could not believe it had just had a tune up. A new drivetrain and $140 later, I was finally able to ride. When I expressed my frustration to the owner, Jessica, she refused to refund the money for the tune up, stating that she was "not able to reimburse labor". I'm not sure what "labor" they actually provided, since it seems that the bike literally just sat in their shop for 24 hours. After $100 in purchases on top of the tune up, she clearly didn't care about resolving the issue and saving a customer. Sorry, I don't want the next tune up for free, when your shop completely dropped the ball on the first one. Jessica will also resort to lying about her customers in order to look better. I gave them an open invitation to tell me what needed fixed, and I would have paid for it, but she states that I asked for the cheapest option. I also tried to settle for store credit, but she refused, and now claims that she offered it to me and I refused. Sadly unprofessional. From now on I will make sure to check my bike out before I leave the shop, and I can guarantee the shop will not be archer's. Save your time and money and go somewhere else! read more

I got a flat on my electric scooter. The rear tire got low and stem seperated from the tube. Archer's bike shop changed it on a Sunday no less. It must have been a learning curve cause my scooter was a import was not instructions but they pulled it off and It back together now and is running fine. I plan to bring my other bikes there for repair soon. read more

I live in south Gilbert and drove past quite a few bike shops to have a new (gorgeous blue)chain put on my bmx here. Why? My first time in, the staff greeted me when I entered and l indulged me in a lengthy bit of questions while my young son slowly lost his cool. I was recommended to archers by numerous friends of mine, I did when I walked in the door and then actually escorted to each piece that I started taking a look on my own and had picked out a few things and asked the young lady of these would work, she was very knowledgeable and had educated me on what parts would and would not fit. Another thing I noticed about this job is that they do not price gouge you for the things you're looking for I bought a set of gold anodized metal pedals for under $30 and they were $120 for the same ones in Gilbert. I have been looking for a reasonably priced bike for my wife for a while. I wanted to get her something nice that she could ride on light trails and the road. After shopping around other area shops, and honestly trying to be hustled on a $1k+ bike, we saw Archers ads on Craigslist and went in to give them a try. I have to say it was a great experience, I ended up spending about $400 on an awesome bike for her that will last her a long time and ended up buying one for myself. Super awesome service and the most knowledgeable shop for electric bikes in the Phoenix area. They turned around a tune up on my Chinese electric bike quickly that no other shop would even touch. We ended purchasing a new electric Sduro haibike and they customized it to make the ride more comfortable for my wife's bad back. So excellent shop and family run. Good group of people. I had been looking to buy a road bike for a more eco-friendly way to get to and from work, and found Archer's after doing some research online. I visited on a weekend whim and couldn't believe my luck--I found a used Trek for a stunning price. Turns out the owners have only been in the current shop for two years after starting out of the family's garage; the shop was fully comprehensive and they were so personable and customer-focused, letting me try out and adjust the bike as much as needed before purchasing. I did the "desert proofing" for the tires per their recommendation, which is a must for road bikes in the valley. I don't anticipate any problems with the bike at all, but if I ever need a tune-up or repair, I'm 100% secure in taking it to Archer's. read more
