We bought our son's mountain bike from another Global Bikes location. We purchased the Service For Life (SFL) policy. All labor associated with the $89 Full Global Bikes Tune-up is 100% unlimited as long as you own the bike and can be used at any GB location. They will inspect the bike, adjust derailleurs, brakes, and hubs. They'll lubricate the chain, wipe down the frame, air up tires, and more. The policy has paid off tenfold with how many times the bike has needed service in under a year. From flat tires to loose pedals, we've brought it in for a variety of reasons. My son drives his bike to and from school everyday and all over the neighborhood, so it needs a tune up often. At one point, he was getting flats on an almost weekly basis, so we decided to add the No Flats Guarantee policy, which is $45 per tire. We live between two GB locations; this one and one of the Chandler locations, so we've brought the bike here many times. The team is great and usually gets the work done within a day if not a few minutes. We hope we don't have be back here soon for another repair, but glad to know they can always assist when we do. read more

Couldn't have had a better experience. I've had a knee scooter from when my wife broke her ankle years ago. I've loaned it out on 8 different occasions to people with similar issues. It needed a tune up but because it was "medical device" they couldn't fully service it. The guy showed me where to tighten up the steering and put a hex wrench on it and tighten it up. Said no need to change $50 for a tune up. Even set me up with new soft grips. Great to find a helpful honest bike shop! read more

First mistake was assuming that Andrew and Dustin would be able to handle my Project One Signature Madone Gen 8 for a warranty with TREK. After them having my bike for a week and paying $300+ for assembly. Not only is the staff rude, but they have caused additional damage to my high end bike! Contaminated the brake pads, left hydraulic fluid under the hoods(that is corrosive), over tightened parts that shouldn't be, no lubricants on certain parts and lack attention to detail. I now have paid additional money out of pocket to purchase damaged parts. Either it was a rushed job or they don't know how to handle a high end road bike. They could have told me up front that they do not work on these types of bikes or two called me and told me they do not have time to complete it, need more time! Never again will I go here. I will make it known to others too! read more

Came in last weekend to get a mountain bike for myself, and a beginner one at that. I worked with Eric to find something in my budget, but also something that fit what I needed out of my first bike. Awesome bike shop, I am in town from Los Angeles for the holidays with my partner and she suggested I bring my bike to ride with her dad. I recently had a crash and needed a new helmet so I went to Global Bikes to grab a new one, ended up with a specialized helmet similar to the giro I had been rocking for a few years and was happy I ended up in this store, seems like a lot of other stores in the area only had mountain biking gear *which I totally understand given the terrain in the area* but I wasn't forced to run around town after seeing the wide selection of road bike gear Global Bikes had. It's the simplest of things that make a great company or store. Global Bikes in Gilbert is great. I had a problem with the wheel of my grandsons tricycle and figured I'd ask the experts. I bought my Populo Lift electric bike in March 2018, from Global bike in Gilbert.. The Populo company was bought out by Avant and changed the name to Aventon and discontinued the Populo lift bike model. About 2 weeks ago, the display showed an error code and the bike did not work. I called and spoke with Dustin, and he said bring it in for analysis. I was able to secure the needed controller to fix the problem from Avant customer service. Upon receipt, I brought the new controller to Dustin and he installed the part and did some minor adjustments to the brakes and did not charge me. I attended a free Emergency Road and Mountain Bike Clinic last night, and was very impressed with how prepared they were. I discovered the clinic through Meetup.com This was a 'no sales pressure' clinic, full of advice, real world stories, and hands on demonstrations. I was familiar with most of the material, but managed to pick up several good habits which I look forward to using. I also learned about tire boots. They also covered chain wear, and hosted a hands on chain replacement workshop at the end of the clinic. Brandee thanked me for coming, and invited me to the triathlon clinic. The shop is big enough to accommodate 12 seats with a display table in the back part of their store. The area was well lit, and at a comfortable temperature. I could easily hear both presenters during the whole clinic. Global Bikes is going to be putting on more clinics, with different topics, such as triathlon training with a bike. They also offer discounts at their clinics, and you get to meet up with other east valley riders, and possibly find a new riding crew. Global Bikes are also one of the few local shops that sells the Specialized Armadillo flat resistant tires. If you're tired of the amount of times you've had to change out a tube, then take a look at this product. Global offers several services, including a 45 minute bike fitting, where they check you against your bike, and make adjustments to provide for the most comfortable ride possible. If you're cramping in your upper body, getting shoulder strain, or a sore back, if may be time to get your bike fitted to your body. read more

I had a great experience in this location. I recently moved here and had my bike shipped from the east coast. This location was able to rebuild it for me quickly and at a low cost. From the first time I called until I left with my bike I was given excellent customer service from a knowledgeable staff. When I went to pick up my bike they were extremely helpful in discussing some of the parts and break issues I may have been experiencing. During my time in the store, everyone's was extremely helpful and welcoming to the area. They also discussed local rides and routes, Global is more than just a bike shop but also a community. They host multiple weekly rides for all levels and help connect bikers in the area. I noticed a lot of change from a good selection of brands to basically just specialized bikes. I came in the afternoon of St. Patricks day with the intention in buying a new bike... Nobody said a word to me nobody helped me nobody even acknowledged me and I was there for almost 40 minutes.this isn't the first time. It seems you've moved from being a family bike shop to being an only professional upper echelon bike shop where I guess general population just isn't welcome and our money isn't good.. happy to say dicks sporting goods took very good care of me later that day. If you're looking to buy a new bike or just to have service on you existing one, look no further than Global Bikes! In particular, I have patronized the Gilbert location at Gilbert and Guadalupe Roads, and the shop and its employees are exceptional. Global carries quality brands in all sorts of bikes and accessories, so if you're looking for something bike-related, you should be able to find it there. They have terrific sales as well, so it seems like I'm always saving money on my purchases. I suppose there are a lot of cool bike shops out there with great merchandise but what really sets Global apart from those other shops is their service. Because Global gives lifetime free tune-ups on bike purchases, I started taking my bikes to Dustin years ago. He knows my name when I walk in, he knows about my family and most importantly, he knows all about my bikes. It's not right to leave one of your most treasured things with just anyone, so I trust Dustin to take care of my bikes which in turn takes care of me on my rides. Dustin is not only friendly and efficient, but he understands that I want a speedy turnaround with the service so I can get back on my bike and ride again. I just picked up my bike this afternoon after leaving it for two days, and it looked beautiful! I also have Jared to thank for that. Not only did he clean up my bike but he noticed something that needed replacing that if left unattended, could have been a potential hazard to me on a ride. The guys did a great job on my tune-up, tires, and other miscellaneous things so that I feel very comfortable knowing that my next ride will be a safe and comfortable one. And, once again I saved money! Who knew that tires were on sale this week!!! Yes, there are lots of bike shops out there. I have a very nice one 1.5 miles away from my new home. My experience buying from them was a good one. They were quick to get me into an expensive bike. It was mostly what I was looking for and I really do enjoy it. However, My experience with after care and (free) Maintenance is not as I had hoped. They have become VICTIMS OF THEIR OWN SUCCESS. The repair area is totally maxed out with all the racks full. They can't really hire any more techs, because it's such a small repair area. I have tried to come in on off hours and they are still busy. I saw them the other day and they had 2 set of people looking at ebikes. That is at least 5k they are trying to sell. So of course I understand them not able to help on simple 15-30 dollar repair in any timely fashion. They do get it done, eventually. BOTTOM LINE Great customer service when you are buying a bike. Very knowledgeable and helpful. But if you have any problems.............. you will have many long bike-less days while they fix it. I was 2 weeks without my ride. They are not set up to be a repair shop. They barely can handle the free maintenance on new bikes. If you in a hurry for a repair. they are not it. I wish it were different They are a nice group of guys. read more
