I think it's very strange that while one business kicks you to the curb when you're down, another one will treat you with basic human kindness. One of my tires on my pneumatic walker had a flat tire yesterday. Four months ago, I purchased a puncture free inner tube from this business. So I brought my Walker in at 10:00 this morning. It's a heavy walker and weighs 40 pounds. I couldn't get the wheel off so had to fight to get it in the car. I arrived at this businesses storefront, then struggled to get it out of the car yet again. This time, the mgr./owner was standing outside just watching me struggle to get this out of my car. I walked in the store and I explained to the same man that this punctureless inner tube wasn't so punctureless as they told me. I pleaded with this man if he could please repair the tire or replace the inner tube. His reply to me was, "oh, we'll I can't do it for you today! If you want, you can make an appointment tomorrow, but there's people here that have brought their bikes in 30 days ago; it's first come, first served." He never even offered to help me out the walker back in my car for me, this man at this store is a total idiot who has no idea how to run a business. Even after I told him that I needed my Walker to walk, thst I wasn't going around on a bike having a great time, he still refused to help me!!! No kindness whatsoever! I drove approx 5 miles down power road to another bike store. They were very kind and fixed the tire for me in 5 minutes! 5 minutes! That's all it would have taken this man to help someone. The fact that they've had bikes in for repair for 39 days, tells a person to stay away from this rip off artists!!! read more

Went in to have my Specialized bike tuned up. I happen to speak with 3 workers there and was able to have a better understanding of what my bike would need have done. Repair options I never knew were offered, like a sonic wash of metal parts.... I know what it is but didn't know Bike Masters performed this type of cleaning.....and just the free flow of information/conversation with guys who's interest is mountain biking as I am. I've made it know to them, I will definitely be bringing my bike to them, exclusively from now on, even though I live closer to a different Bike Masters location in QC. read more

Went to store today at approx 1030 am to get my wheels and tires changed over to tubeless. The guy said he could do it and would have it ready for me today. Contacted shop at approx 230 and they said they hadn't got to it and denied telling me that it would be ready today. Got to store and mechanic was stocking shelves and another mechanic told me that someone bought a bike and that took priority. PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. WILL NEVER GO BACK. Not only would I never take my bike back for service, but I certainly wouldn't consider buying a bike from them! I recently took my mountain bike out of storage and thought it would be a good idea to get it checked over to make sure everything was working properly before taking it out for a ride. I took it to Bike Master as it was close to where I regularly ran other errands and they seemed to get good reviews. I wheeled my bike in and went up to the register counter where a couple of guys were sitting and told them that it had been in storage and wanted it looked over before riding. One of the guys took it and set in in the bike rack to look over. He took a quick look and walked back over the counter (saying nothing). On his way back to the he picked up a couple of packages that he scanned into the register. At this point I guessed he had wanted me to follow him so I walked over. He asked me my contact info and said they would call when it was done. I asked him what the parts were that he had scanned and approximately what the cost would be. Brake pads and $156. I asked him what that included, he said parts I might need and if I didn't it would be less, no other explanation. I came back a couple of days later, same guy greeted me as I walked in, told him I was there to pick up my bike. He walked back to the register with me, asked my name and said he would go get the bike. Another person came over to the register to ring me out, $156. Paid with a card, signed my receipt and he pointed to where my bike was. I asked if he could give me an itemized receipt for what was done and he handed me a receipt that said Annual/Deluxe tune up and the charges for the brake pads and tubes. I went to get the bike, thinking that they guy who brought it out would be there to give me more details on what was done to the bike overall as I was curious as to what they found and if there was anything I need to keep an eye on for future repairs. Nope, he was not around nor was the guy behind the counter (there were not busy, I was the only one in the store at that point). I left with the bike and looked up what the Annual/Deluxe Tune up included which was all kinds of great stuff but I'm doubting that much was done, the bike wasn't even wiped down (included in service), it only had a little bit of dust on it from sitting in storage. I bought a new Giant ATX in late May 2021. My wife and I went for a ride, on second mile, the right pedal fell off and had to walk home. The crank was apparently cross threaded when assembled and was missing 70% of threads. I was promised a new crank under warranty and said they ordered and would have it by June 20. Fast forward to end of June, never got a call or reach out, went back and was told the crank would be several months. They really could not say when. I then asked for a refund on the POS they had sold me and as told they don't do refunds and I could wait. for the crank. I was livid, that I was sold a bike with hidden damaged that they had caused. At that time another mechanic came in and said he could exchange my crank for one on a bike still in the box. He proceeded to put the crank from the boxed bike onto my bike. Great, now my bike is fixed, but what about the bike they now don't have a proper crank to install? I don't know what they did, if anything, to get a undamaged crank for the other new bike. Hmmm... Prior to talking with them on the second visit, I waited while they took care of an older lady. She was given, and charged for, a tube she had not requested and was upset. The manager ended up only charging her for the standard tube, and told her he didn't give a f_ _ _ right to her and told her to never come back. I'm very disappointed with the entire experience. read more

WORST BIKE SHOP EVER!!!!! I had taken my daughters bike in for a tune up mainly for the front and rear duerailers. The employee obviously didn't want to be there on a Sunday morning, Im grateful if the job I have so I have no sympathy. He said it would be ready monday or Tuesday, I said ok I can take it somewhere else. He said "that's what we've been instructed to tell everyone so they don't have high expectations, it should be ready this afternoon". I was like, "ok cool". I got the call several hours later saying it's done. So we went there and now there is another employee present with same Attitude. I said I was picking up my daughters bike, told them my name, and they went to look for the bike. The back isn't very big so I was wondering why it almost took 10 mins to retrieve the bike. He finally came up and said he mistaken it with another bike...hmm. Ok, no biggie. He said $59.00 is due. I said let me take it for a spin before I pay, he was taken aback and said confusingly, "ok". So I took her bike out for a spin ran theu the gears, I was like,"ok sweet nice and smooth". Turn around and got to stop at the front door and squeezed the brakes, front stopped as usual but the rear lever went all the way to the handlebar and nothing. I went inside and told them gears are great but the rear brake didn't even engage the caliper. He was like ok, 59 dollars how do you want to pay. I then said again the brakes aren't working. He said ok well that's because when we racked it air bubbles got in the line. I told him I rack the bike at home and it never does this. He said that means u need to bleed and adjust the brakes. I said again it was working when I brought the bike in. Now the other lazy guy with dark brown hair who was eating and on the computer chimes in, you can pay for a brake bleed and mineral oil. Then they told me "You're just looking to get something for free" . I asked "don't you guys go thru the bikes or test ride them when they're done?" They never mentioned the brakes needed adjusting or bleeding until I brought it up. The both were full of excuses and were insulting, basically telling me to leave. So I left, I was putting the bike away and didn't like how it all went down, so I went back in and said, " I didn't like how you two accused me of wanting something for free", and the worker said sorry u feel that way. I then offered to pay for half because I need my daughters brakes working. One employee with blonde hair said, "you know what your right, we should of told you about the brakes not working and should of caught it in the tune up, we'll bleed the brakes for free." I again offered to pay for half and he declined. So I left the bike to be finished. If I would of left and not went back to stand up for myself, Bike Masters would of let me leave with an unsafe bike for my child. I'll never return to that bike shop again, I'll tell everyone I know to stay far away from that dishonest shop. I feel bad for the owner, good help is hard to find. read more

Just got back my bike from this shop. The guy that I spoke with twice today. Put me off twice saying it hadn't been ridden and checked out yet he would call me right back. Never got a call. Went in to pick it up and amazingly it was ready. They put brand new serf as grips on the bike and they are totally dirty because he never cleaned his hands before he rode the bike. I was so fed up with this shop I just took the bike home will clean it myself. I should have gone to Adventure Bike they are farther away but always professional. Maybe my I have standards that are too high. All customers or potential customers should be respected. I don't expect people to beg for my business, but be polite. Arrived at this place at 6:30pm on a Saturday all of the lights were on and the doors wide open. A guy loading a truck walked up and pointed out that they were closed. I said ok and was about to ask if they did tire repairs so that I would know if I should try again during hours, but before I could form a sentence hit nastily spit out can't you see the "open" sign isn't lit, next time look for that. Maybe he'd had a long day, maybe I'd had a long day.... Just came off rude and I choose not to do business with people like that. read more

There are not many places to rent a bike from on a Sunday afternoon, and I was concerned I'd have to go back to Cactus bikes where I had a horrible experience previously. I was so fortunate to have found Bike Direct. Here are a few things Jason helped me out with while I was there: - I selected the wrong location when making the reservation online. Jason figured out how to make it work so I wouldn't have to drive out of my way to their other location. - Flexible with drop off, in fact encouraging me to keep the bike until the next day to take full advantage of the rental period. - Helped me with trail advice and directions to a great trail head, just north of the store. - Trent? changed a flat for no charge. - I left my pedals on the bike, and Jason called and offered to mail them to me - I was able to swing back to the store and get them before my flight. Went there today to look at a certain bike I saw they had in store on their website. Cannondale Trail 6 I went there and was greeted by the tech Dustin I believe was his name. He listened to my story on what I wanted and what kind of bike and activities I wanted to do. He showed me two on the floor, two outside, and then put me on a test ride while he got the bike I wanted to see down from the 3 high bike rack on top! He never seemed put out and seemed more than willing to show me all the bikes! After test riding a few bikes, we talked about the pros and cons of a few them. I decided on the one I wanted and they went straight away on tuning it up and getting road ready right then no waiting! These two bikes tech working the store were spot on. They weren't pushy or trying to direct me to any bike other than the ones I wanted to see. The prices are great for "real" bikes with real customer service! There should be no reason to buy a bike anywhere without at the very least going to this store and talking with the staff. I leave a bad yelp when I have to but I enjoy leaving a good yelp when deserved! read more

I restored a 1997 TREK Ladies Mountain Bike, but needed some final help with adjusting the derailers, etc. I figured I'd let the pro's handle that part of the work and these guys did a FANTASTIC job. The work was well done, and my project bike was given back to me in as clean a condition as it was when I brought it in. That means alot. OH, and their pricing is very respectable. Will be taking two other restoration bikes to them soon. On another note, I was also just browsing at new bikes while in their shop and noticed that their prices on complete bikes seemed to be lower than other places I had been in. I'll certainly consider them in the event that I start shopping for a new bike. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN and support a local small business and give these guys a shot.
