I love how the modern design feels warm and welcoming. I also appreciate there is some parking nearby. For that I feel like is can come for an hour or two for some me time. Just like the Farnam location the coffee is the best. I ordered a macchiato and Guinness chocolate cake. The cake was rich and delicious. I live downtown but don't get further south than Jackson most days. Lucky for me a client wanted to meet at Archetype. I had been meaning to get down to the shop since it opened. Having heard nothing but good things about the other location. The decor was awesome and the staff was great. I had a chai tea and a blueberry muffin. I ordered last out of our group so I had to settle on the muffin as it was late in the day and they ate the other pastries! We love our little local coffee shop that we can walk to in the mornings! The staff is super friendly and the coffee is amazing! They even have great breakfast options from quiches and pastries to some goodies from Nice Rollz (breakfast egg rolls and breakfast sandwiches). I heard from a friend that there was a new Archetype place on 13th Street, so we made it a point to come visit; we didnt leave disappointed. I order the Sweet Potato Hash, Egg in a Basket, and a cold crew. The sweet potato hash was a sweet and spicy hit with me, but more so on the spicy side. My wife ordered the Egg in a Basket, which she loved enough to give Archetype 5 stars - she's a huge foodie, so it's a big deal. We both enjoyed the cold brew, which was pretty standard. 10/10! Love this spot. I used to be an avid goer of the blackstone archetype but I since moved from blackstone to downtown and I love that there is now a spot that's even closer the downtown area. There's a lot of space inside, everything's very clean and cozy. The baristas I had this morning were super friendly and seem like they enjoy their job, my favorite kind of people. My boyfriend and I got 2 almond milk vanilla lattes, a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin and a cheesy (parm maybe?) scone. All of them, so great. Pumpkin muffin was my fav! Lovely place. I come here quite often and am never disappointed. They have really strong coffee and the staff is really friendly:) one of them even knows my order. My only complaint is that their tables are almost always full which sucks when you want to do your homework but that's not their fault. If I could give this a negative rating I would. My husband and I were passing through and noticed this cool coffee shop. We couldn't wait to try it out in the morning as we headed out of town. At first glance we both thought, cool building, smart branding, clean design. It was cool until it wasn't cool anymore. When we got our coffees my husband asked for a straw. At this point he was told they didn't have any because the lids are for sipping. He repeated himself which felt very insulting as if we were toddlers. Good for you for wanting to save the environment one straw at a time, but that doesn't mean you should make people feel stupid for asking for the straw option. We left extremely disappointed in what we were expecting to be a cool coffee experience. To top it off my latte was Luke warm. My family and I stopped through Omaha for the night. We were looking for a breakfast place that would be good for everyone (teen, toddler, and adult). Archetype Coffee has a great atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had the egg sandwich with hash brown and Korean sweet muffin. Our toddler devoured her food and our teen (who is pretty picky) ate most of his food too. The drinks were very tasty too. We had macchiato, matcha, and chai drinks. They had more flavor compared to other places I have gotten these types of drinks from. What an amazing little gem in the heart of a very historic area of Omaha. The crasftmanship that went into the design is a feet of it's own. Modern, open, urban with a homey bohemian feel. I am always greeted with a smile and a meaningful conversation everytime I walk through the door. I love a place that makes me feel part of the team. I could go on and on about how attentive and friendly the staff is. Supporting local is one of my favorite things to do and having this oasis in the middle of the city is truly spectacular. I am a HUGE fan of Archetype coffee in Blackstone so I was thrilled to know they have opened a second location in Little Bohemia close to Old Market and downtown. This location is beyond beautiful, handcrafted clean lines, open concept coffee shop that bakes in house all their own goodies! They have the best coffee in town and trust I have been to all. Expect tons of homemade pastries items including the quiche, scones, hand pies, etc... the quiche is my favorite! Also did I mention they have BEER & WINE. You can literally post up here all day and work, eat and late afternoon sip some vino! The staff is great and apparently they do Thursday/Friday snacks and drinks and Sunday brunch. I ordered something expensive from their website about a month ago, and according to the USPS, they created a label for it, but never sent it out. Over the last few weeks, I attempted to contact them six times (three times through e-mail, and three times using the "contact us" form on their website) and never got a response. There is no working phone number for me to try to contact them that way. They charged my credit card for it when I ordered it, but will not reply to any of my messages about whether or not I will ever receive it or get a refund. read more

Happy St. Patrick's Day! A wonderful experience to be had here at Archetype Coffee. This is a new place on 13th Street. And to start off, the staff behind the counter is excellent. They know coffee, period. It is their craft and passion and it shows. The Ethiopian blend we got was great. Slight tones of strawberries and very rich. And two cups of this will wire you for an hour or two. Actually so good, some beans went home with us. But the real surprise was the food! My wife had a sweet potato hash that was tremendous. She said this is now the Sunday place for breakfast. Sweet potatoes, beans, veggies and a chimichuri that was the topper. Mine a take on biscuits and gravy but made with corned beef. I really hope they keep this in the lineup. The gravy with this is rich creamy and very tasty. The biscuits are some of the best in Omaha to be sure. Very spacious and very little wait time. You have to bus your own table, but no sweat. With fare and coffee like this, it makes you move. And be sure to check out the artwork in the restroom area......cool!
