Pretty average to me. Will admit the overall concept escaped me. It's most certainly an homage to Ford. But why a restaurant to do so? Beats me...I'm sure somewhere they give the reasoning. I don't care enough to find it. Our server was spectacular! Absolutely no complaints there. Our food came out quickly and was hot and good. But that was it. Nothing was exceptionally delicious or set itself apart from anything else. The food tasted like what you would get at any other restaurant. I was excited to see the Monte Cristo on the menu and thought I'd get one to go since its a rarity now that Bennigans is gone. But aftet tasting my mother in laws, I decided there was no need. Got two cocktails and they were good but not very strong and again nothing to go crazy about. But hey, this could be just me because it certainly was packed. The place is decked out from the exterior to interior with hundreds of cool Ford themed pictures, engines, Henry Ford Quotes, cars, etc. The staff are all dressed as car shop mechanics. The vibe is very fun and relaxed. Large bar at the center with a Model-T mounted on top. TV screens playing sports all over the place. Not a bad seat in the house. We were a little disappointed with the burger, the bun was pretty dry and overall burger portion size didn't match the price (see pic, the burger was about an inch smaller than the bun all around ). Came here for dinner. Had a good experience last year but not great this year. In town for a trade show at the Vibe Credit Union Collection down the street. There are 11 new f us so they were able to accommodate us. We had 6:30 reservations but they took us early. What ch was good cuz we were hungry. Large place. Fun decorations, a car an old model T is suspended above the bar. The horn goes off when bartenders get a tip. Bathroom is cool. Go see it. They have merch too. But it's too pricey for me. Alexis helped us. We got the menus and ordered a few apps. Felt like Alexis was in deep sales mode. She also was selling the drinks pretty hard. I wanted a cider but it ended up they were out of them all. Disappointing. On the menu they have the calories listed. So I became super conscious of trying to be reasonable with my choices. I got a 1/3 # burger-Americana and a side salad. Burger was super small. I/3 # seems like it would be a bit larger. It was slightly bigger than a slider. Salad had no tomatoes. Had red onion, cucumbers that were going bad, chi chi beans, a tiny bit of cheese. It was all just OK. We did try the apps pickles and onion rings. Both are breaded not battered. And they were just OK too. Overall, the whole experience was just OK. Alexis was attentive. But felt like she was very salesy in her approach to waiting on us. I don't know. Every time I dine here, the experience is excellent. The service is consistently sound and pleasant. I like the energy and the decor, it's fun! The food is very good. My favorite is the berries and Gorgonzola shrimp salad. It had strawberries, blueberries, cranberries, glazed walnuts, Gorgonzola and plump and flavorful shrimp. It's pretty much a perfect salad! Their burgers are tasty and juicy! I always get the onion rings because they are so good. The fish and chips are really delicious. The ahi tuna bowl is so fresh and near delectable. Ford's garage was a good experience. Service was friendly and really quick. There was a World Cup game when we went and enjoyed watching in a crowd. The food was hot and seemed home made, even the onion rings! I will say that the wait was pretty long, but the decor and vibes are really fun, getting to see some historic ford parts and we really enjoyed the retro feel. Came to Ford's Garage recently (and previously multiple times) with some friends. The restaurant never fails to deliver consistent quality in their food, especially their yummy burgers. My wife and I had the Estate burger for the first time and it was absolutely delicious - I mean every bite was a wonder to my mouth. Will continue to come back here, as the staff is great, the inside is super cool and the food always delivers. Located in Novi near Twelve Oaks mall. Ample parking which lots of restaurants and activities near by. My family and I came on a Saturday afternoon. There was a little bit of a wait, but we didn't mind. Reservations are an option if you're tight on time. We were seated at a booth which gave us views of the restaurant. The Ford theme is present through from tire sinks and an actual car floating above the bar. For birthdays, celebrations, and kids of all ages, you can honk the horn, which is super cool. We started off with onion rings which was service on a tool looking item. Definitely don't know the terminology but I know it's car related. Love the attention to detail. My husband and I ordered burgers, which came branded with Ford Garage. Great presentation. Our service was great. He was attentive and kind. We enjoyed a few cocktails too. Making a reservation is definitely recommended to avoid waiting, as we walked in and had to give our names and wait to be called. The decor is a car enthusiast's dream, from vintage memorabilia and sleek automotive art to car parts cleverly integrated into utensils, napkin rings, and even the restrooms, where the sinks are tires and the door handles are gas pumps. Dozens of little details, like radiator hose clamps holding napkins, make the theme fun without being tacky. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite match the atmosphere. Our waitress wasn't very attentive, a few orders were mixed up, and some items were forgotten, so we had to remind her. To be fair, it was a busy night and everyone can have an off day, and the situation did slowly get sorted out. The food itself was fresh, tasty, and served in generous portions, and the shared parking made the visit convenient. As someone who loves themed restaurants, I think this location feels extra special, especially being so close to Detroit. Saturday afternoon. 30 mins wait but the three of us found spots at the bar. Super easy lunch and delicious plates. Onion rings to start, I recommend the chipotle ranch for dipping. I ordered blackened salmon entree. It is only $1 more and comes with 2 sides. Jalapeño creamed corn and green beans. Beans were hot! Mac n cheese as a side with the pulled pork sandwich was choice. I have never seen a Ford Garage as empty when I got there at 11:30 am for their brunch, which is why they are discontinuing it. You can order from the regular menu also. I was with a friend which is good because it gave us someone to talk to while we had a long wait for our food. I ordered my regular Monte Cristo and she got the breakfast burrito. Neither one of us was impressed. I think my sandwich was left too long in a frier that had old oil in it. Not what I was use to getting from this place. I am a car nut like EBS was so I enjoy going to a place that think mounted engines and whole vehicles are art. I even know that the napkin rings are engine hose clamps and the napkins are shop rags. Fords Garage is a place I never really thought to try. To be honest, it definitely feels like more of a guy's spot. You're not likely to see a group of girls dining here. The decor is fully decked out in Ford gear, which adds a fun and unique vibe to the place. The menu is mostly burgers, so I ordered the Cali Burger, and it was delicious. I've had it twice now and both times the bun was buttery, the meat was super tender, and it really just melted in my mouth. The fries were perfectly crispy and not overly salty. I came on a Saturday night and surprisingly didn't have to wait for a table. The only downside was the number of birthday celebrations as they honk a really loud horn each time, which got a little annoying after a while. Call me a prude if you want! Owen our server was phenomenal!!! He rushed our food as he knew we had to be at the airport for our flight and brought our bill out with the food so we didnt have to wait! The food was delicous (at least mine was) my mom says he monte cristo was a little overcooked but the fries were great. The smoked old fashion was pretty good. Even though I sat at the bar, the service was phenomenal. They all seemed very attentive and knowledgeable. I can't remember what dish I ate because I'm writing this a bit late. I just remember that it was so good that the next day my husband and I were still in town. We ended up ordering it to go and brought it back to our hotel room. That being said the first time I was there, somebody walked past me with a large amount of lavender oil as their perfume, and I am allergic to lavender. I started having a massive asthma attack, which I didn't have my inhaler. The manager just kind of looked at me and brushed me off I couldn't talk because I was choking like crazy and my husband had no idea what was going on and he just stared as well. It was a terrible experience. I ended up texting that I'm having an asthma attack on my phone and showed it to my husband and said I can't breathe. They asked me if I needed an emergency vehicle to come out, but I tried to calm myself and get the asthma attack under control. Nachos, but no salsa at all? Weird. And the cheese tasted like I would imagine cheese whiz would taste (though I've never had it and don't want to) - gross. The relative I went with was surprised that most people dining there were over 40 (what with the big bar and all the flat screen tvs), and I just said that younger people couldn't afford to eat out at a place like that (and for the record, most people were over 50). A half pound of ANGUS BEEF cooked to a perfect medium rare, gouda cheese, BACON, and some other incidentals on a Brioche Bun. I was smacking my lips during the entire experience. My taste buds were dancing. The Tots were TASTY and CRUNCHY, not greasy. I sat at the bar and Laney was very polite and attentive.
