Called the day before for an 8AM appointment since I was preparing for a long road trip. I'd heard good things about Firestone's lifetime alignment, and they were able to get me in no problem. They also confirmed they could work on my Tesla Model Y, which I know not every location does. Robert took care of me when I arrived, and he was great from the start. He was super chill, honest, and easy to talk to. Since I was a new customer, he explained some Tesla-specific quirks and tire wear info. As someone who's been into cars for years, and worked on all of mine personally before I got an EV, I could tell right away he knew what he was talking about and wasn't trying to upsell me. The whole process was fast and smooth. Got me checked in quickly, let me know I could grab breakfast nearby if I wanted, and kept everything transparent throughout. What really stood out was overhearing how he treated other customers while I waited. He was honest about what services were actually needed, never pushy, and very understanding when people mentioned budget concerns. Instead of pressuring anyone, he explained what could wait and what he genuinely recommended taking care of. I was judging, as someone that knows cars, and he passed. Overall, I left really impressed with both the service and the customer care here. Oh and the lifetime alignment? Will pay for itself and then some after the next alignment. For the just a little more than what as America's Tire was going to charge for a one time alignment. Looking forward to coming back. I called and was told to bring my vehicle in, and they started working on it right away. No upselling, just honest and knowledgeable service. They correctly diagnosed and recharged the Freon in my 2016 Honda Civic using the proper type for Honda vehicles. I really appreciate that they treated me with respect and didn't try to take advantage of the situation. My AC is blowing cold again and I left very satisfied. Paid for life time alignment. Been going to them for many years. They messed up the alignment had to go to another place to get it aligned because they messed up the alignment really bad. Asked to be refunded and they couldn't hep me. Terrible service and customer service couldn't even resolve this. Don't recommend them and they lost my business for all members of my family. It was easy to get in and get out within an hour for an appointment for an alignment. A small area with a tv if you want to hang out like i did. Firestone is one of the few places with a Lifetime Alignment Certificate for as long as you own the vehicle. It's definitely increased in price but worth it if you plan on keeping your vehicle. read more

When I looked up the Firestone locations to get an inspection for both Lyft and Uber the website stated that it was $10 per inspection. When I arrived the service technician informed me that the price is $20 per vehicle. I showed the price I got online to the technician, the technician then stated that I needed to call them for the price and not go based on the online price. This situation is why this Firestone always gets low ratings. The site is never accurate and the staff is slow with any process. I will look elsewhere and recommend that everyone do the same or risk getting into a situation like mine or worse. It's unfortunate that this location took a major nosedive like this with service as well as courtesy. I guess everyone needs to forget what once was and come to the realization that good service especially at Firestone is very hard to find. read more

I have been using this place for scheduled maintenance for many years. However, about two years ago, I noticed a new management team had taken over. During a tire inspection, they claimed that one of my tires had a puncture in the sidewall that could not be repaired, and I ended up having to replace both tires. When I asked if they had Michelin tires available, they said they did not. I then took my car to Costco. The technician there could not find any leak in the tires, so I asked him to check again. After a second inspection, he still could not identify a leak. Consequently, Costco refunded my payment since they had not completed any repairs. Overall, this experience made me question the integrity of the new management team at Firetones. I have since informed my friends and family to avoid this place. read more

my fiancé brought her vehicle here two weeks ago, which she's been going to this location for years. She has absolutely no automotive knowledge so she always relies on staff to be honest and fair priced. The staff had a list of things that to be repaired or replaced, and indeed they did. However, the cost of the repairs ended up being more than double what it would cost at any other shop. They charged eight hours worth of labor for a job that only takes one hour to complete. They doubled the price of the cost of parts. I would never do business with this company again as they are dishonest and indeed robbing people. read more

I had really horrible experience I have no knowledge of cars and this location is near my house I went in today at around7:30 in the morning because I got a flat. I told the guy in the front desk I just wanted to get my tired check I told him which one it was. He told me they couldnt save the tire that I needed a new one and they told me the price. I told them that It was too expensive for me if they could just put my spare tire. He said okay and after I didn't buy the tire he was so rude to me. I even tipped him $5 for helping me and completely ignored me. So I walked out and the guy outside. Told me that my battery was low. I've never had issues with my car I take it in to Honda for all my maintenance. When I get in my car my car wouldn't start. He tried to start it and it wouldn't start i have a push to start and my car was like glitching. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my car. I just had a flat tire. I do not know what they do to my car so I call my dad. Once they see me on the phone my car turned on. I was very upset I started crying cause I thought they would help and just made it worse. Now I have a flat tire and battery problems I've ever had before. They guy ended up telling me my car has a bad cell. Never heard of that before. Don't come here they will mess up ur car if you don't buy a tire from them. read more

I had to get my upper control arms replaced. I made an appointment thru the Firestone app on my phone just the night before actually coming in and they were able to set up my appointment perfectly! Jeff checked me in always such an amazingly nice guy! I didn't have to wait too long before Van pulled in my truck and started working on it! These guys are the best! Always takes care of me so fast and friendly! That's why I always drive 3 hours to come to this specific location ONLY! I had the best experience here at Firestone with Ryan. He heard my complaints and eased my worries, about what I was experiencing with my car. I first called, and spoke with him over the phone, he is the nicest gentleman with the most professional manner. Brought my car in on a busy Friday afternoon, and as soon as I walked in, he took great care of me. I did look online, before coming to this location, and was not surprised to see all the 5-star reviews for Ryan. The customers know exactly what they're talking about. He is a gem. I left the car for the day and he called me the next morning with an update, and what to expect for the repairs. He didn't hide any info, and kept it super real with me. He explained what the main problem was, and what could potentially be. IHis honesty is so appreciated because when it comes to our cars, that are very expensive and it's better to be upfront, then do shady business practices. He is an all-star!! So glad, I came here to get my car checked out. I drove off, and was super happy with the experience. And though, I did have to come back because, well my car is 27 years old, it's not as sturdy as it used to be. I want to say this for all experienced older people and woman who lots of mechanics and places are famous for taking advantage and over charge . This was really disappointing to write as I used to purposely go to this location because they were so kind, now as a woman, my recommendation is to avoid this place at all costs. They upsell, multiple people came in with the same issues and I personally waited 7 hours for them to finish a job that was expected to be 4-5. My car also had more issues after visiting and I had to go back again the next day to fix, i also was told my issue had to be fixed asap and I shouldn't drive on the road, which is was a selling tactic. I had to go somewhere to get a second opinion and was quoted a $300 cheaper price difference and that the issue was fine to drive with, until I want to fix. They really just want to sell you a credit card to make them look better for the corporation. The manager is obviously trying to pick up the pieces of this failing branch, I don't recommend any Firestone but especially this location now. Super disappointed and upset about my incredibly slow experience. Lastly the manger asked to leave a help review to "help" grow ratings, my advice is don't give super poor experiences and expect the business to grow. Will start by saying this was the default place my family would take our cars to for any maintenance, repair, or tires. We have spent thousands over the years at this location. Last week I needed some work on my car as I was having an issue with misfires. They estimated about $1000 for the parts and repair (it seemed like they couldn't identify the specific problem but opted to replace all the spark plugs and coils while cleaning everything out; I figure the car is 09 so might be a good idea). They mentioned I had low oil and offered to charge for an oil change, I have 2k miles since last change so I just said I will top it off later. Once I get some oil and pop the hood I see that my plastic engine cover has a fist sized hole in it and the plastic piece is separated from the cover. It appears to me that the cover was not put on fully before the hood was closed and this created the crack/hole. I check the cost for replacements (generic off brand engine covers are about $40 bucks for my model) I call the next working day and let them know of the damage. Spoke with Carlos and offered to bring the car in so he could see the damage and possibly order me the replacement part. He essentially told me this stuff happens, and that they weren't responsible for the damage. I reminded him that I did not bring the vehicle to him like this and that it was caused by your team. He tried telling me an analogy like if they replaced my battery and broke the housing; its an old car so they wouldn't replace it... so effectively if they agree to a routine service and you happen to have an old car and they break something it will be YOUR fault. So he refused to even do the bare minimum which is just ask me what I wanted to do about it. In all honesty if he was upfront and willing to meet me halfway I might have just had them order the aftermarket part in and put it on for me and I would pay (again accidents happen). So in order to save $40, Carlos single handedly became the reason my family will take our cars elsewhere. A guarantee of several thousand dollars in repairs and maintenance over the next few years out the window for being cheap and dishonest. P.S. oil was not low, it now seems like they were requesting additional unneeded work to pad the bill. Shame this used to be a great business. read more

I received an offer of a full synthetic oil change for $30 off plus a free fuel additive. I follow the link to their site and downloaded their app. I filled out my information and my vehicle information. I selected the location and clicked on the offered time of 11:00AM the following day. The next day I arrived at 11AM and went inside their store where I saw two employee talking about a car. He asked if I was dropping off my vehicle and I said I had an appointment at 11AM. He said it would be about 11/2 hours and he would get to it as soon as he could. I told him no thanks I would take my car somewhere else and left. The employee was polite and I assume truthful. My issue is Firestone does not seem to understand that the purpose of taking an appointment is to honor the appointment. Otherwise why offer appointments? They have several bays available but only one employee was working on a vehicle so I could anticipate a long wait. No thanks Firestone, I'll take my business somewhere else. read more

Home of the 7-hour oil change. We made and appointment for early Saturday morning (9:30 am) and brought the car in a little early. Was told it could be ready by 2:00 in the afternoon. That seemed a little long but we needed the oil change so we left it. It was not done by 2:00 pm and not even done by 4:00 pm!! Seven hours?? That's really, really bad time management and poor customer service. Missing a commitment by a couple of hours is poor planning. In a previous visit for an oil change, the technician added fresh oil without draining the old oil. The oil level was up to the filler cap. Lots of blue smoke and no acceleration. They fixed it the next day and there was no apparent long-term damage to the car. No attention to detail. The staff apologized for both of these incidents. This shop is staffed by inept workers who seem too busy to pay attention to mechanical details and to customer service. Despite being a long-time customer with 2 cars to be serviced, these experiences have left a very bad impression on us and I will not be going back there. read more

Went to my local Firestone complete auto care center(Fountain Valley), been there many times over past 20 years, to get a tire repaired. They said the damage was too close to sidewall to repair, so I went to their website and chose the cheap replacement recommended from the online site($59.00). Something cheap untill I needed to replace all four! 4 hours later got a call from Firestone stating that tire was not speed rated for my car, but they had one instock for $180.00?? I told him the cheap tire was from their website recommendation, but he said the website was wrong and he couldn't put that tire on because it wouldn't be safe.?? That sounded more like a bait and switch, so I wont be back to a Firestone center if thats how they treat a long time customer! read more

The store Manager nor the district manager would give me a return receipt for the parts I returned after they damaged my MBZ SUV while attempting to repair it. I paid them $2591.33 and the SUV was still not fixed. I had to take it to MBZ of Irvine who fixed it right the first time. Don't be fooled by their smiling faces or nice door greetings. Oh, I almost forgot, they never returned the money even after I gave the of Firestone the parts back. Even though the store manager and district manager said they would. I have been going to this Firestone for a couple of years and I have ALWAYS been met with the utmost unprofessionalism and hostility from Jeff, the main front desk person there. When servicing my mom and I, he would sigh and give both of us a hard time. 2 years ago, we purchased a lifetime warranty alignment service. The person inputting the order had misspelled my mom's name so we were not able to locate the alignment service during subsequent visits. Because of this mishap, Jeff would berate us and claim that we were not truthful. When we pulled up the receipt of the purchase, he blamed my mom for misspelling her OWN name, when we knew it was the worker who fills out the receipt. We requested my mom's name to be correctly changed and Jeff complained to us, stating that he would have to put in a ticket order to fix it. Well then do it??? My mom, one of your loyal customer, has her name spelled incorrectly because of a mistake YOU made. But you are choosing to be lazy, complacent, and blaming the customer for this mishap. Not to mention, this is extremely racist because we are Vietnamese. I don't see Jeff being hostile to white customers who were in line to be serviced before us. But once it gets to our turn, he is consistently unprofessional. Instead of blaming us for your mistake next time, just apologize and fix the name. I am sick of seeing Jeff at the front desk every time I go in to get my car tuned up. I will be reporting his nasty behavior to corporate. This is abhorrent and absolutely disgusting behavior. Firestone was of no help to refund my money, but they did offer to replace them. After everything I went through, I refuse to let them touch my vehicle ever again. When I asked for the price, I got 3 different verbal estimates and was unclear about the options presented. My father and brother always come to Firestone so I figured I'd give them a try. My call was answered quickly and Jeff was clear about what time for me to bring it in the next day. The price for the brake inspection was very reasonable and upfront. After the inspection Jeff explained what I needed in a very comprehensive manner. The work was completed same day. I will be bringing my car back for service here. I've been to this Firestone a couple times before, but this will be my last time ever using Firestone at any location. I had an 8am appointment for an alignment with my lifetime alignment plan, worst idea ever, at the end of my check in I simply and politely asked the manager to have his tech please make sure my steering wheel is straight before calling me to tell me it's done. I even told him I wasn't sure I've had the issue here, but have at many other Firestones. At this point the manager stands up and not necessarily in a mean way but pretty aggressively asks if it's lifted. Sorry for my steering to be aligned, that doesn't matter, it'll make a difference to how close to spec you can get it, not whether your tech does the job correctly and ensures my steering wheel is straight. He went into a long excuse still in his aggressive tone about how they may need to get extra tools and to bare with them. No, you don't really need extra tools if I can instantly bring it back and miraculously your tech can get it straight after a couple more tries. How are other tire and alignment shops able to do this but most every Firestone cannot get it right the first or sometimes second try? I simply asked to have it done right the first time. I've had nothing but issues with Firestone and employee attitudes, to the point that I've had to have the district manager involved because I had to go elsewhere and pay to get the job done right and I was warned that they left some adjustments loose. The fact that you have to be asked to do something the right way is absurd. Stay clear of Firestone for anything requiring an attention to detail! read more

Quoted me $250 over the phone, when I got there they found out I had a Tesla and threw in an "advance driver assist fee" which made the total come out to $420. I planned to get 3 of my teslas on the alignment plan so that definitely would've added up. I work at Tesla so I reached out to some service techs and they all said that fee is BS and that performing an alignment on a Tesla is done the exact same way as a normal gas car. Told the manager this and whatever bs driver assist service they were gonna do I didn't need or want and that all they'd have to do is a normal alignment. They said no and the manager even told me "If you end up getting a Firestone lifetime alignment plan but you weren't charged the advance driver assist fee we will not service you". Despite the official Firestone website saying "We'll align your car at any Firestone Complete Auto Care location in the country." When talking about the lifetime alignment plan. Ended up going to a different Firestone down the street. Charged me the normal price and did my alignment perfectly. Do not take your Tesla / EV here unless you want to get ripped off. read more

One of the last HONEST auto repair shops around. Firestone Auto Care- Magnolia/Talbert For the second time in about a year and half, I had to have a tire repaired that picked up a screw. Both times, they made the repair when two other shops told me that the tire was un-repairable and I would have to buy a new tire, or in one case, two tires because the car is All Wheel Drive. They got me in and out relatively quickly while I waited, and didn't overcharge or try to up-sell. The first repair has held up fine and I have confidence the second will be fine as well. Former licensed mechanic, and always a "car guy" so I knew the puncture location on the tire could be repaired and didn't buy the other places telling me I had to buy an new tire.
