Two visits in the past few weeks. Sat at the bar for dinner both times. The food is fantastic and delivered on hot plates that insures your food is warm (small touch but rarely done elsewhere). The staff is over the top professional and accommodating. They spend all their time keeping an eye on their customers without intruding. I find more and more that staff at other restaurants are allowed to stand around talking to each other and ignoring clients. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the vibe is downtown Boston restaurant but here in Hopkinton!! Very well run establishment with all the right touch points. Definitely recommend. read more

Four hungry "Boys Night Out" gents descended upon Arcos Cucina & Bar. It came highly recommended and boasts an impressive Yelp rating, so I was looking forward to a great dinner. Traffic in the area was heavy, and I initially missed the entrance to the parking lot. Fortunately, I found street parking about a block away. Once inside, it was easy to understand why parking can be at a premium. The restaurant was packed. Another patron entering at about the same time mentioned that the place is always busy. Our BNO crew is usually five strong, but only four of us made it this evening. We had a 7:15 p.m. reservation and were seated within a few minutes of arriving. It took about five minutes for our waitress to reach the table, but she did an admirable job considering how many customers she was serving. There were plenty of tempting items on the menu. We ordered: Appetizers * Ahi Tuna - Cajun-seared ahi tuna with Asian sesame and Napa cabbage slaw ($17) * Calamari - Cherry and banana peppers with cocktail sauce ($16) * Caesar Salad - Romaine, Parmesan, croutons, and creamy Caesar dressing ($13) * Mixed Greens Salad - Mixed greens, carrot, cherry tomato, red onion, cucumber, and honey-lime vinaigrette ($13) Entrees * Shrimp Francese (Dinner Special) - Five jumbo shrimp prepared Francese-style with scampi risotto and roasted tomato ($34) * Bolognese - Linguini with veal, beef, pork, and a touch of cream ($27) * Cioppino - Linguini with clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, spinach, and tomato broth ($36) * Grilled Salmon - Parmesan risotto, roasted Brussels sprouts, and lemon cream ($31) Dessert Pistachio Ice Cream Special - Shared four ways and absolutely delicious. My ahi tuna appetizer was excellent. I was less impressed with the Shrimp Francese dinner special, which had a slightly fishy taste. I also sampled the calamari, which was flavorful but served a bit cool for my liking. The other members of our BNO group enjoyed their meals, especially the bolognese (a very large portion), and we all agreed that we'd happily return. The restaurant itself is attractive, but be aware that it gets very busy and quite loud. If you're looking for a quiet, intimate dinner, this may not be your first choice. If you're looking for energetic atmosphere, good food, and a lively crowd, Arcos delivers. read more

Had a Mother's Day late lunch here yesterday and have to say that I was very impressed with the food and the service. Our party of four were seated at a high top on the bar side. Our server was great (sorry I've forgotten your name) and offered great suggestions. For starters we had the rolllantini, meatballs and we asked if they would sauté the calamari. They did and it was all excellent! The suggestion for the short rib did not disappoint, perfectly tender with great flavor. The risotto and Brussels were both perfectly done. My fiancé had the shrimp scampi which she enjoyed, her son had an enormous serving of chicken parm while her dad had the pasta primavera. We had cocktails before dinner and the Rutherford cab with our meals. Desserts were also outstanding with the star of that show being the pistachio gelato. Really first rate. Everything was an easy 10/10 but my favorite were the drinks and the bread! I tried the Don't drop the Blueberries (blueberry vodka and limoncello w/ blueberry rim) and an Espresso Martini. Both were absolutely delicious but the Martini was on very sweet (it's a dessert cocktail). The S'mores Old Fashioned is also great! For food, I had their Burrata Caprese w/ Chicken. Can't really go wrong with that. My friend had Polpette and Oysters and was absolutely obsessed!! As for the service, the bartender to the restaurant owner everyone was kind and overall vibes were amazing. My friend is a regular here and I can see why. Would def come back! read more

Dinner was fantastic. Atmosphere was so welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. Super relaxing and comfortable seating. We did not find the noise level to be loud as some reviews had suggested but I suppose that is all ones opinion. Our server, Ashley was amazing. Our Bolognese was fantastic as was our pistachio cake, dessert. The star of the show, which we suggest everyone try was the s'mores old-fashioned. One of the best old-fashioned we've had. Wow. This place was hopping on a Thursday at 5:30! Good for Hopkinton. The long bar was full of people enjoying cocktails and appetizers/meals. We sat in the dining area but quickly asked to move due to the loud diners at the next table. This restaurant has a lot of concrete (floors and walls) and hard tables and chairs. With the tall ceilings, sounds really bounce around. It's my one issue with the space. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. Complimentary bread arrived and it was delicious. The appetizers were good. Calamari was light and I liked the sauce. The tuna tartare didn't have a lot of flavor but it was a good portion. My husband had the bolognese and liked it- it got a "good". I really liked my chicken piccata- large portion, capers, mashed potato and broccoli. I ate half and had the rest for dinner the next day. Bread pudding was very good. The place was packed and by the time we left there was a line at the door. Service slowed as our evening went along but all servers and manager were working hard to get food to tables. read more

A great addition to downtown Hopkinton. First went to Arcos during the summer and ate dinner on the patio (was enticed by how great it smelled!) Have now been back three times over the last 1-2 months. All of the food has been delicious, from the burratta and rollatini apps to the bolognese, penne vodka, short rib and pasta primavera! Second time dining at Arcos. My dining companions and I sat at a high top near the bar. My Negroni cocktail was excellent. The food was terrific. We had Caesar Salad and it was crisp, fresh and perfectly dressed. My companions had the Haddock Piccata and raved. My Bolognese was deeply flavorful and divine. First time here and it won't be my last. Went for a girls night dinner and it was the perfect atmosphere. Only down side was it was super busy and we did not make a reservation prior, so we did have to wait a while, even for a seat at the bar. Besides the waiting to be seated everything else was great. Food came out fast, the service was attentive and helpful with giving recommendations on the menu. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it. The drinks were amazing, perfect espresso martini and lemon drop. The bartender Alicia was amazing. Went here for my birthday with my family and we wanted to try the new place in town. It was packed when we got in there but we had a reservation so got seated instantly. We had information that the pasta was very good so I got that and was amazed at how great it tasted for a restaurant that only opened a month ago. Our waiter was also very nice and gave us some good recommendations on food and also another place that we should try out. Very good new restaurant in downtown Hopkinton! Everything we ordered was just delicious! Arcos serves Mediterranean food, everything from Italian to Portuguese to Spanish, etc... I was with a party of four and we all really enjoyed everything! The service was really good, too! ! If I had to nitpick and say one thing in terms of constructive criticism (and this is literally the only one thing I could think of), I would say that my filet mignon was a little overly smothered in the accompanying mushroom sauce. Both the sauce and the filet were quite good (a very nice cut of meat!), but the sauce was a tad too heavy to completely cover the filet with. This made it harder to taste the true flavor of the meat, I could mostly just taste the mushroom sauce. They maybe should consider putting the sauce on the side. I think that a sauce (especially a heavier sauce like a mushroom sauce) is better suited on the side with a filet. Anyway, I DID eat my whole filet though, and it was still very tasty! That being said: considering this place has only been open for a week or two, I would say they are on their way to greatness! Overall, everything was really good!! My husband said his Bolognese was fabulous, and the other two people in our party said their dinners were delicious! All of our appetizers were so yummy, and the drinks were spot on! The tiramasu we had for dessert was totally delicious! Arcos is already very good, and I think they are on their way to becoming even better! I had the short rib with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts which was all delicious. My friend had the salmon and it looked like a really nice piece of fish. I went to Arcos this week and it was excellent from the time I walked in until the time I left. The food was excellent and there were so many choices it was hard to make a decision. I decided on the chicken piccata and I will say it was the best I have ever had. Our waiter was Ivan and he was phenomenal. He was attentive and explained everything to us from the story behind the owners to how they make the piccata sauce. He is a diamond in the rough.
