What a pleasant surprise. Like being in a chic spot in Back Bay. Great pastas. My favorite was the cioppino but they were were all fantastic. My daughter lived the fiochetti and my son-in-law the bolognese. The gambleri aglio appetizer was fantastic too. Highly recommend.

Everything was an easy 10/10 but my favorite were the drinks and the bread! I tried the Don't drop the Blueberries (blueberry vodka and limoncello w/ blueberry rim) and an Espresso Martini. Both were absolutely delicious but the Martini was on very sweet (it's a dessert cocktail). The S'mores Old Fashioned is also great! For food, I had their Burrata Caprese w/ Chicken. Can't really go wrong with that. My friend had Polpette and Oysters and was absolutely obsessed!! As for the service, the bartender to the restaurant owner everyone was kind and overall vibes were amazing. My friend is a regular here and I can see why. Would def come back!

Dinner was fantastic. Atmosphere was so welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. Super relaxing and comfortable seating. We did not find the noise level to be loud as some reviews had suggested but I suppose that is all ones opinion. Our server, Ashley was amazing. Our Bolognese was fantastic as was our pistachio cake, dessert. The star of the show, which we suggest everyone try was the s'mores old-fashioned. One of the best old-fashioned we've had. Delightfully, surprised and super smooth. Would definitely return and hope this restaurant endures the test of time. Wonderful to have such a great dining experience.

Wow. This place was hopping on a Thursday at 5:30! Good for Hopkinton. The long bar was full of people enjoying cocktails and appetizers/meals. We sat in the dining area but quickly asked to move due to the loud diners at the next table. This restaurant has a lot of concrete (floors and walls) and hard tables and chairs. With the tall ceilings, sounds really bounce around. It's my one issue with the space. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. Complimentary bread arrived and it was delicious. The appetizers were good. Calamari was light and I liked the sauce. The tuna tartare didn't have a lot of flavor but it was a good portion. My husband had the bolognese and liked it- it got a "good". I really liked my chicken piccata- large portion, capers, mashed potato and broccoli. I ate half and had the rest for dinner the next day. Bread pudding was very good. The place was packed and by the time we left there was a line at the door. Service slowed as our evening went along but all servers and manager were working hard to get food to tables.

A great addition to downtown Hopkinton. First went to Arcos during the summer and ate dinner on the patio (was enticed by how great it smelled!) Have now been back three times over the last 1-2 months. All of the food has been delicious, from the burratta and rollatini apps to the bolognese, penne vodka, short rib and pasta primavera! Natalia behind the bar is great. Great vibes too!

Second time dining here. Started with the special appetizer which was mozzarella sticks. Nothing stood out about them. But the dinner special on the other hand was amazing. As was the Caesar salad before it. We had reservations on a busy Saturday night.

Excellent dinner last night! Service was welcoming, food was delicious. Space is comfortable and fun. Can't wait to go back. Not pictured, tuna tartare and eggplant rollatoni appetizers.

Was the first time at Arcos and it was pretty good. A bit pricier than Central Public House and has some potential. We just did apps and drinks. All was very good. Fingers crossed on their success.

We just had dinner here this evening. I hat a great place! The server was very attentive and friendly. We started with the tuna tartare, calamari, and Gamberi Aglio. For entrees we had the Fiocchetti, Kona Crusted NY Sirloin, and the Chicken Picatta. And then we finished off with the Cheesecake dessert and the Passion fruit Mango sorbet. Everything we ate was cooked perfectly! We would gladly return to this restaurant again!!

The food, service and overall vibe of Arcos was phenomenal. Attentive and respectful wait staff and phenomenal chefs that prepared incredible meals. Incredible vibes all around the restaurant and cannot wait to return.

The restaurant is located in a small plaza with plenty of parking which is nice. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance because once you step inside you are nicely surprised by the super cute decor and how cozy and nice the place is. The waiter was very nice and attentive and recommended some entrees since it was our first time dining with them. There was so much to choose from because everything sounded so good. They even had a specials menu with very reasonable prices. They had a lobster dish special that was only $30! Wow! They gave us complimentary olives and warm bread with butter which was also really nice. We decided on wine because a half bottle was only $12! That was perfect for the both of us! We got the soup of the day which was kale with sausage and it was so good! There were big chunks of sausage and the delicious broth was perfect for a cold winter night. My boyfriend went with their sea bass which was a whole fish and it was nice and flaky and super yummy. I think the star of the night was my fegioda mariscos dish. The seafood and lobster looked amazing and tasted amazing! I especially enjoyed the red bean broth it paired well with the shrimp, mussels, clams and lobster! We were stuffed but satisfied by the end of our meal and wished we had room for dessert because the three options they had also sounded very good, but there's always next time! We will definitely be back!

Even though it was an early dinner, it was already getting busy at this popular, out of the way, restaurant. Alicante provides a beautiful venue, a long rectangle footprint on the shore of a small pond, offering lovely views from every table. It took a few minutes for our waiter to arrive at our table, and as the evening progressed, the service slowed to a crawl. Historically, the service has been excellent at this upscale restaurant, but it seemed that our waiter had too many tables and was overwhelmed. Bread and water were brought promptly, as was our tasty calamari appetizer. But the salad which we were told would arrive quickly took a long time to find its way to our table, and the entrees seem to take forever. We ordered: * Tuna Sashimi * Caser Salad * Calamari * Ternera Marsala * Seared Scallops * Pasta Special in Cream Sauce * Riesling and Cabernet The calamari appetizer was excellent. For my entre I ordered the seared scallops, which were good, but the risotto was very dry. I sampled the pasta with chicken in cream sauce, which was tasty, but the chicken was also very dry. And when I returned home, I received an email from the reservation app asking why I hadn't arrived for my reservation. I think the hostess was also overwhelmed. I think the Alicante was having an off night, which can happen at any establishment. That said, considering the $305 tab, we were hoping for better overall execution.

She'd mapped out a perfect little afternoon and evening, starting with an indoor market that was full of local art and vintage charm. By the time we wrapped up there, we were hungry. With so many restaurant options around, we chanced it and landed here. The moment you step inside, you're hit with that scent of garlic and seafood. My kid and I gave each the 'look' that said: this is it! Casa Portugal is inviting and decorated in soft blues+whites giving a coastal feel and the service equally matched the energy perfectly: attentive and kind. Our plump and juicy shrimp in tomato sauce starter was rich and full of garlic. It was the kind of appetizer where you find yourself wanting extra bread just to sip up that garlicky sauce. For our main plates, my kid picked the grilled octopus, and I went with the sea bream. The octopus was "like butta," and had that perfect char on the outside but silky inside. My sea bream was nice and I particularly liked that they got rid of the head and tail for me. Both our man plates by the way- had a nice amount of potatoes and steamed vegetables. And here's another part that really stood out- pricing. For the quality and freshness of the seafood, everything felt reasonable. All in all, come to Casa P. for a good meal. From the moment you walk in and smell that garlic in the air to that last bite of seafood, it really delivers on every level.

They bring bread to your table to start, it was very good especially with some butter and olive oil on top. I do wish it were toasted or warmed but it was still fresh. We also ordered the appetizer, Chouriço Assado no Fogareiro (Grilled Portuguese Sausage). This came to us straight off the flame and was nice and hearty. I ordered off of the specials menu, Bacalhau com natas (Cod with Portuguese cream). It was very yummy, fresh fish and a light cream. It came with salad but I asked for rice. Instead of substituting the waitress gave me both and charged an extra $5...oh well. Salad was good and rice too. My boyfriend got the Filetes de Peixe (Fried fish filet with salad, rice & potatoes). He enjoyed his too! Those potatoes were yummy. We chose fish and most of the tables around us did too. We skipped on dessert although all looked great. This place was quite charming inside and definitely is an awesome place to enjoy dinner. It was busy so we were lucky to snag a table as it's not big inside. We did feel as this cooking was very homemade and although super tasty and lovely inside, I wouldn't consider it fine dining. I would revisit!

At their front patio, they had the World Cup game playing, but the back patio felt cozier so we opted for that. The inside though was a strong second since the lighting is very low, creating a cool and calm environment. Walking through the restaurant to get to our table made me realize that each table is unique, no two are decorated the same or have the same furniture. It was a hot day but the overhead mesh cover blocked out a lot of the sun. Our waitress made us feel very welcome from the start and told us about their drink and food specials. My friend ordered Guatemalan beer as well as a Spanish beer. For food, we ordered the plantain fries, octopus, calamari, and shrimp salad, and grilled lamp chops. The seafood salad came out first. According to the menu, it was going to be paired with cornbread. It looked like sourdough bread but had a far denser consistency. I was expecting the salad to have lots of shrimp to act as a filler but surprisingly, it was about 60% octopus, 25% calamari, 10% shrimp, and 5% onions. The seafood was very flavorful, tasted fresh, and cooked perfectly. The portion size was great for two. Next came the plantain fries, which I was least impressed with as it was essentially fried plantain chunks. I think it would have been better if they were cut into smaller pieces that can be easily dipped and consumed in one bite. The plantain was gently ripe, so just a little sweet and the dipping sauce was like a less sour sour cream. Lastly, the lamp chops came out and the presentation was wonderful. They were a bit skinnier and less tender than that I was expecting, but flavor wise they were good. We enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service here.
