    1/4 lb hot dog

Went here for lunch around 12 on a Saturday. The inside is no frills with Xmas lights hanging up, which really gives it a charming, homey feel. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, chowder, and a beer and the love of my life ordered a beer and a hot dog. I didn't know what to expect because of the decor but you can easily tell the ingredients are fresh. The chowder had great flavor with solid clam and potato ratio, and the chicken salad was great quality. The price is what brought it to 5-stars; all of that for under $30? Sign me up. This is definitely going to be a regular spot for me. Also awesome outside seating!

Food was really great, they host fun events that go towards the food pantry which is lovely to see. I was very satisfied.

We had dinner and a few drinks out on the front porch in the summer. Nice spot to spend the evening. Burger and lobster roll were both good.

Small but cozy eatery/drinkery in a residential neighborhood. No parking near the building, but…read morethere's an easy lot just around the corner. Lots of knock knacks on the walls, many related to beer and trains. Deep menu of comfort food made from scratch. Good draft beer list. -- Depot Burger: Their more ambitious of two regular menu burgers (they also have some as specials) was a visual treat in a pillowy Portuguese muffin. This provided a full size patty cooked to medium rare with juices trickling from the gentle, loosely packed beef. Full-coverage Vermont cheddar added silky richness, red onion jam added contrast, and tomato and arugula added vegetation. The star, at least visually, was the bacon: crisp, yet soft and bendable, with glorious color. Flavor was even better, with a deliciously strong cure. The whole package worked beautifully. One of the better burgers I've had this year for sure. -- Fries (a $2 add-on to the burger): A big stack, hand-cut (they also have hand-cut sweet potato fries), cooked just to the point of crispness while leaving a little droop and fluff. Nicely seasoned. -- Beer: I was thrilled to see a Hill Farmstead Double Nelson on the tap list. Smooth, strong, and delicious. -- Buffalo Wings: Looked and felt a little different, so I asked. Baked, then fried, yielding some charred crust on the outside and some tenderness within. Good wings, but with great sauces: the homemade Buffalo sauce had some serious kick, some complexity (little bits of unknown herbs), and some vinegar too. Homemade blue cheese thick and zesty. On Mondays, $1 each in batches of 6 or more, and with a guest flavor on top of their interesting fleet (ginger is next). -- Quahog: A well-rounded stuffed pile with bits of chorizo crispily mixed in, served with lemon wedge. It needed it for moisture, but a formidable offering that still satisfied. -- Caesar Salad: A large one with two well-layered hunks of Romaine, with a zippy (maybe mustard-infused) dressing and a dense coverage of crispy pancetta. Numerous homemade, dice-sized, well-seasoned croutons. No additional Parm and no anchovy pieces I could detect on their, but that dressing didn't let me down. A different kind of Caesar, but a very enjoyable one. -- Steak Tips: Had as an add-on to the salad, this provided a taste without committing to a full order. These don't make my steak tips pantheon (Champions, Tuckaway Tavern, New Bridge Cafe), but decent. Cooked a bit past the medium rare but still somewhat juicy. Nice flavor too, but subtle. I wouldn't get these again; too many better things on the menu. Service at the bar was cordial and attentive on both visits. Friendly staff all around. Not everything was perfect, but so much of it was (and no duds) that it's impossible not to drop a 5 based on the overall quality of every aspect.

We were told by our server that a parking lot is available just down the next side street - close by. We had no reservation, but scored a round table facing the street. Place was homey, lots of metal signs on the wall and hanging from the ceiling. Nice menu, adult daughter had a clam chowder (very thick and tasty) and shared our meals. My significant other had a corned beef reuben with a side of truffle fries and a pickle spear - very nice reuben, plenty of meat, swiss, kraut and dressing. She and daughter who always order reubens aaid the sandwich was good. I had a Depot burger which was half lb beef, bacon, cheese and tomato. Excellent. Came w homemade chips and a spear. Server was attentive with refills, checking on our food and whether we wanted dessert. Nice place for lunch, just celebrated their 12th anniversary of being in business. Will come again for lunch or breakfast.

This wasn't my first time at 45, I've had a graduation party there before. However, it did remind me I have to go back more often. The restaurant itself is nice. Plenty of parking and lots of room inside of the building. They have many rooms for functions set up as well. Our waitress was Nikki, and she's fantastic. Great personality, bubbly, and helpful. I was very happy to have her! This night I ordered the chicken Loretta but had it over pasta. This was probably one of the best dishes I've had in a while. The pasta was cooked expertly, chicken was nice and crisp, and the ricotta mixture was the perfect amount of creamy. I would highly recommend Restaurant 45 to anyone who wants a great meal!

The interior is inviting with a large dining room, and the hostess was welcoming right away. Service stood out--attentive, consistent, and professional throughout the meal. The menu is extensive, almost to a fault, but it works in your favor if you're indecisive. They were out of one of the surf and turf specials, but with so many options it wasn't an issue. Drinks were well done--the spring sangria was a highlight and worth ordering again. We started with bread and truffle-style fries. The fries were overcooked and a bit too hard, but still flavorful and a generous portion. For mains, the short rib was pretty good and well-prepared. The chicken and broccoli leaned a little heavy on the garlic but was still enjoyable. Steak tips looked solid, and the fish and chips were another strong dish. Prices were a bit on the higher side, but for the amount of food and variety, it felt reasonable overall. In the end, not a bad spot at all for a suburban restaurant. A few minor misses, but plenty of positives. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

The buffalo chicken mac and cheese is great when the blue cheese crumbles are remembered, the chicken birria tacos can be flavorful but often missing the chipotle sauce or broth (or both!), and the southern fried chicken is frequently missing the gravy. The baja fish tacos can be soggy with inconsistent portions, and the honey mustard wrap is often more salad than chicken. Checking your order before leaving can help prevent some of these oversights. And again, when the kitchen gets these things right, you're in for a delicious meal. Some other items we love that haven't become takeout blunders yet include the burgers, the nashville hot chicken sandwich, the greek salad, and garlic parm fries. The southwest steak and avocado bowl, however, is overpriced for the small amount of steak, and the vegetable sides need much more seasoning. Overall, this place has a lot of potential and some truly great menu items, but the lack of consistency makes it hard to fully recommend.

But if you want good to great home cooked food and an at home kind of atmosphere I would recommend Carbone's. My fiancé, her father and I are here last week. The boiled lobster was great, the eggplant parm was devoured and whole my steak tips were so-so (too small and way too much sauce) we had a great experience. The food was outstanding. The beef stew, one of their soup specials, was 10/10. Be back for that alone. They were out of the short rib ravioli so my wife pivoted to the pot roast which was great, tender and flavorful. The sides were only so so. We also had some chicken and veal parm which never disappoints. A couple guests ordered the shrimp cocktail at $16.25. One gentleman ordering it assured me it was well worth the money. You only get 4 but they were some of the biggest I've seen in a restaurant in a long time. When done you bring your check up front to pay. I found it convenient. We'll definitely be back again soon.
