Tiramisu
Luanne W.

Went for the first time tonight as surrounding restaurants had long waits, and it is conveniently located and we thought let's give it a try. Nice atmosphere. We had a flat bread pizza which was delicious and the Tiramisu was outstanding. Plenty of parking and thinking it's a hidden gem.

Food was okay....odd experience though. In this time of political divide it was a strange choice to have Newsmax on the big screen.

Had a Mother's Day late lunch here yesterday and have to say that I was very impressed with the…read morefood and the service. Our party of four were seated at a high top on the bar side. Our server was great (sorry I've forgotten your name) and offered great suggestions. For starters we had the rolllantini, meatballs and we asked if they would sauté the calamari. They did and it was all excellent! The suggestion for the short rib did not disappoint, perfectly tender with great flavor. The risotto and Brussels were both perfectly done. My fiancé had the shrimp scampi which she enjoyed, her son had an enormous serving of chicken parm while her dad had the pasta primavera. We had cocktails before dinner and the Rutherford cab with our meals. Desserts were also outstanding with the star of that show being the pistachio gelato. Really first rate. A real gem of a place with a fantastic ambiance. A must try.

Everything was an easy 10/10 but my favorite were the drinks and the bread! I tried the Don't drop…read morethe Blueberries (blueberry vodka and limoncello w/ blueberry rim) and an Espresso Martini. Both were absolutely delicious but the Martini was on very sweet (it's a dessert cocktail). The S'mores Old Fashioned is also great! For food, I had their Burrata Caprese w/ Chicken. Can't really go wrong with that. My friend had Polpette and Oysters and was absolutely obsessed!! As for the service, the bartender to the restaurant owner everyone was kind and overall vibes were amazing. My friend is a regular here and I can see why. Would def come back!

Ok so if you're looking for a Michelin experience you may want to skip this old time neighborhood…read moreplace. But if you want good to great home cooked food and an at home kind of atmosphere I would recommend Carbone's. My fiancé, her father and I are here last week. We sat in the lounge area, had a very good server with a bit of an attitude (the good kind) and maybe because we didn't expect too much we were pleasantly surprised. The boiled lobster was great, the eggplant parm was devoured and whole my steak tips were so-so (too small and way too much sauce) we had a great experience. We shared some onion rings and her dad had a side of French fries....both were pretty amazing. Would recommend for a place to have "suppah"!

The food was outstanding. The beef stew, one of their soup specials, was 10/10. Be back for that alone. They were out of the short rib ravioli so my wife pivoted to the pot roast which was great, tender and flavorful. The sides were only so so. We also had some chicken and veal parm which never disappoints. A couple guests ordered the shrimp cocktail at $16.25. One gentleman ordering it assured me it was well worth the money. You only get 4 but they were some of the biggest I've seen in a restaurant in a long time. When done you bring your check up front to pay. I found it convenient. We'll definitely be back again soon.

There is a significant service and management problem at this restaurant. My family and I went for…read moreSt Patrick's Day, as we have before. We asked the manager for some napkins to prop up the wobbly table and he said (quote) "Why don't you tell your kid not to stand on his chair" and walked away. The kid in question was literally sitting in his chair with one foot against the table. We explained to the manager the impact of what he said, and gave him multiple opportunities to apologize. We get it: its St Patrick's Day in an Irish bar and it's stressful. But instead of recognizing that he snapped: he doubled down and tried to convince us that his language fine, and that we were in the wrong for calling him out. I even talked with him an hour later, after it had cooled off, and he continued to be aggressive and dismissive. A bad manager is one thing. But our server didn't acknowledge the awkwardness (even as other families watched in shock), just trying to rush us out. The food was probably the worst it's ever been at Stone's, which raises questions of why. It's understandable to have a bad day, it's *not* ok to set the tone for your staff and establishment that berating your customers, unprompted, is acceptable.
