I contacted Arctic Fox per a recommendation from someone who had excellent feedback about the experience with the company, so naturally - I already felt a little bit more comfortable reaching out. I called about midday and nobody answered the call but we left a message for a call back, and we received a call back within 10 minutes. It was a Saturday and we scheduled for a Monday service call on the two units we have for the house. The upstairs unit was sporadically working and wasn't providing cold air so we wanted them to also take a look at that. The person that came out at 9am was cordial, clear, and expansive in the sharing he provided about what he was doing, what he was looking for, and what we were hoping for. It was a bunch of gibberish to me because hvac isn't my jam but it was helpful information to have later so I could explain to my cousin who does know HVAC. By around noon he was able to determine what the issue was, tell us what part/s were needed and given us a quote for the service. He was going to be able to fix it before the end of the day and something excellent to note is that our old unit (original from '98) still had parts! (Something 2 other companies that had come out wanting us to purchase brand new units had boasted and made us fear!) That in itself made us trust that he was actually trying to help us and not just sell us a new AC unit in the middle of an AZ summer! He left and came back with parts, a partner to help, and was finished right about 4pm or so. The price seemed fair for the service, parts, labor and overall the experience we had was positive so I was thrilled that by the end of the day, our old original unit (both of them for that matter) felt like they'd gotten a refresh and were back up and running again! Also, the warranty for service covered a year for the parts and 2 years for the service. Overall a super positive experience and thrilled we didn't have to buy a new unit, that we fixed the issue, and that we feel covered for the next year! This company is the absolute best. Fair, honest, and dependable. What more could you want in a local business. Air conditioning companies, in general, have a reputation for shoddy work or suspicious sales techniques. We had one of the "big" Phoenix companies tell us our AC unit was on its last legs. They wanted $14K. So we called Arctic Fox. Tim was there within 24 hrs, looked at the unit, and gave us several options to get us through. The cheapest was $400. We also had him quote a new system- nearly 50% less. Fortunately, we had the money and asked Tim to replace our old unit. We were originally scheduled for a Friday, but were bumped to Saturday as the result of an emergency with another customer. The crew was there @ 7am and were finished by 11am. I will never call anyone but Arctic Fox for air conditioning service! They are fair priced, dependable, honest and do not try to upsell you. For many years they've been doing my yearly service and always here quickly to fix things when something goes wrong. This last time it went out Heath was here right away, same day, to diagnose. He had to get creative with a fix and could not guarantee how long it would work because of the nature of the problem. So I asked how quickly they could install a new one and that was done 4 days later. The team at Arctic Fox installed a new 2 stage 15 SEER2 American Standard heat pump today. They installed a new Honeywell WiFi thermostat which I love because I can control it from my phone no matter where I am. I could have gone through my home warranty company and paid about $500 but do not trust anyone but Arctic Fox to keep the cool air flowing. Today they put in two more intakes, which Heath recommended a month ago when they put in the new unit, but I didn't do at the time. Silly me! It's so nice and cool throughout the entire house now! I think I have met everyone on the team, each person is very knowledgeable, thorough, clean and truly caring. What a fantastic local business! We had a packrat take up residence in our 8-year old Mitsubishi ductless mini-split HVAC unit to our bedroom. WTF??? Called the original contractor, their estimate for replacement was astronomical. My wife called her BFF for a referral, and she recommended Arctic Fox. Tim contacted us immediately, offered to replace the system for a reasonable cost, and was there two days later with everything ready to go. Tim and Keith spent literally the entire day installing the new system, including careful sealing of the required new access hole, making sure all wiring and connectors were weather (and rodent) proof, as well as completely repairing the old hole (which was a rough hole that the prior contractor had simply punched through the wall, without any finishing, sealing or weather-proofing).
