We had Laron work on our LG refrigerator twice and paid about $1000 the refrigerator went down again and we left voice message and texted Laron a few times and got no response. We hope Laron is okay and not having any medical issue, but the facts remain that we had not got a response back. UPDATE Loran called me today to apologize for the miscommunication. I feel he was honest and sincere about the situation. I've changed the rating from 1 to 4 as Loran does have an excellent customer service history rating and was willing to come out and take care of our refrigerator on a Saturday. My gas cooktop had a burner that wouldn't reliably light. When he came by to diagnose the problem, he told me that it was a super easy fix and either he could order the part and come back, or I could fix it myself. He told me the part number to order and quickly explained how to change it out. So he lent his expertise and saved me the charge for the service fee to come out and do it himself. He's both knowledgeable and honest (because he could've made it sound like a big, expensive deal and I wouldn't have been the wiser!). What can I say, other than Loran (Loe's owner) is just a good guy? He's honest, hard-working, and always trying to do the best for his customers. He demonstrates the kind of integrity that is sorely missing from many vendors these days. I found Loe's/Loran kind of by accident via some Angie's List predecessor. What a great find! We've used him for refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer repairs over the years and have never been disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On about our second or third interaction, he was unable to come over to look at our non-functional washer because it was late on a Friday when we spoke, and he was taking his family on an out-of-town trip the next morning. Yet, he told me that if I wanted to, I could go to a parts warehouse on Saturday morning (where he'd already verified they had the part my washer needed) to pick up the necessary part, and that he'd then walk me through the replacement process over the phone the next day[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. His instructions via phone were right on the money--it was as though he was looking over my shoulder because he described every nut and screw I needed to remove or tighten, and the repairs were done--by me with Loran's guidance--within under 30 minutes, and AT NO CHARGE. That cinched it--we've used Loran for all of our appliance repairs ever since. Most recently, our old washer once again stopped working. Loran came over twice, the first time, to diagnose a defective timer, and the second time, to install a replacement timer he'd found for me online (through an outside vendor) with two-day shipping when his regular parts suppliers were quoting a three-week shipping time (meaning we'd be using laundromats for three weeks!). It turned out the part I ordered from the outside vendor was dead on arrival (I'm now fighting with that vendor--you may soon see my review on them...) so my washer is still not fixed (through no fault of Loran's). However, Loran refused to accept any money from me, even after he had been at my house twice. Really? How many vendors are not going to charge you for a service call, regardless of what they do when they arrive? To use an old saying, Loran is as honest as the day is long. Response time from various outreaches for a return call (or email/SMS response) varied from 24 hours to several days. Laron of Loe's Appliance and AC responded in a couple of hours , and the planets must have been aligned, because not only was he the quickest to respond, but his expertise was in full display since he was able to diagnose the problem via my description of the issue, but he also ensured the following: - availability of the part before the Parts Warehouse closed that day.
