You read that right, it's Area 15, not Area 51, but upon entering, I'm not sure you'd know the difference. The closest comparison I can liken to this wonderland is either a theme park, or a collection of adult interactive museums, with one pretty notable difference...here parking is free, entry is free before a certain time...end of list. That's it. Everything else is a paid experience, every interaction, installation, zipline, art show, silent disco party, ride, and VR experience is paid It doesn't cost to look but it costs to touch! As a first time guest here's what I explored, and here's what I learned which I wish I knew beforehand: *Night (paid 21+ entry) begins at 7pm. *Meow wolf is amazing, and was my excuse for visiting BUT if you have the time (and some coin), you can purchase experience passes that bundle paid experiences on the website (still expensive but a better deal than purchasing a la carte) *During our visit we were not aware that various attractions closed at different times, so we missed out on a lot of the fun. Plan for stimulation fatigue, and if you do plan to explore multiple attractions give yourself more time than you think you'll need! *(without kiddos) plan to spend 2+ hour in Omega Mart alone, and for the love of someone above, do not make the mistake of wearing heels (like I did)! Dress comfortably, meaning you can crawl, slide, zipline, and move with ease lol. *The zipline (for us atleast) was worth the investment but...for the love of someone above do not wear a leather jacket that restricts your arm movement (like I did)! *Look out for events and concerts (they seem to have everything from EDM to wellness), I'm sure the venue is 100% worth the trip on those nights Other than these pointers, don't overthink your trip. As an art enthusiast this place was a trip, an amalgamation of creative minds, concepts and ideas all melding together to create a truly immersive wonderland. I love area 15! There's a bunch of things to do from meow wolf - omega mart, indoor zip lining, art museums, VR rooms, sensory rooms and much more! This is two floors of fun! There's places to grab food and a big bar in the middle to grab drinks! One of my favorite little shopping areas is right as you walk in and they constantly change up their clothing / looks and you can find some high quality unique finds for your wardrobe! Definitely a cool place, and super unique compared to the strip. It has a hipster style, and reminds of where the young adult crowd goes to hang. Make sure to reserve a time to enter as they have a limit, and no worries it is free during the day. Check times as at night, you have to pay a small entry fee and then it is limited to 21 and under. I really enjoyed their shows and Meow Wolf Mart. We hung out there for 3 hours. Probably more fun if your drinking, but we took our time and enjoyed the entire place. Trying to solve the mystery of the place added a little fun, so I just playing the game. We didn't finish the game because it was too complicated haha, but still fun. There is free parking, but i heard it was limited. We instead took a uber and it was super easy. Ended up being $10 and took only 10 minutes to get there- much better. Food is suppose to be really good at the main restaurant, but it's on the higher end. I suggest to eat there for the whole experience, as the bbq smelled amazing! Great for kids, but remember each venture they costs money and altogether can cost alot. If on a budget, I say go to Meow Wolf Mart, see a show, Arcade and get ice cream. What a neat place! We were in town and looking for something to do with kids. You have to pay for each indoor exhibit. We chose to experience wink world. It was cute. You enter different rooms and experience a few minutes of a different neon art installation. I really appreciate that each room had lower dome windows for smaller kids to look through. It was a super fun experience. We will try another installation the next time we are in town. The only downfall is that I should have researched it a little better. I wasn't aware that you had to pay for each experience. Some are much cheaper than others. read more

Extremely overrated! If you're interested in the Omega Mart you need to pay & make a reservation online. If you come early you won't be able to get in early, they ask you come back 10 mins before your reserved time. We wasted time by getting drinks on the 1st floor under the glow tree. The drinks tasted great...but were weak, didn't taste the alcohol at all! The omega Mart is just a bunch of random rooms, can't really touch too much. The Mart is only the beginning. Kind of has a sci-fi feel in the other rooms. For $55 each I expected a lot more interaction. Tik tok told us there is a 'secret & hidden' bar in there. ITS NOT SECRET - literally off to the side, drinks were no good. This place is only good for kiddos. This place is obviously crowded and not every part of the place was AC'd. We did the Omega mart and although it is huge inside, the ticket prices were a bit much even after the "military discount" for one of our tickets. We did the axe throwing and that was pricey as well. The Arcade coin machine was broken which sucked. The drinks at the bar were 20$ each for our drinks and I always tip. I spent 600$ for just myself and my wife while at Area 15. Don't get me wrong, we still had fun but we didn't do anything spectacular to spend this much. read more

So many fun things to do here! We didn't have a chance to do everything. Plus it's free to get inside (get your tickets ahead of you don't want to wait in a line for free entry tickets). Once inside there are stores, ice cream, restaurants, and activities you pay for a la carte. The theme of the place is high tech art exhibit and mind expanding activities. Some of it reminds me of the Raves from back in the day. Meow Wolf's Mega Mart is the anchor to the place. The line there was pretty long so we decided to skip it until next time. Looks fun though. Our favorite was Wink World. There are 6 rooms you get to experience. It's really mind opening and I would do it again. $18 plus the fee for the 3D glasses pp. It was worth it! Hailey's Comet was a very quick ride at $18 pp. I wish they had it going through some of the other exhibits to make it a little longer ride. Fun to do once. Museum Fiasco was very much like a rave from the 90's. Very loud but really cool. We definitely will visit again next time we are in Vegas. read more

Came here tonight to see a concert at Area 15 at The Portal. When I purchased my tickets I didn't see an option for ADA, which I need because I have severe arthritis and no cartilage in my knee which makes it painful to stand up for long periods of time. I saw on Area 15's FAQ that they are ADA compliant, but I didn't see anything for concerts specifically. I tried to find a phone number to inquire and there isn't one to get in touch with anybody. They had an online AI web chat where they said there was ADA seating for The Portal, but I still didn't know where to go to ask for it. Arrived at Area 15 and asked one of the security guards before entering where I could go for ADA and he told me once doors opens to come find him and he'd help me. People started forming in a line so I went to find him at the front of the line and he told me I had to stand in the line and he was going to radio to ask about ADA and he would come find me in line. A few minutes passed and he came to find me near the end of the line and told me that once I get to the front he'd direct me where to find ADA. (Again as someone in need of ADA, it can be hard to stand in a long line, but I complied to not make things more difficult) I get to the front of the line and another security guard escorted me to the doors and told me to wait here while someone comes to us. We waited several minutes and out finally came a girl with a barstool and goes "Okay heres the chair you asked for." I was confused and I asked her what I should do with it because I've never gone through something like this. She said I can put it somewhere off to the side. My husband thankfully was with me to help me carry the chair, (Again not everyone needing ADA has someone else to help them or can carry a chair for themselves. Again thankfully my husband was there to help me.) We awkwardly walked over to the side of the venue with the barstool in hand and sat it down. But it being a barstool and also the barstool had really skinny legs, I couldn't sit on it because of my bad knee and it also didn't look stable enough to carry my weight, so I couldn't even use it. I did my best to stand for the rest of the concert but I am in a lot of pain because of it. There were several couches that were sectioned off that didn't get used the entirety of the show. I included a picture of the barstool they gave me and in the other picture I circled where my chair is adjacent to the empty sofa chairs. It's upsetting to see that this is their only option for ADA. Even with me trying to contact them in advance, continuing to follow up before the show, and trying to talk to different employees, they didn't seem prepared to have to accommodate someone whose in need of ADA seating. Also by bringing up the couches they had, I am not saying I am entitled to use or sit on the couches, but if there is room for several rows of empty couches there could be a couple normal (Not barstool chairs) for a ADA section. I hope that they fix this in the future and add a section in their venues and in their website to clarify for people who are looking to attend concerts in the future who are in need of ADA seating. So a heads up to anyone who needs ADA trying to see a show here. read more

This place is a totally unique immersive experience that is fun for the whole family! From kids to grandparents and everyone in between! We arrived about 10 minutes prior to our prescheduled ticket time. Parking was plentiful and very easy! There was no line to get in on a Monday so it too was a breeze. We went right in and went to Meow Wolf Omega Mart. After a quick bag check and security screening, we went right in. And what a crazy and cool place!! You honestly have to go and experience this part for yourself! But there are hidden places to explore and plenty to do. Inside Area 15, there are shops, restaurants, bars, axe throwing, virtual golf, flight simulators and so many more cool things to do and see. You can easily come here and spend 2-8 hours depending on how you want your experience to be. When I say there is something for everyone, there honestly is. Outside of Area 15 they have a bar ride that takes you up into the air for cool Vegas views, a DJ, lounge chairs, Jenga and more. You can spend time out here too! This place is definitely a must-go when you come to Vegas! I personally went here for the BTS photography exhibition and Pop-Up event. The staff was very nice and understanding with everything. They kept everything as under control as they could - but there was definitely a LARGE crowd and it was super busy the day that I went so it was a bit inevitable. Aside from these pop-up events, there is a HUGE warehouse of things that you can do inside of the actual Area 15. There are food places, coffee, Meow Wolf Super Market, this zip-lining looking thing, and more. Just stepping in here makes it feel like you have entered another realm and universe. I cant wait to try these places out in the future. Giving 4 stars just because this is all based on staff and first impressions. I havent tried the other things inside of Area 15 so I'm saving the rest of my rating for then :D read more

First time there during the 2nd BTS weekend. The parking lot is small but the traffic hosts are efficient. They have a separate pick up alley which made things efficient. The $25 BTS Behind the Scene Experience was ticketed via the Fever app included a display of photos and videos. The end included a photo op in front of the BTS door logo. We missed the Pop-up with the record store display and washing machine shown in BTS music video bec the was toooo long. The line wrapped around the building! Outside the Experience was a patio area set up with 0-shaped swings, colorful picnic chairs, tables, and a huge music video screen. They offered bar service. TLDR: A supersaturated sensory experience, especially the Omega Mart attraction. Plan ahead by purchasing tickets and add in your favorite rideshare service :) - - - - - - AREA15 is a must visit, and as their website mentions, the best way to visit is through RideShare. Parking and driving in Vegas as a non-resident seemed hectic, and I'm glad my group took an Uber. Many experiences are housed inside AREA15. Note that many of these "experiences" must be purchased separately! We arrived after 9pm, so there were ID checks (21+ after 9pm). Some notable "experiences" included Omega Mart (the main reason for our visit), a hanging ride around the entire location, an arcade, and even a silent disco! There are also many options for food and drinks, but we did not entertain those. If you are visiting, I strongly recommend checking out Omega Mart, too. Even with the cheapest ticket, we still had a ton of fun... wish they were open past midnight, but there's really nothing to complain about. read more

The place is cute and maybe a fun date location but it's a bummer you have to pay for entry and then every individual experience inside is also an additional cost? Some of the experiences are not really worth it imo and would be best just doing the big ones like Omega Mart. The bars inside are cool and drinks creative and fun but not super delicious. The central area is free to enter but then all separate exhibitors events activities are paid and not cheap. Outdoor there's a bar and elevating bar attracting. Note that there are other experiences at this location, some of which are included in admission and some that have added costs. For Omega Mart, be warned, there are crowds with poorly managed flow control, and the guidance about the experience is very minimal. So if spending a lot of time poking around and exploring does not appeal to you, you might want to think twice about visiting. This is truly an entertainment complex! A MUST SEE! The location is off the strip and in an industrial area. Kind of hard to walk to but definitely worth the quick drive. The first thing you'll notice is the art and sculptures outside. Great for some quick photo ops. Once inside say goodbye to daylight and let the immersion begin. There's a little something for everyone but everything is geared towards adults and not children. There's a Van Gough experience, Arcade, Alcohol Tasting Room, Omega Mart and more. Omega Mart is probably the most popular and for good reason. It's like an open escape room in a grocery store that is like the Darma Initiative. The levels of detail are impressive. Plan to spend an hour or two for this activity. The arcade is strictly 18+. There's probably 10-12 Pinball machines, pool tables, basketball, skee ball and plenty of classic arcade games. Tokens only for the games. Wink World is very unique. It is a series of rooms that are setup as infinity rooms. The rooms are all unique moving lights and art timed to music. The whole experience is automatically timed and flows well. I suggest getting the 3D glasses to enhance the experience. Come early if you can. It definitely is popular. Parking fills up and there is congestion at busy times. Cell phone coverage isn't the best here. They have wifi. Make sure you have a charged phone or portable charges. You'll be taking tons of pics and video. Plenty of gifts shops for a souvenirs and unique items. Don't forget to have fun and enjoy the art! read more

Experience of the museums were mediocre for entrance fees paid + upsell of 3D glasses which was not really needed. The environment and theme was cool, but after about 30-minutes, you pretty much have seen everything within the free areas. All other areas require entrance fees which can then add up. After we did the two museums and were disappointed, we did not feel the need to pay for the other spots. I would recommend that people come and check it out as there are a lot of cool photo opportunities with their art pieces and neon light themes, but don't get hyped on overpaying for the museums and foods at the restaurants here. read more

I was really, REALLY excited to check out Area 15. My wife, 16 year old son and I love escape rooms, mystery games and just about any type of adventure. So the thrill of the unknown regarding what we would find here was enticing. Not to mention the numerous ads that popped up all over social media that continued to pique our curiosity as we looked forward to our visit. We eagerly reserved our spots and planned to spend a day enjoying all that this place had to offer. Upon arrival, we were taken back to our glory days in high school with all the neon colors and black lights-it's really well done and sets the mood for both fun and a hint of mystery, still not sure what we were going to find. The upbeat music adds to the ambience and every staff member that we encountered was friendly and kept things moving along. First, my wife and son rode the Haley's Comet ride. It was about a minute long and they hung suspended above the facility, riding a track. They both said it was fun, but not sure if it was worth $18 per person. We walked around to see what else there was and learned that every attraction costs an entrance fee-and not a nominal amount. We quickly realized we would not be spending all day here, as we had planned. We purchased tickets to the Brainstorm game on our phone and headed over to that attraction. When we got to the game, we were told that it was down and they were working on it. After about 10 minutes of waiting, they told us that they didn't know if it would be back up or not and that we could use our passes on a VR game. Both my wife and I get sick on VR and didn't want to do that, but our son played on Birdly game. It was a bit loud trying to communicate with the operator about our situation, so we didn't try to request a refund or credit. Just chalked it up to more money spent for this pricey experience. We considered going into the Mega Mart (which it what we were most curious about), but at $55 per person, we just couldn't justify the cost. I'm sure it was really cool, but I feel like the prices for everything here just put me in a bad mood-I don't like to feel taken advantage of. I wonder if this place will be able to sustain the high prices or will go the way of MGM's Grand Slam Canyon from the early 90's and have to rethink their approach to keep people coming in the doors. read more

As for the art, it's impressive. From a perspective of a hardworking, single mom with two boys, ages 11, and 10, and a 7-year-old girl, this place is a NO. Lots of information is missing from the websites (resulting in losing experiences for the price paid) and expensive. My son saw this YouTube video about this place, and when we were in Vegas, he kept bugging me to come here. And I scheduled it on the day of our departure. Our flight is at 10 pm. It said the Explorer passes would take about 2 hours online, so I purchased three passes for $89 each at 11 AM. We got there at 1 PM. 8 rides were included in the pass, and for 3 of them, I couldn't use them since adults had to go In with them, which would cost more money, and I won't be able to stand light and fast movement for my vertigo. So we ended up wasting 3 rides from each pass (that's a total of 9 rides). It would be best to mention all these on the website, so I could plan my activities accordingly. They mentioned the height and weight requirements, which I confirmed before purchasing the bundle. But height and weight were not the only things that mattered. They also mentioned adult riders needed in Liftoff but didn't mention that adults needed to be on the Wink World and Museum Fiasco. I already prepared not to use the Liftoff, but I was not able to use Liftoff, Wink World, and Museum Fiasco. To make matters worse, we had to SCAN the QR code to wait in line for every ride, which I didn't know. We stood there for 15 minutes on the first ride until another guest told us. The waiting line is 1 hour at least for every ride. When I scanned the QR and waited, the time would stay idle. When it said 20 min, it stayed 20 min for 50 min. And whenever u asked the staff about the waiting time, there was nothing they would do, and it didn't seem that they emphasized anyway. No refund. So my advice for parents with young kids is to get the game ur kids to want once u get there. Since I'm not a gamer and was spending money to make my kids happy, I'm not returning anytime soon. This place is great for parents with older teens and young adults. read more

What a fun place to go for all ages. They have things for the young ones and as well as the older ones. Theres mini museums/ exhibits here, arcades, tons of merchandising and food to snack and or dine. We didn't get to experience absolutely everything here, but we did check off a good amount of what they have to offer with just their level one package. Overall if you want to do more than a couple of things, I'd recommend buying level passes so you can get your money's worth. I'm not well versed on parking here, but I'm assume there is an area to do so. It was just easier getting an Uber/ Lyft. read more

AREA 15 (clearly a joke on where the actual alien's are kept in that other part of Nevada) is trippy, chill, and a complete vibe of a Vegas spot. Think of it like a giant mall with activities including a movie theater, barcade, eclectic museums, and a food court. You do not have to be 21+ to enter but some attractions inside are restricted especially the bars. Entering the space, it feels like you've entered into a nightclub or a warehouse wave. Neon lights everywhere, remnants from Burning Man on display, and an array of activities makes it a good spot to spend a few hours. If you're interested in any of the paid attractions, definitely consider purchasing entry in advance as lines can get long. Entry is free but everything inside is pay to play. Still, it's a great spot to check out if you've already seen the Strip or want something different than the usual casino atmosphere. read more

It is something different but not for all age groups. I went with family whose ages ranged from 4 to 75. The teenager had fun running all over the place and exploring. The youngest was overwhelmed and required a bit more handholding than usual so that limited our enjoyment. For the elderly, it was too dark and it is difficult to try some of the narrow starlight or crawl places. The store itself was great and wish it had more interactive pieces. We tried the zip line - the wait time was longer than the ride around so that was a bit of a let down. I like the idea behind it but its not for all ages. read more

They has a few immersive shows, bars and axe throwing which I did and enjoyed. So here is the thing, parking is free and entry is free but you do need tickets to get in, weird. With that my biggest concern was the mixing of vaccinated and unvaccinated because there was no checking for it. Great for some and scary for others. Oh well, let's go have fun. Didn't take much photos because it was hot and I was grouchy ha! I couldn't resist taking a photo of the rustic Las Vegas sign! thought that was pretty neat. I wasn't sure what this place was? but noticed these very very cool art pieces in the parking lot, so we stopped by to check it out. The pieces were made of different types of metal, super creative and interesting to look at. We realized after it was the entrance of the Area 15 theatre which offer additional art shows and entertainment experiences. I regret not going in, but thought the price was a bit too high for the crowd we were with. Next time mister and I are alone in Vegas, we plan to check it out. read more

They have so much faint amazing art pieces display outside but is too hot to stay outside to check them out. Instead we stay inside, and there are so many things to do. They have omega mart inside, you can purchase ticket onsite or in-advanced. They have place with arcades, axe throwing, cocktail bar, zip lining, and virtual golfing. We decide to try the virtualis be game to kill some zombies. It was so fun. They also have a cool boba place inside if you like a sweet drink. Area 15 is pretty bad ass! There is so much to see, I don't even know if it's possible to see it all in a day lol! We were only able to check out Omega Mart but that alone took 2.5-3 hours. I don't even know how to explain everything I saw either. Just know you're in for a great time! ** My GF & I have already talked about planning a trip to LV for a weekend just to specifically see everything here at Area 15; even before coming here this past weekend. Totally worth the visit to this immersive artsy experience! First visit and didn't know what to expect but certainly exceeded my expectations despite the high cost. Entry is free before 10pm, just booked a ticket for your group online. There are some cool art installations outside before even entering the building. However most exhibits inside require extra tickets and they aren't cheap. Entry to omega mart was $49 ($39 for locals) and it was worth it to check out the creative installations inside! There were a number of digital media / lights-based installation that cost $18-20, which I'm not sure is worth the cost on its own but the bar has some speciality drinks that include entry to various exhibits so make a stop there to hit up some savings! Great date night or friends night out or even corporate team outing. Really creatively designed and great experience! read more
