Arena Bar & Grill - home for thin crust lovers. And if you need a deal...then order on Sundays when a 16" is $14 all day. If love thin crust, then you need to make the trip out to Arena B&G at DuPont & Lima Roads. Arena does have a very good thin crust pizza. The crust is saltine cracker thick. The bottom is cooked so that it is flour white and soft...but stiff enough to pick up an individual square. The edges are cooked with a slight golden brown and crisp. The crust doesn't have any accents like butter, garlic or seasoning. Just plain pizza dough. The sauce the is slightly sweet and has a thicker consistency. Arena apllies a decent amount of sauce covers the pizza well and moistens it up a bit. I like the little bit stronger tomato flavor without a dominating spicy taste. There were enough toppings to create that single layer across the pizza. They aren't piled up such that you toppings on top of toppings on top of toppings. Just the right amount. The veggies were crisp and fresh. I would have liked to had more meat and more of an Italian favoring. Still good stuff! As for the cold pizza test...it was still moist enough to bite into the next day...the crispy crusts were still pleasantly crispy. The toppings tend to lose much of their zippy flavor. Though the veggies are still crisp. We ordered a side of cheese bread. The bread is a slice of Texas toast..so it is thick. They grill it so it has some nice buttery grill marks on the bottom. The edges are still soft. The inside breading has a nice buttery-garlic taste. The mozzarella is piled on nicely. Good cheesy taste overall! Overall, Arena Bar & Grill should be on your destination list if you are a thin crust lover. It's a busy place if you plan to dine in. Service is usually pretty friendly and spot on. We have only gotten takeout from Arena, but the order is always correct and hot. Their food is casual food, pizzas, burgers, wraps, and a nice selection of appetizers. Everything tastes great! It's a sports bar, with a lot of tvs, and I don't think they allow kids. read more

Lots of parking but small bar with little seating. We went on a Thursday for the Buffalo thigh sticks. We went early, and it wasn't packed, but the waitress was helpful, and the bar waitress had to help out and made it known. We all ordered thigh sticks, but they only had enough for 1 person, unfortunately! Food did come out hot and fresh, but it was like $70 with no alcohol beverages somehow! read more

We had to wait for a table, but only 5-10 minutes. Service was good for as busy as they were. We gave the mozzarella sticks and pickle fries a go to start. Both were delicious, crispy and deep fried just right. The "go to" is always their pizza and wings. The wings can be prepared in a couple different methods with several different sauce options. We attempted to call to order takeout no less than 10 times last night. Each time the phone rang and rang with no answer. We had our heart set on Arena pizza and wings so we decided to head there and order takeout from the bar. Took quite a while to get anyone to acknowledge us, which is fairly typical for this place unless you're a regular. We ordered beers to drink while we waited, which of course we wouldn't have had to do if they answered the phone. The pizza was decent, but not up to its normal standard. The crust was really soggy. The wings were good. The loaded fries were soggy and unsalted, pretty disappointing. We walked out over $100 lighter. Would suggest answering the phone for take out orders or at least have a voicemail set up to let people know you are not accepting orders via phone that day. read more

The Arena was also my go for good food. A gem on thenorth side. So today I decided to drive up to get lunch. Ordered the grilled tenderloin and fries well done to go. The sandwich featured 1/4 of a tenderloin WTF. Ordered extra onions and got maybe 4 rings. Fries were well done but barely luke warm. Please stop saying the wings are so great. They are not. I mean not even close. They are pretty good...not great. The food here is mediocre bar food. The service is mediocre. The atmosphere is weird, and it's hard to move around as the tables are all too close together. And just wait until you use the men's restroom. There's an attendant guy in there...I shit you not. He got in my face with a Walmart soap dispenser and said, "here you go sir." Thanks, I always struggle with the soap. Then he had a roll of paper towel, and ripped a piece off for me, then offered me flowers, cologne, or cigars. I wish I was making this up. Is this a 5-star restaurant in Chicago? Nope it's a crap neighborhood bar. Stay far away from this place. There are literally dozens of places around this side of town that you will have a better experience with. read more

I was in town with my husband to visit our in-laws and they brought us in because they said there were good wings. They weren't wrong. The wings were good and the cheesy, bacon fries were decent. I wish more restaurants would use nacho cheese on these types of things instead of melting shredded cheese that won't spread onto other fries. We wanted to order the 24 wings and get 3 sauces but our waitress told us they will only split an order of wings into 2 sauces. Fine, but unfortunate as well. I'd return but knowing these things I might go another route for food unless I'm just buying a few wings for myself instead of sharing with the table. If you order the Ribeye Steak Sandwich, make sure that you have someone close by that can perform the Heimlich maneuver. It is the toughest and chewiest piece of meat I have ever eaten. It looks good, but it has lots of thick cartilage and the actual meat is not easy to chew. Might be horse meat. I was part of a group of 5 that went to Arena Bar & Grill, Wednesday, 7/31/2024. We selected to sit on the patio as it was a nice evening. The food and service were above average. But there was a group of 10 men on the patio that were extremely loud and vulgar. After an hour of listening to the loud profanity, I politely asked if they could hold down the volume and use of profanity as we had a lady in our group. They said they would, which lasted all of two minutes. Then it got worse. I confronted them again and was told, "we come here every day, and if you don't like it, you can leave." Apparently, this group of infantile men are allowed to own the patio in the late afternoon and evening. Management appears to unrestrictedly enable the crude and extremely loud behavior and allows these infantile jerks to run off their customers. Well, they ran off my group, and we won't be returning. If the people running Arena allow such a group to "own" the patio area, then they don't deserve our patronage. I would not recommend sitting on Arena's patio between 4:30 & 8:00. read more

Love this local place. Finding a gem like this is perfection when on the road. It's in a strip mall in a place you wouldn't expect it to be. But it works. It's exactly what it should be. A place that the locals hang out and those that travel are lucky to find. A bar. Bar food. Bar atmosphere. The bartenders are real. My favorite is Amber. Eh this place is so so. It can be fun sometimes, but I wouldn't come here by choice on a busy night like the weekends. It gets crowded QUICK. It's also extremely difficult to get a drink. The bar area is what is always jam packed with people, there is no getting up there. Never had the food. I would say this place is probably best to come to during the week when it's not so packed. I went to arena to pick up a carry out order after several people from the area recommended the place for wings. It was a setup for disappointment. First of all, I walked in and waited at the bar for approximately 5 minutes before anyone spoke or helped me, nobody had on a mask so I was very uncomfortable. Once I was helped I didn't feel like staff were welcoming or friendly. The bar has a stench that smells like musty old cigarettes that's being covered up. We ordered 3 ordered of wings & shrimp. The food wasn't hot. My cold items like celery, ranch, and coleslaw was in containers with hot food so those items were hot! There was hair in two of the wing orders!! I went there on the tip that they had good wings. I would now disagree with that statement. They weren't terrible, I suppose, but there's better wings in town. It's a spacious place with a lot of seating and pool tables. I didn't care for the fact that they didn't have a beer list outside of whatever the server rattled off. I also got a house salad and it was basically some iceberg lettuce from a bag with some cheese and tomatoes cut up on it. Definitely left something to be desired. I doubt we'll go back. We weren't even there during a peak time and there was some douchebag regular that kept talking smack about the music that was being played on TouchTunes. Woke up with food poisoning from eating their food and mind you, I'm PREGNANT! My husband and I went just to get food after work, no drinks. Got super simple orders, chicken strips w/fries & a burger w/fries. We ordered over the phone, expected our food to be ready by the time we arrived and it wasn't. We waited inside for at least another 40 min. Asked the waitresses (who were NOT attentive) if our food was ready. They constantly dismissed it. Finally we saw a takeout order sitting on the corner of their counter and asked if it was ours. Long story short, it was our food...cold, soggy, clearly done a long time ago but was left to just sit for about an hour after we called. Got home, ate our food and woke up with severe diarrhea, body aches and chills, throwing up, and fever. Never will we ever order food from there again or visit this place after a long day of work. And mind you, I'm pregnant and food poisoning does have negative affects on my unborn child. Horrible service as well! I'd give ZERO stars if I could! read more

Well, I don't know what to say. They came highly recommended for their pizza. Who isn't always looking for awesome pizza? We're sorta new here so we were happy to try it out. The pizza was gross. Would have preferred Totino's frozen party pizza! Thin crust, which isn't usually a problem but this was like ... umm ... thick, limp felt? Like a floormat? A towel? Absolutely no chew at all, no crispness or bite whatsoever. The tomato sauce is thick and dark and sweet. Our server was friendly and helpful with suggestions, although they were bad suggestions lol. I have been here twice recently. Funny enough, both times were in between a gap between a wedding ceremony and reception out north. First off - if you are dressed up for a wedding the regulars will surely stare. And during the afternoon on a Saturday you may get some cat calls from bikers... It looks like a typical sports bar/biker hangout. It is conveniently located just off highway 3 so it is an easy stop for many people traveling through on motorcycles or North Fort Wayne residents wanting to watch a game. Tons of pool tables and an abundance of tables. The food is typical bar food from what I have tried. Which will always taste good after a couple of drinks. Now onto the drinks....strong...and cheap. I like it. Their long islands are delicious and perfectly strong that you don't realize it until the end. Arena is definitely not a place for a classy night out. But if you want cheap beer, pool tables, and I believe they have karaoke - this may be your spot. read more

This place is unusually busy. I say unusually because it's kind of divey, nothing special, but always seems to be packed. One thing, people who live in the area like to come here and a few other places to stay close to home. They make good food here - their pizza is my fave. As for the drinks, hmmm... just order beer or a simple mixed drink. Don't try to get all complicated and order a martini like I did, because what you get back will be a mystery drink that ends up sitting there, unless you come with a recipe in hand. Pauley's wings and the best thin crust pizza for cheap. Beer is cheaper than bdubs. Geriatric karaoke on Thursdays is the best. They can't figure out the TV situation when there's a high profile game, usually leaving the TVs on something dumb like Lifetime or stale to infomercials. OR they put the same game on all of their TVs. They look at you like you have 3 heads if you ask to have a channel changed. The owner's dumb girlfriend likes to scream when she's not getting attention. If they had the awareness of what they have showing on their TVs they get 5 stars.
