Another good trip to Union Social. Roxy did a great job welcoming us and making us feel at home. Ayla worked hard to serve us well. She was very patient with members of the party that struggled with decision making. On this occasion we sat in the middle of the facility. This is the most open...and unfortunately the loudest area. It was so loud on this night that we struggled to have dinner conversation. The fry flight was fun for the party to sample. The tots were nice and crisp and meaty. The sweet potato fries had a bold sweet potato taste but were disappointingly limp - first time they have been this way. The flat fries were uniquely thin and crispy. The cheese sauce was a unique blend of different cheeses that didn't taste like cheese. More of a smooth, mild and somewhat plain sauce. The ketchup had a nice bold tomato taste. The ranch dip was fairly unique with very faint ranch and oil taste. My wife loved the Southwest bowl. Very fresh and with lots of healthy add ins. The marinaded chicken was very moist and seasoned nicely. The guacamole was very tasty. The short rib beef stroganoff had an outstanding beef taste. The meat was moist and tender - easily pulled apart. The sauce was very light so that it let the natural beef juices dominate the taste. No heavy sour creme taste here. Front room was nice but we sat in the back room. Exposed wires in the south wall and a detached bar indicated they weren't quite done with construction. Waitress was pleasant. Wife had steak and pasta and I had jambalaya. Hers was nice but mine tasted ok. Sausage ok but the sliced chicken which was strange. Like deli style. Appetizers were ricotta cheese and a steak egg roll. Both ok. Dessert was a toll house cookie topped with ice cream. Disappointed there. $120 for two was a bit much. Left $20 tip. read more

We haven't been here since it was Teds, so I made a reservation and we went! I liked the layout and look of the place much more than Teds. Reservation was on Saturday night. Place was busy, but not slammed. Greeted promptly by a nice young lady whose name I can not remember! We were seated in the overflow room. Ordered our drinks. Margarita for me, blue moon for hubby. Came out fine. Put in our food order a while later. Saw lots of folks we recognized and said hello. A nice gentleman brought our food out in a respectable amount of time. Our server disappeared for quite a while but we weren't wanting anything so it was fine. My hubby said his burger was good. The salad was good too. Salmon cooked nicely. The manager popped over and we told him the same. Everything was good. Great? Amazing? Will I be busting down the doors next weekend? No. But I also wouldn't mind going again. Overall, we like the hometown feel, renovations, and the food. Just wouldn't be our first pick. read more

The newest spot on the north side of Fort Wayne! So much better than the previous restaurant. All the food that I have had has been delicious. Generous portion sizes, prices aren't terrible. A great bar selection. The renovations they have done to this place are awesome. Our server has been very attentive and friendly every time. The burger is a good size and very flavorful. All the salads are large and the dressings have been homemade. The chicken Milanese could use a bit more sauce but overall very good experience. read more

Went there for the pastrami sandwich. It was 3pm. Only serve a limited menu from 2-4pm. Wouldn't come if I knew. We only stayed for a drink. Service wasn't good. After we ordered , server was talking to another staff member, that was showing her stuff on her phone. Drinks came about 10minutes later. Ordered old fashion and a bottle of Coors light. I usually tip 25% but only did 10%. And that was generous!!!! I came for the pastrami sammie. I don't think I'll be back because of the service. read more

We loved the food and the service. This has the same issue as Ted's did the noise is so loud from other diners, etc you cannot hear each other talking. We moved to see if it was better in the bar and it was a little bit. Need noise acoustical tiles on the ceiling to reduce the noise. We will come back but only if we are outside or watching a game in the bar as the food was exceptional and Grace was a great server. read more

Visited for bunch and we had a pretty good experience! They were able to seat our group of five pretty quickly. We really enjoyed how everything looked! It was elevated and casual; definitely a place you'd want to hang out. Our server was fine, but the manager was awesome. We thought the food was pretty good, but the menu wasn't as friendly for vegetarians. We did get the califlower wings which were amazing! We also enjoyed the pretzel bites, smashburger, chilaquiles, shrimp and grits and avocado toast. I would love to come back for dinner and try that menu. read more

The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and chill -- the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable. Our waitress was super helpful and friendly. We started with the wings, and honestly, I was skeptical when I first saw them... but wow, they turned out to be amazing! Definitely a "don't judge a book by its cover" moment. The smash burger was an absolute hit, and the Italian hot sandwich was also really good. The old fashioned was made perfectly -- just the way it should be. And let's not forget the details: the ranch dressing was incredible, and the sweet potato fries were spot-on. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes! read more

I'd like to review the food. But after waiting an hour for our food and not getting any food, we decided to leave. It's obvious that the kitchen and servers do not have their act together. We watched people who were seated 30 minutes after us, get their order, finish eating and leave. Fort Wayne is a competitive market for restaurants. Stopped in unexpectedly for a late lunch, early dinner with a work associate and immediately felt the laid back, casual yet up scale feel. As I pulled in to park, the exterior is bright white, clean and very inviting. As I entered, the hostess was very professional and courteous as was the General Manager while at the reception area. Once seated, I ordered an Alakazam (basic Martini made with Lychee and Orange Bitters) and my guest ordered the Bella a Blueberry Martini (I later ordered a Old Union, their take on an Old Fashioned with Cocoa Bitters), the drinks were a nice twist on Old Cocktails and a good start to the meal. For our Appetizer, we chose the Firecracker Shrimp, a very flavorful sweet and slightly spicy medium sized shrimp and more than adequate portion to share. Dinners ordered were Jambalaya and Chicken Milanese Pasta Dish, both were very hearty portions of fresh tasting, well prepared, seasoned and plated entrees were both felt we would easily order again. All in all, Union Social is most definitely a place I look forward to revisiting on return trips to the area, they get a well deserved and earned 5 stars! read more

Arrived for brunch at 11 am on Sunday morning. Brunch menu is very limited. No omelets and they were out of fresh fruit! How can you be out of fresh fruit when you first open? We then placed our orders and waited, and waited and waited for our food to arrive. Finally at noon, one hour after placing our orders, two out of three of the meals arrived. Espresso Martini tasted like watered down sugar with watered down coffee. The steak fries were cold, soggy and obviously come frozen before prep. Firecracker shrimp tasted like mayonnaise and was on a bed of dry cole slaw mix. The special sauce for the smash burger also tasted like mayonnaise. The ranch for my salad tasted like nothing or maybe sour cream. Very disappointing. read more
