Stumbled onto this cute little spot after a yelp event. $6 margs all night, don't mind if I do. The service was very quick I was thrilled. The prices were really good too. The bartenders were really nice. Its a great place for a 6 people dinner party. The trio mini empanadas were really good. I wasn't expecting a lot because of the cost tbh. But I was very excited about the beef one very good. Beef, Cheese and chicken. They were tiny tiny well worth the price when you're eating on a budget. ::bathroom alert: Super clean! Love the decor! Lots of toliet paper. Wow those empanadas were fresh and hot!!!! Get chicken or beef. The cheese was just ok.

I am hard to impress when I dine out, but Lady Arepa was genuinely one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. I owe it to my server, Manuel, who was such a gem. He's super friendly, takes the time to explain the menu & different arepas. He checks in to make sure you have everything you need, but gives you space. Huge shoutout to him!!! The food was also really good. The Tostones with Chicharron was delicious. The arepas were also great and not stingy with the meat filling, I definitely want to come back to try all the different kind of arepas. The cocktails were amazing too!! The interior is also modern and stunning, great vibe - which is important to me. I also really like that they had multiple big screen TVs and they were high-quality too, they played the game during our dinner, which was a huge plus. Highly recommend this gem!!

I heard about this place so I went to go check it out. Walking inside I see nice decor, bar seats, many tables to dine at and three large screens. This wouls be a great place to watch sporting events at, but I'm not sure if they play the sound like a sports bar would. Anyways, once seated we looked over the menu. I asked for recommendations and the waiter went over the menu which was nice. He suggested the arepa de queso and arepa de choclo. I ordered the mixed proteins in the arepa de queso for myself which was a great choice and filling. For table appetizers were ordered such as the street corn, and guacamole tostones. Both were really delicious and great to share. After the entire meal was finished, I was so stuffed that I couldn't eat another bite so no dessert was ordered.

Amazing food, can't go wrong with any of the arepas. My favorite was the arepa con queso with the chicharrón. We got the mid week specials with the $5 sangria. Guac with the tostones was so good. Service was very attentive. They let us switch seats due to the sun being in our eyes in the outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is perfect for a nice warm day. Love the lights at night as well. I will say- this location is next to the train in Astoria so you will hear the train, but that definitely did not detract from the experience.

I was super excited to try this location since I had already gone to the one in Jackson Heights. I decided to throw my birthday brunch with my friends and family since I knew the food would not disappoint. The decor inside is awesome for pictures and they have a beautiful bar and always great music playing in the background. You cannot beat their brunch prices since it is $20 for a bottomless sangria, margarita, Bellini or mimosa for 90 minutes. They have a vast selection arepas, calentado or burger that range from $15-$20. Definitely in the budget. The calentado was a pretty big size and very filling. The arepa rellena was so delicious. The drinks were flowing and our server had our glasses filled up every minute of the brunch. I cannot wait to come here in the summertime to enjoy their outside patio.

The arepas are fantastic, the best in the neighborhood. I wasn't sure how much I liked arepas but it turns out that I really, really do. I had simply never had versions that were this good before. For my first timers, one arepa is more than enough as an entree. Especially if you order apps, like the delicious Deditos de Queso (basically Colombian mozzarella sticks). The arepa varieties are interesting. The Arepo de Queso (with sirloin) was my favorite. It feels like the old Xzibit meme, "dawg, I heard you like cheese..." because they literally stuff your arepa full of cheese then pour layer upon layer of cheese on top of it. I also added avocado. It was a delight. Though less cheesy (seriously how could anything be more cheesy?) the Arepa de Choclo was also really good. It was slightly sweet and definitely giving cornbread vibes. The atmosphere at Arepa Lady is thumping. It has a full bar, dim lighting, and throbbing bass. It's a cool and fun place to start a weekend night.

Delicious food served in spacious indoor and outdoor spaces!! The Arepa Chocolos are awesome with steak or chicharron and yucca fries. Even better with egg for brunch. Perfect with your choice of Colombian brews. Service is phenomenal, everyone we encountered is amazing. Thanks to Christian and George for the memorable dining experience! Definitely be back for more!!

Enjoyed a brunch with friends at Arepa Lady. The food was delicious. One of my friends is Colombian and she enjoyed the arepas, which is a testament to the authenticity. We enjoyed the bottomless brunch, which was a good deal; drinks were $15 and bottomless was only a couple dollars more, so it was a no brainer! The ambiance is also very cute. We took advantage of the beautiful patio seating.

The food & drinks are awesome! We ordered the Colombian Burger, Patacón Sandwich and Arepa with Carne Asada. I would definitely be back to this spot!

I have been to the Astoria and Jackson Heights locations multiple times, and I can attest both are solid 5/5s. When I go to Arepa Lady, I typically indulge myself with an arepa de queso (I usually get mixed- chorizo, carne asada, pollo). The meat is always perfectly cooked, seasoned and is as juicy as one could ask. The arepa itself is always perfectly done, crisp on the outside and warm & cheesy on the inside. I can easily say the arepa de queso from Arepa Lady is my single favorite meal in New York City. In addition to the arepas, the sides I've tried (maduros & tostones) are consistently great! The maduros are always ripe, a little crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. I have NEVER gotten an under ripe or dry maduro from Arepa Lady. The tostones are also perfectly done- no notes, just delicious. If you are looking for an amazing flan, then look no further! Arepa Lady doesn't just excel in arepas, their flan is also the very best in New York City. The flan is perfectly sweetened with a perfect soft, yet firm consistency. I rarely pass on dessert at Arepa Lady. The service at Arepa Lady is always fast and friendly (at both Jackson Heights and Astoria locations). The only deciding factor in which location in Queens to go to depends on the vibe you are looking for. If you are looking for a cozy vibe, go to the Jackson Heights location. If you want a modern vibe with a bar and televisions, go to the Astoria location. Bonus: The Astoria Arepa Lady also has a $35 per person bottomless brunch. I challenge you to find a better deal for both the quality of food and sangria!

If you're after a club vibe with your arepa, you have found your haven. This place has a loud party vibe on weekends with an in house DJ playing. While not your average arepa spot, it's enjoyable and unique. Something to take out of towners to for a real NY experience. Food: 4/5. The food is fast casual, and very tasty. Huge portions, and two arepas filled me up. Drinks: 4/5. Not the most subtle but they were tasty And fairly priced. Service: 3/5. Took a bit longer than expected after the faster service at the food trucks. However they were nice Vibe: 4/5. Very unique and like a party. Something for a nice change of pace

If you want arepas this is a good place to come to. Came for brunch-- I got the arepa rellena which comes with grilled onions, cheese, chorizo, and sweet plantains. It was very good and filling. The yuca fries are also very good. They have bottomless brunch for 90 minutes, I got the passion fruit sangria which was good-- a little tart but good. The servers don't even wait until you are done with your drink before they are refilling it which was great! Music was good, space was nice, clean and well lit.

Made reservations for 4, it was only 3 of us. Kind of empty in a Friday. But it was the Friday after thanksgiving. Really cute place they even have outdoor seating for the nicer weather. Nice date night atmosphere. Music was 10 out of 10. I never really had Colombian food so wasn't sure what to expect. We order a platter with different meats and some assorted empanadas. I tried the beef it was shredded and it came with a nice cilantro kind of dip. The empanadas also came with a variation of sauces. The meat platter had chicken. Steak, chorizo and chicharron. We had margaritas they weren't that strong we also had shots.

The food, desserts & beverages are traditional Colombian & everything was well seasoned, proportioned & delicious. My Carne Asada (Grilled Steak) was perfectly cooked, the Chimichurri Sauce could have been prepared with less olive oil but the ingredients were tasty. The Arroz con Pollo (Chicken & Rice) was savory & well cooked. I especially enjoyed the Coconut Lemonade with real shreds of coconut. The place is small & intimate but we can get a group or family in there. There's also outdoor seating. The staff was polite, friendly & attentive. My compliments to the chefs. The food was over priced and the portions were small. We ordered two bandeja paisa with the grilled steak...the minute the food arrived, I was afraid to eat the steak as it looked more like grilled chicken because it was so light in color and dry. I picked at the bland food. We decided to take whatever, I didn't eat home to give to my dog, but the truth is, I chucked it in the trash can outside on 1st and corner of 84th because it wasn't even worthy for consumption by my dog. Neverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr will I eat there again. To think I love Colombian Cusine, but Dulce Vida Latin Bistro is not good at all and definitely not worth the money. I was so pissed we spent $112.00 to eat crappy food in today's shitty economy. Serves me right...should have drove to Queens to eat delicious Colombian food but hubby didn't want to drive! Stay away....not good, if you know you know and I'm a latina!

We arrived around 6:20-6:30 p.m. There were plenty of open tables, but we weren't seated until much later. During that time, the male waiter seemed more concerned with other tasks. He was seating a woman whose party of six hadn't yet arrived, going back and forth to the kitchen, handing out receipts, and collecting menus. After all of that, he finally approached us--not to seat us--but to ask, "How long are you going to take?" I replied, "Sir, we're here to eat." He responded that the side tables were for people watching the game. I explained that we were there to dine, as this is a restaurant. Even after we were seated, he avoided our table completely. He took the order of a table that had been seated after us while we continued waiting. About 20 minutes later, a female waitress noticed we had not been helped and took over our table. She was attentive, professional, and the only reason we received service. After placing our order, we waited about an hour for our entrées. The food was also underwhelming. The Papa a la Huancaína came with an excessive amount of sauce and very few potatoes. The Ceviche Mixto lacked the bright citrus flavor that ceviche should have. My grandmother, who is very familiar with Peruvian cuisine, found it bland, and even after taking it home we couldn't improve it. The Bistec Encebollado was slightly too salty for our taste. The beans simply weren't to my liking, though that's a matter of personal preference. Another issue is the dining room layout. The seating is extremely tight, to the point where it feels like you're almost elbow-to-elbow with the tables next to you, making the experience feel cramped. Overall, this visit was disappointing. Between the slow and inattentive service, the long wait for food, the cramped seating, and several disappointing dishes, the experience did not justify the visit. The female waitress deserves recognition for stepping in when we had been overlooked, but unfortunately she couldn't make up for the rest of the experience.
