Okay, so there are bathrooms but parking is street or general city parking. Bathrooms are non-binary as well. The pricing was great. A good amount of food and it was tasty. I saw some mention of these arepas jot being Venezuelan but the people at the counter were saying they were Cuban. So they may be different then Venezuelan style. I am not Venezuelan so I can't say if it's traditional or not. But as a Latina that grew up in Central America I can say it sure is tasty! As a Salvadorian the arepas tasted like a thinner version of our tortillas made with Maseca (corn flour) so I loved it. Loaded with stuff in the middle the meat was seasoned so deliciously I love sauces and they willingly gave me so many it was awesome! So tasty and I got the arepa with plátanos (plantains!!!) OMG that is the key to my heart are delicious plantains. We got the side order of avocado and it's those big avocados so they really tend to lack flavor although the look beautiful. Also got the Cuban sandwich (was nothing a pressed sandwich). Being Central American we love guava paste in our pastries so just a heads up that the empanadas don't come with jams or jellies just cheese. Cute restaurant and air conditioned, but it is rather tight quarters in there so if it was full you'll be bumping elbows for sure. But worth it because the food is tasty. I don't even know how I ended up spending $30 at a relatively low-priced place, but every dollar was worth it. The arepas were so delicious and if you don't know what a tequeño is, take this as a sign to order and find out! Wandering through the neighborhood in June as restaurants and businesses were just beginning to open up again, we were delighted to find this little areperia. My mother-in-law is from Venezuela and arepas have definitely become a comfort food. The restaurant was fully prepared for the pandemic with hand sanitizer located at the front counter and on all of the tables. We ordered tequenos, one arepa pabellon (this is my standard arepa order -- they tend to be at every areperia and I love the mix of flavors. Shredded beef, black beans, Venezuelan cheese, and sweet plaintains = chef's kiss), and one arepa lomo negro - steak arepa with avocado and cheese. The food was excellent. The vibes were super chill. Towards the end of our meal, someone in the back of the house suffered a medical emergency. It wound up being the woman at the front's husband. The woman was obviously quite distraught, but as her husband was loaded into an ambulance and all of the patrons in the restaurant were working to help her close everything down, she was still concerned with getting her last order out to someone who was waiting.
