    Creole breakfast

This was on our "must try" list before leaving Miami. All I can say is.."omg!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is cute and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food and service was excellent. I got the Creole breakfast and my sister got a bacon and egg arepas. Make sure you ask for redish crème sauce ( I forgot to ask what it was called). Oh...and the Cafe Cubano with sugar is fire!!

Okay, so there are bathrooms but parking is street or general city parking. Bathrooms are non-binary as well. The pricing was great. A good amount of food and it was tasty. I saw some mention of these arepas jot being Venezuelan but the people at the counter were saying they were Cuban. So they may be different then Venezuelan style. I am not Venezuelan so I can't say if it's traditional or not. But as a Latina that grew up in Central America I can say it sure is tasty! As a Salvadorian the arepas tasted like a thinner version of our tortillas made with Maseca (corn flour) so I loved it. Loaded with stuff in the middle the meat was seasoned so deliciously I love sauces and they willingly gave me so many it was awesome! So tasty and I got the arepa with plátanos (plantains!!!) OMG that is the key to my heart are delicious plantains. We got the side order of avocado and it's those big avocados so they really tend to lack flavor although the look beautiful. Also got the Cuban sandwich (was nothing a pressed sandwich). Being Central American we love guava paste in our pastries so just a heads up that the empanadas don't come with jams or jellies just cheese. Cute restaurant and air conditioned, but it is rather tight quarters in there so if it was full you'll be bumping elbows for sure. But worth it because the food is tasty. Big portions too, I shared my arepa with my mom and we both left sooo full! Overall: Good food Good price Fast service Friendly service Street parking Bathrooms (non-binary) By lots of things AMAZING FRENCH FRIES!!!!

Friendly staff and tasty food! Reasonably priced arepas that are stuffed to the brim! The shredded beef is sooo flavorful.

Tiny little café offering a yummy taste of Venezuela. The arepas are pretty large, like 2x the size of typical arepa, so it's worth the higher price. And so delicious! Pabellón Arepa: This is one hearty arepa! A thick layer of squeaky cheese starts as the delicious base. Like seriously, this is a lot of cheese and I love it. Then tons of delicious shredded beef, kinda like ropa vieja but without the peppers. Some black beans for extra protein. And a few yummy sweet plantains. All against the hearty and crispy arepa. Reina Pepiada Arepa: A must for avocado lovers. The filling is like a chicken salad, but the binding agent is avocado and blended herbs. And then there's some fresh avocado slices beside the chicken salad. Very fresh tasty. Though I think I like the pabellón a little more. Tequeño: I really can't get enough of these things. Squeaky and somewhat gooey cheese inside a fluffy dough that is deep fried. It's kina like a bready mozzarella stick. Great appetizer.

I had asked a local Uber driver their favorite Venezuelan arepa and this was suggested. The shrimp arepa had huge butterfly shrimp that was deep fried and avocado. While it looked appealing the meal was rather under seasoned and their sauces accompanying had no flavor. Definitely suggest you look elsewhere and go to Doggie's The service was good but prices too high for a non-authentic arepa Made for tourists

Saw a new spot on the beach with vegan and gluten free options that looked decently priced a month ago so I had to check it out. If you know me I love arepas and I can never get enough of them. After a nice workout on the beach and swim in the Atlantic I needed a good little bite and this restaurant caught my eye before stepping into a restaurant I usually hit up, so I checked it out. Nice little outdoor seating and inside a pretty clean set up as well. It was empty when I enter so I was catered to immediately by the cashier. I ordered a veggie arepa I didn't get her name but she was sweet and let me sample the black bean soup. My order was supposed to take like 10 mins so I told her I'd be at Sriracha House but expecting to return to pick up my plate. Unfortunately I took too long in line at Sriracha but she was thoughtful enough to bring my order to me because she didn't want it to get cold. The arepa was very good too I enjoyed it savory and the side of vinaigrette added to the flavor. So if you're not vegan but you got vegan friends this is a spot to go to. Food is pretty good, nice atmosphere, good people I definitely will be coming back

Super cute little sandwich shop! The lady at the counter was super sweet and helpful explaining what things were to us. We ordered 2 different arepas and the arepa bites. Everything was hot, massive, and delicious. I needed a fork to get through the first bit before I could pick it up and shove it in my face. Very filling! We also had a maracuya smoothie that was amazing.

    Pabellón ($10.90)

A sandwich with sweet plantain inside?! Get out of here! This was my first time trying Venezuelan food/arepas and let me tell you I was NOT disappointed. I got the Pabellon ($10.90) which was super delicious. I will say it is a bit difficult to eat because it is stuffed with goodness. And while they provided a fork, I relied on my good ol pair of hands to do the job! I also got an empanada which was different from any empanadas I've tried before. The dough was more hard/crispy but it tasted great nonetheless. All the food was freshly made and hot! The place was clean and pleasant in aesthetic. The staff were nice and the customer service was great. I definitely recommend this place!!

I don't even know how I ended up spending $30 at a relatively low-priced place, but every dollar was worth it. The arepas were so delicious and if you don't know what a tequeño is, take this as a sign to order and find out! The spot is not on the best street, so definitely recommend during the day...we went at night and the crowd that walked by while we were trying to eat (there is currently no indoor seating because of Covid, but that might be different as time passes). We got a few wackos giving us a hard time, so definitely would return during the day next time.

I think I am a little biased as I LOVE arepas, but I also like to think that I am a good judge of a good tasting arepas. The arepas at Arepas & Sand Wish are DELICIOUS. I loved the little establishment that felt like home. The ambiance is upbeat and fun. It is a great spot to eat at any time of the day. Highly recommend.

    Arepa carne asada
    Daniela R.

I went here today and the owner was really nice. He helped us pick out what to eat because we were a bit indecisive. I got the carne asada arepa and my boyfriend got the lomo negro. We both loved our arepas. The guasacaca sauce was to die for. I loved it and I wish I could've bought a bottle of it. Would definitely come back. COVID: The place was really clean and everyone was wearing a mask.

The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful outdoor setup. The lavender accents, the adorable decorative bicycle, and the refreshing mist made such a difference on a hot Miami summer day. It's the only restaurant on the block offering that kind of cooling system, and it's such a thoughtful touch. The outdoor seating is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for 2 groups of 4 without feeling crowded. As soon as I walked inside, I was greeted by a warm, cozy atmosphere. Everything was spotless the dining area, the simple yet elegant table settings, and the beautiful pastry display. You can tell they take pride in every detail!! What truly made the experience unforgettable was the customer service. The owner was there personally welcoming guests and made me feel right at home. Everyone had genuine smiles, and before I had even ordered, she generously offered me a complimentary cachapa. That level of hospitality is rare and speaks volumes about how much they care about their customers. The energy of this place is incredible warm, welcoming, and full of heart. It's the kind of restaurant that makes you want to come back, not just for the food but for the experience. I'm so happy I found this hidden gem, and I'll definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

I use to highly recommend the small Venezuelan hole in the wall with great pastry and savory options. However, the service is not worth it. For example today I came by myself walked inside to ask if I could sit at the empty tables outside. The server came a few minutes after with a menu, I tried to make it easy so I said "I am just having chicken tenders and a cup of water please". She said "great so you've been here before". After 10 minutes of sitting alone I walked inside and politely asked for a cup of water. She responded "it's free I'll bring it when I'm ready". So I went back outside sat by myself and a gentlemen sat him self and ordered an espresso. The server made his espresso brought it to him while I am still sitting on the hot side walk without a cup of water. She brought the cup of water while I was getting up to leave. At this point it had been 17 minutes. I told her I was leaving and she said I have to stay for the chicken tenders. I said I would have loved to but the lack of service and disrespect made me loose my appetite. She then went on to call me "Pathetic". I didn't respond I've been in the restaurant industry for 27 years have a quite successful restaurant here in Miami Beach. I don't know the servers name she never told me. But if anyone "owners or investors" want to look into the matter I highly recommend it. She had dark curly hair, was over wait and wearing glasses. Calling a guest"/paying customer "Pathetic" is unacceptable.

As I waited in line to order, I perused the menu, which included breakfast items, coffee, and a variety of sandwiches. Even though there were only a couple of customers ahead of me in line, each meal was made-to-order before the next order was taken. This meant that the staff prepared about half a dozen coffees, a couple of smoothies, and several meals before it was my turn to order. When I finally placed my order for a Cubano sandwich, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be prepared.
