We were thrilled to find a new Venezuelan spot just north of the Twin Cities! This is perfect for those days when we don't feel like making our own Venezuelan goodies. We had two adults with an appetite and this was far too much food for us. Tequeños: classic, cheese-filled pastry, paired beautifully with the guasacaca sauce (green sauce) Cachapa: sweet corn paired with salty cheese and pork belly, messy to eat but a glorious combo Arepa: this was filled to the brim, just like street vendors in VZ, however the base did get soggy making it difficult to eat Empanada de Queso: crunchy and full of cheese, a staple for us Sweet plantains: basic but exactly what you'd expect from fried sweet plantains Note this location has limited seating and feels more designed for take away/take out. Considering it's primarily street food, it would be perfect after a couple of pints at the brewery next door. Definitely worth trying. We plan to return and try the sandwiches, burgers, and hot dogs.

We went to check out the new restaurant. Excited to see arepa in the suburbs. Colorful restaurant and mural on their wall. Restaurant has tables for dine in, not for large parties. Order at the counter and they'll call you once it's ready. I ordered the arepa combo, you get 2 for $20. One chicken and one beef, side of yucca fries. Must eat them while warm, otherwise it's hard when cold. Beef empanada were ok, the breading was not crispy. The cheese on the arepa doesn't melt and you get alot stuffed in the arepa. They gave me a green sauce, this was their official sauce. Wished I asked for hot sauce.

Delicious arepas and yucca fries! Much better quality and price than the competition in Minneapolis.

Crasqui isn't a traditional Venezuelan restaurant--it's a love letter. A tribute to memory,…read moretradition, and the flavors that shaped Chef-Owner Soleil's story. A political refugee from Venezuela, Chef Soleil translates pieces of her upbringing into elevated dishes that feel deeply personal. Each plate draws from the people, places, and moments that formed her, quietly transporting you to Crasqui--the tiny island off Venezuela's coast with sandy beaches and clear blue waters that inspired the name. Our Christmas Eve dinner was special not just for what was on the table, but for how it felt: warm, unhurried service, thoughtful pacing, and an atmosphere that invited you to stay awhile. Our table had the pleasure to indulge in: - Seafood Empanadas: calamari, shrimp, white fish & squid ink. - Rompe Colchón: shrimp ceviche in pineapple-habanero leche de tigre with house-made cassava chips. - Croquetas de Chorizo: potato fritters stuffed with leeks, garlic & chistorra chorizo. - Venezuelan Christmas Dinner: *Hallaca (corn dough filled with pork, beef & chicken wrapped in smoked plantain leaves); *Pernil (slow-cooked pork leg in malta & red wine); *Pan de Jamón (bread with raisins, smoked ham, green olives & cane sugar syrup); *Ensalada de Gallina (chicken salad). - Mochima: Mahi-Mahi stuffed with crab, parmesan & herb crust, sambuca beurre blanc, cilantro oil. Luxurious in texture and deeply satisfying, with each element clearly considered and working in quiet harmony. This dish was memorable for all the right reasons. - Dulce de Lechoza: Green Papaya dessert served with Vanilla Ice Cream. - Christmas Hug: their version of a Holiday old-fashioned. - Mulled Christmas wine What truly sets Crasqui apart: it is the only Venezuelan fine-dining restaurant in Minnesota, one of just three in the U.S., the only Venezuelan rum bar in the Midwest, and proudly 100% Latina & female-owned! Definitely a restaurant worth adding to your dinner rotation!

Came here for a date night with my wife. The date night special was $55 per person for a 3 course…read moremeal. We ordered the Arugula salad, the arepitas, yuca arancinni and a white fish dinner. The only dish that wasnt superb was the arancinni. It ate a little dry. Everything else was flavorful and delicious. My standout was the white fish it. Although it could use some more sauce, the fish was well seasoned and yummy. The restaurant itself was a little warm. Given the glass exterior and the angle of the sun, it was a little uncomfortable for most of the dinner. Service is good. Food was quick and hot. Overall good experience. Will probably return in the winter :)
