Always a wonderful treat when in Union City! Fresh & amazingly tasty empanada, sweet treats, and assorted sandwiches & bread. The staff is always helpful in picking out the best items to try.

Feliz Cumpleaños! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a birthday cake from Argentina Bakery! You won't be disappointed! My favorite Argentinian bakery by far!

After having their cakes at various friend's birthday celebrations over the years I finally had the chance to visit the café in person. It is a small space, but they utilize every inch! Aside from delicious cakes and bakery goods, they sell finger sandwiches and empanadas if you are looking for something savory. I had two vegetarian empanadas (there were FIVE vegetarian options in all) that were really good and filling. The cheese empanada had a sharper cheese than what is typical for an empanada, which was a nice change and left me wanting more. The broccoli empanada was very unique and the perfect balance to the cheese empanada. The crust was flaky and perfect. The only change I would make would be to include a sauce with the empanadas.

Hands down the best bakery in Jersey city!! Their cakes are out of the world. Tasted them at a friend's birthday party and couldn't get over it. Their pastries, churros, empanadas are amazing as well. I wanted to get a birthday cake and I had ombre blue rosette cake in mind. Even though I called them in the last minute, they were they were so humble and got me every detail that I wanted. The cake was just how I pictured!! Vanilla cake with dulce de leche and strawberry jam- thats the best cake combination ever! The staff are so polite and friendly no matter how crowded the bakery is. Down to earth must be the right word for their service!

This is a hidden gem in Union City. The bakery sweets are all delicious but especially pay attention to anything that has dulce de leche, or custard, or guava. It's all so good. They also serve hot espresso, cappuccino, and Yerba maté! Their bread pudding is extremely thick and rich. They sell little sandwiches as well. I particularly find their Argentinian Empanadas (baked) incredibly special. They have several varieties to choose from. I like picking out many different kinds and taking them home and popping in my oven (or microwave in a hurry) and enjoying for snacks at home. I also like their fresh made cakes. I bought 2 for my baby shower and everyone raved over them!

One of my favorite bakery, this cake is so delicious. So many options of treats and so much more. Just be advised parking is a little difficult but is worth it.

Best sandwiches, great coffee, supremely delicious pastries. This is where we go when we need sandwiches and treats for a party.

Franklin, the owner, was very nice and steered me to some great choices. I got the beef and cheese and the beef chimichurri, both outstanding. I am saving my guava and cheese one for later but it also looks good. While the empanadas were delicious, the generous portions of sauce complemented quite nicely and kicked it up to another flavor level. The pink Siracha is creamy with a kick. The chimichurri sauce is very fresh with lots of garlic. You can pick up to three empanada and two sauce flavors for the meal. The store looks empty but if the door is open, walk in and someone will be out from the back. I had dogs in the car so i waited outside and Franklin was nice enough to bring the order out, as well as with my sunglasses which i had left on the counter. I will definitely be ordering from here many times to come.

The empanadas are made to order so expect a little wait. I thought it was on the expensive side, but it was a better empanada than some other places that barely put any meat. Flavors were good - next time i'd probably go with just cheesesteak and chimi sauce. Other things were just okay, probably wouldn't try them again. Friendly service, I'd stop by again when the craving hits.

I've never eaten anything that I didn't like. My faves are: milhojas, breakfast croissant sandwich, and any and every cake with dulce de leche filling. I only tiny, minuscule complaint I have about this place is the lack of signage for the pastries and cakes. It would be nice to know what I'm looking at without having the ask. Absolutely zero gatekeeping here. Please everyone keep patronizing this establishment. I need this place to continue to exist in my hood.

So get anything fresh, like made to order cakes or things you see come out right when you're there. Otherwise you run the risk of getting old stuff, which sucks that they don't manage that at all. On a Sunday afternoon lines moved quickly and we were able to find seats. This is a cute cafe that offers plenty of savory items and lunches, plus drinks like matcha, cakes, pastries and cookies. There is also a bathroom! The women behind the counter were all nice and patient with my questions, they also kept the line moving and were quick. I had high hopes for the Alfajores as this is an Argentinian bakery but unfortunately the ones given to me were stale. The cookie was very hard. Also the Dulce de leche was too sweet and burnt tasting to me. I also got a chocolate covered one and the cookie in that was also hard and dry. The strawberry croissant was amazing. Never had anything like that before. Not too sweet and very flaky. It has a ribbon of red on the outside which gives it a unique look. I would love to come back and try savory items. I'll continue to stick with the cakes and croissants for desert and make sure it's fresh!

Their secret? Traditional family recipes paired with fresh, simple ingredients straight from home create a truly authentic flavor. My son and I recently visited Chelsea Market, eager to try Los Tacos after hearing it's home to the best tacos in New York. From the moment we joined the line, the lively atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel welcome. I loved that the open kitchen allowed us to watch our food being freshly prepared. I ordered two Abodbo Tacos and two Carne Asada Tacos, and each bite was bursting with flavor. The Abodbo Tacos were slightly salty, but the pineapple topping perfectly balanced them with a sweet contrast. The Carne Asada Tacos stole the show--tender, flavorful meat topped with delicious ingredients that made each bite unforgettable. I'm already planning my next visit--these tacos are truly worth the return trip. Are they the best in New York? That's for you to decide.

Fresh bread, pastries, and baked goods that are incredibly affordable. I drive by all the time and there are always numerous cars double parked outside. Now I see what the commotion is about. The bread is great if you plan to eat it fresh or freeze for later. The Heroes and Portuguese Rolls are my favorites, and the prices are unbeatable. The Glazed Donut was a good try; it's more like a cake than a donut but would definitely pair well with a coffee. I saw the Empanadas on display and decided to try two. The Beef Empanada was pretty solid but the Chicken Empanada threw me off a bit with the carrots inside. With $10 in your pocket, you can walk out of here with so much! Highly recommend supporting this local business.

No live music but they were playing spanish music which sets the mood greatly. now if you wanted a quieter setting i'd advice eating outside, from the music playing and the groups of people having loud conversations it was a bit hard of hearing when i was asking the waiter questions. so we order the Tamal En Hoja (one) and no i completely forgot to take photos :( very soft and not too dense and i do enjoy pickle onions on top! okay for each of us: one had Vaca Frita, one had Masitas De Puerco, and our child had Camarones Ajillo. i have the Vaca Frita which came in the cup made of crispy plantain chips. Meat was not salty (thank the stars i'm on a low sodium diet because of my Bp so i was enjoying this) with the arroz moro and the side of lime was amazing. the family did enjoy their meal as we did not wait to long for the food to come. the nose level increased and it was definitely harder to hear what the waiter was asking us. but that's okay we all enjoyed ourselves. what i DID get a pic of was the desserts: Tres Leches and Flan con coco Tres Leches was good (not too sweet and the added chocolate balls made it good too) Flan con coco kind dens but flavor was there and i love coconut (it's coconut flakes on top) I will come back and try a different dish and maybe eat outside. for those who can't handle loud noises best to have earplugs (loop) or eat outside i guess. the staff treated us nicely and my son and i do look for that in places i go to make sure everyone is treated well and respected.
