The worst customer service I have ever received, if I can give them zero stars I would. What a disappointment, I purchased a bed back in May and it is now late August and I still haven't received my bed. After weeks of poor communication between sales person to manager to corporate we managed to order the bed and I was told it would be delivered by 1st or 2nd week of August and I still don't have a bed. The manager Chris is very unresponsive and he has poor customer service skills. if he as a manager doesn't care about his customers why should the sales people care. I signed up for Yelp after my experience with Arhaus. Worst customer service I have ever experienced and the Arhaus delivery service is the most dysfunctional team I have ever encountered. After filling out a detailed home access survey, Arhaus sent 2 guys out to deliver our couch and they failed to get it in our entry after one attempt and told us that they would take it back to their warehouse until we could get a lift to get it on our balcony. Fine. That's our problem, we will figure it out. Solution: We got a lift and help and rescheduled the delivery again. No one showed up. We rescheduled again. No one showed up. We finally rescheduled a 3rd time and we get a call that our couch has been ripped in the warehouse and it was going to take a month to get our $3,000 couch delivered because they would have to fix it. The next day I get a call from the delivery company trying to reschedule my couch delivery again, which doesn't make sense if it takes a month to repair. So someone is lying to us. At that point, my husband had taken off 3 days of work and gathered help 3 different occasions with no couch delivery. They then started charging us for the couch even though we still don't have it. I spoke to both Lori and Phillip in Walnut Creek who were very rude and unhelpful. They told me that my husband was lying to me "mixed communication" and that they never told him it would take a month to get our couch fixed. **** The worst part in all of this is that they told me it was OUR FAULT that the couch got ripped because we did not take the couch on the first delivery.***** I work for a window company and rest assured, if we break a customer's window, we DO NOT blame it on the customer. They refused to order us a new couch and insisted we had to take the repaired one. I did not spend over $3,000 for a new couch to get a damaged and repaired one instead. I begged them to cancel my order all together and they refused. I then tried to get at least a discount for all the trouble we have gone through and they refused. We currently have no couch at all and it has been 2 weeks since what was supposed to be our initial delivery. I asked them for a manager's phone number and they wouldn't give it to us. I'm so frustrated with the lack of communication from Arhaus. I was planning on redoing everything with them to match my new couch. Not anymore. Stay away from this company, especially the Walnut Creek location. I chose this company because I wanted quality service and products and currently I have neither of those. read more

I recently purchased outdoor furniture from the Walnut Creek store. Both Phillip and Lori were knowledgeable and very helpful with the ordering procession. I just receive my furniture and even the delivery team had great customer service. they said it would be white glove service and it was! they set everything up, placed it where I wanted it and took all boxes, etc. away. So, this is an interesting place. We made a purchase here in September 2016, and we'd say it's a good news / bad news deal. On the one hand, the furniture seems to be good quality. On the other hand, the customer service is awful. The furniture that we ordered in September was to be delivered in 4 to 6 weeks, and now it will delivered in roughly six months. They seem to be completely unconcerned by this, but we are not at all impressed by their service or attitude. Bottom line, buyer beware. read more

Walnut Creek Store. Broadway Plaza. Terrible customer service! We had a confirmed delivery window of 11am - 1pm on April 15th. At 1:30pm, I called the store and was left on hold for 5 minutes while the "concierge" did tracked down the truck. She came back on the line and said the truck would arrive at our house at 1:50pm. At 2:31pm, still no truck. I called back and this time was left on hold for 17 minutes. Phillip, the Manager, came on the line and when I told him how long I'd been on hold, he couldn't have cared less! He tried to defend the situation by saying it was because the other "concierge" was filling him in on what happened. No apology; no concern; just defended why I was left on hold. I told him I expected a refund of the $149 delivery charge and suggested he participate in leadership and customer service training, which is sorely lacking with this company. After spending the entire day waiting for the delivery with apparently no concern whatsoever on the part of the Manager of the Walnut Creek Store, we will never shop at Arhaus again. I do not recommend them at all. read more

The store itself is great and the staff is awesome... I should of seen the warning signs when we went to place an order, their system was not working, so they had to take the order on paper and then email me when it was placed... that was strike 1, strike 2 was the first missed delivery date because it was football Sunday, strike 3 was not getting a return call to reschedule my delivery, strike 4 when a reschedule was made, NO ONE CALKED TO CONFIRM A TIME OR DELIVERY... STRIKE 5, when I finally got a hold of someone they gave delivery times and now it's an hour later and still no delivery, no phone call.... this company is a disaster and I don't even want to items any longer... afraid it will take forever to get a refund.. I gave plenty of chances!!! read more

STAY AWAY - BEWARE...BAIT and SWITCH - Reviews are true don't be another victim. Purchase $18k in furniture. Have returned almost $13K in furniture today because of damage and wrong shipment for which a full credit was promised (for 3 months). Still waiting for the last piece. They refused to credit more than $600. Guess we will be in court next. Missed the first delivery -forgot to load- , then missed the second delivery by two hours and delivered the wrong pieces, missed the third delivery and damage a wall unit and did bring enough movers to deliver the last piece. Was promised delivery credits but never received. After three months returned $13k in damaged/wrong pieces because they could keep the replacement scheduled. They missed the last delivery today because again forgot to ship all pieces and didn't send sufficient movers-only sent 2-men to move 500# table up two flights of stair. They tried to deliver by after 2 steps had to stop because one mover looked like he was going to faint. Have talked with all managers and get only a song and dance. read more

Worst custom service I have ever experienced. Bought a sectional and $1700 chair with navy & white fabric. In less than a year it looked filthy - only two of us in the house and the chair did not even get that much use. Called their centralized customer service - asked for pictures which were hard to see . After repeated attempts to get a response they referred to their quality control. Again I had to repeated follow up to get a response and finally got a response that it was just dirty and nothing they could do. Tried again and they were to get back to me to let me know how to get it cleaned - again no response. Took a cushion into the store and the salesperson agreed it was dirty even on the side of the cushion which would not come in contact with anyone sitting or touching the chair. She took to her manager and came back and said they could do nothing - all customer service must go thru the automated central system. I asked to speak to the manager but she left to get coffee - shocked that she would not even speak to me after spending $11,000 in their store. Had the chair cleaned for $200 and it did not come totally clean!!!! I would never recommend this company or their products to anyone!!! read more

We bought a few large pieces of furniture from Arhaus a few weeks ago. The regional manager was great! He happened to be in the store that day and was the first person to greet us and set us up with a sales associate for our purchases. He also helped us through the ordering process and made sure would get our furniture as smoothly as possible. They use an outside delivery service, but we were warned during our purchase that the delivery service is not always reliable, so he made sure we requested additional crew. When delivery day came, we can't say all went to plan. Sure enough, the crew showed up a person short and refused to install our table after leaving it in the middle of our floor. It was too heavy for us to even move out of the way. However, this story does not end negatively. We called Arhaus, and when the store manager, heard our story, he sprung to action and helped us get through this issue very quickly. Arhaus is lucky to have a store manager like him! read more

I just recently purchased a dining table from the Walnut Creek store. My experience in the store was very positive on both of two visits with different sales people. The table is beautiful and exactly what I expected. I did have quite an issue with the delivery service however. On the first visit, all of the hardware had been forgotten. On the second visit, they only had half of the hardware and then attached hardware with screws on the wrong place on the table. Chris Patti, the store manger immediately stepped in the same day and personally purchased the needed screws and came to my home to secure the parts of the table together. In addition, because of the inconvenience, he refunded my delivery fee. He is now working to rectify the problem with the extra holes drilled in the wrong place on the table. I feel confident that he will find a solution that will be to my satisfaction. I will not hesitate to return to Arhaus for my next piece of furniture. read more

We are off to a bad start. In August we visited the new Arhaus store in Walnut Creek. If you are not from the area it's really hard to find. Lots of traffic and construction going on there. We really liked the store, lots of unique items. We ended up buying a lamp, a desk and 2 tea tables. At checkout, it seems the tea tables wouldn't be in until September and the desk in November. That was fine. Two weeks ago I received an email that my items were in from the delivery company. I called to arrange it for the next Wednesday. I was supposed to receive a call Tuesday night to confirm delivery window. No call, but I stayed home Wednesday anyways. At around noon I called the delivery company and asked when my delivery would be coming. She rudely told me that there would be no delivery since it wasn't on the schedule. Okay so I arrange for delivery for today. They assured me that all 4 items would be coming. And the sales people at Arhaus told us that the delivery people would set the furniture up for us. So, today the delivery truck shows up and they bring in 2 boxes. One box has the lamp and the other has the top only of the desk. The delivery people do not have the rest of the order. I ask them to inbox what was there and they said their policy does not allow them to open the boxes! It just keeps getting better.......so I call Arhaus while the delivery people are still there and no one is answering the phone. I just get the "please stay on hold" bit. We signed the delivery slip but wrote on there "unboxed" since I didn't know if it was damaged. I have no idea when the rest of the items will be delivered. I wish I had read the reviews about other stores in the US before we went there. I will never shop there again. read more

I would not recommend purchasing chandeliers from this store. The delivery company is separate from the store so the store could not help me track it down the merchandise when I had not received or heard from deliver company in several weeks. Then when it arrived one of the fabric sleeves was not included. I contacted the connoisseur department and they said they would send right away. Two weeks later I called again and they still had not sent. Finally a week later I received. Then I had my electrician come to install. The electrician is a reputable local company. There were no brackets included to hang fixture. When we called the connoisseur dept. the lady said they do not provide these. My electrician in all his years had never heard of such a thing. I was not told this up front. I was only told that I would have to hire an electrician to install. I would not have purchase fixture had I known the facts. I was told the Store Manager would call me today and he/she did not. This is not good business. read more
