I have always frequented this business because I like the food, but tonight I was dismayed that for $15+ meal I was changed a total of $30.16 for a simple 2 chicken tikka kebab + 1 extra lamb skewer . I got a $6.96 tip added to my bill which I did not select. I looked at the bill and knew that this owner was crooked and deceitful. When I asked for a refund he smirked and laughed at me saying that I selected this option. I may be honest with a sense of humility but I am not stupid. I told him to eat my meal and that Allah will punish him in more than meet the eyes. In which age of humanity that this act goes unpunished. read more

I Waited 20+ minutes outside despite calling 15 mins in advance like I usually always do before picking up food at restaurants. What made it worse was the door was locked from the inside but there were workers inside cooking food and they knew the customers were outside. All I ordered was chicken rice. Not a crazy amount of food but waited close to 40 minutes in the cold dark. I actually really liked the rice and bread but the chicken was too dry and flavorless. And the cost was very high it was 13 dollars for just one chicken rice. They almost always are about 7 or 8 at the halal carts. There is a Dad and Son halal cart close to here 2 mins away near Walgreens that sells food for good prices and taste great too. I used to love this place. Especially their pink tea. Tonight I waited in a not so busy restaurant maybe 3 other patrons for 30 minutes for a salad that wasn't ready. I had to argue with them to for a refund. What's worse is the "boss" was there and this is how it was... maybe have less people crowding the register and more people cooking in the back. read more

I have been going to Aria Kabab (both locations) for years! I normally get 1 chicken & beef Kofta, but I have tried their Tikka, pizza, sandwiches and I've never been disappointed. They have huge portions, so it normally lasts me for 2 meals. The service is always great, which is such an important thing for me! The place is more on the smaller side, but is very clean. Ordered through ubereats, the food arrived on time and it looked good, but the meat's overly tenderized and seasoned, and the texture was mushy. I got beef and lamb tikka. Also, I noticed that the price on ubereats is higher than what's advertised at their store (Based on a photo of the menu posted 13 days ago by another yelper). Instead of 10.99 I was charged 12.99 for the same dish. Not to mention ubereats now charges a 'service charge' on top of your order, tax and delivery charge (and your optional tip for the courier). The price difference is huge, but just be aware if you decide to order on ubereats. read more

Ordered the extremely big family combo and was very satisfied with the meal. rice and meat were all a little dry and this stuff had to be slathered in white sauce and hot sauce.....just much like your typical chicken and rice meal from the carts this place does the job! the service was definitely lacking as the person at the counter basically ignored me for a good 10 minutes while he was chilling and having a conversation but if you're in the mood for this type of food you can go the the location or call to ask for delivery. Fresh food, reasonable prices for a fast food spot. I got the chicken-lamb chops-beef kebab with rice platter. They also have chicken and veggie pizza which looked good. I went inside and asked for the chicken tikka and was immediatly greeted very warmly by a Hispanic gentleman. The gentleman behind the counter said it would be about 7 minutes for my order. I overheard him tell someone else it was his 2nd day working their. When my food came out he even asked me how many white sauces and hot sauces I needed(my order was to go). I really really like this place. It has a lot going for it and is much better than its predecessor Mirage. It's just down the road from queens college and near plenty of street parking. The entire menu is top notch and fairly priced. The pizza is very good and always fresh. The homemade burger is spiced to perfection and is melt in your mouth tender. All the Kabobs are delicious too, especially the kofta kabob. The fish sandwich and lamb over rice are also very good. They also have the best green sauce I have ever had. Furthermore, they have a huge drink (non-alcoholic) selection including a frozen drink machine. Try the strawberry it's outstanding. The owner and his son are both awesome guys. They are so friendly and always a pleasure to talk with while I wait for my delicious take-out. They are both former tennis players, and as a huge fan myself, I always enjoy talking with them about that! All in all this place is probably the best restaurant in the neighborhood. read more

For about 10 bucks (or less!), you can get a super hearty meal with any protein of your choice, or you can even mix it up. I got the lamb kebab and beef kofta platter ($10), which comes with a total of 2 skewers of meat, a lot of brown rice, and a salad on the side. The lamb was super tender and delicious, and the beef was just as delicious! The food was certainly plentiful and left me more than satisfied. Definitely got the most bang for my buck! Best Afghan food in Queens hands down. Rice is very flavorful, chicken is juicy, and the lamb is so so tender it's unreal! Try their keema pizza it has minced meat and the slice is huge. Their buffalo chicken pizza is also great. Basically nothing bad to say here. read more

Extremely unprofessional. I placed phone order and confirmed a 10 minute pickup. I arrived on time and the place was locked as the guys decided to pray. Their food is on point, but the people who work there are bunch of ignorant, uncivilized, primitive people. They are nice to some people they know, but for the rest of us they will behave as if they are doing us a favor, and we are wasting their time. People go out to eat for the taste, yes, but for the service as well, and the owner of this restaurant fails to understand that basic concept. The restaurant is listed on the GrubHub, but you will get yelled at if you ever make the mistake of ordering through GrubHub. They have different prices on different websites, and the price you actually pay at the store is always the most expensive one. We waited for 45 min till the girl who doesn't understand a single word of English to bring the salad for our table before the meal (Imaging how long it'll take for the food while we were starving?) Originally we would always pick up food from Bakthar but then decided to try Aria one day. Best decision ever made. This place has been our Ramadan staple. We kept a menu and we always call in our orders in advance and then usually pick them up if we are out and about. They do deliver, so when we inquired about having food delivered to our house (we live about 30 blocks away) they were more than happy to, and did. We just needed to give them some extra time, which was completely fine.
