Though it was somewhat greasy and the rice was a bit hard, I thought that the lamb that came with the dish was excellent. Some pieces had tendon, which made it even better. We had a few different Shish Kebabs, the tastiest one for me was the Chicken Lulya. Not as juicy as the one from Art of Grill, but still fantastic. The Veal Liver and Lamb Rib Shish Kebabs were also good, but somewhat under seasoned. Manti was suffering from the same problem, lacking salt, and the skin kept breaking with barely a touch. However, the samsa was one of the better one I have had. I thought the Korean salad was okay, but the other two salads were quite boring. No one at my table of six wanted much of the Borsch either, though I thought it was not bad. Tandoori Bread was good. Desserts were just meh. Decor is typical of these types of restaurants, with chandeliers adorning the high ceilings. Service was attentive enough for such a large group. To start off, the compot (fruit drink) and plov were delicious. The beef was well cooked and the rice was beautifully seasoned. The samsa was okay-- not super flavorful and a little dense. The mixed jiz biz (lamb with fries) was good. The lamb was perfectly cooked, but was much gamier and fattier than lamb I get at other places (Turkish and Persian). The one thing to note if you eat in person-- they charge a mandatory 15% service fee, and then on the final receipt, the recommended **additional** tip is 18%, 20%, and 22%. Just double check your bill to make sure you're not accidentally tipping 35%. The waiter brought out a tiny bottle of Deer Park water and my soda can and just placed it on the table without a word and walked away. When he came back to take our order, my wife had to ask him about a dish several times before he answered her. By the time that came out (different waiter [a little better than the first gentleman] the rice was cold. I thought the service was bad. We dipped it my own concoction of vinegar, olive oil, and pepper. Miguel ordered a side of French fries. Entrées: Make sure you order the kabobs as soon as possible! They take their time for preparation. I believe I waited 15-20 minutes. I didn't mind the wait because I was enjoying the smell coming out of the kitchen! Lamb chops: was a little chewy, and the meat was easy to remove from the bone. Beef rolls: the beef rolled up as a spin-wheel. The smell was phenomenally from this kabob. Napoleon: The beef is marinated differently. I believe they use skirt-steak with thin layers of fat in-between stacked on each other. I'm definitely ordering 2 napoleon kabobs next time, I visit!! They provide a dipping sauce for the kabobs. It's made out of a tomato base with a hint of vinegar and onions. I wish I had more dipping sauce because I personally like sauces. Genuinely, the kabobs doesn't need any sauce. The garnishes: grilled tomato and chopped onions. The proportion of food served is very rational in my opinion. 4-5 pieces per stick. Saw this place on TikTok and the food was good but everything about the place is misleading. They don't have a lot of menu items in stock. A 6 skewer combo is good for 2-3 people and it costs $45. A 10 skewer combo is good for 4-5 people but on the menu states " good for 10 people" and costs $130. My group ordered it- it's supposed to be 1 of each skewer. They came back and told us they don't have 5 of the items, we asked to double up on some skewers but that is against their policy. We ordered both lamb platters and felt like we paid $50 largely for 2 platters of crinkled fries, as the lamb pieces were not only tiny but also very dry, like they'd been left in the oven to keep them warm the entire day. The samsas and wrap were just ok, but nothing to write home about and ultimately not worth the price tag. The only thing we liked was the baba ganoush, as it tasted creamy and buttery... and was sorely needed to accompany the rest of the dry food.
