The dining area is a very clean and comfortable. Once seated, an aji verde salsa and cancha was brought to the table. The cancha is a nice touch, the corn is crispy and light. I ordered the Pollo Saltado with an extra portion of rice and a Chicha Morada. The beverage was very refreshing. The meal came out quickly. The chicken was tender and well seasoned with soy without being too salty. There was a fair amount of onions and tomatoes which were stir-fried along with the meat. The fries were freshly made with a light crispy exterior and creamy interior to soak up the saltado sauce. The aji verde salsa was on the spicy side but tasted good as an accompaniment to the dish. There was plenty of sauce from the stir fry for the extra portion of rice I ordered. I plan on ordering the Lomo Saltado next time. The staff were polite and efficient. Plenty of parking in their lot. Definitely on the list for the next time I am in the area.

They give you corn nuts and a spicy sauce on the house. We tried the yuca fries which came with a cheese sauce and it was tasty. The ceviche had a perfect lime tang to it. I've only ever had Mexican ceviche so this one was different but delicious. There was sweet potato, red onion, corn and corn nuts. For the entrees, we tried the pesto pasta with beef. The pesto was a bit heavy but the beef was SOLID. So tender and flavorful especially if you drizzle the spicy sauce they give you at the start of the meal. The other dish we tried was the lomo saltado - beef with rice and fries. Also a very good option if you prefer rice/fries over pasta.

I got a lomo saltado ($19.25) along with a chicha morada. The wait time was not long and the plate arrived with a bottle of spicy Aji verde. The french fries were separate and not mixed with the slice red onions and beef. The platter was a good size and they gave a good amount of sliced beef and the sauce was not too salty. And the gentleman who served us was very kind and welcoming. We ordered the arroz con mariscos and the tallarín verde with the beef. Both were outstanding.. The rice had just the right amount of seafood flavor in it and was cooked with calamari, a jumbo shrimp, some small shrimp, squid, and a mussel. Along with that it had corn and red onions inside and it was absolutely delicious. The tallarín had an amazing flavor and the beef was also seasoned very well and you could see that it was pounded out with a mallet to tenderize it even more. The two sauces that they give you to spice it up - both delicious and we found that the green one paired well with the rice, and the yellow one paired well with the pasta. Come try this place. It's a smaller Mom and Pop type place thatt makes amazing food. And it has great service.

Everything we ordered melted in your mouth and was beyond flavorful, and it came out incredibly fast. We kept thinking, "How is this place not packed right now?" The service was good overall. Our servers were a little quiet and not super enthusiastic, but that's totally okay- we chalked it up to language barrier. We didn't really have any hiccups, and everyone was still really friendly. The food was definitely the highlight of our visit. The atmosphere was also really cool, with all the plants, string lights, and flags everywhere. It made the restaurant feel really warm and put you right in Peru! If you haven't tried Micas yet, I'd definitely recommend it. The food alone is worth coming back for! The menu is very extensive and has options for everyone!

I was expecting a lower quality of food given the 100% capacity they were working with on Mother's Day but it was the same quality we were uss to when we would come in smaller groups and off peak times. The Empanada was filled with seasoned beef, olives, and hard boiled eggs. The filling was flavorful although the crust was more tender than crisp. It could have used some additional time to attain a decent outer crust. Pollo Saltado consisted of a large portion of tender, boneless chicken, stir fried with French fries and onion and served with steamed rice. It was delicious accompanied by the rice but was very salty from the soy sauce by itself. (This is an extremely common occurrence with this particular dish due to the varying salinity level of different soy sauce brands.) Since the saltado had a good overall flavor, if I were to order this again, I would recommend requesting that the food be made with a little less soy sauce. A dinner roll and butter blend was also served with this meal. The Chicha Morada I ordered as a beverage was delightfully delicious and refreshing from the mix of various fruit juices. The waitstaff were polite and efficient. There were no problems for me as for the service. The restaurant is freeway close to the 10 and there are plenty of parking spaces in the lot. Most of their business seems to be take out but dining in is also a good option. The video stereo system, providing the background music, played some nice tracks which made for an enjoyable experience. I would definitely entertain a return visit soon.

But it was more than the food; it was the service that made it so memorable. Our family had just arrived in Claremont for the first time; didn't know the area and were starving. Saw Inka Trails on Yelp and thought it looked good but it was about to close in 30 mins so we called to check if we could still make it. The lady who answered the phone was warm and welcoming, telling us to come on by. What followed was some of the most delicious food I've had, on par with Michelin-starred restaurants I have had the pleasured to dine at in Bangkok, San Sebastian, Paris...It was home cooking with the best ingredients - you can taste the freshness of the fish and vegetables and the fragrance of the herbs. Highly recommend the fish rice soup, the fried fish and fish stew in tomato broth. It was serious one of the best meals we have had. So the food was 5 stars, but what made me write this review was the owner Patty. She was warm and gracious. Asked us what brought us to Claremont and when we told her we were there to tour colleges, she was kind to share her insights on the school, experiences with the students, told us about safety and transits in the area. Remember this was all after the restaurant was already scheduled to be closed for the evening. We were never rushed and Patty was sincere and kind. As a frequent traveler and woman in business, I appreciate that. The experience was a highlight of our college visits and I hope to return to Inka Trails for another spectacular meal soon in the near future.
