I had a massage appointment at Body Centre of Upland (check out my review) and noticed Inca's Peruvian Restaurant a few times during my visits. Today was the day I decided to stop by and give them a try. Since I wasn't very hungry, I opted to share a meal with my partner. We ordered the chicken Chaufa and an empanada. The meal also came with a dinner roll, which was nice, though a bit burnt, it was fine with butter. The service was good, and the Chaufa was decent, peppery and not as flavorful. Also, they didn't provide extra sauce when we took the leftovers home, which was a bit disappointing. And they charge $1 for credit card payments, I wish there had been a sign indicating this somewhere on the menu or near the register. read more

Wow! What a surprise. Inca's falls into the "hole in the wall" category with maybe six or seven tables, but that has not stopped them from producing some amazing dishes. I had the Tallarin Saltado de Mariscos and the dish was fabulous. The mariscos included abundant shrimp, calamari rounds, and mussels, along with tomatoes, onions, red bell pepper, and green onions, of course mixed with tender pasta. This dish can readily serve two. My guest had the Tallarin Saltado de Carne, which was similar to the de Marisco dish, only with asada rather than seafood. It was a huge serving, with over half coming home for later. The table included the green peruvian ahi sauce and some warm bread rolls. The sauce was nice and spicy and the rolls were slightly toasted and served hot. The bread helped mop up the outstanding sauce on the mariscos dish. Of course, Inca Cola was available and a great accompaniment to Tallarin Saltado. Prices are flat out amazing and late lunch service on a Sunday was spot on. The food and table service warrant 5 stars, but the business practice of charging a 4% fee to use the credit card is downright shameful. If this fee was disclosed, it was clearly not obvious. Inca needs to modernize and build their credit card use costs into their overhead cost. What's next, a table cleaning fee, a salt and pepper fee, a dishwashing fee? read more

My family & I have been here numerous times in the past decade & the food is consistently spot on. Whether we get the salchipapas or the lomo saltado, the food is always deliciois & the staff is always friendly & hospitable. It's a cozy & quaint spot that gets full real quick. So it's been awhile since I've had some good lomo saltado , and it's been quite a few times I passed through upland and seen this spot here idk how long it's been here but I've never noticed it , I usually go west for Lomo Covina/LA area so today I stopped through upon arriving I was helped instantly the lady up front was very nice and helpful I wanted some chicken but they didn't have any today they said this weekend forsure no biggie I mainly came for the Lomo .... It's a nice little spot forsure gram fit a group of 8 in there as well as 4 other groups of 4 also .. so it's kinda roomy so now let me get to the main part I finally finished my meal and I won't lie I'm a little upset , it didn't hit like I thought it would ... the green sauce was off a little something was missing the white rice seemed like wet still basically , I'm assuming it needed to be cooked more ? Idk but over all the lomo plate was a solid 5/10 ... my ratings are based off everything else but yeah will I rush back here again no will I try it another time and give it a shot and maybe today was just one of those days yes I will , but don't let this stop you from trying it out ! read more

We ate lunch here on a Tuesday around 1:45pm. The restaurant is in a strip mall right next to a Baskin Robbins and a donut shop alongside a Brandon's Diner. Very small restaurant but you definitely get a South american vibe by the decor and the tv programs that play. The waiter we had was nice and checked on us frequently. My girl had the lomo saltado. That is by far the most popular dish at any Peruvian restaurant we have been so I wanted to get something I hadn't really seen before. I elected to get a beef and ulloco stir fry. I don't recall the proper name so I don't want to butcher it on here. My dish was very well seasoned, in fact, the rice itself was a bit on the salty side. I did finish it however. The Lomo was decent, not the best we have had but a worthy rendition indeed. 3.50 for a can of soda is a bit on the expensive side without refills. Portions are huge so you won't leave hungry that's for sure. Glad we gave it a try. read more

This place was awful, no AC on a heat wave. I roach on the table and not even an apology. Too bad we had already ordered the food, at this point I ask for a to go container, when I got the container it had spider web ( when I told the waiter, just brough me another and no apology. When we got the tab and wanted to pay with a card they wanted to charge us a % (around $30). I just paid and told them I would never be back to this restaurant. I don't recomended. Been passing by this place for a few months and finally gave it a shot. Prices are good, the server, which i think is the owner is nice, and the food was really good, but our experience was diminished by dirty chairs, the dusty fan that they had blowing behind my husbands seat, and a cockroach that decided to join our table while we were eating. My husband smashed the roach after it tried to scatter near his Inca cola, and he hid it under a napkin to show the owner, but the owner blamed Baskin Robbin's for the roach coming into his store. He offered an apology, and that was it. No discount offered for the roach intrusion of our meal or the fact that we were very discreet about it. Not sure if we'll be coming to eat inside again, but I hope he'll take our observances to heart, and have a cleaner environment for guests. read more

We were looking for something different to try and stumbled across this spot and let me tell you it did not disappoint. One of the best Peruvian places I've been to in a while. The meat, onions and rice had so much juice and flavor, the egg added a nice kick and the overall the taste was just perfect. The place isn't the most inviting the food makes up for it. Essentially grilled steak, tomato, and onion seasoned just like Lomo Saltado, but over rice and white beans instead of fries. The plate was huge and very flavorful. I could eat this everyday. Ordered to go. The gentleman at the register was really nice. Didn't order ahead of time, but it was still a very short wait for what I thought was great food! My husband had lomo saltado and said it was very good, but not "great" and the portion size was good. I had the tallarin verde with chicken instead of steak, and received tasty milanesa-style chicken. Again, great portion size and I have my leftovers for tomorrow. We also ordered papas a la huancaina and the huancaina sauce was really tasty! Their menu on Google maps is not quite accurate anymore, as they no longer do pollo a La brasa, unfortunately. We were greeted immediately by a man who im assuming is the manager or owner. He let us sit anywhere we liked and gave us our menus promptly! We already knew what we wanted so we got the Lomo Saltado and the arroz frito/chaufa de mariscos (seafood fried rice) also two Inca Kolas because you can't have Peruvian without the Inca Kolas!!! The wait for the food was maybe 10-15 mins, not bad at all! We added yucca frita maybe 5 minutes after because we totally forgot that we like to try that at every Peruvian spot we go to! The Lomo came first and then the yucca and then the fried rice just a couple minutes later, everything was hot and fresh and smelled so amazing! Lomo saltado: 20/10 meat was tender, seasoned beautifully and the tomatoes and onions were perfectly cooked, not mushy like most spots do it, fries were on point! Seafood fried rice: 9/10 my partner said I wish it had a little bit more meat but other that than it was delicious and seasoned well, the portions were huge! Service was fine....food is another story...we had Lomo Saltado and Pollo Saltado....beef was dry and super tough....Pollo was boiled and tough....rice wasnt cooked properly either....we kept trying but after eating a few bites we gave up. Items were $18 each. Paid our bill with zero tip and left the food on the table looking as of we hadnt touched it. I've had the best Lomo Saltado out there and this dish was horrible here. It seems they just dont get it after so many bad reviews stating same issue....chewy meat isnt something I want to pay for.
