    Italian Panini
    Sandy W.

Apparently I have been here before, but for breakfast. Today we went for lunch and I ordered an Italian panini. It was just okay. Hubby ordered Cajun chicken gyro with onion rings. He thought the gyro didn't have much Cajun flavor but the onion rings were good. The service was good and the booths could use remodeling as many had rips in the cushions. If we go back, definitely would order breakfast.

Best Blueberry waffle ever!!! Only offered on weekends

Staff was so nice, i asked the waitress what she recommend the blueberry waffle or pancake she strongly suggested the waffle and I'm glad i went with her recommendation it was hands down the best waffle I've ever had! All the food we ordered was amazingly delicious!! The breakfast bowl so yummy and my husband loved his breakfast gyro! We would definitely recommend next visit to Columbus we will be dinning here! 5

There was nothing special about Ari's today. None of the food was bad. It was just mostly meh. The sausage was premade patties - possibly cooked on site...maybe not? The eggs were the best part, my scrambled eggs were actually pretty good and cooked exactly as requested. If for some crazy reason I ordered scrambled eggs and nothing else, I would have walked out thinking that's a great place. The toast was dry and had little to no butter/margarine. The home fries looked great but the did not taste good. The restaurant was clean and the server was nice. I probably won't come back again. The prices on the ticket were slightly higher than the prices on the menu. They claimed it was an extra dine-in tax, but the sales tax was also added. I'm taking off a star for that - from 3 stars down to 2.

This was a combined Roadside America / Yelp experience. There's a giant cowboy sitting on a fence waving his hat, right out front. One of those photo ops that's worth a stop. So we came for the cowboy, followed by lunch at Ari's, which was a 5 star diner experience. Clean, bright, spacious establishment, Plenty of comfy booths plus a nice curved counter. Marilyn Monroe and James Dean decor, fun theme and not overdone. Obligatory Ohio Buckeye banner was also in sight. One unobtrusive tv overlooked the counter. Service was prompt, efficient, and cheerful. Menu was quite extensive, in a true diner fashion, including the 'anytime breakfast.' I had the Greek panini, $7 and practically a meal for two. Absolutely delicious, gyro meat and trimmings on pressed ciabatta bread. Like a warm wondrous union of Greek and Italian; and the accompanying cucumber yogurt sauce was out of this world. I slathered it liberally, and it was cheerfully replenished at no extra charge. My husband had the House salad with gyro meat. Also a generous portion which he devoured and had only good things to say about it. No public wifi, alas, but that's getting to be MY problem, so no stars lost. Breakfast special listed on the chalk board was eggs, home fries, and choice of ..... Are you ready? Italian sausage or mortadella! Momma! If i lived nearby I would be here often.

Ari's Diner is on Frank Rd on the southwest side of town. I immediately loved the vibe when we walked in. Locally owned, "regulars" coming in and being greeted by name, no frills and a large menu is what I noticed at first. During the meal my coffee cup never went empty (plus 1). I had the breakfast bowl: 2 eggs, gravy, biscuit, home fries, sausage and cheese and my husband had the pig omelet- ham, bacon, sausage and cheese. Both were dynamite and we were sad when our meal was over "let's eat this all again!!" The flavors were awesome & nice sized portions. The owner sat at the bar the whole time & made sure things were running smoothly.

Not a bad little place. Had the Reuben it was good. The onion rings could have a little crisper. Friendly staff

I think having a call reservation system could help, but they probably could also have some outdoor seating when the weather is nice. They're very friendly here, and the food is very good........so it's completely understandable why they're so loved. Just maybe they could use some extra capacity accommodations as I suggested.

I ordered a grilled chilled cheese to be safe because I suspected the quality of other items would be questionable. Unfortunately, the grilled cheese is made with one single slice of Kraft American Singles. Not even real cheese and it wasn't fully melted. The fries are frozen crinkle cut fries, also somehow cold. The bacon was gross, tastes dry and just low quality, like microwave kind? I tried my son's kid waffle which was surprisingly decent. Hash-browns were okay just unseasoned. Overall would not recommend if you're looking for quality ingredients but if you're looking for a greasy spoon you're in business. The staff was nice, probably the only positive for me.

Yelp Elite Event at The Mercury Diner -- Come Hungry, Leave Happy!…read more WOW... just WOW! First and foremost, a HUGE shout-out to Jasmine and Hanna for putting on one heck of a Yelp Elite event tonight! You ladies absolutely crushed it! Now let's talk about the food... because that's why you're really here, right? Everything I tried was packed with flavor, but a few things really stood out. The homemade English muffins -- YES, homemade! And you could tell. They were fantastic. The fresh avocado smash -- basically guacamole, but calling it avocado smash somehow makes it sound even better! Either way, it was fresh, flavorful, and seriously delicious. Those crispy potatoes -- perfectly seasoned with that beautiful crispy exterior. I could have eaten a whole plate of them! And then came the mimosas... OH. MY. GOODNESS. These weren't your average brunch mimosas. They were next level! I started with the blackberry, and I think that one was my favorite. Then I tried the strawberry basil, followed by the Martian, which was pineapple-based. Let's just say... the bartender knew what they were doing! Speaking of the bartenders, they were absolutely fabulous--friendly, welcoming, and keeping everyone's glasses full. Overall, this was a fantastic night with great food, incredible drinks, and an awesome group of people. This is exactly why I love being part of the Yelp Elite community! And I'm not done with The Mercury Diner yet... Next time, I'm bringing the blogger camera and doing a full-on Brian's Big Bite food review! So stay tuned, Mercury Diner... I'm coming back hungry! Great job, Jasmine and Hanna! You definitely know how to throw an event!

First time my wife and daughter stopped before our daughter headed overseas for two years in the Peace Corps. Scotty''s is super close and convenient to the airport. Scotty learned of the imminent departure and came with cookies and treats for the long flight! And now this morning it was another airport drop off. It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe. You rarely see a 4.9 rating and even more rarely that high based on so many reviews. But I understand why - like in so many things in life, it is about the people. And the joy they bring to every conversation. And I will just add, in this age when some would divide us, this dining room is filled with all manner of folks, reveling together over food in fellowship.
