Pros: really pretty clothes, nice sales people, pretty store and well organized. Cons: be aware of the return policy- Large store gives you the impression it's a large retail establishment with normal reasonable return policies but doesn't. Sale items usually final sale, other purchases have to be returned in 14 days for store credit only. Also don't like to try on clothes in a dressing room without a mirror. When store is busy on the weekend there is a long line to the dressing rooms and line to look in the mirror. Be sure you really want to keep what you buy and inspect it for torn seams and anything else and know you will only have a store credit if you return. I really want to shop here but the return policy concerns me which adds to the stress of shopping. read more

I understand that the emotional labor of retail is trying; I absolutely don't expect that people on the clock constantly smile at me or be cheerful - that's okay, I empathize with that. However, I didn't appreciate feeling pressured to buy something and being made to feel like I wasn't welcome to stop in again to try things on to see if there might be something I wanted to buy. (I did make a purchase this last time I went, but I felt uncomfortable, rushed, and didn't feel like there was a lot of care given to making sure I was getting the right size.) It shouldn't be frowned upon to try things on and think over a purchase. I prefer to try things on in store to see what certain sizes and colors look like on, but I may mostly stick to online purchases due to the more flexible return policy for online purchases of sale items. I'm not sure if associates are incentivized to make high pressure sales but that sort of demeanor is counter productive and makes me want to shop there less. The wide selection of colors and styles is a major plus for this place. Clearly, this store is meant for a wide range of ages. Specifically this place had plenty of sizes on the floor. Which is great..because usually the mediums are gone first. It wasn't messy like quite a lot of other places in Westfield. Things were well organized and cleaned up. Visited again today! Service: The staff here was so extremely helpful, but not pushy. They quickly set up rooms, offered additional sizes, helped with finding and recommending items, and checkout was so fast. I also called their concierge before visiting, and they too were thoughtful and amazing. Clothing: The store itself has a large array of items in so many sizes. The clothes fit well without tailoring, and the materials are beautiful for the prices. The coats are generally 95% wool, and their white blouses are opaque enough that you could wear them to work without worrying about the material being too thin. Location: They still have an amazing location in the mall. Two floors with a street entry and an entry from within the mall. Just love this spot! read more

The ladies here don't mess around. I don't think I've ever walked out of here without buying something. They'll walk you through every purchase, assist you if you have any questions, and will go out of their way to order a size for you or offer any legitimate input on something you might be waffling over purchasing. I never usually buy pricey jeans, but today I couldn't resist purchasing a gorgeous pair of high waisted J- Brand black jeans and a slick black belt to match. You find them around the store in little groups and personally, it made me feel uncomfortable. I've been to this location twice since my first experience here, with mixed but ultimately unpleasant results. The second time I came here, I was at least greeted by a couple of different people, which was a major step up from the first time. But the salesgirl on the floor that engaged me was too pushy, making me feel awkward and obligated to get a fitting room, which felt more like a way to get the clothes out of my hands and into safe keeping. It was odd, like I was being watched while also being helped. I had to try on the few things I picked out anyway, but the fact that the girl kept asking me if I wanted her to start a fitting room for me, and then taking the clothes from me and telling me they'd hold them in the room made it pretty clear they'd rather I didn't walk around with them. Usually I'll hear the saleswomen giving insincere compliments to the women trying on clothing (and the fact that there's no mirror in your fitting room makes things all the more uncomfortable, like I'm being put on display for the store to scrutinize in front of the lone mirror outside the fitting rooms), but for whatever reason no one came out to help me or to offer their sage advice when I tried on my clothing. Not that I wanted or needed it, but yet another bizarre example of how for whatever inexplicable reason I get ignored at Aritzia and I can't for the life of me figure out why (and considering they make an effort to not speak to me they can't claim that I'm in any way rude or unpleasant). I speedily tried on my clothing, bought it, and left. Yesterday I dropped in again (three months after the aforementioned visit), and it was the worst of the 3 experiences here: not a single soul, of all of the women working, acknowledged or greeted me. I saw plenty of people look up and at me, then look down or away with no effort made to ask if I needed help or to just say hello. Even the woman at the counter glanced up and away. I was extremely irritated when I found myself almost literally shoulder-to-shoulder with some girl with a pixie cut who not only didn't say a word to me, but didn't even look at me. The icing on the cake was when she reached right in front of me, arm right in my face, to grab some shirts off a rack and then made a point of quickly "fixing" the shirts I had just looked through, even though I barely moved any of them. She walked away without a word. I made a point of eeking out as much time here as I could without looking like a loiterer, purposefully wandering near any associate I could find to see if they'd greet me - no one did. They weren't at all busy, with only a couple other people in the store and a lot of the usual insincere praise and "That looks SO cute on you" coming from the fitting rooms, so it couldn't even be said that I was just lost within a sea of customers. Far from it. And the fact that I was wearing such distinct clothing - dressed to the nines in my workwear - made it pretty clear that it wasn't that they didn't see me there, it was that they simply didn't give a shit about engaging me, period. And yet again, the security guard was the only person to say anything to me, a pleasant goodbye as I left. And the real irony? I was wearing a dress I purchased from Aritzia on my last visit here. Absolutely embarrassing staff, poor customer service, and what's worse is that it's always been different associates, which suggests that there must be a culture of turning up your nose at particular customers in the training environment at this particular Aritzia. Still very nice clothing. I do want to update my review to say it's probably more on the $$$ unless they have sales. Aritzia carries the best & most flattering pants running over $100 for the Wilfred brand. Also nice tops in great feeling material. Sort of a similar aesthetic to Zara but much better quality. You get what you pay for, I guess. They carry mostly house brands like Wilfred and Babaton with a few other brands mixed in like Levi's. Their return policy sucks though. Sale items are final sale and they don't have sales as frequently as say the gap or Anthropologie. 20% off seems like the running sale amount around Memorial Day and Black Friday. The girls who work here were very sweet & helpful to help me find what I needed, got me different styles & sizes, continuously put the items I picked up aside in my dressing room, & for making it easier for me to get in-n-out of the store as quick as possible! I have been to the San Jose location, so I was kind of expecting better in terms of appearance. I guess yes, its a tad bigger than the San Jose one? But this Aritzia seems like a casual version. This shop is located in the first floor of the Westfield mall in San Francisco. The customer service I received was pretty good. She wasn't too pushy with me, and assisted me with items that could work with the top I was potentially buying. I wasn't sure if the fit was okay, so she offered to check other Aritzia locations. I did keep hearing the, "that's soooooo cuuuute" around the store. There was a nice sale going on dropping most of the items I previously wanted, but couldn't afford to almost 40-50% off. Nice. They carry Rock and Republic, Seven, See By Chloe, Anna Sui, Wilfred, TNA, Mink Pink, etc. I really love the leggings and undergarments here. Like most of their apparel, they are pretty good quality. Lots of basics, solids, and flowy silohouettes. Because some of the clothing could seem a little too plain, I find myself having to debate purchasing the item because of it's price. The only thing I really disliked about this store was it's fitting room and lack of mirrors inside them. I think it's intentional, so that the fitting room service is "interactive". You are forced to go outside and share a large one with the rest of the girls and endure customer service comments from the sales staff. I tend to go outside anyway since natural lighting is best way to view an item, but I didn't want to play show and tell with bits popping out of the wrap around bandeau I had on. If anything, the lack of mirrors inside convinced me not to buy it. I ended up buying one item out of the 3 items I tried on. This place has cute stuff but everything is overpriced for the quality. They also rarely have anything in a medium or large. I had a bad experience here last week with a friend. We were running errands and had a lot to do and stopped here to do a return. They have a ridiculous return policy of 10 days for a refund and 21 days for store credit. Not the average return policy of 30 days! We were within the 30 days but they refused to give us store credit. We spoke to the manager and she refused as well. We told her we wouldn't shop here again and then she offered us to do an on the spot exchange. We didn't have the time but felt our hands were tied. So we spent like 30 minutes searching for something which was hard since most of their stuff is XS or S. We did the exchange but we both agreed we'd never shop here again bc instead of an exchange, the manager could have issued us a store credit but she instead decided to inconvenience us and make us late. They have the return policy of a small boutique even though they are a huge retailer. If you're going to have such an extreme return policy then you should make customers aware of it at checkout. I think that the staff need some kind of retraining with customer service skills. I came into the store to get a pair of pants as a gift for my friend and I tried to look for a worker to help. Two workers made eye contact with me and could clearly tell I needed some help and they both just ignored me. The workers stare you and up and down and don't even acknowledge you. They were literally having side conversations with each other. It was such an uncomfortable experience and I felt such high school mean girl vibes from the store and the workers. Upon returning home, I realized the dress was actually marked at 60% on their online store - this price was NOT reflected in the store. So I've been a customer here for years. I unfortunately purchased a pair of sweats that were very cheap quality, not my fault. I asked a manager who is familiar with me if I could exchange or return them , she said that was fine. After wearing them 1x they started to wear significantly in the crotch area( sorry to say). They cost $60 so guess you can't expect much. I've never had an issue with quality there before. I made the mistake of returning them on her day off. Every time I make a stop in SF, I have to include Aritzia on the itinerary. If my wallet was a smudge fatter, I'd shop here more frequently. Unfortunately, it's not. The labels that Aritzia carries are targeted at the 20+ 30-something working girl who can afford to indulge. By indulge, I really mean dropping mega cash on investment pieces. I rarely buy things full price (why would you), but my most expensive shirt ($100+ range) is from Aritzia. The staff is pretty friendly, but I definitely feel some judgement. They're similar to the LF Stores girls if you're from socal. They go out of their way (when they choose to) to upsell matching tops, bottoms, and accessories. Most of the clothes here sell themselves, and you can't really beat the quality for the price. They also have an online shop in case you're a late night shopper like me. :) read more

The store itself is very small, but the clothes are trendy with a high price point that you would expect from such a brand. I came in and tried 3 items on. My main issue with the shopping experience is the lack of privacy in the fitting rooms. There are NO mirrors in the fitting rooms. In order to see how something looks on, you need to LEAVE your fitting room and check yourself out in one of the communal mirrors outside, completely on display to everyone in the store! I don't even want to know how people try on lingerie in a dressing room with this set up. Let me start by saying I've been an avid shopper of Aritzia since 2006 or so. I've been to 3 of the locations numerous times and I do not know of another store I love more. I've had pretty great experiences and helpful associates until my last visit on March 5, afternoon time. I'm still giving 4 stars although I would like to touch base on an experience I thought was rude. There's a short asian woman and tall asian woman who are always so helpful. This time, I had a skinny & tall caucasian woman with long brown hair, probably in her late 20s, help get me a fitting room. That's about all she did the whole 1+hrs I was in the store. She never came to check up on me, I had to find her to get me another size, she just wasn't helpful, period. On top of that, I kept seeing her "socialize" w/ her co-workers and not minding the customers at all. I was so annoyed that I ended up finding the other two woman to help me. So I purchased a few items, walked around the mall and had a chance to look over my purchase to realize one of the sweaters I purchased had a stain on it. I came back in to exchange and she gave me an obvious " look" and also whispered something to her co-worker. I find this rude and unwelcoming since I was also purchasing another item when I came back. She went out of her way to help me then and ring me up when she was no where to be found when I was in there shopping earlier in the day. When she finished ringing me up, there was no "thank you/have a good day," nothing. Just poor customer service, that's all. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a store I love so much before. One of my favorite stores! You can find so many staple pieces for your wardrobe at Aritzia and the neutral color scheme around this time of year is what I live for. Store is always nice and clean, plays music that's popular, and so well laid out. I came in yesterday with two of my friends and was looking for a trench type coat, possibly wool. I was immediately assisted by Shelby! As soon as I told her what I was looking for, she showed me a few different coats and started a fitting room for me. Each time as I'd try a coat on, she'd ask how I was doing and how I liked the fit. I ended up only getting one coat, which she told me is really popular right now and even showed me an internet famous blogger's photos of how she liked to style them with different outfits. When I walked in I was treated by a number of workers (very good) but when I started to browse one of the workers came up to me and started to try and "help" me. The customer service is outstanding. They are really friendly and genuinely seem like they care about you and the way they look. Have not been to an Aritzia in a few years because I went to the one in San Jose many times but didn't find anything for a while. Was waiting for a friend, so I decided to take a peek. Looks like they stock more high end labels now or maybe the prices got higher. As usual, lots of chic and stylish stuff. I bought a white bustier tank by Wilfred. Very cute under a blazer. They didn't have the nude color in large. The sales lady said it would stretch and I could try a medium. But I have never worn a medium size ever since I was, well ever! Half star off for not having too many sizes in popular colors. One thing I really didn't like was there were no mirrors in the dressing rooms. There's one communal mirror, but you have to walk out of your personal dressing room. I think this is a strategic move to make sales. But I can tell you if there's men waiting for their girlfriends or wives, women won't come out. Women are notorious for being self conscious, me being one of them. I love this store Almost everything I buy here lasts past a season I buy my heavy winter coats with them every year and they haven't failed me yet Super cozy, durable and details I find myself missing when I wear other jackets not from here. Salesgirls at San Francisco store are catty, vain, mean girls, especially Senna. The girls are obviously trained to complement you, but it is so obviously not genuine. I took my daughter for a special shopping day, and she left the store in tears because she over-heard the salesgirls making disparaging comments about us. Wasted so much time in this store yet walked out with nothing. The store looks fully stocked but I was unable to find my desired size and color in any item I wanted to buy. I placed an order for the Babaton T-shirt along with another shirt. I received the other shirt but received an email that the Babaton T-shirt would ship soon. I waited and did not receive further updates and decided to call today to check on the status. I was told that the order has been canceled due to short ship (whatever that means). I asked why I did not receive an email telling me of the cancellation and the representative could not provide me with an answer. When I placed the order, the stores near me had several shirts but now, per the website, they have one per store. However, when I called the stores, the shirt is not available (both stores) even though the website states that it was available. I really wanted this shirt and now I'm very disappointed. First off, I would like to say that I am the biggest Aritzia fan and supporter. I fell in love many many years ago my first trip to Canada and now I'm hooked for life on the quality of their products and the timelessness of every piece I own. I don't have an aritzia where I live so whenever I am any where that has one, I HAVE to go in. I was very disappointed in this store and the experience the employees gave me. I was impressed but the selection of product and the cleanliness and visual merchandising but I was treated so incredibly poorly I ended up leaving. They had every thing I wanted and am also and incredibly easy sell but that doesn't matter. The floor manager was rude to me and my family, I wasn't helped, I was questioned at every turn, and felt extremely unwelcome. I went into the fitting room and started to try on my clothing and no one every came back to make sure i was doing okay (they weren't busy at all i also don't mind not being checked on but it's always appreciated). As someone who works in retail I know how to make people feel welcome, appreciated, and loved. I also have had the best experience at every other aritzia I have been to. Know they work on commission I didn't want to give them my sale so I walked out and drove to the Walnut Creek location. I love this place!! My friend and I decided to go in for the first time and we were not disappointed. the clothes were perfect but the service was even better. The girl who helped us was an absolute angel. She was so helpful and so sweet . She made our shopping experience literally amazing and went out of her way to recommend stuff for us. I wish i got her name but she was wearing a slick bun and a puffer. just wanted her to know shes amazing and we are thankful. my friend and i are named riley and lucy if she remembers!!! read more
