Great location for a breakfast place. I've been living off of Camp Creek for 13 years and it's nice to finally see a place for breakfast. Unfortunately, this place is not it. Went there with my 13 year old daughter. The food was just okay, nothing special. I had grits, eggs and bacon and my daughter had an order of pancakes. The bill ended up being $22 bucks. If the food was good, I would not mind paying $22 bucks for breakfast, but at a Just Okay taste, this place is pretty doggone expensive. Not my cup of tea at all. read more

Really wanted to find a new breakfast place but this will not be it. First let me say the service was excellent and the restaurant was bright and clean. The food was basic and the portions, in my opinion, were small. I ordered 2 Sunrise Breakfasts; eggs scrambled, potatoes, biscuit, and 1 with bacon and the other with chicken sausage; to go. We opened the containers and while disappointed in the amount of food what shocked me the most were the potatoes. In the pan with bacon the sparse but appealling skin on red potatoes with red peppers were almost done, almost. The container with the sausage had grey mushy chunks with red pepper pieces. Also the serving of sausage was weird. Imagine a hotdog cut in half then slit length wise and then 1 of the 4 pieces missing. I may give it another try sometime in the future but it will be dine in because the dishes I saw served to the customers looked delicious. read more

Great food, but HORRIBLE takeout service. If you EVER order them via Uber Eats or Grubhub, expect half of your order to be wrong or missing. You order blueberry pancakes, you get plain pancakes with no condiments or side items. You order plain grits, you get cheese grits with some sort of "breakfast meat" floating in them. What gives? I had the Jerk omelette and it lacked the JERK. I also had the Oxtail and that was a complete disappointment. It was 4 small pieces of oxtail of which one was the very tip of the tail with no meat. So I was visiting Atlanta on business and was excited to try this place as the reviews seemed amazing. The hostess in the beginning who also happened to be the waitress had a cheery disposition and at first glance was very personable and accommodating. My husband ordered the breakfast tacos and bacon and I ordered regular pancakes and sausage. We also ordered water and juices and my husband asked if the water was safe as there was a boil water notice the day prior. The waitress looked at us as if we were craZy so we assumed the notice was over. A few minutes in our pancakes were dropped off with the tacos minus the breakfast meats. The pancakes were NOT light and airy. They were actually very think and dry so when we finally got our waitresses attention we asked for butter and out breakfast meats. During this time the owner came in and stated if we had water they needed to switch it out for bottled water as they were on a boil water notice. After about 7 minutes we finally got our breakfast meat and about 3 minutes after that I got butter. My husband asked if I would get fresh pancakes since they had sat there for so long and the waitress literally rolled her eyes as if we asked her to whip them up herself. I then stated it was fine and attempted to choke down cold dry pancakes without water this was a huge task. Finally we got the bottle water and at this point I was done and just wanted our check. The icing on the cake was when our waitress came by and said I'm sorry IF your experience wasn't the best BUT hopefully it wasn't the worst. After this we were TRULY done and paid our bill and went on our way. Miss waitress if you're reading this review this was OIR WORST. read more

My husband and I wanted to do something different for breakfast so we decided to drive out to the Marketplace and check Arize out. The restaurant is like a big room with tables nothing fancy. We were greeted as we walked through the door and seated right away. There were four other tables occupied once we arrived so it was not crowded at all. Our server was very sweet and seemed to be able to keep up with everyone's orders with no problems. The first thing we tried was the Hazelnut coffee which was very good. You have to have good coffee to be in the breakfast business. The first thing my eyes zoomed in on was the peach cobbler french toast. I wanted it but wish you could get a combo with eggs and a meat that would have been great. I asked if there were any specials that were not on the menu and she showed up a picture of an omelet that won me over so we both ordered it. Now this is why I took off a few stars. When the bill came those special omelets with no name cost us 19.95 each. I should have asked for a price if I knew it would be that much. All in all the experience was cool and the food was good but not for the money we spent. I left feeling like did I just dine at the four seasons? It still bothers me to this day and I did call to discuss this with someone but never got a call back. So lesson learned guys always ask for prices. read more

The food is incredible, the portions are just the right size if you're hungry and the service was fast and friendly. We sat next to a woman who lives 20 minutes away and drives here weekly for breakfast and I can see why! I had the Jamaican Omelet and our sweet server paid attention to my need to leave the cheese out and my boyfriends sweet potato pancakes were amazing. I went in for brunch. We were seated prior to a couple whe arrived at least 5mins after us and yet their order was taken first and they received their food first. I ordered Bailey's French toast but it seemed like the regular French toast. Even one of the servers said he believed I wasn't the correct order. No confirmation was made with the cooks, nor was there a change to my bill. My French toast was also soggy and uncooked on the underside. Grits were good but the cheese was just plopped on top and wouldn't melt. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my glass of apple juice with no ice, but that quickly disappeared when I saw black spots (that rubbed off when I touched it) inside of my glass. I was excited for a breakfast spot in the camp creek marketplace. I went for take out on the way to work. I ordered the Cajun shrimp and grits and a side of bacon. It was not worth the price. After the take out fee and the required 18% gratuity it was $23. That would have been fine except the food was poor. They had sausage, like two shrimp, grits and all this red sauce. It tasted like tomato paste. No flavor really. I tried to call, but they were already closed. Don't order the Cajun shrimp and grits and definitely don't do take out unless you really can't eat in. Welcomed with a warm greeting and smile when I walked in. Restaurant smells "breakfast great". They are a new business and they haven't put much thought much in the way of "unique decor" but the space does the job (they could get a consultant and really make the space special with some small changes though). Seating is very limited .. no booths .. all table and chairs .. they do have toddler chairs available .. the limited seating could become an issue as they get more popular (which they will because the area doesn't have much in the way of breakfast options). They have music pumping from a speaker on the ground and it's a bit too loud (but they're in "just opened" party mode i imagine -- people sitting near the speakers had to have a mini-headache though -- people want to talk and have a peaceful breakfast for the most part -- turn the music down a few notches to a peaceful enjoyable level). Waited an excruciating 45+ minutes on a to go order and the restaurant was barely full when i placed my order Definitely will give them another chance -- food itself was cool -- wait took the excitement out of it read more

Food was OK but service was very slow. Waited appropriately 45mins for my food and 15mins for my bill to arrive when I finished. Never got a refill on my tea. Got a lot of stares when I came in but that's not uncommon in Atlanta. The veggie omelette was great. The pork sausage was over cooked. Better over cooked when it comes to pork. At first we didn't think it was open for sit down as the front is all high counter space. But upon further inspection, we realized that the dining area behind the large counter was open. Mom, 87 and a retired caterer wanted something simple and light after a midweek shopping day. We stumbled across this small, obviously new restaurant and decided to give it a try - unfortunately. The pancakes were beautiful and dry; the grits were smooth and tasteless. The coffee was lukewarm and watery. The biscuits and gravy - dry again, tasteless again. I really wanted to like the spot, the energy was nice, the music added to the atmosphere in a good way. Why were there no yummy smells??? Someone who was obviously one of the owners friends came in and proceeded to have a conversation on her phone within the hearing of everyone in the restaurant - very annoying! The server was working alone, very nice, but slow, but this was probably due to the fact that he seemed to be doing everything (maybe even cooking?) the owner would have made a great impression to pitch in during the busy times. I will never ever go back to this restaurant. It was more than a little bit disorganized. After waiting 15 minutes for a table even though there were empty tables we watched as people who sat after us got their order taken. Finally after sitting for over 10 minutes the busboy, yes busboy, asked us if we wanted coffee. Still yet people sat after us and placed an order. This is my new favorite breakfast spot!! I love being greeted by name by Ms. Ebony Eyes (my name for her in my head) the most warm and sweet waitress I've had in a long time. I'm also loving the chill and laid back vibe set forth by Doug the owner via his color scheme, clean and simple decor on the walls and tables, and the grown folks music. The crowd is always local politician types, families, cops getting a quick bite, and plenty of business folks holding those coffee cups while chatting up their clients. Thanks Camp Creek Marketplace for finallllllly giving us something useful! Oh, and the food is always on point...I'm working my way down the menu systemically and have yet to dislike anything on my plate. They are only about 3 miles away, but the food was cold when it got here. I met a friend for brunch here recently and ordered the waffle with fresh fruit, coffee and scrambled eggs. The food wasn't anything to rave about with the exception of the vanilla bourbon sauce that comes with the waffles. The waffles were overdone/crispy and the eggs had a weird aftertaste. I was disappointed that they did not have an espresso machine and I agree that the coffee was quite bad. Overall, not a bad establishment. The staff was very attentive however was easily confused about who ordered what. read more
