But what REALLY stood out was the customer service from Tallon (sorry if I butchered your name)! He was absolutely fantastic! He continuously checked on us throughout our visit to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying ourselves. What impressed us even more was how attentive he was to all the other customers too. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure everyone was having a great experience. Our son is a baseball fanatic and we knew he would have a blast here. As a pitcher, he LOVED the pitching cage. The cage measures your pitch speed and also scores based on your accuracy. What a fun concept. In addition, there are a good amount of batting cages. Each cage is equipped with different sized bats and a helmet. You may also bring your own gear as well. There are softball and baseball cages and speeds of 50 - 80 MPH. We all had a fun time practicing our swings with the virtual pitcher. * Note: Batting cage for left handed hitters is cage 9. There are basketball games in the back along with bowling lanes and arcade games in the facility. Our 5 year old loved the driving games. We couldn't believe the great deal that they have. For $64.99, you can get 90 minutes of unlimited free play for 4 people with a pizza and choice of drink. Yes, UNLIMITED. It was a perfect choice for our family of four. The customer service was top notch and very informative / detailed. Huge thanks and props to Talon for all of his help and ensuring that we enjoyed our time at Taroko!! There is a $5 gate fee for anyone over the age of 16. They have 8 fields which have been built as replicas of famous ballparks and the field offers stadium style seating. Sliders sports grill is located on the north and south side of the complex. You can watch your childs game from inside of the restaurant from the windows, which is pretty awesome. You don't have to miss your child's game if you're grabbing a bite to eat or needing to go inside to cool off. Bring some cash for their gaming machines inside of the restaurant. The bar only offers seltzers and beer. Their Ben's soft pretzels are the best! If you like white queso, get a side of this for your pretzel, yum! We have enjoyed all of their food, so far nothing was bad. If your child needs some batting practice, check out their batting cages near the main entrance of the park. They have a playground located next to the south restaurant. This is a plus for children who are not in a tournament to entertain themselves. I do wish there was a playground next to the north restaurant. My son usually plays on north side so my 5 year old can't go over to the playground unless someone is willing to supervise. The complex also offers your indoor sports programs year around. They offer indoor soccer league play, soccer skills training, lacrosse, preschool classes and yoga. See you in the near future!

Notes: -For any tournaments hosted by outside organizations (not the town of Gilbert), there is a $5 fee at the gate for non-Gilbert residents age 16 and over. I was invited to D-Bat by my niece as she's training for her upcoming college softball season…read more It's nice to see indoor batting cages are available as it's quite miserable outdoors to be hitting balls for an hour. The cage we used was in good shape- the floors, the netting, etc. The speed, the type of pitch and the pitch location are all able to be selected prior to entering the cage from a screen outside. The pitches were quite accurate to the settings we chose and almost every pitch was a strike, so you're not wasting your time with poor pitches. The downsides were limited, but included waiting about 3-5mins for the machines to rotate between baseballs and softballs. I also found it difficult to time up the pitches as the tubing to deliver the ball to the machine was short and not completely transparent, and once the ball hit those wheels it was halfway to me. Being a guest, I'm not sure what the membership rates are or what the price for individual sessions cost, but my niece said it's reasonable. It was about the perfect amount of activity for us as we got to try each of the activities once. There's about 8 active games including a batting game, tennis game, QB throw, field goal kick, boxing, skiing, soccer and more. Most of the games have a scoreboard that will display your score and have the top scores of the all time, weekly and daily. It's fun to see your name up on the scoreboard even when your score may be pretty brutal compared to the all-time greats. The staff was very helpful in checking us in and letting us know how each game works. There's a few games that are pretty simple and others that require some setting up (like getting boots and strapped in for the skiing. I enjoyed the QB throw the most but it looked like the bouncy basketball court was the most popular while we were there. We went on the Friday night and it wasn't very crowded...only have to wait maybe 5 minutes for any activity to open up. The place was pretty clean except I did notice they didn't spray down to clean the batting helmets after each person...that was kind of gross to put on the helmet and feel some sogginess. This may be a fun place for holding a birthday party for kids as they have ice cream, cereal and party rooms overlooking the area. For me it's probably a one and done visit, but we need more places like this where kids and families and have some good indoor activities besides bounce parks.

It is geared towards children, however there were plenty of adults living out their pro sports aspirations. We paid $33 for 59 points (per person) with the All Star package. They gave us an hour time slot to use our points, but we ended up leaving 1.5 hours in with about 20 points left each on our accounts. It's pretty hard to spend your points and you have a time factor with waiting in (short) lines. We tried out their different sports activities to include a field goal simulation, batting cage, NFL combine relay, tennis, and even alpine skiing. Certain activities are solo but others you can compete as a team or 1 on 1. Some things to keep in mind: it's an indoor facility full of sweaty kids-so there's definitely an odor. There's a lot of items like baseball bats, baseball gloves, and helmets that everyone uses. I didn't see any hand sanitizer nor did I see employees sanitizing equipment. Some of the technology was malfunctioning and that impacted scoring, I witnessed numerous groups grow frustrated at the quarterback target practice simulation and the tennis game. There's a cafe inside and also tables to view or rest if you need a break. Looking closer at the facility I suspect they have a special area to host children's birthday parties. Overall, this is a fun spot for sports lovers of all ages!
