It's in Freestone Park and isn't necessarily hidden but if you don't live in the surrounding neighborhood you may not even realize it's there - I didn't (and I was looking). We have been here several times now and never had an issue. There are several cages and speeds to choose from, you can pay with coins or rent cage for a 1/2 or full hour. From what I can see the place is properly maintained and all machines are working and fairly consistent. This place is no frills but they do have plenty of loaner bats and helmets if you need them. They also have a small selection of drinks/water/Powerade etc if you need. This has become my sons favorite weekend activity so we will keep coming back. Good way to burn some time and calories and not break the bank. It's also hardly ever crowded so better than having to stand in line somewhere or deal with crowds. Looking for a good "old fashioned" batting cage in the East valley, this is your place. Cheers!

This used to be our favorite batting cage. We would go there a few times a week. It's a bit old and…read morerun down, and the pitches fluctuates, but the guys that worked there could always adjust it for us right away. I think they are under new management now. We went there yesterday, in one cage the pitches were way too high, and in the other cage, the pitches were way wide beyond reach, but we were told by the guy that worked there he can't adjust it himself. Somebody comes and does it once a week? And you are supposed to get 10 balls each time, the machine ran out of balls after the 3rd one. So disappointing. If it's going to be like this, we won't be going back.

We traveled into Gilbert, AZ from El Paso, TX for a USSSA Baseball Tournament at Cactus Yards over…read morethe weekend. A couple hours before our 1st game, we rented a couple cages at Legends for an hour to get the kids warmed up. This place is a class act. Clean, safe turf on the floors may not sound like much...but if you've ever tried to work/play on dirty or torn turn it's a big safety issue. The nets were in great condition and heavy enough from stopping line drives from pushing the nets into the next lane over. The pitching machines were very easy to use, enabling us to maximize our time while there. The gentlemen at the front was super helpful and accommodating and helped make our experience a great one. We'll be back in the next time we make the trip to Gilbert for a tournament!

He does give a lesson or two but he is the most unprofessional, unethical, unreliable person you will meet. He will offer you "packages" but then always cancels lessons with no notice or just doesn't show up. He scammed us out of over $1500 and, even though agreed and promised to, will not refund our money. He now won't respond and does everything possible to get money out of you. DONT DO IT. He is the exact example of what people warn you about. He was working out of Full count and Hitters House but I've heard he's also at Dingers. Stay away.

There is a $5 gate fee for anyone over the age of 16. They have 8 fields which have been built as replicas of famous ballparks and the field offers stadium style seating. Sliders sports grill is located on the north and south side of the complex. You can watch your childs game from inside of the restaurant from the windows, which is pretty awesome. You don't have to miss your child's game if you're grabbing a bite to eat or needing to go inside to cool off. Bring some cash for their gaming machines inside of the restaurant. The bar only offers seltzers and beer. Their Ben's soft pretzels are the best! If you like white queso, get a side of this for your pretzel, yum! We have enjoyed all of their food, so far nothing was bad. If your child needs some batting practice, check out their batting cages near the main entrance of the park. They have a playground located next to the south restaurant. This is a plus for children who are not in a tournament to entertain themselves. I do wish there was a playground next to the north restaurant. My son usually plays on north side so my 5 year old can't go over to the playground unless someone is willing to supervise. The complex also offers your indoor sports programs year around. They offer indoor soccer league play, soccer skills training, lacrosse, preschool classes and yoga. See you in the near future!

It has large fields with fun backdrops, an indoor restaurant with seats by the window so you can enjoy the game with air conditioning on those hot AZ days, and indoor bathrooms! They also serve beer, including a couple of craft beers on draft. That was exciting to me because I've never been able to drink a beer while watching a girls' softball tournament. I got a hazy IPA from Four Peaks, along with chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was good. Fries were lightly battered, which is not my preference, but they were still pretty good. Finished my food inside, but went back out to the stadium seats because you can't hear the game from inside, so it wasn't as exciting to watch. Notes: -For any tournaments hosted by outside organizations (not the town of Gilbert), there is a $5 fee at the gate for non-Gilbert residents age 16 and over. They do ask to see ID. -Online it says no food or drink allowed, except for water.

The machines only gave you one or two seconds to load into your swing before it threw a pitch, and seeing the ball come out of the machine was hard. The pitch machine was inconsistent at times, however when it fed a good pitch once in a while it was easy to hit. Sharing the machines does make for a pain trying to get into line and waiting. I understand it's busy which is ok, but maybe have more than 1 or 2 soft toss cages for people who just wanna work on their form instead of getting tossed into a machine pitch batting cage with no warmup. Prices are really good I will say, you definitely get your moneys worth. It's certainly not horrible, but if you're looking for better, there's a Scottsdale Batting Cage 20 minutes north off the 101 which has great machines, is very calm, and are versatile between soft toss and machine pitch at your own discretion.

This place was packed, but most of the other people were in the self throw cages. They were younger kids that looked to be on baseball or softball teams. It was raining that day, so possibly they go here when it's raining to throw inside. I liked the automated machines as they had a lot of options. You could pick baseball or softball. Then you can pick the speed of the ball, as well as higher or lower on height. Cool place
