*Review for the historical tour only* My Mom and I had the chance to experience the historical tour at the Biltmore. We did not stay overnight. If you have any interest in history, I highly recommend the historical tour at the Arizona Biltmore. Even if you've already visited the resort as a guest, the tour gives you a whole new appreciation for this iconic landmark. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing fascinating stories about the architecture, famous guests, and the resort's connection to Frank Lloyd Wright. The tour is an easy mix of indoor and outdoor stops, making it enjoyable even in the summer. One thing I wish had been handled differently was the billing. When I made my reservation, my Visa card was taken to hold our spot. At the end of the tour, I confirmed the cost was $30 per adult and was told that was correct, so I didn't think anything of it. It wasn't until the following day that I realized a 20% gratuity had already been added to my total. Our tour was absolutely worth tipping, and Ashley did a fantastic job. My concern isn't the gratuity itself--it's that it was never mentioned. Had I not checked my visa charge later, I could have easily tipped again in cash. A simple heads-up when checking out would have made the experience feel much more transparent. read more

This hotel is huge. There are multiple buildings and 7 pools spread out along the compound. It is a historic hotel, rich with history. They heavily use Frank Lloyd Wrights name everywhere they can, but he wasn't even the one who designed it, he did help, but it was his student. Yet Wright gets all the credit. It is gorgeous, lots of detail, everywhere. Gardens, history of the sprites, photos, there is a lot to take in. We went when there was a conference next door and it was chaotic. I'm not sure how often conferences happen, but there are a lot of people. Valet had a massive wait. Decided to park ourselves, was shocked how far away parking was, regretted not just waiting for valet. Lobby was packed, just crowds and crowds of people everywhere. Every seat was taken. Bar was packed. It was loud. Was able to check in early, the hotel really is massive, I would not recommend it to anyone who has trouble walking. It's just so spread out. Room was nice, decent amount of space, lots of seating. Outdoor area with propane fire pit. MY BIGGEST complaint. Was the bed, it seems to be the standard Hilton bedding, that they use at their lower tier hotels, awful pillows that go completely flat when you lay on them. Thin bedding. This is supposed to be considered a luxury hotel, yet they skipped over luxury bedding. It was a massive disappointment. Large variety of pool options, you have the big one, where the majority of people and kids are. 3 pools all in one area. Massive water slides. You have the adult pool, which was always packed, a DJ for a lot of the time. But my favorite were the quieter pools. The original pool was gorgeous, beautifully tiles, over 8 feet deep. Surrounded by trees. The next was the salt water, I am very sensitive to chemicals, and usually can not spend too much time in pools due to chlorine, but even their chlorine pools did not smell, or bother me. But I was happiest in the salt water, your skin feels better. It was also pretty quiet, a good amount of people there, but they were all keeping to themselves. My argument would be no one really takes care of the other pools, lots of dirty towels left on chairs from use throughout the day. Bin holding dirty towels is overflowed, some of the smaller pools didn't even have towels at all. I was surprised no one comes by to check on that. No drink service, or employees at all. Room services I don't think I would come back, just because there are so many other options in the area with their own specialities. I had mixed experiences with staff, some went all out, full smiles and personalities. Others, I assume were worn out from dealing with difficult guests, you could sense they were annoyed to help you. While I suggested options, to make things easier for them, they always wanted to go out of their way to help. Which I guess is good, and thats in theory what I was paying for, but I would have been ok making things easier for them, I've worked in service industry, I understand. read more

Had a package deal which included the Citrus Club. Made the stay almost all inclusive. The staff at the Citrus Bar were great and the food was good also. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a cottage room which was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the attached patio that was shared with another room. Overall it was a great experience and a beautiful property. We spent time at the Saguaro, adult only pool and the Ocatilla pool to keep cool during the day. Shops are pricey if you purchase anything there. read more

We enjoyed our time at the Az Biltmore! The pool is open 24/7 which was a plus. I like all the healthy options. Their gelato at the cafe was really good! The food was excellent but definitely very expensive. I'm not surprised it's the Biltmore. We had a great time, the people that work here were kind and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. We had a relaxing time and just loved our overall stay. Beautiful, historic hotel. Incredible desert landscaping throughout the property. Service was great on many levels. Stayed in the lobby wing which is part of the original hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Because of the history and keeping its original build, the windows and sliding glass doors are old and worn. Once again, if you have ever wanted to see this place Go, you will not be disappointed. I feel like there are a variety of options to make this place affordable, or go all out. The choice is yours! Rooms are so clean and beautifully decorated. I noticed there were accessory changes to the rooms this time and made everything look so nice and fresh. Plenty of food options on this resort as well. This time we chose the Citrus Club and really enjoyed the add-on package. It was so convenient to go in and out throughout the day. Food and drinks options were wonderful. Service is also top notch, so grateful to have met Marcel and team. I did do a little shopping at The Biltmore Shops and this is where hospitality could be improved. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted at all, an associate who I believe was named Kim was wrapped up with a customer in a lengthy conversation. I had to wait at the register to be rung up and then knock on a door where I thought I heard another employee in the back. She said sure I can ring you up. As we were checking out I heard another customer come in and was greeted by Kim. It feels like she is selective in who she will interact with. It was an uncomfortable feeling not once being asked for help, being welcomed in, and then needing to go find someone in the back room to check me out. The person who completed my check-out was wonderful. She apologized that no one was there to help me and that I had to ask for help. I let her know that she has been nothing but helpful and there's no need to apologize. At the end of our stay, I was sitting in the front lobby waiting for my husband when Matt with Valet approached me and asked if I needed a ride. I let him know that my husband was on his way. As we were talking he pulled up, I went to get up and he said let me help you out, I said I think I got it, he said nope I'm going that way and would love to. I really enjoyed our conversation and appreciated his high energy. It's been a few weeks since we stayed here and I think I still have a little of the glow remaining from our visit. We were here for four nights between Christmas and New Year's because we wanted a warm getaway and we were really impressed with our visit. Rolling up to the place was a little weird because GPS kept directing us to the back of some building rather than the main entrance and there was a lot of road construction going on, but once we followed the signs to the entrance, the great experience began. The valet team is awesome and we were quickly ushered into the hotel where check-in was equally a breeze. The representative at the desk made sure I knew that as a Diamond members, we were eligible for a complimentary coffee table book about the resort from the gift shop. We really appreciate that. We were able to stroll the grounds on our way to the room and were impressed with the cleanliness and the architecture. Our room in the Terrace Court building was nice...very spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. We were on the ground floor and we had a patio with a firepit. No view but there was a nice privacy hedge and we spent a lot of time keeping warm by the firepit each evening. The amenities matched the lovely room. In the Terrace Court building, there was a pool and a hot tub and it seemed almost like a private oasis right outside our door. Additionally, the Saguaro Pool was wonderful too...it was adults only and was quiet for the most part (except for one loud lady who did an entire crossword puzzle by shouting out the clues to her companions...I really just wanted to finish it for her so she'd stop yelling!). We rented a cabana one day and it was worth it. On nice days, the plentiful free chairs can fill up so it's nice to have a reserved space. Additionally, the service was excellent. We were there all day and had drinks, lunch, desserts, cocktails, etc. You really feel pampered. The Tierra Luna Spa is nice as well. I had a great massage and then a relaxing time in front of the fireplace in the spa area. It was very relaxing. Food and drink throughout the resort is nice. Cup and Cone was great for a quick coffee and breakfast. Lunch at McArthur's (see separate review) was really good. We ate at the Spire Bar a lot and have to say that the food was good but the Chocolate Mousse Martini (which was a mousse rather than a drink) was out of this world and I had a least one every day of my visit. Cocktails at The Wright Bar were also terrific. The evening we went there they had live music. With amazing drinks, exceptional service and wonderful music, it was the perfect vibe. Service was top notch across the board. There were a couple of experiences at the Spire Bar that didn't live up to expectations (I never get why servers just stand around with each other looking at their phones rather than helping their customers who have empty drinks and no food...their tips are bigger if they get people to buy more) but otherwise, every was so helpful and you can tell that the service culture is truly ingrained in how employees work and interact. Even when asking for something that was a bit of an exception (like having Chocolate Mousse Martini delivered to pool when it wasn't on pool menu) was handled very well. I don't know how to describe it but there was a consistent graciousness that left us feeling cared for. It was so nice. Sorry this was so long but I wanted to get across how this was one of our most memorable getaways and it was truly hard to leave this place. We loved it. read more

I've been staying at the Biltmore for the past 4 years every summer, but the service and inconsistency this year has been absolutely ridiculous. I booked a double queen room through Capital One Travel and was only offered a single king bed upon check-in. I was first told there was only ONE room available in the whole resort which meant I had not choice, but then was offered a different room shortly after. I was also told there was absolutely no more double rooms available and they were fully booked, however I had friends check-in after me later that night with double queens. Each time, the concierge helping me would have to go to the "back and check with management" because they knew they screwed up (and was trying to figure out how to mitigate it) or they had to get their story straight because they were feeding me lies on top of lies. As an extra kicker, they were not able to provide a rollaway bed and only a twin air mattress which obviously wasn't enough to accommodate all my guests. I ended up on the couch and was told they would move us to a room with two queens when it became available. By the third night, still nothing and they could only offer a twin rollaway bed. We also had friends they were given villas and one was infested with cockroaches. Another group was given a room and then moved to a villa because of remodeling. All around, inconsistent lies to hide their error and gaps in their booking/check-in process. read more

The beds were comfortable and I was truly amazed how quiet it was in my room. They have a few nice bars on site and both offered great options on tequila and sparking wine although very pricey. Wow. We came for a wedding and made it into a long weekend! This resort is stunning. The entire property has so much to offer and it's easy to get lost. The architecture is beautiful and the service is top notch. The room was perfect- large and great size bathroom for two people getting ready! Birthday Staycation Perfection at the Arizona Biltmore The Arizona Biltmore has been on my bucket list for years, and celebrating my 39th birthday here was everything I could have hoped for--and more. When my girlfriends asked how I wanted to celebrate, I knew my dream weekend was simple: relax in a plush robe, sip and savor without a care, and soak in the beauty of a truly iconic space. We booked a Citrus Club room through the staycation offer (highly recommend if you're local!). The Citrus Club access is worth it--endless bites and sips throughout the day, all seamlessly included in the room price. As a Hilton Gold member, I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a Cottage Suite. This private unit felt like our own little sanctuary, with thoughtful touches everywhere--even down to the espresso cups. Even though the Citrus Club had plenty to offer, we wandered down to Spire Bar for a late-night flatbread (delicious), before ending the evening in robes, curled up in bed with wine, watching Selling Sunset. Pure bliss. The next morning was my absolute favorite: robe on, espresso in hand, patio doors open to the sunshine. Honestly, that's how everyone should start their day. From start to finish, the Biltmore delivered on its legacy of luxury, charm, and relaxation. We had a wonderful stay here. The service was impeccable. Everything was clean and well manicured. I had a fantastic massage with Junko at the spa and my husband enjoyed a round on the Links course. We rented a car right from the Biltmore property and took a day trip to Sedona. Highly recommend the Citrus Club. Multiple pools to choose from (small and quiet to the spiral slide with lots of kids to the adults only pool). Every year in January we visit Scottsdale for work (my husband works and I relax). Usually we stay at the Palms but this year we switched it up and this hotel is a good reason to try something new once in a while. Since I was here to just relax, I loved all the pool options. Multiple pools to choose from (adults only, kid area, huge slides). Something for everyone! And the pool areas are spread out so there is one accessible to your room no matter where you are staying on property. The one closest to my room was mixed-for adults and children and was open 24/7! Amazing!! Great way to end a late night-relax in the hot tub at midnight. The on site bars and restaurants were also plentiful and the food and drinks were so good! I will say though, the drinks are pricey! $28 for a mai tai is a bit high even for a hotel. If you are planning to be in your room for long periods of time, I also recommend asking for a 1st floor room with a fire pit. It was relaxing sitting outside on a mostly private patio with your own fire pit to drink coffee by and read in the mornings. Overall great experience! read more

Last weekend, my husband had a conference at the Biltmore. I came along to enjoy and relax at this beautiful historical resort. We stayed on the 4th floor at a King Bed Resort Room. To my surprise, it was very spacious. There was also a sitting area for 2 and an empty useful refrigerator for guests in the suite. We didn't have much of a view since we faced south and right over the roof below but it was still nice to open up the fully darkening curtains in the morning to bring in light as the room was a bit dim. The closet space was nice with plenty of hangers. There's a safe, robes, iron & board and extra bedding inside as well. In the bathroom they didn't skimp on the towels either. I ended up walking all around the ample resort, enjoying all the winding trails and beautiful plants, art sculptures and design of the buildings. I haven't been back since the renovations and I may add that all of the additions are an asset to the facility. We were at the main pool party one night, which is new and extremely enjoyable. Perfect for the occasion. Another day, I spent most of the day at the slide pool. The service there was attentive and they always came around with extra water for additional hydration. It was very much appreciated on a hot AZ summer day!! The parking is a little bit of a hike and it wasn't included into the price of our stay which was a little disappointing. One night we had an incident finding a fairly large bug in our closet but after calling the front desk it was quickly resolved. Considering we are in the middle of the desert, it is to be except. Since my husband still had his conference going on during our check out, I wanted to stay on property and still have access to the facilities. I was able to grab a Citrus Room card from the front desk upon check out from a very nice hotel member. I spent the rest of my time on my laptop at the Citrus Room and I can't say enough wonderful things about all the ladies there!! Beyond attentive!! Believe me, it is so worth it especially upon check out and if you're not flying out immediately. You can comfortably sit at any of the sitting areas and work, read or whatever while you are offered many delectable food items and drinks. At the end of the night we even made friends with a couple from the UK and took a group picture with the ladies from the Citrus Room....and that's how we closed down the night. We finally stayed at the iconic Arizona Biltmore for a Father's Day weekend staycation, and it totally lived up to the hype. The place is beautiful, full of history, and the architecture is classic Frank Lloyd Wright. Our room was clean and comfy, with a nice mix of old-school charm and modern updates. There are plenty of places to eat and shop, as well as a big lawn area where families can relax and hang out. They also have seven different pools to choose from, so we hit the adults-only one after dinner--which was perfect. We ended the night at Spire Bar with wings and loaded fries. The wings had a solid dry rub --flavorful without the mess. The fries were good, but a little soggy from the dark lager queso they put on top. Overall, it was a really great experience. If you're looking to treat yourself at one of Hilton's LXR properties, the Biltmore definitely delivers. read more

The majority of the staff is amazing - warm, friendly, helpful! A particular shout out to Cameron at the front desk who was so nice and warm when we checked in late and tired and every day we saw him. We stayed in the Ocotillo building which seemed sooooo far away from the lobby but when we discovered the salt water Ocotillo pool we were delighted. Room 6135 was close to the pool and had a fire pit but the bathroom is very odd- the door to the bathroom and the door to the shower and the door to the toilet are all in such close proximity to each other that going in and out is a bit of a tight endeavor. read more

Upon researching my list of FLLW places - I noticed the AZ Biltmore which I also found was a Hilton property. Reminded me of our stay in Maui. Totally inclusive resort with very luxurious options. We stayed in the Valley Wing - which had a pool side view and a fire pit on the balcony. Very very nice grounds and you can just tell they go the extra mile on just about everything. My husband and I did a staycation here and rented a room with a fire pit. The resort and property are beautiful and well maintained. The main pool area is also very nice. Minus 1 star because the parking is super far away and it's not convenient at all. Also- they don't have any smore's kits or sticks to roast marshmallows so we had to hike to our car to go to the store to find some. When I learned that my grandkids were coming to spend the week with me for spring break, I started researching some fun things to do. Using ResortPass, we booked a cabana at the Paradise pool. The process was pretty seamless- we received many reminders from ResortPass up through the date of arrival. We were told it was from 10 AM to 8 PM, so we arrived a few minutes before 10 AM. It looks like this is a pretty popular option to enjoy the resort. We checked in at the concierge desk and they sent us on our way to the pool with our key and wristbands. It did take a bit to find a person who could tell us what cabana we were assigned to as the entire staff was in a meeting until 10:15 at the bar area. We had two anxious little ones ready to get in the pool, so that was a little frustrating, but as soon as the meeting was over, the gentleman with the clipboard identified our cabana and took us to our spot. There really weren't any instructions on how to order food or anything like that so eventually, we just flagged down a person who was serving the pool area and she said she would take care of us for the day. If you do use ResortPass, make sure you print out your entitlements as ours included a bowl of snacks, a fruit tray, (which was all watermelon), and a bottle of sparkling wine. I did have to ask for each item at least once, but they did bring everything at some point throughout the day. I did overhear another patron stating that you can call the concierge at the hotel directly instead of going through ResortPass. We'll have to check that next time to see if there are similar inclusions. The cabana itself was spotless, it had a couch that could seat three, refrigerator, a safe, a TV, which was really nice when the kids needed a break from the sun. There was also a bathroom with a sliding barn door and a shower With Spa toiletries. He did have to be a little careful as the gap between the barn door and the wall method if someone was sitting on the far right of the couch, they could see right into the toilet area. It was really nice to be able to shower the kids off after the day and get the chemicals and such out of their hair and prepared to go out to dinner. We did order lunch- they did have a couple options for the kids and I've posted pictures of the menus as well. When our two older children arrived, we did the pitcher of skinny margaritas for a whopping $95, but you only live once, lol. The refrigerator was also stocked with waters and Powerade, which was really nice! There are two loungers in front of the cabana, as well as a dining table for four out front so there was plenty of room for our four adults and two children. There is also a huge umbrella over the patio chairs that you can use, which was nice to have in the heat of the afternoon The food we ordered was a grilled fish sandwich which was exceptionally good and the hummus plate. While this particular hummus plate does not compare to what we had last time at Saguaro Pool (adult pool on property) It was still tasty. The kids gobbled up their grilled cheese sandwiches and said the fries were also fantastic. The snack basket included several bags of a variety of popcorn and chips, as well as some trail mix and other goodies, I posted a picture of that as well Service was very good and we were checked on approximately every 20 to 25 minutes. The kids absolutely loved playing in all three pools, nothing is a depth greater than 4'6" and they loved the waterslides! The pool was kept at a wonderful warm temperature so they literally swam for eight hours. We did go on a weekday and I noted that the cabanas were only about 30% occupied so they seem to have quite a bit of availability. It truly was a brilliant way to spend a day with the grandkids during their spring break and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The campus is large and walker friendly with an array of amenities. The food in the various restaurants was so delicious, with Renata's Hearth being my favorite. Five of us went to the outdoor restaurant and had very slow service. An Aperol Spritz and a salad was $50 , without tip. The salad was not memorable and the seating was terribly uncomfortable. I had invited several friends to go look at the beautiful architecture of the this landmark, but was dismayed to see that a recent effort to update the decor failed miserably. Don't know who in the world they hired, but they've diminished the look of a beautiful hotel. The multitude of patterns on the textiles is dizzying and they don't leave any Corner untouched. The style of furniture in no way supports the Elegance of this 1929 building. It's completely cluttered. Wishing the mgm company the best in finding a credible design firm to properly decorate this gorgeous property. read more

Indiana Jones meets the Waldorf Astoria. I kid you not, the lobby looks like a set from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Biltmore. Anyway, we stayed here recently for three nights. Valet will cost you around $40 and self-parking is not much cheaper. Decent sized room. We had a two queen setup. Nice bathroom, everything clean. Housekeeping was on it. A multitude of nice pools. Some are adult only. Some have bar and food service. Several bars/restaurants on site which range from meh to pretty good. Ok, so large Arizona resorts seem to have the same down sides. Sprawling grounds with confusing signage and hard to find buildings, day passes for non-guests, exorbitant pricing. No different here, but this joint is nice despite the downers. For such a beautiful place and area this Sid not live up to the hype. They had some great summer deals so we did a staycation. We called ahead asking for a crib and when we checked in they said it would be in the room. Upon entering there was no crib and when we called down they said there was no note on our reservation for a crib, extremely disappointing in that service. They had a few bars and restaurants. We went out for drinks at a bar and also had terrible service. I ended up going to the main bar asking to make an order and they rudly told me to sit and wait but it has been about 15minutes. Drink was sangria for 23 dollars and very disappointing flavore. The gelato place was just okay and 8 dollars for one scoop. We did room service for breakfast and we're shocked when we saw a delivery and service fee at a very high rate. Overall all the food and drinks were very expensively overpriced. They had three pools but so many people just dropped a dtowl to reserve and were nowhere to be seen that it was nearly impossible to get seats together overall less than average experience. read more

Update: I left the same review on TripAdvisor, and instead of taking any responsibility, the GM straight-up gaslit me -- dismissing my concerns, blaming third-party bookings, and telling me to book directly to get benefits they agreed to provide through the Amex partnership. They claim to maintain a quiet environment but openly sell day passes to non-guests, which is complete BS. Will not stay here again and would not reccomend this "resort" to anyone. Original review: I last stayed at the Biltmore about 12 years ago and loved it. Having grown up in Phoenix, the Biltmore has always held a special place for me, which made it extra disappointing to have such a terrible stay last weekend. I booked my stay through the Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts program, which promised perks like 12pm early check-in (when available), a room upgrade, and a $100 resort credit. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to these expectations. First off, we were not offered an upgrade, even though we overheard a bellhop say the hotel wasn't very busy that weekend. To add insult to injury, another couple checked in at the same time with a different front desk agent and not only got an early noon check-in but also an upgrade. We, on the other hand, had to wait. My husband checked in while I waited in the car on crutches, as I currently have a broken ankle. Despite him mentioning this to the front desk, we were given the room farthest from parking -- which meant a tough walk in 110-degree heat. Parking was another disappointment -- $28 for self-parking felt like highway robbery, especially considering it was a 10 minute walk from the garage to the room. On top of that, we passed multiple staff members as we were struggling with luggage and mobility, but no one offered assistance or even a simple greeting. In fact, staff indifference was a common theme throughout our stay. I get that working at a resort in Phoenix summer is not fun as I've done it, but to not even give a basic "hello" to guests seems surprising for a hotel that bills itself as "luxury". The only positive staff interactions I had were with the hostess at Macarthurs's and our waitress (I believe her name was Sherri). Navigation around the hotel was confusing due to poor signage. The pools were overcrowded with non-guests purchasing day passes, making them unusable for the first two days of our stay. The Spire Bar and Wright Bar were so packed on our first night that we also were unable to enjoy them. The pillows in the bed were flat and offered no support, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The food and beverage prices were high, and the quality was disappointing, especially compared to other Phoenix resorts. Having stayed at the Andaz through FHR last summer during the same weekend, I can say it was leaps and bounds better in both service and quality. I also stayed at Four Seasons Kona last year had their F&B prices were similar, which one would expect for HI and not Phoenix, not to mention the FS offered far superior quality. Finally, the $100 FHR property credit that was supposed to be included was not applied correctly to our charges, which was frustrating. Overall, I expected so much more from this property and would hesitate to recommend it to others looking for a luxury experience. read more

Went to the Arizona Biltmore for a birthday staycation. The property is beautiful. I love the art deco vibe. All the staff was amazing! Every staff member we walked by greeted us. This resort is very family friendly. There are a few pools including 21+ pools, which is great for guests without kids. I also enjoyed the outdoor bar/lawn area. Our room was spacious and very clean. My only complaint is the parking. The parking is a bit of a distance from the resort. If you have elderly or disabled guests I suggest either valet parking or dropping them off at the front of the resort. read more

Came here for a work trip and though i typically frequent Marriott hotels - I have been consistently impressed with Hilton brand hotels this year! As a gold status I was given an upgrade to a beautiful newly renovated suite which had a large living area, two patios, large bedroom and bathroom! It was all beautifully appointed and very clean!! Bed was extremely comfortable and room was quiet! The staff were the standouts, everyone was so nice! The property is huge and requires quite a bit of walking and navigation but there was always someone available to help guide me to my room! They have room service - the choices are somewhat limited especially if you are vegetarian or vegan but what they do have is tasty! Very nice property and exceptional service! read more

I can't say enough about the amazing attention we recieved from Rebecca. We had friends in from Goldcoast Queensland Australia and wanted to show them the Biltmore after dinner at the Wrigley Mansion. Rebecca went out of her way to show us the mystery room, the history room, gold room and the Aztec room. Walking is through the history of the hotel. She is the epitome of the Biltmore and what it means to make your guests feel welcomed. As locals, we'll be sure to do our staycations at the Biltmore! Thank you Rebecca!! read more

Beware! My stomach turns over every time I remember a staycation here. I was not offered the promotional deal when I checked in on site and told I was given "a good rate" when I was charged 50% a markup. I booked the promotional rate when I got settled under a new reservation and wow--I wish i'd never booked one night here! I had to move rooms three times because they put me in rooms that hadn't had seen a deep clean in years. One room had visible water damage and a musty odor, the air quality alone was a health hazard and not up to Arizona standards. With seconds of entering I was opening the window for fresh breathable air, my shirt was soiled with black soot from the window. The second room was better the first day, but on the second when a personal item fell behind the a credenza I discovered a dead roach about 2.5" in size on the floor behind it along with a 4' L X 2" strip of thick 1" dark gray dust/dirt mix accumulated behind the entire credenza, along previous guest missing personal items. I've never seen such filth in my life I still feel thick when i remember I was sleeping there for two nights prior not knowing. Housekeeping earlier ignored my note and when seeing the mess-refused to vacuum and call engineering to dispose of the roach and retrieve the item, and actually attempted to get out of vacuuming up the dirt and dust. I had to firmly require it's done and leave the room before she could finish arguing. Front desk said they were moving me to a third room, and would transfer my reservation details to the new room number and have the manager call me and explain the fees/charges they would credit. I found out on the way over from the bellhop its the Ocotillo Building the furthest away, which is five minutes away from the main building. Upon entry there was the strongest odor of what smelled like men's cologne or a masking scent by housekeeping, which finally disappeared after running the HVAC fan on the highest setting and leaving the doors open all day. I wasn't able to enjoy this room for the day while this was happening. When I finally got down at the pool at night --there was an odor of Raid bug spray so prominent around the outdoor shower I used and pool -- I couldn't tolerate it and it's all I could smell the rest of the night. I was also sprayed in the face directly by the air freshener just sitting in a resort waiting chair by the door, which wasn't great. Lack of adequate signage around the back building meant i wasted a lot of my time retracting steps. I also noticed I had left an expensive orthopedic pillow left when fleeing the roach room. I let the front desk know I will have terrible neck pain and sleepless nights without it and they said they would look for it and it would be handled, and they did nothing as I waited the remainder of the two days left in my stay to hear back from the manager and front desk staff on both the compensation and pillow, but never did. At checkout, the front desk clerk neglected to follow up with security on my missing item, confer with housekeeping with my later 11:30pm checkout time (so i had them barging in my room) or close out and present both of my Folios. She actually laughed in my face and said "go ahead" when I said a 50$ credit feels like an insult and not going to stop me from writing a review. Later at home I found out a room reservation was still open and charging me. I had to freeze my card and order a new one because of fraud charges. Major communication and follow up failures among front desk, management, housekeeping, and security. I think it's safe to say I will never stay here, swim here or eat here ever again. I will say staff in dining and the bell hops do an OK job if you're a patient person then you should be fine. Food and drink is mediocre and expensive, but predictable. The rest -- no thank you. I typically stay at Boulders, Andaz and Mountain Shadows. Never had an issue -- not one. Stay away. read more

Arizona Biltmore AZB is a GORGEOUS property that deserves a spot in your bucket list. This is the second LXR resort we've had the pleasure of staying at, and it certainly will not be our last. ** ROOM REDEMPTION ** As Diamond members and credit card holders, we used our FNC and points to book a weekend stay. I had reached out to their concierge via email requesting a room with a tub and was very pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a king room in their renovated Ocatilla Wing. ** CONCIERGE/GUEST SERVICES** Noelle S. deserves a very special shout out for making our stay extra memorable. I informed her we were celebrating my partner's birthday and she had sent us a bottle of sparkling white wine, a box of shortbread cookies and heart-shaped chocolates, and an adorable ringtail cat plush adorned with an AZB bow (I told her I collect toys from Conrad, Waldorf, and LXR resorts and was so, so elated for this.) It was a very nice touch and I also love the handwritten card. Additionally, concierge was available by text message which is a truly convenient communication measure and the front desk was committed to providing excellent service from having housekeeping items delivered to even extending to complimentary late check out on the final day of our stay without having to call in hours before checkout. ** OCATILLA KING ROOM ** While this isn't exactly published as a suite, the room itself is equipped with a separate tub and walk-in shower, backlit mirror with adjustable modes in the bathroom, dual sinks, a separate water closet, a dry bar equipped with stemware, a nespresso machine with La Colombe products, a mini fridge, sizable closet with shoe cubbies, safe, additional bedding, several drawers in the bedroom, a sectional, dining couch and table, a plush king sized bed, large nightstands with built-in charging ports for USB-A, USB-C, and a standard outlet plug, and a Juliet balcony! ** AMENITIES ** While we didn't have an opportunity to partake, there are 7 total pools at the resort and Ocatilla has its own dedicated pool along with an adults-only pool, Saguaro. They're open 24/7 and heated to 82-84° year-round, so we definitely plan on bringing swimwear next time we visit. ** RESTAURANTS ** - Renata's Hearth -- Latin-inspired fine dining. We had Chilean seabass, tomahawk, and esquites with corn and flour tortillas. Service was slow but food was impeccable. - McArthur's Restaurant -- casual restaurant and bar with foosball, billiard's. Had tuna tartare nachos that were dry and left something to be desired as well as the AZ Craft Burger which featured a Wagyu beef patty, whiskey-candied bacon, pepper jack cheese, and jalapeños and was an absolute 10/10. Would not really recommend due to pricing unless you have a dining credit to use. - Cup and Cone -- ice cream and coffee shop with refrigerated items like beverages, ice cream pints, and salads, but limited opening hours. Ordered the strawberry cheesecake cone for $8 and was quite delicious! I wish I had purchased their branded AZB Veuve Clicquot gift sets. *** PARKING *** - Self parking - $18 daily max, $10 for the first four hours. This is quite a walk to the lobby so be prepared! The good news is that it's a covered garage structure so you won't be parking under the sun - Valet also available, did not recall price. *** DIAMOND BENEFITS *** - $25/person daily food credit (myway benefit) available at all food outlets and in-room dining. Just charge it to the room and they will apply the credits appropriately - Complimentary checkout to 12pm if available - Room upgrades if available, we booked the standard room *** OVERALL *** I was so grateful to finally have the chance to stay at the beautiful resort and very much look forward to my next visit. Loved the architecture, the water slides, the pools, and the food/drinks. The staff were excellent, so helpful and friendly. Everyone was great about greeting you any time you passed. Really really good customer service. I felt the prices for things were on the higher side for what you got, but it didn't stop us! I wish they had EV chargers readily accessible. Had to find somewhere else to charge and I feel most luxury hotels are equipped with chargers by us. read more

Had a wonderful experience at this incredibly storied and beautiful property! The hospitality is exactly what you would hope for, and the architecture and services are completely in line with a hotel of this caliber. A couple of big callouts were the guided hiking tour that you can book through the Biltmore, the tour guide was exceptional, his knowledge of the hotel, and the area surrounding it, the flora and the fauna along the trip, and his hospitality and generosity were just some of the reasons it was such an incredible and wonderful experience. The hospitality staff at the hotel were truly some of the friendliest I've ever encountered. They were also genuine in their hospitality, well I'm sure there was a lot of training involved, it's also evident in their hiring practices for just hiring really nice people. read more

A recent remodel has added new amenities to the historic resort hotel. We stayed in a remodeled Terrace room with a bonus firepit. We liked the firepit, and did toast marshmallows tho it was 100 degrees plus in mid September. The Terrace pool and hot tub was close to our room, as was the adults only pool, Saguaro Pool. The newish Spire Bar is a fabulous outdoor bar with some firepit seating. The drinks are good and inventive, and $25-30! I was able to enjoy the pool & grounds early, while waiting for my sister to arrive, before the designated 4 pm check in time. After consulting with the concierge, I found out I could leave my luggage with the bell desk and receive a pool key. What great service! I visited a few of the 7 pools, which weren't too busy. It's nice to have so many pool options, and the smaller pools were less crowded. My stay was with a Hilton Honors reward, and comes with a $50 dining credit for 2 guests. We had happy hour at MacArthur's, which was a great deal with the dining credit. Very good chips, guac and salsa. The gift shop has a nice selection of logo items and sundries such as snacks and beverages. Parking is not complimentary, it's either valet or a garage which is a bit of a walk from the hotel. read more

The remodel of this place turned a cool aging place into a real stunner. Everything shines with golden tones, cool architectural bricks, stained glass, cool art work and beautiful grounds. The food I had here was all good but spendy. The drinks are creative and also spendy. The new Spite bar is a great meeting place with lots of seating and fire pits. The room itself in the Paradise wing was beautiful with nice amenities and comfortable furnishings. The bed was a little hard for me but some would love it. The bathroom has a large walk in shower and a separate toilet room. The only real downside to my room on the 4th floor is that it opened onto a balcony that is shared with all the rooms on that side of the building. This means that you don't have any real privacy and you can't sleep with your door opened. The rooms on the second floor have the same issue. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and unlike some places the whole place was very well staffed. I would stay here again, particularly if I could find a good rate. read more
