Cool Old Fashioned presentation with the smoke in each bottle

Beautiful, historic hotel. Incredible desert landscaping throughout the property. Service was great on many levels. Stayed in the lobby wing which is part of the original hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Because of the history and keeping its original build, the windows and sliding glass doors are old and worn. Fun Spire bar and patio, good restaurants, and wonderful whiskey lobby bar. Bartender and bar back were incredibly knowledgeable and mixed tasty beverages.

It's been a few weeks since we stayed here and I think I still have a little of the glow remaining from our visit. We were here for four nights between Christmas and New Year's because we wanted a warm getaway and we were really impressed with our visit. Rolling up to the place was a little weird because GPS kept directing us to the back of some building rather than the main entrance and there was a lot of road construction going on, but once we followed the signs to the entrance, the great experience began. The valet team is awesome and we were quickly ushered into the hotel where check-in was equally a breeze. The representative at the desk made sure I knew that as a Diamond members, we were eligible for a complimentary coffee table book about the resort from the gift shop. We really appreciate that. We were able to stroll the grounds on our way to the room and were impressed with the cleanliness and the architecture. Our room in the Terrace Court building was nice...very spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. We were on the ground floor and we had a patio with a firepit. No view but there was a nice privacy hedge and we spent a lot of time keeping warm by the firepit each evening. The amenities matched the lovely room. In the Terrace Court building, there was a pool and a hot tub and it seemed almost like a private oasis right outside our door. Additionally, the Saguaro Pool was wonderful too...it was adults only and was quiet for the most part (except for one loud lady who did an entire crossword puzzle by shouting out the clues to her companions...I really just wanted to finish it for her so she'd stop yelling!). We rented a cabana one day and it was worth it. On nice days, the plentiful free chairs can fill up so it's nice to have a reserved space. Additionally, the service was excellent. We were there all day and had drinks, lunch, desserts, cocktails, etc. You really feel pampered. The Tierra Luna Spa is nice as well. I had a great massage and then a relaxing time in front of the fireplace in the spa area. It was very relaxing. Food and drink throughout the resort is nice. Cup and Cone was great for a quick coffee and breakfast. Lunch at McArthur's (see separate review) was really good. We ate at the Spire Bar a lot and have to say that the food was good but the Chocolate Mousse Martini (which was a mousse rather than a drink) was out of this world and I had a least one every day of my visit. Cocktails at The Wright Bar were also terrific. The evening we went there they had live music. With amazing drinks, exceptional service and wonderful music, it was the perfect vibe. Service was top notch across the board. There were a couple of experiences at the Spire Bar that didn't live up to expectations (I never get why servers just stand around with each other looking at their phones rather than helping their customers who have empty drinks and no food...their tips are bigger if they get people to buy more) but otherwise, every was so helpful and you can tell that the service culture is truly ingrained in how employees work and interact. Even when asking for something that was a bit of an exception (like having Chocolate Mousse Martini delivered to pool when it wasn't on pool menu) was handled very well. I don't know how to describe it but there was a consistent graciousness that left us feeling cared for. It was so nice. Sorry this was so long but I wanted to get across how this was one of our most memorable getaways and it was truly hard to leave this place. We loved it.

We had a wonderful stay here. The service was impeccable. Everything was clean and well manicured. I had a fantastic massage with Junko at the spa and my husband enjoyed a round on the Links course. We rented a car right from the Biltmore property and took a day trip to Sedona. Highly recommend the Citrus Club. Multiple pools to choose from (small and quiet to the spiral slide with lots of kids to the adults only pool). We had a lovely outdoor dinner at Renata (the hard shell chocolate covered chocolate mousse was amazing). Special thanks to the Dir. of Rooms and the concierge team for making our stay special. Take the history tour if you have time!

Wow. We came for a wedding and made it into a long weekend! This resort is stunning. The entire property has so much to offer and it's easy to get lost. The architecture is beautiful and the service is top notch. The room was perfect- large and great size bathroom for two people getting ready! We used the pickleball courts and the pools (including the water slides) and had a blast! Can't even begin to tell you about the gym! I wish I could've stayed longer!

10/10 experience! Came here last week for my birthday and when I say the Arizona Biltmore is that GIRL?!! This hotel gives main character energy! She's large, spacious, luxurious, and just top tier from service to decor throughout the property. I actually have nothing negative to say about this place. I was comfortable, food and drinks were delicious, room was clean and was cleaned twice a day, gym is modern, and the pool area was relaxing to hang out by. Thank you Arizona Biltmore for an incredible experience that I will never forget!

Birthday Staycation Perfection at the Arizona Biltmore The Arizona Biltmore has been on my bucket list for years, and celebrating my 39th birthday here was everything I could have hoped for--and more. When my girlfriends asked how I wanted to celebrate, I knew my dream weekend was simple: relax in a plush robe, sip and savor without a care, and soak in the beauty of a truly iconic space. We booked a Citrus Club room through the staycation offer (highly recommend if you're local!). The Citrus Club access is worth it--endless bites and sips throughout the day, all seamlessly included in the room price. As a Hilton Gold member, I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a Cottage Suite. This private unit felt like our own little sanctuary, with thoughtful touches everywhere--even down to the espresso cups. Even though the Citrus Club had plenty to offer, we wandered down to Spire Bar for a late-night flatbread (delicious), before ending the evening in robes, curled up in bed with wine, watching Selling Sunset. Pure bliss. The next morning was my absolute favorite: robe on, espresso in hand, patio doors open to the sunshine. Honestly, that's how everyone should start their day. From start to finish, the Biltmore delivered on its legacy of luxury, charm, and relaxation. It was the perfect birthday getaway with my girls--10/10, bucket-list worthy, and an Arizona staycation I'll never forget.

Every year in January we visit Scottsdale for work (my husband works and I relax). Usually we stay at the Palms but this year we switched it up and this hotel is a good reason to try something new once in a while. Since I was here to just relax, I loved all the pool options. Multiple pools to choose from (adults only, kid area, huge slides). Something for everyone! And the pool areas are spread out so there is one accessible to your room no matter where you are staying on property. The one closest to my room was mixed-for adults and children and was open 24/7! Amazing!! Great way to end a late night-relax in the hot tub at midnight. The on site bars and restaurants were also plentiful and the food and drinks were so good! I will say though, the drinks are pricey! $28 for a mai tai is a bit high even for a hotel. If you are planning to be in your room for long periods of time, I also recommend asking for a 1st floor room with a fire pit. It was relaxing sitting outside on a mostly private patio with your own fire pit to drink coffee by and read in the mornings. Overall great experience!

The Arizona Biltmore is beautiful and welcoming. The experience was amazing from the valet staff, to the delight aroma upon entering. The campus is large and walker friendly with an array of amenities. The food in the various restaurants was so delicious, with Renata's Hearth being my favorite. This was a surprise birthday trip and I plan to return.

Last weekend, my husband had a conference at the Biltmore. I came along to enjoy and relax at this beautiful historical resort. We stayed on the 4th floor at a King Bed Resort Room. To my surprise, it was very spacious. There was also a sitting area for 2 and an empty useful refrigerator for guests in the suite. We didn't have much of a view since we faced south and right over the roof below but it was still nice to open up the fully darkening curtains in the morning to bring in light as the room was a bit dim. The closet space was nice with plenty of hangers. There's a safe, robes, iron & board and extra bedding inside as well. In the bathroom they didn't skimp on the towels either. I ended up walking all around the ample resort, enjoying all the winding trails and beautiful plants, art sculptures and design of the buildings. I haven't been back since the renovations and I may add that all of the additions are an asset to the facility. We were at the main pool party one night, which is new and extremely enjoyable. Perfect for the occasion. Another day, I spent most of the day at the slide pool. The service there was attentive and they always came around with extra water for additional hydration. It was very much appreciated on a hot AZ summer day!! The parking is a little bit of a hike and it wasn't included into the price of our stay which was a little disappointing. One night we had an incident finding a fairly large bug in our closet but after calling the front desk it was quickly resolved. Considering we are in the middle of the desert, it is to be except. Since my husband still had his conference going on during our check out, I wanted to stay on property and still have access to the facilities. I was able to grab a Citrus Room card from the front desk upon check out from a very nice hotel member. I spent the rest of my time on my laptop at the Citrus Room and I can't say enough wonderful things about all the ladies there!! Beyond attentive!! Believe me, it is so worth it especially upon check out and if you're not flying out immediately. You can comfortably sit at any of the sitting areas and work, read or whatever while you are offered many delectable food items and drinks. At the end of the night we even made friends with a couple from the UK and took a group picture with the ladies from the Citrus Room....and that's how we closed down the night. Thank you for a lovely stay!! I highly recommend staying at the AZ Biltmore.

We finally stayed at the iconic Arizona Biltmore for a Father's Day weekend staycation, and it totally lived up to the hype. The place is beautiful, full of history, and the architecture is classic Frank Lloyd Wright. Our room was clean and comfy, with a nice mix of old-school charm and modern updates. There are plenty of places to eat and shop, as well as a big lawn area where families can relax and hang out. They also have seven different pools to choose from, so we hit the adults-only one after dinner--which was perfect. We ended the night at Spire Bar with wings and loaded fries. The wings had a solid dry rub --flavorful without the mess. The fries were good, but a little soggy from the dark lager queso they put on top. Overall, it was a really great experience. If you're looking to treat yourself at one of Hilton's LXR properties, the Biltmore definitely delivers.

Maydeline at the Spa was very helpful and very in touch with guest needs. One step ahead everytime. Colin really saved the day with making sure we had everything we needed. Brennan was also really helpful at breakfast and bringing us water all the way to the retreat pool. There was a minor hiccup with requesting ice while we were there but they did take care of it and apologized the next day for it not being done promptly, the acknowledgement was great and it really was such a minor thing. They have lots of activities everyday that are included and they also have experiences you can pay for.

The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.

Turns out with the room you can get an arm band that can be for the day of check-in and then extends to through to the next day -- which was so much fun. So a few things to cover about this great JW Marriott. They have self parking which is $30 day or you can do valet which is $50 overnight -- the valet is kind of worth it because the self parking lot is a bit of a hike. Also the valet is pretty quick -- I never waited longer than 5 minutes for my car. The lobby is expansive and has two levels. They were passing out freshly baked cookies near the registration desk when we checked in! I had called for an early check in and my room was ready by 1pm. There was a bit of a line at the registration but it was a Friday and to be expected. As soon as we checked in we made a b-line for the water park/pools. There was someone checking purses before you entered -- I guess just to make sure no food or outside drink? They also wouldn't let my son bring in his football. It was already around 2pm and the place was filling up quickly -- all of the chairs around the lazy river were taken but we were able to find some chairs by the hot tub -- I guess not many people wanted to be near the hot tub on a 100 degree day -- which was great since we were kind of away from the crowds (but also no service even after asking a waiter to send someone over near the hot tub). The hot tub is huge and is overlooking the golf course -- there is a little pond there too and the kids were all fascinated by the fish (but you can't go into the pond). There was also some cool bird watching too. The lazy river is so much fun and we spent the majority of our time in the lazy river. There are three slides -- two that you go down without a tube and one that you can go down on a tube in tandem. My son convinced me to go on the slide together and it was scary but fun. There is also another pool that is just a pool -- more adults than kids. I did notice they have a splash pad for kids too -- something for everyone! Aqua Nights -- during the summer they have the water park open until 10pm. They switch the tubes over to lit up flamingo, dinosaur and donut tubes and there are lights everywhere and a big speaker with music. Totally different vibe than the daytime but super fun -- also we had no idea they were going to have a drone light show -- that was so cool -- My pics turned out really bad though, LOL. I did notice that you can buy separate day passes for the water park and for aqua nights -- it is pretty pricey though, I would suggest a ResortPass instead -- much more affordable but also so much fun worth it either way. The hotel room was standard but I think all the rooms have a little balcony which is super nice since my son sleeps for hours and I wake up early. The beds though were so amazingly comfortable -- I actually slept longer than I normally do! I did go down to Starbucks in the lobby for coffee in the morning and found the little desert botanical garden walk -- it is not long but there are some really cool saguaros and some other beautiful desert plants. The hotel literally has something for everyone -- we didn't even explore half of it. The resort fee also comes with balls to go to the driving range and there is a spa -- I need to come back and really explore a lot more but the water park is sooo much fun! We didn't check out any of the restaurants because we spent so much time at the water park they were closed (and we had to drive over to the desert ridge mall to find dinner) by the time we were done swimming. The restaurants look really nice though. Also there is an arcade off the registration area in the lobby and down a bunch of stairs -- that was fun! Biggest complaint is that the food and drinks (we only ate at the water park) were outrageously expensive -- and not amazing. The fries are pretty good but don't let them sit too long or they get all soggy in the hot Phoenix air.

I ordered 2 food items and pre paid for 3 beers the bill came out to $52.18 I didn't think much of it and even tipped 25% After I finished my third beer. I decided to order a cookie with ice cream and an old fashioned to take up to my room. Again I tipped 25% My phone has text alert and I noticed the bill was $42.62 for what should have been $22.00 max I bought it to my bar tenders attention and she was working things out on the registry and came back with a receipt that didn't have prices just my order but she had added 1 extra beer. I told her it was wrong and she said it wasn't that the first time she had only charged me for 2 beers and this was my third beer. I did not want to argue so I left it at that but I couldn't sleep thinking about it. I mean dang I even tipped her good. The next day I reached out. To management I don't mind taking care of my servers and I'm always a good tipper. But I don't like being taken advantage of because they think I had a few drinks. Or they think I won't notice extra things. This is not okay. The hotel you check into is supposed to be a safe place like home to enjoy a drink or two. The management offered to refund the first bill of 52.18. But I told him I just wanted what I was over charged refunded plus my tips. At this point I feel she had the chance to correct my bill and make things right but she chose to make me feel like I was in the wrong. After the manager added my first bill up after I told him what I had ordered it turns out she charged 4 beers the first time and not just my 3 and way over charged me the second time. This is a great place to stay but keep an eye on what you order. More so late at night. Also my hot wings were cold in the center but I didn't even mention it to her at the time. They also offer a happy hour type evening wind down social with 3 free alcoholic beverages and buffet style dinner from 5:30-7pm daily. Definitely more bang for your buck with free breakfast and free early dinner and drinks. The evening fun can continue at the bar or outdoor covered pool and jacuzzi. In the need for a workout? They also have a small gym to get your sweat on! Service was great during my stay and the front desk staff was amazing and super friendly. All employees at the bar and the dining room were also very professional and courteous. If you haven't tried Drury Inn & Suites before, it's definitely worth giving a shot!

I arrived at noon on a Friday after driving in from Las Vegas, and Dylan at the front desk set the tone immediately. Before I could even ask, he let me know there were no suite upgrades available but offered me a King Premium and got me checked in on the spot. As a solo traveler who had just made that drive, being able to walk straight to a room and crash was everything. He took a few minutes to catch me up on what had changed since my last stay; the breakfast situation being the highlight of that conversation, which turned out to be... relevant. The next morning, after a rough experience at breakfast, I mentioned something at the front desk and Donna, the front-end manager, stepped in immediately, not defensively, but genuinely wanting to understand what happened and make it right. That kind of accountability is rare. Saturday night brought a similar hiccup at the bar, and Sayan handled it the same way: professionally, without hesitation. The room was exactly what I've come to expect from Kimpton, clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. But the real story here is the staff outside the restaurant. Dylan, Donna, Sayan, these are hospitality professionals who actually care, and it shows. The hotel itself earns every star.

They are personable, helpful and kind. The room and area we used were spacious with tables and chairs to accommodate the crowd. Servers were busy with food replacement. If you prefer, there is also a parking lot across the street.

It felt cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The only letdown was the breakfast. The selection was limited, overpriced, and unfortunately everything tasted stale. However, I would still give the hotel 5 stars and would highly recommend and return when I visit the downtown Phoenix area again.

The staff is genuinely kind and helpful. My next door neighbor kept blasting his TV at night and I requested they intervene. I bugged them three to five times a night and they never made me feel like I was actually bothering them. They were happy to help. They also have housekeeping stuff at the front, dried lavender packs, and shower steamers in case you want a little something extra. The only drawback for me was how much noise there was outside on Camelback Road. I know they can't do anything about that, but it kept me up. So it's something to consider.

With it' stunning mountains, palm trees and ritzy houses, Scottsdale is gorgeous. Bonus points for only being about 20 minutes from the airport. The hotel itself is beautiful with a ton of common areas to enjoy the sunset and scenery. It was a little chilly so the number of outdoor fire pits were very much appreciated. I was put in a room in the 17the or 19th building. I got lost a couple of times as it gets quite dark and the property is a bit of a maze. My friends were closer to the entrance. My room was nice but I felt it needed a bit of an update. Unfortunately I didn't receive my member benefits. I think this is a good resort for meeting up with a group or family, though there were plenty of couples while we were there. I didn't pay a ton for our stay which was good because I didn't really consider it a luxury property. A few things to note: the convenience store is only open till 6pm so plan accordingly. They will take you in a golf cart to your room. The pool is heated in the winter. Uber only takes a few minutes to come get you.

Service was, however, subpar for a resort of this type. Front desk was inattentive and did not react as one would expect when we found larvae in the sheets and on the wall! No urgency and no empathy. Bugs in the sheets is not insignificant but was treated that way. The spa had a great vibe with a nice rooftop pool, wonderful amenities and very attentive attendants. Facials and body scrub were amazing! Massages were not good. Hit or miss just like the entire resort. Definitely not at the level of the other local resorts.
