We initially called the company that installed it, and after checking the system for about 30 minutes, they told us everything was fine and that we just needed to change the air filter--which I had already changed only a couple of weeks earlier. In my gut, I knew something just wasn't right. I found Larson on Yelp and decided to give them a call. They were able to come out the very next day. The technician was friendly, thorough, and spent a significant amount of time running tests and inspecting the vents and ductwork in the attic. He eventually found the issue and fixed it! For the first time this entire summer, our house is actually 76 degrees inside! The difference is incredible, and I'm so grateful that he took the time to actually investigate the problem instead of assuming everything was fine. Larson has absolutely earned our trust, and they will be my first call for all of our future HVAC needs. Highly recommend!

We recently had another HVAC company come out because our AC stopped working. After running their…read morediagnostics, they told us we needed to replace our entire system--including the air handler, condenser, and even add another air return. To make matters worse, they said they couldn't turn the system back on and that we might have to wait until Monday for a full system replacement. This all happened on the Wednesday before the Fourth of July, with temperatures well into the triple digits. We have five kids and two dogs, and the thought of going several days without air conditioning was overwhelming. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion and called Airtime Cooling & Heating. Jacob came out, started his own evaluation without us telling him what the first company had diagnosed, and quickly impressed us. He simply turned the system back on, ran his own diagnostics, and gave us his honest opinion. His conclusion was completely different--our system did not need to be replaced. Not only did he get our AC running again, but he also took the time to explain what he believed had happened, what to watch for if it occurred again, and even walked us through how to troubleshoot it ourselves. That kind of honesty, education, and customer service is incredibly rare. Instead of facing what could have been a very expensive and unnecessary replacement, we paid for a diagnostic visit, got our AC back, and gained confidence in our system. Because of this experience, we've switched from our previous HVAC company to Airtime Cooling & Heating for all of our future maintenance and service. The guy on the phone initially told me that the earliest appointment would be the next day, but he was able to find Jacob who was in the area and would be able to stop by in 1-2 hours. Jacob arrived and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. He explained what was wrong (capacitor needed replacement) and then explained how he was going to fix it. A previous AC contractor inspected my son's heat pump and told me he needed a whole new unit. The previous contractor found some Freon oil near the compressor and told my son he needed a whole new unit. Turns out it was from a previous repair and the unit had a full charge of freon which indicated it was not low on Freon due to a leak. The service call was $80 instead of a new unit. Guy was on time, so kudos for that. But he greeted me with a very clammy/weak handshake. Sure, that's not a perfect measure of how a company performs, but it's so often accurate. We had prefaced this quote request by specifying to the office that we didn't want the highest end units as we were going to only be in the house for 3-5 more years. So, of course, he sees our large house and started pushing the highest end units they had. His responses to my questions were dismissive and haughty - obnoxiously arrogant for someone who made a few mistakes I caught during his presentation - and just found one in his quote. Pricing was the highest of all the vendors we received quotes from, and that's even with him erroneously reducing our 2.5T unit to a 2T unit. Also, their service & labor warranty is the shortest of the vendors at 2 years. Standard seems to be three.

SureTemp's communications (that's another review on its own) were to me (the tenant) and the property owner. The refund that was given was around $200... it should have been closer to $400 for all of the reasons and evidence outlined in my above review (that you conveniently did not address). We had expected it since the existing system was nearly 20 yrs old and an outdated R22 system. Brett was prompt on getting out there, very straightforward on what the problem was, a condenser failure, and what my options were for replacement. He came back with his recommendations on what system we should go with and was very clear as to why he was recommending it, which helped me to understand his train of thought and whether that met my needs. He and his team were also very quick to replace the unit and accommodating with the daughter, who's currently living at the house. I don't hope to have any HVAC issues in the near future, but I know who I'll call when I do.
