Went in to purchase a NEW Glock 48 9mm. We specifically and directly told the salesperson that we did not want a used gun. We then asked him if the gun we were looking at was BRAND NEW. He said yes and pointed to the display. The display said it was new (see photo), he said it was new, so we purchased the gun and drove 30 minutes back home. Once home, we opened the bag, took out the contents, and printed on the receipt was, "GLOCK 48 REFURB 9MM PISTOL"! (See photo). I'm not sure where they learned the meaning of the word refurbish, but in every dictionary I can find, it DOES NOT mean new. We went back to the store to request a refund and got every excuse in the book why it was new. "It's rebuilt to factory specifications," "It's like new," "It carries the same warranty as new," and my personal favorite, "It's just like new, but less expensive." After wasting the morning driving back and forth to the store and all the back and forth with them in front of their customers, they finally refunded our money. Stopped by the Tempe store today to buy a few items, walked in and was looking at stocks ,triggers and other items in the front display case when some employee yelled from across the store " Yo, MY MAN you need some help " I turn and told him I was not " HIS MAN " and went back looking at the triggers. He informed me that he had seen my post, recalled hearing about it in the store, and then nothing, so he thought it had been resolved by one of his managers. He read my post over the weekend and realized it had not been resolved to their standard of business operations. We had a great discussion and Arizona Firearms stepped up and completely resolved the issue and concern. It is unfortunate that it had to be resolved in the manner that it did, BUT all is safely mended. A SHOUT OUT to Arizona Firearms for completely resolving this matter! This is the kind of support that we as consumers expect from people we do business with. I expect to be returning to Arizona Firearms in the future to do more business with them. The store is stocked and they have ammunition for GREAT prices (I was just in there an hour ago). I purchased a used Tri-Star Raptor 20ga from Arizona Firearms in late 2019 for my two pre-teen boys. Due to COVID and fire/shooting bans in Arizona, I was unable to fire this shotgun until late 2020. When I did fire the shotgun, it immediately jammed. It jammed so bad that I needed to take it into my gunsmith. My gunsmith mentioned that the internal parts were damaged and needed to be sent to Tri-Star for repairs. I shipped the gun to Tri-Star for repairs. The first phone call I received from Tri-Star was from one of its Officers of the company. I was shocked! He informed me that he personally looked at the shotgun that I sent for repairs. The shotgun was manufactured in 2013 and still contained all of the original internal parts, and they had never been replaced. He estimated that it is possible that the gun had seen several thousand rounds through it. He immediately condemned the gun and mentioned that it should never have been resold into circulation as it could possibly injure the shooter. He then asked if he could reach out to Arizona Firearms on my behalf to discuss the condition of the gun and the sale. I received a phone call back from Tri-Star. I was informed that Arizona Firearms does not bench check or test fire used firearms they purchase. They are immediately placed on the rack for sale. The manager of Arizona Firearms also asked Tri-Star to ship the gun back to them so they could look at it! Tri-Star refused by stating they could not allow this gun back into circulation and that the phone call from the officer of the manufacturer should ease their suspicions. Tri-Star asked that I reach back out to the manager of Arizona Firearms to see if they could reimburse me in some way by either a store credit or FFL transfer of a new gun. After several messages left over 2 months, I never received any contact back. In lieu of this, I contacted Tri-Star. Tri-Star immediately rectified the issue by replacing the gun with a new model at a very fair price. I cannot express how impressed and appreciative I am of Tri-Star Arms and the company officer that assisted me with this. They went completely out of their way to help a customer feel satisfied and safe with their product. I highly recommend Tri-Star Arms, their guns and their customer support. Life-long customer ahead. No BS at this firearms store, very helpful staff, and well stocked with both new and used firearms. Didn't get a real chance to survey their ammo, but what we saw behind the counter looked plentiful given the lack of inventory we have seen at other shops. What set this experience above our expectations was the staff, specifically the very helpful gentleman named Kelly. He greeted us when we walked in, asked how we could help. We were there to get some gun values and had respectfully left our cased firearms in the car...rather than tote everything in and plop on the counter first thing. Kelly listend and told me to bring the firearms in, and he would take a look. I returned with my cased firearms, he asked if they were loaded and I responded no. I uncased the two pistols with slides locked back, and Kelly opened the case for the broken down shotgun we were looking have evaluated. Other gun stores have given us the serious run around when having these vintage pistols evaluated...not here. Kelly complimented us on the vintage pistols, and asked if we had any idea what we wanted for them? We stated our requested value, and he said he would be right back. After looking up the firearms he came back in less than 5 minutes with an extremely fair offer, which we accepted. Kelly took my AZ DL, had me sign a couple of state forms for FA transfers, gave us our cash, and we were in and out in under 30 minutes. If you are looking to have someone value firearms for trade or cash, this is the location. No BS, no long wait, no drop off and we will call you back...being respectful of their time also helped. Just don't walk in and dump a bunch of firearms on the counter...ask first if they have time. Given that firearms sales and most gun shops are very busy, this seems to be the appropriate approach. Another guy stuffing a sandwich into his mouth just handed me a card for Wright Armory. Neither of the people I encountered there seemed to give a damn about me or customer service. I'll never set foot in that store again!! I went years ago with a problem with my AR-15 and the guy there was super helpful and told me exactly what the problem was, and how to fix it. They must have changed owners since then. I took my 9mm to Wright Armory in Mesa and they fixed my problem in minutes with no charge! read more

Man, what a total disappointment. The only reason for 2 instead of 1 stars is the fact that it's one bad apple(bald head/ black facial hair) the rest have been fine! Walk in, want to look at the P365 and P365XL and compare them as I like grip on the XL better but want the shorter slide. I ask the guy if he knows if the slides themselves are interchangeable...he tells me "You can buy both and try them yourself"...ok...I reiterated the question again. He says no and pulled them both out. Measures them and says they might as they are close. He then hands me the XL. I kid you not, I literally accept the gun from him and turn it sideways to examine the slide and the guy says "whoa whoa whoa, you can't pull the trigger, I haven't cleared the slide yet" and snatches the gun from me. I look up at the guy and tell him I didn't even touch the trigger...like at all...He goes "yes you did I saw you". My hands are literally Exactly as they were when he snatched the gun away, wasnt even close to it. I said to him again, "I'm telling you my finger didn't even touch it", he then says "well you were going to"...I couldn't believe what was going on. I said "no I wasn't I was feeling the frame and then looking at the slide"...he stops me mid sentence and says "Look, I've been teaching firearms instructions for 10+ years and I'm just trying to "TEACH" you something" as if he's is just some hot-shot dude. He proceeded to show me what he "thought" I was going to do. I interrupted him right there and said, "Let's just stop right here, thank you for your time" and walked out. 1st point- Your training is trash if you, the Gun Dealer, don't clear a firearm before handing it to me. 2nd point- You have a flaud set of nuts, to act as if you, the NOIR wannabe, is going to teach me (a veteran + CCW holder) gun safety when you can't even clear the gun in the first place. Final point- These Gun Dealers have literally no idea how off-putting they are when they act like this. You know, if I had honestly put my finger on the trigger, I can understand how it may be no-no when the gun hadn't been cleared, but the way you go about it is completely horrible. Don't blame the customer for your screw up, learn diplomacy. Show my a great Gun dealer and I'll show you a diplomatic person. Get your heads out of your ass! read more

If you are any race other than white or Caucasian DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT to purchase a fire arm from that place. I was recently racially profiled by the employees. They had me waiting 3 hours to purchase a handgun. Mind you I am prior Service and recently got out the United States Marine Corps. There is no way my background check takes 3 hours. On the other hand I witnessed a person who is not of color purchase an AR-15 and someone else got a handgun and was out the store in less than 35 minutes. The background check wasn't the problem because I went to Cabelas and it took me 30 minutes. AZ Firearms called me 2 hours later to tell me the background check is good and I can purchase the gun. But I already went elsewhere. To top it off they stole my Arizona state drivers license. read more

Very down to earth shop. I had a transfer for my very first handgun I ordered online. I went in about three days before to get my background check squared away. Dave kindly greeted me and helped me with my application and showed me a couple other handguns similar to the one I was purchasing. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. The shop called me early today to let me know it was in and ready to be picked up. They helped me pick out a holster for my SIG P365 and got me set up with some ammo. I brought my daughter in and she loved the shop too. I will def be coming back when I'm in the market for another handgun and ammo and when my daughter is ready to shoot at the range. read more

The older staff we're professional, but I wish they would have kept their younger staff in check. They were playing with Rifles and pointing them at the entrance way. I gave a passive aggressive look as they were toying around in front of costumers and nobody did anything. I don't believe anything was loaded, but playing around and not practicing basic safety in front of customers is a big no-no to me. Someone could have easily walked in the door and saw this child pointing a rifle at them.. I honestly wanted to just leave at that point but I was still in the middle of picking up a purchase. One more thing. Put your politics away and tidy up. I come for business, not for your political stance. I will be going out of my way in the future for firearm purchases. read more

Why would any firearms shop in Arizona act like a arm of the communist California DoJ, enforcing CA laws that dont apply to their state for in store purchases on a non-FFL item. I purchased a Glock 34 Gen 5 MOS from this shop after finding them with Apple Maps (other stores were closed, out of product, or not answering their phone). The staff was very helpful and offered everything including 9mm ammo at a fair price. They've taken proper precautions to keep themselves and their customers safe - allowing about 2-4 customers in the store at one time. I had such a great experience that my friend decided to purchase the same handgun under Glock's Blue Label Program at their Gilbert location. My pro tip would be to get there early and/or call ahead to make sure they have what you're looking to purchase. I look forward to doing business again with Arizona Firearms. read more

Absolutely the only gun store I trust to purchase we and used firearms from in the Phoenix Metro area. I've been scammed too many times and the friendly staff I have dealt with at Arizona Firearms has always shot me straight and never steered me wrong. Funny thing was the extremely knowledgeable Gunsmiths and Custom Weapon guys at PDWarehouse in Chandler helped gravitate me into trading some of the older more unused weapons in my collection, for some modern more practical guns. Also when I got my new guns P. J. (who I suspect might be one of the owners) and Tony, ironically recommended me back over to PDWarehouse for Cerakoting, Trigger upgrades or any other custom Gunsmith work I could need. To have 2 weapon stores that aren't connected in any way, referring customers back and fourth to each other like that is pretty epic in my book. They do a great job of rationing how much ammunition is purchased to ensure they can satisfy as many customers as possible with ammo shortages nationwide. My fiancé and I visited yesterday (04/16/20) to pick up a few firearms we had on lay away. I'm done with this place, it's just not worth going in anymore. I go to gun stores to relax, see what's available, see if anything I want is for sale, or see if anything is reasonably priced. I always make sure to leave with at least a box of ammo as I love supporting my local gun stores. I'm not sure if management changed or what's going on but this place has gotten ridiculously pushy and I'm done with it! Anytime I go in I just get hit with, "Look at all these guns! I just got off the phone with AZ Firearms & collectibles: The first person who answered the phone mumbled something inaudible before I finished telling her what I was calling for, and in the middle of my sentence. After that I had to assume I was on hold, because she wasn't responding anymore. After two minutes of silence and being only a moment from hanging up the phone, a gentleman came on the phone and also mumbled something inaudible. I asked what it was he had said and there was no response. I hung up the phone and then called back, and the person who answered the phone hung up immediately after picking up. What a nightmare. Their business statement is so true: Arizona Firearm's is Tempe's PRIEMER firearms dealer and one of Arizona's oldest guns shops with 40 years of experience. We come here so often I already am familiar with everyone and everyone is very down to earth and friendly. These guys know what they are talking about which is a relief, nothing is more irritating than clueless service. Collecting for our zombie survival gear or rather shooting practice gear we picked up a Remington 870 Tactical with Serrated Flash Suppressor, Glock G21, and a Ruger 10/22 to add to our ever growing kit. They also do trades and layaways and they price matched a handgun for us since another shop was offering it for less. Although don't hold me to that, just check with them to see what they can do for you. They have surplus and antique items which were interesting to look at, I feel as though I could just come in here to browse for hours. They are very patient with newbies and will take the time you need to figure out the best option for you. We have purchased 4 guns from here and have been very pleased. There are a couple people who are intimidating and short. One is a woman with dark hair and one is a taller balding man. They don't have a lot of patience if you unsure of what you are looking for.
