I have been with this company for several years now and have always had great service. They come once a week and clean and service whatever it needs. If there is an issue of any kind, like my vacuum needs repair or whatever I get a phone call for approval and the repairs are done. I just get the total added to my next bill. This company did a nice job resurfacing our pool. When dealing with them, keep in mind that construction is stressful and full of setbacks. The guys show up unpredictably so don't set a clock by them. We had to change materials because the color we wanted wasn't available. Some debris from the plaster chipping got into our pipes. Just know that when you have a big construction job, nothing is going to go smoothly. The pool came out beautiful in spite of the setbacks. The guys are friendly and clean up after themselves. I was researching companies to resurface my pool. I felt very uneasy after reading reviews on the well known companies. Most wanted large deposits before they did any work and we're not responsive to their dissatisfied clients. My pool service company recommended Az Pool remodeling. Alan was responsive to my initial call, where others were not. He was able to come out and look at my pool within the week. He listened to what I wanted to accomplish and gave me very nice options. When my service was transferred to Arizona pool remodeling I received service and a repair the first week. The next two weeks, no one showed up. The guy servicing my pool didn't add my pool to his schedule and forgot about me. They were supposed to repair a leaking backwash valve which they did, but without asking me or explaining to me why, they also completely rerouted the plumbing for my backwash and it now drains in a place I do not what it to drain. I received a very fishy text from someone a few weeks later saying it was time for my filter cleaning and I would be charged $80. I was never made aware of this and because of the very unprofessional way it was worded, I contacted the guy who services my pool and he said this was a scam. About 2 weeks later, a man shows up at my house, who was rude to my wife, and said I never responded to schedule a filter cleaning. This frightened my wife because she didn't know this person and I had told her this was a scam. So after this, I contacted the office and they told me this wasn't a scam and that they do this cleaning twice a year. How my regular pool service guy didn't know anything about this and why he said it was a scam makes no sense to me. After all of this, the service guy told me I would only get partial service the week of Thanksgiving and no service the week of Christmas. That's fine with me. But I would expect to not be charged for these weeks in this case, but apparently the company charges the same amount per month, regardless of number of times they service the pool. The problem with this, is that I didn't get service more than 4 times in one month, so even if it is supposed to all even out over the year, it wouldn't in every customer's case. In my eyes, this is a small technicality they are using to steal people's money that don't stay with them the whole year. Or, in my case, the service day got changed so many times, its impossible to keep track of. I contacted the office about each one of these problems and not once did I get through to someone on the first try. I always had to leave a voicemail and wait for a call back. Which is not convenient for someone who works during the day. The owner did call me after each complaint to apologise, but unfortunately blamed it all on his employees and took no responsibility for the terrible service, lack of communication or unprofessionalism I encountered. I wasn't going to write a long review, but because of the owner's comments, it now seems warranted. read more

I have to say.... finding a reliable company to work on a pool in Arizona is like trying to find a coffee shop in Seattle. They are on every corner, but it doesn't mean they are any good. Would I use Arizona Pool Remodeling again? Absolutely Alan is honest and straight forward...no BS. Actually, we are planning to add a heater to the pool next year and will be using Alan again for that job. We bought a home with a pool that was 30 + years old and spent the summer working with other companies to resolve issue(s) with our pool leaking. Although they did resolve some of the issues, we just were not happy with the quality of the work. When we realized that we basically needed to do a full remodel on our pool (all underground plumbing, new return lines into the pool and the old ones plugged) we wanted to make sure we used a company we could trust and that would do quality work. We received estimates from 7 companies. The general feeling we got from everyone except Alan was that we were being upsold. Alan came out and was totally up front with us. He was the only one who told us the bare minimum we HAD to do to fix the leaks (patch old return lines into the pool and plumb new ones). Although that approach would have left us with unsightly patches in the pool plaster, we appreciated that he was honest with us about that option. Several companies told us flat out that couldn't be done now would it be possible to save our tile. That didn't sit well with us and seemed like a total waste of money. The tile appeared to be in good condition a fact Alan confirmed for us. When he came out, he told us our pool was in really good shape (excluding the underground plumbing leaks) and it was unfortunate that whoever did the remodel (in his opinion about 5 years ago) did not do the plumbing at the same time. Finally, someone who was being honest with us! When we compared his quote to the others, he was on the lower end. Someone we felt we could trust and wasn't an arm and a leg...what more could we ask for. Since the cost was on the lower end and because we felt like we could trust him we decided to have a Baja ledge added (I totally love it). Alan ended up getting sick when our remodel occurred, so he did not actually come out during the process. He did however check in with us daily and quickly responded anytime I reached out to him with questions or concerns (I had a lot of them) regarding the process. From beginning to end the whole remodel took about a week. We couldn't be happier...ok not true. I would be happier if it wasn't ice cold so I could actually enjoy it...but that will happen soon enough! PS. Please excuse the multiple colors of the pool deck. We were in the process of painting it when we were side tracked with the never ending leaks... read more

We have used this service for years to maintain our pool and a big project to redo our yard They don't even send me an invoice, we can be trusted to pay like clockwork. Too bad they can't be trusted to do what we have paid them to do. So much for trust. One might think a real "Pool tech" would see that a pool is starting to get algae, even mentioning it to the homeowner would be a good idea, let alone let a pool get so disgusting that we now have to pay extra to have it cleaned. Do NOT use this company. We paid them lots of money and have given them chances time and time again over the years. Our pool NEVER looked like this in over 10 years until Jim became our pool guy. Do yourself a favor and go with a reputable pool company. Don't believe me, a picture is worth a thousand words...do you want a green pool, then choose this company. This is after hundreds and hundreds of dollars for NOTHING apparently! By the way, he is suppose to service us WEEKLY. This looks like a house that has sat vacant for months and the pool was neglected. Why did he NOT advise much earlier that we had a problem? This company hires the worst of the worst! UPDATE: Per the owner, " our pool guy said the pool looked great on Friday", so we just spent hundreds to have someone flip our pool in less than a week. So if you decide to hire them and a guy named Jim comes, watch him like a hawk, EVERY TIME, EVERY DAY BECAUSE HE IS DOES NOT DO ANYTHING AND CHARGED US FOR CHEMICALS HE NEVER PUT IN, apparently for weeks. He was here on a Friday, and by Wednesday of the next week we hired a new company who had to flip the pool. Sound like he's been servicing our pool. We were looking to do a major overhaul or our existing dated back yard and pool. The work included resurfacing the existing pool, adding a baja shelf to the existing pool (structural modifications), demolishing the old, deteriorating flagstone deck and replace with a new, Marbella Shellstone deck, building a new custom outdoor kitchen, replacing and relocating all of the existing pool equipment, installing a portion of artificial grass, and modifying existing landscaping. We received bids from several different companies, and felt that AZ Pool Remodeling were very fair with their pricing and schedule (we were referred to them by a friend that has done 3 or 4 remodels with them). The entire project took just under 6-weeks from start to finish and we could not be happier with the outcome. Alan (owner) was very fair with changes that we requested mid way, and did not question reworking any areas we weren't 100% satisfied with. Hugo and Mario are both craftsman in many trades, and their work ethic is impeccable. If you're looking for an honest, hard working crew, this is your group for backyard remodels. Alan, came out and quoted me for me pool remodel, chipping out the old plaster, replacing with mini pebble, all new water line tile, and the best part the addition of a HUGE baja shelf for sitting and to put an umbrella sleeve in. After agreeing to the quote, the guys were out in the next day or two to start and man did it go fast.
