Now, I have received a letter from the owner attempting to justify all the actions that these people have had towards me and one thing I should clarify so I'm not "a liar" is that the time I was running late was apparently 15 minutes, not 10 and they felt it very important to remind me of that so let me update this review to reflect my error of the how long I was running behind due to an accident that is completely out of my control and also I was in the wrong that day because I did cuss at her when she told me they weren't going to see me (40 minutes into my drive later) and as I was driving down the freeway the receptionist wanted me to take the phone off Bluetooth and I refused because arizona state law is that all devices must be hands free. Apologies that I didn't break the law to accommodate your request. Rudeness and disrespect is a perception, I'm not wrong because your perception differs from mine. If I say I felt a certain way, you can't say otherwise. I'm not perfect, nor do I pretend to be. I know I have my moments but when people actually do their jobs and treat me with respect, there are no issues, just ask AVO Glendale. The condescension in the letter was was the same I got in the office but at least this time I have it in writing. The letter (quite literally blaming me for every med error, scheduling error, that has occurred since we started with Gilbert and as if my attitude and sass came completely unprovoked) really? So your staff is completely devoid of all responsibility for their actions? Great way to do business.

Photo I got that they took at the office. He is very concerned about the dreaded gum disease gingivitis.

I had previously taken my dogs to the Scottsdale location for their dental cleanings but I decided to use the Gilbert office due to the closer location from where I live. Getting there is a breeze from the 60, and the drive from Tempe is a lot nicer than taking the 101 or surface streets to Scottsdale. The parking lot is a little narrow and it doesn't seem like there are as many spots as the Scottsdale location which is located in a shopping plaza. I didn't have any problems finding a spot though. The dental office is part of a whole conglomeration of various veterinary specialist offices and shares space with veterinary opthalmology and dermatology. My appointment was at 8 AM and I got here a little early. Unfortunately none of the front office staff were here yet at 7:45 and quite a few other people and their dogs were waiting awkwardly with their dogs either in their cars or outside. I understand that the office doesn't technically open until 8 but I feel like not being able to enter the office at a reasonably early time and making us wait adds to the potential stress of an appointment. They did finally open 5 minutes before 8. At the counter there is a front office person for each specialty. The waiting room is fairly spacious with nice seating. We were taken back shortly and the front desk who doubled as an assistant went over the procedure for the appointment and explained all the paperwork to sign. We also arranged a pick up time. When my dog's dental cleaning was over I received a phone call from the tech saying he did great and there were no problems. When I arrived to pick my pup up Dr. Balke did an excellent job at explaining how everything went and went over the radiographs and blood work. The front desk/assistant was so friendly and engaging and I felt like my dog was given the best care and comfort by her and the other techs. Overall I'll definitely come here again due to the convenient location and friendly staff.

Very rude and lacked any sort of empathy on the phone considering our situation, no urgency or understanding, would not recommend.

Their prices are in line with other vets in the area, and we don't feel they try to upsell us. We trust Oasis Animal Hospital with our beloved pets.

This is long for a reason. DO NOT GO HERE. IT'S A MONEY GRAB FOR POOR CARE…read more My longtime vet retired, and I was referred to Oasis and Dr. Tenney (who was excellent), only to find he was retiring too. Since then, every experience at this clinic has been poor. My most recent visit (June 2026) was for my 5‑month‑old puppy with clear UTI symptoms: blood in urine, straining, one episode of vomiting/soft stool. I requested a urinalysis. Dr. Cailey O'Donnell examined her, agreed she looked healthy, then suddenly pushed a long list of tests and meds--fecal test, bloodwork, X‑rays, probiotics, anti‑vomit meds--before even seeing the urinalysis results. I declined and asked to wait. Twenty minutes later Dr.O'Donnell rushed in saying, "She doesn't have a UTI, she has crystals and needs prescription food for life." This made no sense--especially for a puppy with a first‑time issue. My questions were met with rapid, dismissive explanations about pH levels and diet. Both times I asked about antibiotics for the bloody, frequent urination, I was ignored. She left again, and the rest of the visit consisted of the tech going to the back SIX separate times because the doctor wouldn't return to answer basic questions as -why I was being given adult prescription food for a puppy and answered with, "because that's what they had in stock". After two hours of this chaos & no actual resolution to the blood in her urine, I left with the food, food perscription a bunch of 'just in case' gastro-meds' in hand & no antibiotics. The visit cost $406. Back home, my puppy urinated dark blood and continued straining in misery. I had no choice but to give her leftover antibiotics from my recently deceased dog and booked a next‑day appointment elsewhere. When I re-read the Oasis urinalysis that Dr, O'Donnell handed me herself, it clearly stated my puppy had a UTI and her pH was normal. She it read incorrectly. The second clinic confirmed the findings on the Oasis's report after I asked them to run their own since Oasis had also made an error & ran theirs twice. The analysis showed the "crystals" were minimal and typical of a UTI. That visit cost another $325 because I couldn't rely on Oasis's diagnosis. Sadly, this wasn't my only bad experience in under a year: 1. Vet 1 - Early on, our puppy had frequent urination issues. Upon a visual visual check, Oasis ruled out a UTI without doing a urinalysis--just a late‑day urine concentration test that came back diuted (of which would be the norm at that time of day) but the Vet raised concern-($100). We were told to collect a early morning sample for a second test that came back in range. ($100). When we asked if the frequency was normal for a young female or a concern, the vet shrugged and said, "Could be." A month later, our puppy has a severe UTI. 2. Vet - 2 My cat had a lump, but the vet ws more focused on selling vaccines instead of examining the lump. When question she breezed passed it saying it was normal. Forr cats, lumps are not. I had to go elsewhere--paid twice. 3. Vet 3 - When my 7‑year‑old dog suddenly developed bloody stool and severe leg swelling, I couldn't get an Oasis vet to speak with me during eight hours in the ER or the two ER visits that followed. My dog was ultimately diagnosed with IMT(bleeding disorder) and dying. I need to speak with someone I was familiar with. Oasis didn't call until day three--after I had already made every heartbreaking decision alone & confirmed 'I as doing the right thing'. After caring for 6 dogs and 7 cats, I know the basics of animal care. These animals are family. They deserve competent, empathetic care--not upsells, rushed explanations, misread test results & avoidance. I don't need a fancy lobby or free drinks. I need vets, rather ONE vet who knows my pets history & is knowledgeable, honest, and respectful. Oasis is no longer that. I strongly recommend going elsewhere.
