Clean, inviting, large space. We went on a Friday morning, so it was not surprising that it was not crowded. Plenty of parking available outside. I didn't look at the food menu but lots of choices of beer. The decoration is really neat and very Southwestern-y. There are 3D murals, neons, and whatnot. And there's seating for everyone - at the bar, in the darker corners, or with a view on the street. I feel like every Arizona Wilderness in the Valley has its own vibe and it's neat that they're all unique in their own way. read more

This place was awesome! Great open seating and a wrap around bar, friendly staff and an excellent selection of beers, ciders and some wine with delicious food as well. I had a nitro Irish stout and it was so good. My girl had a prickly pear cider that was delicious as well. For dinner we split an order of the proper smash burger with cottage fries and the oklazona burger with loaded cottage fries and everything was incredible. Good times in a very cool inviting atmosphere with great drinks and delicious food. Absolutely recommend trying this spot. Also we went on a Friday night around 8 and parking was easy. read more

Every AZ Wilderness is fantastic. The beer, the food, it's all exceptional. On this trip I had the La Ciudad IPA and the hatch burger. Both were amazing. I love that they source local as much as possible. The fries cooked in duck fat and topped with flaky sea salt is the icing on top. My only complaint is that I live in Goodyear and we get no love in the west valley. If there was a location close to me I'd be there frequently. I forgot to take pictures of the food but the ambience is great too. Cant wait to get back! read more

"Chill a While at AZ Wilderness Miracle Mile" Arizona Wilderness on Miracle Mile has a really nice vibe--industrial design, open, and relaxed. We tried the Banh Mi Bowl, Pickle Brine Chicken, and a Big Marble Ginger Beer. All solid choices. Even our dogs enjoyed their Chicken Fingers (to go) and fries, which was such a fun treat for them. Service is simple: scan the QR code on the table to pull up the menu, place your order, and they will bring your food out. Smooth and easy. Very nice large place, with a bunch of wilderness themed goods. Tried their pretzel, but their beer cheese was not flavorful. Their kung pow cauliflower was nice, not too spicy. Great place for groups to meet or even a birthday party. Service was excellent! read more

We have been a couple times to this location now and i feel like in just the past couple months they have done so much changing on their menu i was severely disappointed they changed the menu because the burger i had the last time we had came in September was so good. My husbands sliders were very peppery but still decent. This most recent visit we went the burger was good but SO much pepper again. It's fine just very pepper forward. My kids love their French fries because it's almost like a hybrid between chips and French fries. This isn't like the traditional restaurant where servers come to cater to your needs it's more of like the downtown vibe where you order from the bar and sit down or order from your seats using a QR code. AZ wilderness is my favorite local brewery so I already knew the beers were going to be delicious and they delivered, as usual. The chicken banh mi bowl had a bit more of a spicy kick than I was expecting, but in a good way! The chicken was juicy and tender. A great renovation of building on McDowell! The inside it nicely appointed with a large bar that you can belly up to.. Large selection of beers from which to pick. The menu burgers, sandos, wings, etc.. We opted for the slider (3 kinds) and a large fries. The fries are somewhere between a potato chip and a fry. I really liked them. I've been to the dtphx wilderness plenty of times, but I liked this one better. It was less crowded and way easier to find a seat. The staff was really nice at this location, and a lot more laid back. The food was great, and we liked how each location had a slightly different menu. I would appreciate more vegetarian options like the dtphx one has, but they still had some choices. The raw fries are great, and not many places have them. The beer selection is always great at wilderness too. read more

I'm glad Wilderness is spreading their wings into other neighborhoods, even if said new neighborhood is barely a few minutes from the flagship Roosevelt Row Beer Garden. This neighborhood is def different than RR. Parking is a bit of a premium moreso here, but that shouldn't hold you from stopping in for a happy hour or meal. (You can park in the medical office next door if their lot is full). On one of the hottest days of the year (to date), it *still* was packed during happy hour. Their beers are still the same, the food menu is a little different to reflect the 'hood. Hankering for Duck Fat Fries? No problem - order the Cottage Fries. Want wings? They got 'em. It's all bar/counter service - anything you want needs to be ordered up there or at the self-serving cash wrap. If you want to have a special event or group outing, they'll give you (optional) pre-made drink coupons for your guests. Food can be ordered ahead of time too for special events. Definitely excited for their new outlet here! read more

Cant beat the $3 bday stein deal! Wilderness has some of the best brews in the state with a great variety to pick from. The 12th anniversary double IPA is amazing. Overall, it's a great addition to this part of Central Phoenix. Friendly service and a very diverse food menu. However, it's EXTREMELY loud in there, and everyone is talking overly loudly to compensate for this, which compounds the problem. I hope they invest in many sound-dampening panels, which would fit nicely in the capacious industrial ceiling, as there are otherwise absolutely no soft surfaces in this space. Also the "fries" are weird, and almost like air-fried or baked thick-cut chips, with little flavor and cardboard-y texture, served lukewarm. At these prices, surely they can do better. Also, since they invested in two beautiful large-screen televisions, I don't understand why they don't air NBA playoff games, or other relevant sporting events, instead of stock nature footage from random locations. read more

I have been going to the DTPHX location since it opened, and been a big fan of the food and beer. Last night at Miracle Mile was a different story. The pretzel was pretty dry, they skimped on the butter, and the beer cheese was stiff and dry, unlike at DTPHX. Got the Proper Smash burger w 1 patty. There was hardly any meat to it, and the sauce was sweet and just weird. Got the side salad, which did not seem to have had any effort put into it at all. My companions liked their sliders and banh mi bowl, but I really didn't like my burger and salad. Service was surprisingly slow. read more

This location has different French fries, no rosemary on them and sauces are vastly different! There is no garlic aioli, so I tried two other sauces. Both were terrible! The servers did bring honey mustard instead. I ordered ice tea but after the first refill, the servers pointed to the refill station and told me to help myself to all I want. The service is lacking here. Also parking was too full so we had to leave and park in a doctor office parking lot. Luckily they were closed. The downtown location is close to this one do go there instead, but parking is a huge issue at that location. read more

I also love that if you sit at a table, you can order from your phone and start a tab and everything! Plus the refill station means I can refill my water a ton without running the staff. Thrilled to see AZ Wilderness open its newest location--this spot is exactly what the neighborhood needed. The space has a totally unique vibe compared to their other locations, which feels intentional and refreshing. It's casual, welcoming, and already feels like a great local hangout. The food is excellent--especially the pickle-brined chicken, which is crispy, juicy, and loaded with flavor. And the beer? Just as great as you'd expect from Wilderness, with a solid lineup of classics and seasonal standouts. Bonus: some of their best staff from other AZ Wilderness locations are helping get this one off the ground, which means the service already feels dialed in and super friendly. That said, it's a brand-new opening, so pack a little patience--but it's clear they're working hard and have a solid team in place. This place brings something really special to the area. They had some limited edition cocktails going too so it was an all new experience in a familiar setting.
