I just had a Moment of Clarity, and it was awesome!

What a hidden gem for tourists. We were in the area for some automotive work, searched Yelp for a place to eat, and found Grand Avenue Brewing within walking distance. The beer is good, but the food... oh, my! The smoked BBQ pulled pork baked potato was bomb! The taco flight was great also. Yum!

This place is cool, really small neighborhood vibes. I would say a very local spot for the regulars. Its a mix between counter & table service but the bartender, she was great. The food was really good. The smoked baked potatoes are definitely a must try.

It's been a minute, like a whole pandemic since the last visit. They have improved a lot! On my first visit I experienced 1 or 2 that were good, the others had promise and I was hopeful. Now I think this brewery is set to become a part of downtown, like you don't go downtown without stopping in here. The beer is good, the service is funny, the vibe is brewery. Love that they have found their stride!

Amazing time at this local spot before a baseball game (a group of us were in town for the brewers series) and shout out to Matt for letting us in early Saturday afternoon. We had some flights, some sake, some port and the soup of the day - the Moscow mule. All the drinks were pretty tasty. The food we all tried were delicious - the taco flights (pork belly looked dry but was so tender and delish, the Korean pulled pork was the hands down favorite and the steak was pretty good). Several people had the Mac and cheese and had no complaints. The rest of the menu looked awesome and the space was really cool with local artwork and some board games. Definitely recommend this spot

I call this my Cheers bar that I love going to in downtown Phoenix. The people working here are like family. The atmosphere is wonderful and drinks and food get better and better.

I love the staff! They are so friendly! This is my go to brewery. The beers are so tasty and they have a good variety and they change out the flavors as well. The food is sooooo good! My fav is the fresh baked pretzel and the baked potato. It's a must try! Everything on the food menu is so good. Cheers to the chef!

Best craft brewery in Arizona. Arizona actually has a lovely and excellent brewery community. But for broader exploration of beer styles with excellence above affectation, this is the best. Very highly recommended!

We came in over the weekend and this was our first stop of the day. I chose a sour and he chose an IPA. We were hungry and they had some pretty tasty options. As soon as we entered you could smell the aroma of bbq. We were served quickly by the bartender, which happened to be the owner. The atmosphere was relaxed and you could tell it was a neighborhood hang out for a few locals. My boyfriend felt that his beer was flat. So we each only had one, and we continued our journey.

Almost on the corner local hangout. Friendly vibe of neighbors that live in the area. A couple of TV showing sports or whatever is of interest. A selection of about 20 different brewed beers on tap including ice teas, sodas, including Mexican Coke/Sprite. Food selection has many options: including various smoked/baked potatoes with pork chilies red/green, tacos, sandwiches, burgers, and flatbreads. Staff is friendly and offered suggestions of popular items. The beer selection is good as mostly tried the IPA. For summer days, this is a nice option as lots of fans, AC, with great circulation. Did not check out the back patio but also looks very inviting with the patio seating.

We were in town for Arizona Craft Beer Week and we met the owner and brewer at the Strong Beer Festival the day before. They convinced us to stop by the brewery to check out the rest of the beers and the amazing food. A beautiful location in downtown Phoenix with a nice outdoor area and a large open area inside with plenty of seating. We ordered up a few flights of beers so that we could try a bunch of different styles. We also ordered the pretzel, pulled pork sandwich and the chili verde. There were some hits and misses with the beer but the food was amazing! They smoke all the meat in house and it was delicious. We will definitely return on our next trip to Phoenix.

I ended up having a great late afternoon and evening here. This place is pretty unsuspecting from the street but once you get in, you're in for some fun. I have their own parking lot so feel free to pull into the gate. They have a big selection of beer. I'm not a huge beer fan but I was there with friends and I enjoyed what I could. I had the cream ale and another one I cannot remember. But I was there with friends and just enjoying the company. We had a good time just sitting around. It's a great atmosphere with some games at some tables and just an overall good crowd. Really nice employees to! Enjoyed the food very much so. I had the Manny which is only available on Sundays. It's basically two eggs over some pork and chilis and it was overall delicious. They forgot the cotija cheese but when I went to go ask for some, they brought me out of big container. Very nice! I also had one of their smoky baked potatoes. They come with many options of different toppings. I just had the cheap one but it was more than filling. It was practically swimming in butter and with the cheese and sour cream, it was too much for me to even finish. Friends had some other stuff including the cheese crisp and the smokey potato salad. They said they were excellent! Definitely a fun place to hang out in the evening with friends while enjoying good beer and good food. Definitely will return!

Grand Avenue Brewing 1205 W Pierce St, Phoenix AZ 85007 (Right off of Grand Ave.) March 11, 2023 Saturday - 4:40 PM for Dinner 2 Adults Atmosphere - 5 stars Food - 5 stars Service - 5 stars Background - Going to a baseball game at Chase, and I had plans when I bought the tickets for restaurant very close. The game sold out and I could not get a reservation. So plans changed and who doesn't love a good brewery. Atmosphere - An old service station/garage turned brewery. More common than you would think. Big garage doors, clearly new, open up the front so you can people watch as you are enjoying your beer. Food Drink - I had two of their beers I love my IPA's and they actually had one with a hop I had never heard of, so I had to try that one. The beer name was Single Hop Zappa, can you guess the name. This was my favorite of the two beers. The second beer was an America Pale Ale, called Hay Ride Pale. A clean crist beer. Dinner - The food stole the show tonight. I was not expecting two amazing dished. The place uses a lot of smoke for their food. You can smell it when you walk in. The first item we picked was the GrandChilada, aka enchilada, it was basically a rolled burrito as it was dry. They had plenty of salsa on the side for it, a best part was the fried egg on top. So ooey and gooey yolk. The smoked pork was little larger than I would like, but it was smoked perfectly and fell apart with the touch of the fork. I think a smoked refried beans would have made an excellent side. My wife and I also split the Buster Burger, and a messy burger at that. It came with a side of smoked potato salad. Amazing!! For a small menu they nailed those two items!! Service - What you need from the bar. You order your food and drinks there. They hand you your drinks. A number for the table, and after a bit of enjoying conversation and beer, the food arrives. Future - Yes please. I could see coming here before a baseball game again. Very easy to get back to the stadium from here.

Best Bolognese in town in my opinion. The staff was more than accommodating. The bartenders are amazing however we are sad our normal peeps have left. Tonight Sean KILLED it with us and so glad he was still there since first meeting him on Halloween. Honestly the reason for 4 stars is the fact the drunken wifey is gone and the 3% credit card fee. We have been coming here for a little over 5 years and never had to pay that. Wild change and slightly bs. You already charge a lot for food and drinks (increases over the years are noticeable with management changes) but when you always have a rather large bill usually $700-sometimes over $1000 depending on the kind of evening we're having it is going to be very noticeable. A change like that needs to be more obvious, minus a little print at the bottom of the menu. No one even noticed (since we really didn't need the menu to order) nor did our server. It truly makes me want to give you a three star but I can't discredit the hard working staff and people in the kitchen, as it is clearly the change of new management and the "rebuild" from the beginning of the year. It speaks volumes to a group that has been dedicated to the Americano since March of 2020 and now makes us wonder if it's time to move onto a different restaurant.

Afterwards, he mentioned that he tasted it and agreed about our comments- I appreciate that level of attention. Shortly after, the food arrived. Spicy pork tacos for me, and BLTA for my wife. The tacos looked a little overdressed. I was so wrong. Flavor and texture were balanced perfectly. The tortillas were firm, but again, perfectly suited to the juicy pork, that had a teriyaki vibe. Sprouts, carrot and cucumber toppings worked well, despite my expectations. The BLTA was HUGE. Great flavor. Both entrees were ordered with sweet potato fries. Unusual cut to them, but seasoned perfectly. I paired mine with chipotle aioli and ate every last one. My only complaint is that I'm only spending one evening in the Phoenix area, and won't be back soon. I would eat this food three times a week without hesitation.

Loved this place!…read more First, we had to change our reservation, and the host could not have been nicer. On a busy Saturday night, he graciously allowed us to push it back by an hour, which we really appreciated. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed. The jungle theme, leopard prints, intimate booths, and dramatic overhead lighting created a fun, unique atmosphere. The service was excellent, the cocktails were delicious, and every dish we ordered was a hit. My son said it may have been the best steak tartare he's ever had (although neither of us was a fan of the plantain chips). It was certainly the best tartare I've had in a very long time, with generous chunks of high-quality steak instead of being overly minced. The baked brie dip was outstanding, the grilled oysters were excellent, and my New York strip was cooked perfectly. My only small criticism is that the oyster appetizer came with just three oysters. For a $19 appetizer, I'd love to see at least four. An even number also makes sharing much easier, although my son generously let me have the extra one! Overall, this is a fantastic concept with great food, great service, and a memorable atmosphere. We can't wait to come back.

I love the animal and jungle themed decor in this upscale restaurant. We were seated right next to the big stuffed leopard which was fun. Our waitress was super personable but there were a few service mistakes. My entree was missing the potatoes it was supposed to come with. And when they boxed my meal, they didn't include everything like the salad and chimichurri sauce. Luckily I checked and was able to get everything added, but staff shouldn't be neglecting or throwing away part of my meal. I would definitely come back here though as the ambience and food were top notch!

I think he could use a little more on his hospitality just because sometimes I feel like he didn't know what to say exactly.
