We hosted a graduation open house for our son in The Den private room at Fate on 7th street. The entire process from beginning inquiry to paying the tab after our event, could not possibly have gone better. Over email, Kerby was responsive, friendly and professional, going out of her way to accommodate our needs for the event. She set us an ease assuring us that every detail would be in place since we were coming in from out of state. When we arrived, the space was all set up for us with tables reserved nearby. Mike was our server and he was amazing! He stayed completely on top of all of our various orders and consistently checked in on us throughout the night. He was friendly and contributed to the fun of an already great atmosphere. The icing on the cake was the delicious food enjoyed by all ! i recently celebrated a birthday at Fate on 7th Street & we were treated like royalty! well, except no crowns like you can get at Burger King. about 15-20 of my friends showed up & our server was great. Mike I think is his name. he stayed on top of everyone's orders & made sure everyone had the alcohol they wanted. I didn't have any food, but it looked & smelled delicious. I heard zero complaints from my friends. i emailed Fate about 10-ish days before the event to make sure they were aware of the event so they could be staffed appropriately and to insure we were all able to sit next to each other. 14/10 would do it again. read more

I tried about six but the staycation was pretty decent. Spinach artichoke is actually pretty good. Doesn't have those hard pieces of artichoke that you usually get with the cheap frozen versions, came with salsa to which is more on the watery sign with a kick it was alright , sweet potato fries are extremely crunchy and hot and they give you aloooot of them I was actually shocked how much they give you they were the best SP fries I've had thus yet perfect crunch , The chicken tacos are a bit spicy if you're like a white person level zero lol but they're pretty flavorful with what is on top of them but in general, I think the chicken is a bit dry but topping help with that problem, the Jess pizza was actually really good. Very crispy probably one of the best thin pizzas I've had our service was pretty decent too This place was pretty spacious and I liked their seating options. Pretty unique we were at a low bench long table type which was nice for mingling and sharing bites i'm surprised with how much I actually ended up liking the food with breweries. We first noticed Fate Brewing Company a few months ago while eating at Neighborly nearby, and after checking out the menu online, we knew we wanted to come back and try it. We stopped in on a not-too-busy Saturday night with friends and had a really great experience overall. Michael greeted us right away, was super friendly, and gave us a few recommendations to start the night. We shared the "Twist of Fate" double pretzel as an appetizer. It was decent, but probably not something we'd order again. The spicy mustard was really good, but the cheese sauce tasted a little too much like ballpark nacho cheese for our liking. The wings, though, absolutely lived up to the hype. Michael told us their bone-in wings -- fried and then grilled -- were "the best," so we ordered both the buffalo and habanero flavors to share. The crispy texture with the grilled finish was so good, and the habanero had great flavor without being overwhelming. My brother-in-law said they were the best wings he's had since moving to Arizona. Their ranch and blue cheese were both excellent too. I'm not much of a drinker, but their water was good. It's rare, but sometimes the water in PHX is just not good, so this made me happy. My husband loved his IPA and everyone else enjoyed trying the beer flights. By the time we ordered dinner, we were already getting full, but the table still decided on another round of wings and a huge side of tots. I ordered the Cajun grilled chicken club with the house-made Cajun chips, and my sister-in-law got the Truff pizza, which she said was really good. Unfortunately, my sandwich ended up being the biggest disappointment of the night. It sounded amazing on paper -- a thick grilled chicken breast, fresh avocado, arugula, crispy bacon, and aioli on toasted sourdough -- but it just lacked flavor. There was really nothing that resembled Cajun seasoning or spice at all, and the same went for the house-made "Cajun" chips. I ate about half, but honestly, it just wasn't very enjoyable. I have been here a number of times and always thought that the food, the beer and especially the service were good. Last time, the beer and the service were very good. The food was dreadful. My friend had a pizza and there was virtually nothing on it. He said it was not good. I can't say because I didn't try it. I had one of the hamburgers. The bun and the accoutrements were fine. The hamburger patties themselves were pathetic. I think I've had better hamburger at Jack in the box. These were extremely thin and had no flavor whatsoever. The best thing was the service. Every time I have been here, the service has been excellent. The servers really seem to want to please. Also, I like the beer. I don't love it because they don't cater to my particular tastes, which run to darker beers, oatmeal stout, darker Ambers. I won't be coming back anytime soon. I'm sorry, but if you can't get a hamburger right and you serve me a patty that is unrecognizable as such, you've probably lost my business. read more

I stopped by Fate Brewing Company - Phoenix for dinner and some drinks on a Sunday evening. Fate has three locations in Phoenix and surrounding areas. Parking wasn't a problem in the spacious free lot they have. Ambiance (4/5): Pretty much the standard well-maintained, modern craft brewery that I've come to love. It's a spacious bar and restaurant with a rectangular bar in the middle of the space and tables on the outskirts. They have a large patio, too. I ended up sitting by the fireplace which had some comfortable seating. They also had several TVs at the bar which is always a plus. Service (4/5): My waiter did a good job overall taking care of me overall. He stopped by with regularity, offered me some samples (three to be exact, which was awesome), and was friendly. On the flip side, he got part of my order wrong but it was a quick fix. And this isn't his fault but a pet peeve of mine. They use those electronic readers instead of a paper receipt which doesn't show you an itemized receipt before you pay. You can always ask but restaurants/bars should be proactive. It's nice to be able to see what I ordered to make sure the bill is correct before I pay! Food (3.5/5): Fate has a nice menu consisting of elevated bar food: appetizers, sandwiches/burgers, and pizzas for the most part. I went with the crispy chicken sandwich (which comes with coleslaw, mayo, and Swiss cheese) with tater tots (for a small up charge). Pretty good sammy though a bit too greasy. Partially my fault for ordering a fried entree. The bread was also too think to hold the sandwich which made it a messy eat. All in all, pretty solid though. And good portion size. Drinks (5/5): This is the part of my dining experience that I really enjoyed. Whenever I go to a brewery, I love to get a flight. That way, I can try a good variety of their beers. While I didn't see flights mentioned on the menu, I asked the waiter, and he said they were available. You get your choice of 4 beers. I went with a two sours, a Japanese-style lager, and another beer that's escaping me. You don't see sours too often so that was awesome. All of the beers I had were quality. And here's the icing on the cake: you can purchase 4-packs of beer to take with you to-go. I did that with the Shinjuku (Japanese-style larger) to remind me of my time in Japan. Came around 2:30 on a Sunday and got right in and had a great waiter named Michael . Everyone was pleasant to interact with and the food we got was prettt decent for the price . The nachos were thin chips and tasty . Our friend got a steak salad and rated it an 8/10 . She liked the steak texture and raved about the ranch dressing . The original Fate Brewing might have been the very first stop for my old "Hike and Brew UYE" (Un-Official Yelp Event), so I'm thrilled to see them successfully expanding their footprint across the Valley! The Food: Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Drunken Chicken Salad and a Burger. While the menu hits the classic brewery notes, both were flawlessly prepared and appetizing. The real MVP for me? The tater tots. If you know me, you know I'm all about that "healthy balance"--give me the salad, but I'm definitely getting a side of crispy tots! Do you like mediocre, at best, food? How about a waitress you can't hear (even when the place is pretty empty)? How about dry spicy burgers? Then THIS is the place for you... enjoy. If these things don't sound like your cup of tea, welcome to civilization. The place was pretty empty and we were sat in the farthest possible booth from the bar and door. Then our waitress came and I swear she was the low talker from Seinfeld. Who knows what she said... couldn't make out anything she said. This is a brewery, right? They are "known" for brewing beer. So I ordered a beer... out of it. I ordered a different one... nope. I ordered a third choice beer, and finally got one. It was fine. But when you go to a brewery, and they have an extensive list of beers they allege to brew, you would think that a major focus would be on actually having on tap the beers that they brew and list on a menu. We ordered the pretzels. Very good actually. The sauces were good, but the pretzels themselves were devoid of salt. That said, this item is what bumped my review up from 1 star to 2. Bravo. As noted in some other reviews, this place is not organized... we asked for plates for our pretzels and I could see them about 10 yards away at the bar. Well, the girl who we asked must have taken the very long route for some reason, because those pretzels sat on our table for at least two minutes before I finally saw her go to get the plates. Listen, I understand multitasking, but when you bring us hot food to eat, but without a plate to serve ourselves on, and we ask for a plate, that should be a priority so that we can, you know, enjoy the hot food that you JUST served us. Along those lines, each of our subsequent dishes came out at different times. Again, the place was not busy. I ordered the hot honey burger. It came with "seasoned" chips. The chips were unseasoned. Salted? Mayyyyybe. Basically, they were super crunchy (some burnt?) potato slices... not a chip that anyone would serve at a party, or ask to put in a bag to eat later, or literally what was noted as "seasoned" on the menu. Weak. Now for my burger. Just thinking about this burger a couple hours later now is making me cringe. It was dry. Ever have a dry burger before? I do not recommend. It was almost mealy. Super strange. It was supposed to have hot honey and some other spicy nonsense and a whipped cheese. I think those things were only on half of my burger... so it was dry and unappealing, and half of it was a step above dog food. I hate to be harsh... but it was brutal. One of those things like when you're a kid and your parents make you eat your vegetables even though you don't like them but you know they're good for you? That was this burger... I knew it wouldn't be good for me, but it was almost 8pm on a school night (we had our 3rd grader with us), and I knew i needed to fill my belly. I suppose I chose sustenance over enjoyment for this meal. My wife ordered the fries... also supposedly "seasoned." They looked great, actually! But mannnnn, these were bland too! No seasoning. Fried potato spears. Super disappointing and weak. My son had the chicken tenders. They looked pretty good, but he said he didn't like them. His comments had no bearing on this review because I didn't eat it, and to be honest, I have a good palate and can tell when I'm eating something really good. Hint: tonight I didn't get that feeling. In closing, this was a super disappointing experience. I drive by here multiple times a day and as a beer and brewery fan (big ups HOMES Brewing in Ann Arbor, MI), I had been wanting to try Fate. Thanks to the pretzels, which were good, but not near the top of anyone's pretzel ranking pyramid, this review was spared from the dreaded 1-star review. Let me start with this place checks all the boxes. I would probably give it 4.7 stars, but it's closer to 5 stars than it is 4 stars. The atmosphere is simple, appealing and very clean. Modern and almost California like. The menu had a good selection and the food itself was fantastic. I don't have anything to complain about and it had a ton of flavor, hot. The fish's batter and how it was cooked was to near perfection. Crunchy and not dry hallelujah! Tarter was tangy and perfect for the fish. Would I order either of the things we ordered again absolutely 100%. Pizza... drooling from the mouth! We were watching other food orders coming by us as well and everything looked very well presented and yummy! We had four different types of beer all to which were cold and unique / original. Fate Brewing Company in Phoenix is a decent place with a great atmosphere, making it a solid stop if you're in the area. It's definitely worth checking out, but there's one major heads-up I have to give everyone: the food can be extremely salty. I ordered the Drunken Chicken with fries, and while the dish itself was tasty and perfectly cooked, the seasoning was definitely overdone. If you are sensitive to salt, you might want to ask them to go light on the seasoning. However, the dish was completely rescued by the amazing dipping sauce! I can't for the life of me remember the name of it, but it was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the chicken and the fries. Seriously, that sauce alone gets a star! Overall, the place has a good vibe and good service, and my dish was well-prepared aside from the heavy hand with the salt shaker. My boyfriend ordered the wings and enjoyed them a lot! I got The Truff gluten free pizza, which is on Udi's crust. They don't charge extra for gluten free and I love that. Like thank you, seriously. The crust itself is on the thinner side and a little chewy but it was a tasty pizza! There was a heaping amount of arugula and I ate some of it on its own LOL but I love arugula. Last but not least -- the service was PHENOMENAL. Sat at the bar and Jesse knocked it kit of the park. Once he had an idea of what I liked, he make sure to bring tasters of other beers that I might like unprompted and was incredibly knowledgeable about each one. Having driven across Arizona, from Phoenix to Grandy Canyon & back, trying many breweries, I will let all the 'it's average raters'- know, it is far above average Easy lot parking access- Ample indoor seating variety-options from booths, bar seating, comfy lounge couches in front of a fireplace, high top tables, and outdoor patio- bonus free activities (corn hole, ping pong, foosball) We selected a spot at the bar, ready to order a flight- we happened to arrive on an ASU game day, so the bar seating was packed, but bartenders were delightfully chatty & attentive with AZ locals- it was a great hometown feeling When selecting our flight, the bartender let us know there wasn't specific flight requirement, but they suggest only ordering up to 4 beers at a time- when I was indecisive, the bartender was nice about suggesting a sample of varieties before committing to pours- Settling on choices, we tried all of the IPAS, the famous chili gato, and the rich King Candy (I was super upset to find out the famous Candy Bar kicked) Each beer was so flavorful- I rated all 4-5stars untapped- each had unique profiles, very identifiable from the specific descriptions. Has a less than favorable experience at another Fate location so the owner reached out to me and offered gift cards to give them another try. Happened to be in the area nearby the central Phoenix location decided to give them another chance. I am so glad I did. The service was fast and very attentive. Went here for a quarterly office meetup event. They have a conference room on the side so good for small team events. Have a small outdoor area with some fun game setups. I would say not the very usual brewery setup but it feels modern and fancy. Has a parking lot outside but I won't be surprised if that gets full often. Coming to beer and drinks, the options are nice overall. Tried 2 beers and both tasted nice and fresh. However, my experience with old-fashioned was pathetic. Maybe one of the worst old-fashioned I have ever tried. Food was bar food and did not have a chance to look into any other food menu that they may have had. The staff was nice overall. We always love coming to Fate this is our go to spot! Ever since they opened we frequently come here for great food and drinks. The service is always excellent, and it's a big restaurant for large gatherings. They always keep it clean and it's a fun vibe! My favorite part is the games outside, I love a bar where I can play some corn hole, ping pong, and foos ball. We enjoyed the pretzel appetizer, they have a great Cabernet Sauvignon and my boyfriend loves their beer. I tried the fried chicken sandwich which wasn't my favorite, it came with sauce but I feel like the breast itself was a little dry, it was okay. We also tried their corn bread fritters which were alright, just a personal opinion I'm not a fan of jalapeño, it wasn't spicy but the taste wasn't my favorite but a lot of people there rave about them. Have been to Fate many times and have always been really impressed with the above average bar food and good customer service. I really like their Irish Red Beer and the simple industrial look of the interior. We always sit at the bar with great experiences, BUT when we went on Thanksgiving Eve, the bar server Brittany had dirty rags in several areas along the bar, the most disturbing one was the dirty bar rag by the POS ( right in front of where we sat), so no only did we have to look at the dirty, damp bar rag all the time we were there, but e also saw Brittany touch the rag, and then go pour some beers, touch rag again, type on POS, etc.. Then we saw her empty the trash can and then pour more beers, make drinks and hand food plates to customers. Not once did she wash or even alcohol off her hands. Saw plenty of peppy servers hugging each other and high-fiving each other, but not one could take those gross dirty bar rags away or out of sight? I might not come back, good bar hygiene is not being observed there. Maybe Brittany needs re-educated? Ps there was obviously no decent manager on shift the night before Thanksgiving? We went here while on vacation last weekend and had a good experience while sitting at the bar. I ordered off the brunch menu and got the wings/pretzel deal with habanero honey sauce and they were quite delightful. I tried a couple local beers that were nice as well. The server was a little off today as you could tell something was frustrating her for the time we were there. So we did have some delays in getting some service but it wasn't terrible. The bathroom was clean and neat and the overall environment was very open and inviting. I can usually finishy meals but this was so much that I had to save a few wings from for a snack later that evening. And they were still quite good cold.
