Had a repair done on my car from damage that occurred on the highway, not a crash. i was skeptical that any place that works on cars could be an easy experience. but they were GREAT! they worked directly with my insurance company and made the process painless. specifically 1. they got the work done in one day less than they projected. 2. they had a hertz rental agent on site, and i was able to pick up and drop off the rental right there 3. they provided automated email updates on the progress 4. they explained everything very clearly 5. the work product was great 6. the staff was very nice and easy to work with. very professional without being cold. 7. they CLEANED MY CAR so that it was cleaner than when i brought it in... VERY NICE TOUCH! i would highly recommend these people again. also, the inside of the shop is very clean and comfortable to wait... not that i ever had to wait very long for anything. read more

Terrible communication, lack of professionalism, and pride on their work, took 22 days for the car to get fixed after a small fender bender. Came to pick it up and noticed the lack of pride on their work, how can I believe in their quality work when my car is returned with greasy finger prints and a layer of dust in the exterior and dirty interior? Even with a small spider web, and to make matters worst, an employee told me they are a body shop not a detail shop, I agree with him. I guess there is no pride in showing off their "quality work". I got it back dirtier than when they received it. I spoke with a manager not caring to get my car clean, just to ask if they offer a courtesy wash and vacuum after completion of a job, he said yes, and offered to wash the car while I waited. Due to their lack of deadlines and communication, Hertz charged me out of pocket because they kept hearing my car would be finished a certain day, that didn't happen so I had to keep calling to have the shop tell Hertz they still had my car. Their excuse to keep the car for so long was parts didn't arrive and/or were wrong even tho they ordered the right parts. At the end Hertz charged me $234 out of pocket because of the shop lack of communication with me and Hertz. I don't think is fair for me to pay for a rental when the shop took too long and didn't communicate. I don't believe the wrong parts story. I know how busy they get, they just don't have time to finish cars on time. I'm still dealing with Hertz, I do not recommend this place to you if you care about your time and money. I wish I would have chosen a different shop with professional employees that pride on their work. read more

I was really skeptical about the 5-star rating of this place, but they were the best rated out of the 5 nearby collision centers that State Farm recommended. I hit a deer on Route 50 which damaged the front left side of my car. I called State Farm who sent all of my info over to Arlington Collision Center, and by the time I got there (after first getting caught in a speed-trap & getting a speeding ticket), they had all of my information and were ready for me. Got an initial estimate of a ~2 week repair (Thanksgiving was in the middle of the repair window) & they called Enterprise to get me a rental car. 5 days later - and right before I had to leave town for Thanksgiving - I got a call saying that my car was ready. It looked brand new, and I got to take my own car on my Thanksgiving road trip. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Great customer service & excellent results! read more

I just picked my car up from Arlington Collision last night. Mine was an insurance claim and they made the process seamless. They communicated directly with my insurance company when they found additional damage, and took care of everything. They gave me an estimated completion date of Jan. 23, but contacted me on the 15th to say it would be ready on the 17th. When I picked it up, not only was the planned work completed beautifully, but they buffed out some scratches I had from a prior altercation with a pole in the parking garage at work. They were super friendly (translates to laughed at my dumb jokes) and checked in periodically to provide updates while they had my car. I hope I don't need body work again in the future, but if I do, I will definitely go back to Arlington Collision. And I will be recommending them to anyone in need of body work for their vehicles. read more

Then they said there was more damage and it wouldn't be done until the next Wed. Next I received an email that they didn't have the part but it was expected that day, Tuesday, May 23, but the car would be ready by 3pm May 26. Today, I received yet another email that the part just arrived and that my car would not be ready for another week!!! I have been without a vehicle for 10 days, which was drivable the entire time, and now I have to go without a car another week!!! read more

My car was parked outside at my apartment complex when a flower pot from my neighbors balcony fell on the roof of it. My 2011 Hyundai. True story. I went to Arlington Collision Center, and I am so glad I did. I called, and Cal saw me that day and gave me the estimate. He told me that whenever I was ready to bring it in, let him know since they had to wait 2 weeks to get all the parts in. (I am curious to see how a new roof is shipped, but I digress) One thing with ACC is that the place is open, bright and clean, unlike other auto shops. I could have waited there all day reading magazines and drinking my free bottle of water. Everyone is friendly and gets to you as soon as possible. Parts were shipped, I dropped my car off. Jeff sent me regular email updates on the progress of my car, and issues between ACC and the insurance company. It took 10 days for them to repair the roof, which meant basically taking off the top half of my car! I called to see if my car was ready and it was. It looks better than new. There is no hint of a scratch on the car! It also smelled like new too. Jeff gave me laymans speak on extra damage they found to the car as well. They also washed and vacuumed the car before giving it to me. Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy a clean car for too long as it was raining when I picked it up, but I appreciate the extra care they gave to my car. I cannot recommend Arlington Collision Center enough. I hope I don't have car damages where I would have to see them again, but if I do, they will be the first people I call. read more

These guys were fantastic. Super-nice, thorough and very helpful each time I spoke with them. Our car got rear-ended in April, and the insurance inspector (from the other guy's insurance company, ALFA) gave it a cursory glance and said we just needed a new bumper, no big deal. These guys looked under there and realized that, actually, no, we need an entire new rail underneath our car. This was bad news, because it pretty much totalled our car. I showed up to sign some papers for them just as they were closing around 6. Jeff, the guy who was assigned to my car, was already off the clock, but still took the time to get on the ground and show me the undercarriage of my car and the damage that the insurance inspector missed. It wasn't easily spotted but it was a significant crumple in a part that isn't safe to drive with crumpled. He drew me a diagram and explained why this was so bad and dangerous to drive with. Later, I offered to deal w/ the insurance company, but they told me that they would take care of all that because they had more experience. That was fine with me, and I really appreciated them taking the load of that conversation off of my back. I really appreciated that they kept me informed of every step in the process and were fantastic communicators. I highly recommend these guys to anyone needing auto body work in the area. read more

I asked a few shops, including the ford dealership themselves, and everyone said it'd cost around $200 and take about a week. I took my car to ACC after I accidentally backed into someone and did extensive damage to my vehicle. The customer service was excellent, the staff was friendly and very informative. I received e-mails that gave me status reports on where my car was in the process. The time that it took to fix my car extended slightly because of additional work they found that needed to be done, and this was explained clearly in an e-mail. When I received my car, the fix was perfect, and it's impossible to tell that any damage is done. They give you a lifetime guarantee on their work as well. I was in an accident that tore up the body on the entire driver's side of my car. My wheels were destroyed and my sad little mirror was clinging by a thread. Arlington Collison Center took great care of my car. I checked the odometer before and after, and there were no questionable additions (though I admit my car certainly is not high end). I received updates from Paul and Iris as my car advanced through the repair process. Iris was very courteous to me, given that I probably asked many dumb questions (this was the first major accident I'd ever been in). ;) ACC was honest, leaving untouched the big scratches on the side of my car that wasn't damaged in the accident. (The scratches were from a previous encounter with a parking garage column; I never put in a claim for it...) Paul explained that they couldn't repair those scratches under my insurance, since they were preexisting. I am all for honesty, so this was perfectly fine in my book. I was in a minor accident for the first time in my life. I rear ended someone on the highway in heavy traffic because I was lost. The damage to my car seemed so minor that when I initially reported the accident to my insurance I told them I didn't think I would bother getting it fixed. However, turns out my seatbelt had locked as some sort of saftey measure. So, I didn't really have a choice because it was really annoying and not safe. I took my car into Arlington Collision expecting to get an estimate and schedule a time to come back. I was told because of the seatbelt thing, the car was considered not drivable. I was shocked. Turns out the damage was worse than what it looked like from the outside too. They people at Arlington Collision Center were so great. They called Enterprise and someone was there to pick me up within 15 minutes. While my car was there (10 days total) I got emails every couple of days with updates. They expected to have my car for a little over two weeks, but were done ahead of schedule. My car looks better now than it has in years. Not only did they do a wonderful job with the repairs, they vacuumed out the inside and threw out the bag of trash I had in there (as I said I didn't expect to leave it that day). They also fixed a flip up CD holder that had been broken for years even though that wasn't an area that was damaged in the accident. I highly, highly recommend this place. Although getting your car repaired is unpleasant, they make it as good of an experience as it could possibly be. read more

I brought my car here for repair after a fender bender. The employee who did the assessment was very professional and informative as he evaluated my car. That seemed like a good sign, so I decided to go with them for the actual repair. Things just went downhill from there. They told me my car would be ready in two weeks and they actually sent me emails and text messages daily to tell me that my car was going to be ready on that date. But once that date came, I got radio silence. When I called to confirm that I could pick up my car, they told me it wasn't ready but would "probably" be ready the next day and they would call to let me know. I ended up having to call every single business day after that because I never got any updates. And they ended up keeping my car for an extra week beyond the original due date. I wouldn't have minded that except that they blasted me with texts and emails for two weeks telling me it would be ready on a certain day, and then when it wasn't ready, the communication completely stopped. When I finally got my car back, the work looked good but someone had shoved food wrappers into the center console of my car. They also left extra bolts and random debris from the repair in the cup holders. Seriously? There is no excuse for that and it just suggests that they were probably doing other unprofessional things regarding my car as well. Overall, while the work ended up being good, the experience was wholly unsatisfactory. read more

This place is the BOMB! My brand new (2 month old) Prius V was hit by some guy who didn't know to look in his side view mirror. His Lincoln scratched and dented my car from the passenger side door ALL the way to the back bumper! Arlington Collision Center asked to have a look at my car a few days ahead to be sure they had the parts and to explain everything they needed to do. Once they had my car for repairs, they got me and my daughter to the rental car place and they called twice a day with updates and to answer questions. My car was ready 3 days ahead of schedule! AND it looks BRAND NEW again. Plus it was vacuumed and washed. I was treated like a valued customer and I never dealt with Lincoln guy's insurance--Arlington Collision Center did. The worst customer service I've ever experienced at any auto shop. People at Arlington Collusion center from the person who handles the call, front desk staff, and the person who handles your claims are completely rude. They will overly estimate the days/hours it takes to fix your vehicle because this only means they make more money by hours to fix your cars. My vehicle has only slight damage from a car accident which should take only a week to do, but Arlington collusion estimated it to be three weeks, but got it done in a week and a half which I'm sure if i do not call and keep tap on the car, they would take their time so they can charge the insurance company more. The reason why i would only take my car there is because the good reviews I found here on yelp and they are the direct shop for my auto insurance. I was so led down by the reviews thinking it would be a good place to get my car fixed. After this visit, I probably take my car elsewhere that offers a better customer service and the shop that ain't trying to rip you off. P.S. the claim about picking you up and dropping you off from Pentagon metro/Shirlington station is only true if your vehicle is drive-able. That's probably something they should state on their website since the customer would be dropping their car there, obviously would need a ride to the closest public transportation. read more

On the other hand the service I received at this shop was deplorable. First arriving at the shop I asked an Asian gentleman(who obviously works there) where do I go for an estimate. He seemed annoyed that I even ask this question. He was to worried about smoking his cigarette. I find the office and the guys in there were to busy talking to acknowledge my presence. I was dropping off my pooch at doggy day care across from Arlington Collision Center this morning and decided to pop in to ask if they fixed leaking sunroofs. We had purchased our 2003 Ford Expedition two years prior and the sunroof had leaked from the beginning. I could see a tiny gap between the seal and the roof and figured it needed a new seal. I had thus far taken care of the problem with the fix-all duct tape, which worked nicely until the hubby returned from deployment , tried to open the sunroof and was most unhappy with my little fix. I went into ACC and asked if they fixed sunroofs, the lady behind the counter was most attentive and very nice. Calvin immediately came out from behind the counter and said, "Lemme take a look at it." "Now?" I asked. And we walked over to the doggy place. He thought it might need a bit of adjusting and asked me to drive over to the shop, which I did. 15 mins later the thing was fixed! I also asked him what it would cost to fix a small area of paint on the tailgate that was "bubbling". He said he could fix it so that it looked nicer, but that it would bubble up again in a year or so due to what was probably an underlying rust problem - that I should try to keep it free of salt and such during the winter season and keep an eye on it. When I went to pay for the sunroof fix he said, "Don't worry about it - it only took a few minutes." I insisted several times and he refused. Arlington Collision Center will definitely be my go-to place for auto body work (we now have 2 new teenaged drivers so it's inevitable - right?). Incidentally, I see these guys at work every morning and evening when dropping off/picking up my dog. The shop is always neat, the workers are very polite and they seem to take good care of the vehicles while moving them and working on them. I just finished my second visit here. The first time was maybe 6 months ago after someone rear ended my parked car. (The person was nice enough to leave a note - thank you, kindness). Arlington Collision was great from the initial assessment to keeping in touch throughout the repair process. It was seamless working with them, my insurance company, and the rental car. The rear bumper still seems to be in great shape after their repair. My second visit was to obtain an estimate for damage I sustained myself to the front passenger underside of the car. The only visible harm to the car was that part of the plastic bumper casing came loose. I was hoping against hope that they could just pop the bumper casing back on (despite my unsuccessful tries), but I was mentally preparing for an expensive repair to correct internal damage that I could not see. All that worry was in vain! The guy doing the estimate was indeed able to pop the casing back on the frame. Even though I asked several times whether there was any internal damage or any repairs needed to protect the future safety of the bumper, he consistently told me it was fine and also that the plastic part would not fall off. He offered to repair the scratches to the underside of the bumper if I wanted, but, really, in DC? Instead of taking my wallet for a ride, he did a little on the spot repair and sent me on my way. Such kindness, honesty, and integrity!! Thank you!! You guys had a faithful customer after my first visit with you. After this experience, I am shouting your name from the rooftops! For me, personally, I develop such appreciation for service places that tell you when you do not need their services; that honesty definitely goes far to earn my trust. read more

These guys are the best of the best. I was inadvertently a pretty terrible customer, and they did their absolute best to satisfy my needs. I went out of town for a week and when I returned, I urgently needed my car repaired in time for the following weekend. I called at 7:57 AM on a Monday morning (they open at 8) and they answered. I asked if I could bring my car by, they said yes, although they hadn't ordered my parts yet bc i didn't tell them I was coming in advance (my fault). In the 10 minutes from the time I called to the time I arrived, they had already called to order the parts. They told me to expect an email Wednesday to tell me if my parts were in and if my car would be ready by the weekend. As promised, I got an email early Wednesday telling me my parts were received and there was more damage than they initially thought, but they would aim to have it done by EOB Friday. Friday noonish, they called me to say it was finished. I popped in, (again, super inconveniently for them) about 3 minutes before they closed to pick up my car and they had my car ready and waiting for me. Really professional, friendly, trustworthy folks. Absolutely go here if you can. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! I recently had some damage done to my car and brought it to ACC to get it repaired. I read the reviews both positive and negative and since there were more positive reviews I decided to give them a try. BIG MISTAKE. While the body work done on the car turned out fine (it did take over 3 weeks to complete which was annoying but acceptable), when I picked up the car the clutch was completely burnt out. I had just had the clutch replaced 16000 miles ago so I didn't think that was the issue. I immediately drove my car down to my mechanic and he confirmed what I thought. I spoke to the Manager at ACC (Calvin W) and explained the situation. He basically told me that they had nothing to do with it and the damage had already been done. My argument was simple. I dropped it off, it was driving fine. I picked it up and now its not driving fine. You need to fix it. After arguing with him for days he flat out refused to not only reimburse me the full amount of the clutch repair, but also didn't want to pay for any part of the damage done. So now I'm stuck with a $2000 bill from damage caused while my car was in their care. They might be a decent body shop but if anything happens to your car while it is there they will NOT fix it or make any sort of amends. Once they get your money they want nothing to do with you. Needless to say I won't be going back there and you shouldn't either. I'm looking into legal action as I write this and trying to track down the actual owner of the shop to get this resolved. In the meantime, there are many other shops to go to so my advice is that if you have a nicer/newer car, take it elsewhere. READ THE GOOGLE REVIEWS TOO! read more

I used them the first time about a year ago, and was extremely impressed with the quality of the work and the how organized the office staff seemed to be. It was work done on someone else's insurance - the person who hit my car. I then used them again in Jan 2015 for an insurance claim I made due to my own accident with my vehicle. The body work looked to be very high quality, which is why I chose them vs. a company recommended by my insurance. It took longer than they predicted by about a week - not unexpected but inconvenient. My biggest complaints are that they did not replace the seal on the truck cap and bed that keeps it from leaking, after removing the cap. I took it in to show them, and the attitude was one of disinterest in making it right, almost like they didn't think I had a valid claim. But they said OK, they'd fix the seal, and would call me. Which they didn't. So I followed up and he said "Oh, I honestly forgot", which is what I knew was going to happen. So, I said I understand, and he promised to call me, after me putting him on the spot, early the next week. Which he didn't. So I called back. And he said, oh, my body guy still needs to get the seal, and I said this isn't a very dificult part to find, is it? And he said, no, not at all. He said he'll order it and call me. I said why don't we just commit to an appt. time when I can bring it in and you will have the material, since getting the material didn't seem to be an issue - they just had to actually do it. So he did commit -said to bring it by anytime on Wed. and that I could just wait for them to put it on. So I went on Wed. and he wasn't there - he just went to buy the material. So I wasted a trip. So I then went in on friday, and was told I needed to leave the car instead of waiting. So I dropped it off, and the bodyman (another guy) first had to go and shoo some neighborhood dog across the street who was hanging around the shop while I stood there with my wife waiting to be served. After keeping us waiting while he chased stray dogs down the street, he came to look at what needed to be fixed, took the keys, floated some attitude as if he was doing us a favor, and took the vehicle. I got it back later that day. Checked the clamps that help the cap on - not all were fully snug, so I did this myself. Fix did appear to work - no leaks. My issue - failure to follow up, attitude of "quit bothering us with this", lack of attention to detail that made me return to them in the first place, and cold reception by workers and office staff. Lots of body shops around - I'll go elsewhere next time. They lost a customer on this one. read more

I've been here twice - once for some body work and most recently for repair job when my car was hit while parked. Both times I was provided with an accurate estimate, was given regular updates about the repair stage my car was in, and the work they did was excellent. My car was ready on the day they said it would be, and they called as soon as it was done. What is also impressive is that every single person I dealt with from the initial estimate through the end of the transaction was very professional and pleasant. Came here for an estimate to get my bumper cover fixed. One of the edges was hanging off, nothing broken otherwise. They told me it could not be fixed and quoted me a new bumper cover for $1000. Took it to another place, and all they did was attach the cover back in its place and screwed it in 10 minutes. Just saved myself a grand by not doing work here. I would stay away, unless you got tons of money to burn. read more

Do not take your car here. I do not believe the shop has good supplier relations because it took too long for them to receive parts to repair my car (twice). Their workmanship is sloppy and second-rate. I did a walk-around and noticed three issues (including a very loose screw in the wheel well) when I picked up my car (the first time). They were able to tighten a screw on the spot, but the other two things required rework of 7 days. One of those things I noticed was a scratch to my front bumper that they caused. It was not there in the "before repair" photos; I knew I had not dropped off my car with that issue. They caused the 6" scratch which required sanding and repainting of my bumper. You don't pick up a car after 2.5 weeks and expect to see damage! One male employee literally said to me "That's the business we're in. Accident repair. You've seen our parking lot," as if it was to be expected that I would find a scratch on my bumper when I picked up the car, and that I should not be surprised. The only positive about the shop is one employee named Mike O. (an estimator) who communicated well with emails and phone calls and responded nicely and professionally at all times, particularly when I told him about the problems with the initial repair and the scratch. He wanted to "make things right" for me because the company had not repaired my car well the first time and caused further damage with the scratch. He's a good employee who works for a slipshod, careless, poorly managed company. He should do himself a favor and find an employer that matches his level of professionalism and better standards, but that's up to him. If you care about details, if you care about work done right the first time, if you care about getting your car back fairly clean and within a reasonable amount of time, if you care about a non-hazardous parking lot, if you care about excellent customer service from all staff, I urge you not to trust your car repair to this shop, even if it's on your Insurance Company's list.
