Absolutely love this restaurant. It's one of my favorite places to eat in town... If you're looking for the best dessert you've ever had in the northwest the tiramisu is off the charts amazing. Delicious. I also really like their pizza selection very easy on the gut. Super easy to digest with clean ingredients. On Sunday night, they have an amazing lasagna! I haven't been here in a while for the lasagna, but definitely a sweet treat whenever I can remember to come on a Sunday night. I love the staff here always very friendly and fun, Great atmosphere. It's been a long time since we have eaten here. We keep hearing how it has improved so we decided to try it again. While recovering from surgery, I was not up to cooking dinner. I was craving pizza. This was the best choice in town. Our waitress, Devyn, was a joy, very attentive, and was handling several tables with real pleasantry. We ordered two galls of a Barbera and Montepulciano. Both glass were pleasing and filled full. The only downside is the glasses are small so you can't swirl for the aroma or aerate the wine. The garlic bread has a nice crust and soft center. They will also you bring you a tray if olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip it in. It's a nice umami of savory, sweet, and salty. The side Caesar Salad comes with a very tasty and traditional dressing where you can taste the anchovies and dijon mustard. The Jersey Tomato Salad is loaded with tomatoes, artichoke hearts and Kalamata olives on a bed of crispy greens. The pizza was a big hit. A perfectly thin and crispy crust, light on the cheese, chunky tomatoes instead of a traditional marinara sauce, fresh rosemary and mushrooms, and sausage with fennel. So happy we dined here. The food was excellent. The sauces in the pasta dishes were excellent! The portions were very good. The value was decent. The chef's are great, one dropped off our food, the other came to our table to confirm our satisfaction. The restaurant is laid out nicely it's not huge, so Mae a reservation. I had the Penne, with sausage. My wife had the scallops, our friends had a shrimp dish and chicken parmigiana! All the dishes looked great and tasted great. The garlic bread is excellent. For dessert the chocolate mouse was also superb. Service was good. Overall a great dinner and experience. We highly recommend Arlo's now! read more

We celebrated a milestone at Arlo's with some good friends who recommended this spot. So glad we listened and met there. The Italian food there is off the hook! We had some delicious stuffed artichoke hearts, great garlic bread, delicious house wine for the whole table and that was just to start. I had the linguini with clams and it was amazing. My son, his friend and my wife all loved what they ordered. Everyone else seemed to love their food as well. We sat indoors but near where the doors open. It was perfect. We got the indoor vibes with the outdoor freshness. We could also hear the live music out on the patio just fine, and it was good music. Every time I asked her about something she acted like I was strange.... I asked for bread and got a blank look. Food was ok. Avoid the bruschetta though! We were vacationing in Sandpoint and spotted Arlo's while cruising downtown. Sandpoint is a beach town so you don't have to worry about dressing up, even for a place like Arlo's. The concierge noted our reservation and seated us quickly. However, she forgot to notify a server, so a long interval passed before she reappeared, apologizing profusely for the lapse, and took care of our table personally the rest of the evening. Even the best bistros have slips but the concierge handled it in exactly the right way. We settled in with a bottle of wine, some garlic bread and antipasti as we perused the bill of fare. The entrees were cioppino and eggplant parmesan. I was very impressed by the generous amount of seafood in the cioppino. Every element of the meals was quite tasty. You cannot do better. read more

This spot is fantastic. The owner is super friendly and talks to every customer. I was sitting at the bar by myself and he even walked me over to the see the specials menu. The food and wine is to die for. So good. I got the bruschetta and a side of burrata. The bolognese pasta- I subbed it for spaghetti noodles. But the sauce is amazing. I even added meatballs. They are big and juicy. The flavors are bomb! They are homemade I even asked. The garlic bread and wine was really good as well. Definitely worth a try read more

The food was good but the service wasn't. First of all they were out of seafood ( they had 3 orders of shrimp and still had scallops, but out of everything else) and 5 items on the wine list were sold out. We had an order of garlic bread which was yummy. 3 out of 4 of our dishes came out in a reasonable amount of time, the 4 we ended up ask a different waiter where it might be because our waiter was MIA. They brought the 4th dish and our waiter magically appeared. The pesto tortellini was the hit of the table, followed by the chicken piccata which had a very delicious lemon sauce. The daily soup of sausage and mushrooms was solid as well as the shrimp tuscan off the appetizer menu for my dinner. The late dish was a bologna spaghetti,baked was mediocre. It was nice that the piccata was able to substitute vegetables instead of pasta. When our waiter returned long after the meal was over (probably 20 minutes after we were done eating) she did state that she was sorry, but there was a table of 8 kids that were taken all of her time. She didn't even ask if we wanted dessert. Very disappointed that we were less important than a table of kids! Will probably never go back again, even though the food was better than average. read more

I just finished off the Seafood Abbondanza. Overall it was very good; good flavor, nice textures, totally filling and and almost totally satisfying. Why almost? They leave the tails on the shrimp! Especially for shrimp going into a sauce this "tail on" practice is very inconvenient for diners! Arlo's is a better restaurant than this! My boyfriend and I LOVE Arlos!! We live in Spokane but make it a priority to stop in and have some grub every time we make our way up. The pesto tortellini and burrata pizza is always a 10/10. Occasionally we might indulged in dessert and get their cannolis :) Overall Arlos has great food, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. Visited during a recent trip to Sandpoint and were impressed! The shrimp pasta and garlic bread were delicious, in fact the smell of the garlic bread as we were passing was what made us stop in . We weren't impressed with the pizza, the crust was good but the very large tomatoes just didn't work and it wasn't what we were expecting. The ambiance and service were great and they even had live music. Overall, I would come again but would stick to the pasta and garlic bread! read more

So although I've enjoyed trying pizza at 100's of different places until recently I didn't love pizza. Four weeks ago Arlo's changed that. The crust was the star of the show it's the real deal! Imagine this: a crust that's soft and airy with a slight chew, right? It's thin in the middle, so you get this beautiful, slight char from the blazing hot wood-fired oven, but then the edges puff up to create these gorgeous, pillowy rims. They're slightly crispy on the outside but still tender inside. And the flavor, man, it's got this subtle tang from the natural yeast fermentation. It's like each bite takes you straight to the streets of Naples. Absolute perfection, if you ask me! read more

The food was drenched in oily sauce. It was thrown in the microwave to melt the cheese they slapped on top. The breading on the veal was soggy. The pizza was extremely salty. They asked us if we had a reservation, on a Monday night and the place was practically empty. We saw another family come in as we were leaving. They did not ask them if they had a reservation. Ordered take out here tonight and while it's certainly not terrible it's also not that great. We thought the garlic bread was super tasty, our pasta dishes were fine, however the chicken tasted like it had been steamed or boiled? Just an awkward texture, kind of chewy. We also ordered dessert and I'll be honest, the cheesecake we had was really inedible. I don't know if it needed to be warmed up or it had previously been frozen but it didn't taste like cheesecake. It was pretty eggy, had a weird texture, and kind of bland. I feel terrible leaving such a negative review because it appeared this place would be a knock out but I don't think it was in the cards for us, folks. Went for the first time a few days ago with another couple. Ambiance was nice. Location was nice Wait crew nice. Ordered spaghetti with meatballs and my husband ordered the cioppino Both meals were not good at all. The spaghetti was runny and the tomatoes were half cooked...not a sauce. The meatballs tasted funky. The cioppino looked like it was made with canned spaghetti sauce and frozen fish. It was anything close to real cioppino. We did not get any bread with the meal but had to order it (and pay $4). The upside to the night was the wine, a Merlot from Pend O'reille Winery. I had high hopes for this place as the restaurant industry in Downtown Sandpoint is dwindling fast the past few years. read more

Thank you so much for a wonderful night last night for my 60th birthday. Devan who served our table was fun and engaging. While it was busy last night, the quality of the food was not compromised. We were a party of 6 ordered garlic bread, 2 pizzas one of which was the pizza special which had an entire burrata ball on it and 2 orders of pasta primavera with creamy pesto and the ravioli with Bolognese sauce (I think). I honestly don't think there is better wood fired pizza in all of North Idaho. Eat local, support our Sandpoint restaurants and stop at Arlos whether you're a local or visiting us from out of town! read more

THE BEST FOOD!!! We are up here for a wedding and were craving Italian food and we looked up this place. They were busy, so we sat at the bar, which was nice. The restaurant had a very intimate feeling. Best decision. The owner was the bartender and she was the nicest person and made you feel at home. I ordered the cioppino and a house salad, and my husband ordered penne alla panna and their garlic bread. My cioppino was absolutely amazing, the house salad with their homemade balsamic dressing was delicious, my hubby's dish was so good, and don't even get me started on the garlic bread! It was so tasty! It had chucks of garlic in it and we almost ordered a second order of it. I wish I took a picture so I could have shared it on this review! Oh, and I ordered the original Tiramisu. Some of the best I've had! I just wish we lived closer so we could go again, but we live 7 hours away. Totally worth going to, call and make a reservation.
