Highly do not recommend this company at all!!! Worst problem than before!!! Poor customer service!! Rude service manager, owner and staff!!! Going on three months that I've been dealing with issues and things not working properly as my electric bill sores higher than it's ever been. Said I needed a new unit when old unit was only 7 1/2 years old. Never even mentioned "maybe you have a warranty.. you should call the previous company". Well when they said I have a 10 year warranty on the new unit... I thought... maybe I have one on my old unit...after they ripped out my old unit and found that I did have a 10 year warranty on parts and labor!! Now I Keep getting "DELEYED" on my Nest Thermostat since the new unit was installed because it Never shuts down and "DELAYED" to protect the unit on its own several times a day!! Electric bill higher than it was before and ran continuously for 12 days and they said that was normal to adjust to the new unit?!?! They cannot explain anything was mechanically with my unit!!! Completely scammed!! So much for trusting in a "friend." Completely disheartening disappointed and disgusted!!! Consider this your warning!!! Can you imagine what they do to strangers!! 7/29/2025 installed unit without a permit. 10/9/25- county inspection which failed (county notes below) in addition to the float device was not working. Straight cool with 5kw heat not enough heat for 1200sf. Mark kw on a/h. Patch hole in drywall rear of a/h closet. Air leak on right side of unit. Remove all foam on s/a plenum, needs to be duct board plenum with heat shield. Be sure to remove all foam as this is a fire hazard. So not only could my house burnt down! It could've flooded as well. Rep came I immediately asked him if he was ok with a dog in my house. "No problem I have dogs he said". Spent an hour and a half doing work. He left shaking my hand and thanking me for using Armstrong. An hour later he texted me and said my dog had bitten him. Never said a word to me while in my house. My dog has never and will never bite anybody. He asked if my dog had shots. Of course he did. I called Armstrong and asked if he reported an incident. They said no. Armstrong is horrible. Our house was built in 2017. We moved in in 2019. In June 2020 we noticed our vents were dripping with condensation. Armstrong could not identify the problem. They thought it was due to an evaporator coil that needed to be replaced (almost every house in our entire neighborhood had to have evaporator coils replaced after 1-2 years of use). It's a year later, our vents started dripping again this summer. We had another HVAC company take a look and they found that there is a vent blowing cold air onto the AC unit in the attic. They also found water in the duct for our Aprilaire system. The duct has holes in it that were taped over, and when we undid the tape earlier, about a quart of water came streaming out. I called the Armstrong office to ask them to come out because it should still be under warranty, and the manager basically told me "sorry you feel that way." Sorry I feel what way? That water is leaking out of the vents that they installed? Also, the boots are not sealed so warm air has been getting into the ducts and causing condensation. I wanted them to take some accountability for their work but their manager was evasive. I've spoken to my neighbors who have all had problems with this company. Hire them at your own risk. read more

We shopped several companies and had numerous estimates done before we chose Armstrong to replace our 4 AC units. It's huge investment so we were worried about getting the best balance among quality products, great service and excellent results. Armstrong wasn't the cheapest but they were close and we felt good about them from the start. We definitely made the right choice! Not only did they do what they said they would, they did it ahead of schedule, didn't make a mess and even took care of a leak issue from one old units even though it was outside what was covered my the original quote. The first call to Armstrong was made because my a.c. unit was blowing hot air. The tech came out on Mother's day to fix it. He did his best to fix it but because my unit was over 21+ years old, it was only a matter of time before she died completely and she did two days later. Everyone who lives in Florida knows that a proper a.c. unit is a MUST HAVE. I'm glad to say that after a week of suffering without any cool air my new unit was installed and has been humming ever since. The techs came early on install day to avoid the rain that was forecasted to come later that morning (brilliant move) I will definitely recommend them to anyone that asks. More than two years ago Armstrong installing a new HVAC unit in our home but didn't complete the job as the worker said they needed a new circuit breaker which they didn't have so they had to remove a piece of the unit that made it run more efficiently. A year later I contacted them and they still didn't have the part. It's 2.5 years later and still no word from them. read more

They installed the Lennox air system in our new home in 2015. They were the contracted by Lennar Homes for our development. They never registered the system with the Lennox corporation, or more important, never informed us to register the system with Lennox. Thus, your warranty on the system is for 5 years(not registered) instead of the 10 years if registered. We personally registered every appliance that came with the home. Armstrong left NO registration forms for the Lennox system, and none provided by Lennar. Some thing so simple just cost us an extra $1000. Also, I had not used Armstrong after the first year of owning my home because their customer service was substandard, both working with the office and on the job. For the past four years I've been dealing with AC issues but just last week my AC went completely out and as you know living in Orlando Florida the weather is very hot right now. I was at loss knowing what to do and after making many calls to different people a friend recommended Armstrong air and heating in Winter Garden. My third summer of having this AC unit, the air was no longer cold and there was nothing but issues. The cost was around $500 for a fix that did not even last a year (uncovered - because only parts are covered). Now I have to likely spend the same amount maybe even more to fix this same issue yet again this year. I would never buy this brand again and I do not recommend it. Armstrong was the sub who did the HVAC in my new house, and I have to say they are the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. I would have "fired" them by now, BUT, I'm not paying them and I was stuck by my builder with them to service my HVAC warranty. Not only was my house delayed several times due to it failing HVAC inspection from the city inspectors, when I had my own personal home inspector, he commented that while the ducts were finally "to code", it was the "shoddiest job he'd ever seen". Now that I've been in my home nearly 2 years, I've found that that shoddy work really effected the function of my system. I've had ducts fall apart and just blow air in my attic, balancing issues out the wazoo (my office is about 9 degrees colder than my bedroom) even though they've come out to rebalance twice, and the list goes on... They came out to fix one thing, and caused even more problems. To the point where I had water steaming out the ducts and down the wall. I'm just waiting for the mold to grow...because they also haven't been able to figure out why my house is so incredibly humid (there's always condensation on my windows). My neighbors all have similar issues. It's ridiculous. The one saving grace is their customer service girl/scheduler--and that's why I give them 2 stars-- she's awesome, but their technicians leave much to be desired. read more

Is very hard to receive the news that you have to replace your AC. That was me last January. Right after the holidays when money is tight. I started my research and calling friends and family for recomendations as well as my internet research. Armstrong Air & Heating was one of the companies i was referred to by one of my neighbors. To make you the story short i received quotes that went from $2,800 to $7,800 for the same issue. It was so frustrating that everyone will tell me something different and I didn't know who to trust. I am definitely not an AC expert and as a single mom there is always a concern to be an easy target for someone that wants to take advantage of you. Tom Hyatt came to my house and all my fears and worries went away. I felt treated with respect and specially i felt i was being told the truth. Tom was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything is very simple terms so i will understand. He also did his best to offer the right unit that will cover my needs and didn't try to sell me on something more expensive or unnecessary. He asked question about how long I planed to stay in my property and what kind of warranty i wanted to increase the resell cost of my house. At the end, Armstrong was not the cheapest or the most expensive but was the only one that gave me the confidence to invest my money wisely. The following week Armstrong's team of installers came over to install the equipment. Two very well mannered younger gentleman arrived on time at 7:00 am and started working right away. The did an outstanding job taking care of every little detail. They even swept my floors before leaving. They took care of everything and they were done by 5 pm. That is what i call "Same Day service" I am very happy with my purchase, my AC runs great in the cold and now the heat. I can even control it on my phone. After 20 years our existing AC system needed repairs that were too high to justify so we needed to replace it. Our first quote was from our existing AC service company, they quoted 4 models from 14-15 SEER, the higher quotes were for Carrier models, the lower ones for a more generic models. At the suggestion of a friend who works in home construction, we contacted Tom at Armstrong. He gave us a quote for the same 15 SEER Carrier that was lower than what the other company wanted for the 14 SEER generic model. This was without mentioning our friend's name or the other quotes we had, just their standard pricing. The Armstrong quote also included a wi-fi thermostat which was an extra cost upgrade with the other company. We contracted with Armstrong and they set an installation date/time to fit our schedule, and the system installation went smoothly, which no issues. Everybody we dealt with was helpful and professional from the initial contact through installation and we had absolutely no problems during the process. That was about a month ago, and the system has been working fine. read more

The next day (Wed), I went to the Armstrong office in Winter Garden & met with Chris (service & repair) & Todd (sales rep). Their attitude was terrific! Let's get this fixed. We want to send the right people. Due to the severe afternoon thunderstorms, can I hang on till tomorrow morning? Yes, I agreed. Thursday morning, one, two, three work trucks arrived. Three technicians had been sent to fully fix this system. Fernando & Sam were the first to arrive. Absolutely had "Can Do" attitudes & were happy to be here. They were later joined by Brian, who shared the same attitude. Each worked a different problem with the system. When the 3 technicians were done, my ac system was up & running like new. Armstrong stood behind its warranty. No charge. I was amazed. As a Life long Floridian, I have found most ac companies not that competent, or reliable. This is what makes Armstrong Air unique - they are reliable, competent & have a great attitude. I called at 913am to get my ac serviced, first I was transferred to Chris who does not pick up the phone, so I called back and was told they forwarded my info to him and he would call me back. 2hrs later after no call received I called back just to be put to his phone again where again he didn't answer. On my 4th call they finally told me that they could send someone out after hours which includes after hours charges. I called in plenty of time for them to send someone before 7pm. Essentially they wanted to charge me, the loyal customer, for their mistake! Wondering now what else I was charged for that was needless. Do not use this company!! read more
